Adelpha's Pov:
I looked down at my father passed out. He finally got what he deserved. The alcohol in his eyes would make him blind.
Like he wasn't already.
Blind of all the pain he caused. Blind on the pain he inflated on everyone. Blind with the arrogance of himself. Blind with the disgust he carried with himself.
"Adelpha..." April's voice shook from upstairs.
I turned and looked up at her. She looked terrified of me. My heart broke at the sight, but I had no regrets of what I did.
"You're bleeding." She said as she nodded her head towards my stomach.
I looked down at my shirt. Blood covered the space where my ribs were wrapped. I didn't care. It was the price of revenge. The pain of my own injuries coming back.
I turned away from my father and turned towards the steps. I walked up as April backed out of the way of the door and held it opened as I walked passed her. She followed me as I headed into the bathroom.
I looked into the mirror and lifted my shirt. Sure enough there was bleeding from one of the cuts. She grabbed a cloth and held it under the cold water and placed it onto my cut. I sucked in a gasp of air as I felt the cold hit my stomach.
"I'm leaving tomorrow. I'll wait until he's awake, but then I'm leaving." I said as she stood up and pulled away.
She looked at me, I noticed the look. It was the look my mother always had when my father came home.
"He's not going to hurt you ever again." I said as I pulled her into a hug.
She sobbed into my shoulder and mumbled shaky 'thank you' and 'sorrys' I brushed my hand through her hair.
After she calmed down we headed up to bed.
I ran over the events of the past days in my head. Everything changed so fast. One day we were all sitting at the table happy and talking, the next I was beaten and died until April saved me, and then I was beating my father: burning him, blinding him, choking him.
Maybe I am like him. I bury everything down and take my anger out, but I don't take my anger out on innocent people. I don't kill people. But I was still on the road to destruction, tell me all the ways to stay away.
I finally laid my head down and closed my eyes, forcing myself to sleep.

"About what I said the night before..." Draco said as he stood in my doorway.
"About what?" I asked confused.
I think I knew what he was talking about, but I couldn't get my hopes up.
"About no connections or feelings?"
I nodded my head and bit the inside of my bottom lip.
"Well I want to take that back, because um- I think I want connections."
I woke up with a small tear on my cheek. I brushed it away and looked over to the clock. Shit I oversleep a lot. It was 4 o'clock. I walked to my bathroom and slowly stepped into the shower and turned on the hot water. I let my bandages fall to my feet and huddled them up and tossed them in the trash. I struggled taking deep breaths. I couldn't wait to get back to Hogwarts and get proper treatment, because hell I could barley breath or move.
I ran my hands through my hair, brushing it all back as I rinsed the conditioner out. I turned around and titled my head up, letting the water hit me directly in the face. It felt comforting, besides the stinging pain of the bruising and cuts.
When I was done I wrapped my towel gently around my body and walked over to the counter. The shower helped nothing. Only made my injuries look worse and more prominent. Meaning I needed real treatment soon.
I began to get ready.
I did all my basics. Using extra make up to cover my face injuries. The amazing work of full coverage councilor and foundation. I threw on a turtle neck sweater so it covered the bruising hand print around my neck. I grabbed my mothers dress and all my packed stuff and headed down stairs. April was in the kitchen mixing something.
"What is that?" I asked as I set my stuff down by the door to leave.
"Medicine for Chris's eyes." She said guilty.
She was a lot like mother in some ways. Mother always took care of Chris, no matter what. That was a bad part of her.
"Let me see it." I said as she handed it to me.
"I'll take it to him." I mumbled before walking away.
I walked downstairs and looked at my father in a daze. He heard the footsteps and instantly shot his head towards the stairs.
"Who's there?" He asked.
I didn't reply I just continued to walk towards him.
"Who's there I said!?" He shouted.
He jumped back as my hand grabbed the cheeks of his face.
"Adelpha." He said sadly.
"How did you know?"
"Youre hands. They're always soft like your mothers were." He said he tried to move his head away.
I held on tighter and looked into his eyes. They were red all around, besides his pupils.
"So how's it feel?" He asked.
"How's what feel?" I ask as I release my grip on him.
"How's it feel winning. You won Adelpha. You fucking blinded me." He laughs sadly.
"I didn't win, but neither did you." I said as I sniffed at the solution April gave me for him.
"April gave me this solution to help the burning in your eyes, but you'll be blinded for every. I made sure of that. Would you like it?"
"Please, yes please." He begged as he sat up.
"Then promise me this."
"Ok what?"
"You never, and I mean never lay your fucking hand on April again. You set her free. Let her go back to her family."
"How will I do anything?" He asked.
"You'll figure it out." I said coldly.
"Adelpha please." He begged.
"Here, do it yourself then. It should be easy." I said as I sat the syringe in his hand.
He shakily grabbed it and held it up aiming it. I watched as it poured beside his ear onto the couch, using all of it.
I let a snicker flow from my lips.
"Well guess you're screwed." I said as I stood up and started to walk away.
"You're a bitch!" He screamed aimlessly.
"Now I would say see you in other life time, but you can't see." I said from your the stairs.
I listened as he cried.
"Goodbye Chris." I said before shutting the door.
April soon appeared with a confused look on her face.
"Go pack your bags, your going home to your family." I said before walking towards the door.
She instantly ran upstairs grabbing her things and met me at the door.
"Thank you." She said with a tear falling from her eye as she smiled at me.
"No thank you." I said as I wrapped my arm around her and guided us out to the cold to soon be met with a train to leave.
I watched as she boarded her train, waving be goodbye and thanking me.
"I love you so so much!" She yelled from the window.
I watched in happiness and sadness.
"I love you too." I whispered under my breath.
She was already gone before I could say it, so I said it to myself. I waited for my train. There was barley anyone on it. Considering everyone was away with family.
I watched as the scenery played before my eyes. The farther away from my father. The farther away from my misery.
Tell me all the ways to stay away.
As the train sped away, I could've sworn I seen my mother on the platform smiling in nothing but love at me.
