Mei tried to fight the urge to not go on twitter but she was curious just like anybody else would be. She wouldn't even have gotten on twitter if Quackity hadn't warned her. So, she clicked on the vicious app called twitter.

"Huh." left Mei's mouth, confused. She clicked on the third tag expecting something random. But the words Corpse and THEYRE DATING followed.
user: They have to be dating... I mean like in Quackitys stream Corpse said they were married! they're dating... right?

Mei hummed quietly while reading through other genuinely hateful comments. She resisted the urge to reply since that would most likely just bring more hate to her.

Mei sent the last text before getting back onto twitter. To keep reading others opinions on her majority would be kind but soon as she dug deeper... Lies. People brought up things Mei had forgotten about and things that were twisted and manipulated to fit the image that she was in fact a horrible person. They said things like they needed to save Corpse from her.
Mean. Unattractive. Annoying. And many other words you would only think about calling your worst enemy.
It was horrifying for Mei. She knew that the internet was ruthless and was used to hate but this was something different. This was hate from Corpse's fan base, her friends fan base hated her.
She never really experienced thousands of people hating on her at one time. Or at least she didn't pay it much mind.
Mei tweeted as she awaited replies. She scrolled through the replies, her eyes only catching onto the negative ones.

Mei quickly clicked onto the link someone had sent under Corpses tweet. Her eyes widening at the content that was being posted and spread.
user: she was bullying lily (my friend) in discord

Mei groaned before throwing her phone to the side. Then laying in a starfish position, staring at the wall above her. Focusing on her breathing as she yawned drowsily. She felt like a zombie, it hurt to open her eyes or move at all. Any type of movement would make her feel horrible.
Her phone started to ring

But she continued to lay there. Listening to the ringing tune coming from her phone.
No thoughts just silence. Something Mei dreaded, silence. But at this moment it just felt right.

Mei's phone continued to ring over and over again. She groaned and sat up straight to pick up the call. Quickly pressing accept.
"What?" spoke Mei in a harsh voice
"Don't what me." replied back Genesis
"You've been calling for like ten minutes."
"No, I haven't. This is my second call."
"Oh. So, other people have been calling me as well."
"Obviously, Mei. They care about you."
"It's fine I don't know why people are freaking out."
"Mei, you haven't been answering people. Of course, theyre worried!"
"Yeah but it's not like anything happened."
"You're still trending on twitter."
"Yeah, so what?"
"Mei."
"Just shut up about twitter, okay? I'm sick of thinking about everything."

"Mhm." spoke Mei as she hung up.
but another call came through.
"Yes?" Mei picked up.
"I'm sorry." spoke Quackitys voice
"Why?"
"I forgot to tell you guys I was streaming."
"It's fine, Quackity. Not your fault at all. This whole thing is stupid and not something to get upset over."
"Yes. I agree."
"Is that all you wanted to say?"
"Sorry again. I'll clear this whole thing up."
"No. That'll put your career in danger. I'll disprove the photoshopped screenshots and that'll be that."
"Fine but i'm still tweeting."
"Look, I cant stop you from doing anything but it's best if you don't. Not until I'm done."
"I get it. Sorry, I was stepping out of place."
"You're fine Quackity. Don't worry honestly it's not your fault at all. I promise you so don't think that it is." spoke Mei getting a laugh out of Quackity
"Hm?" hummed Mei
"It's just- I was supposed to be the one comforting you."

Mei closed her eyes to compose herself but her phone started to ring again and she picked up.
"Hi, hello. I'm fine stop calling."
"Are you really?" asked Corpses voice
"Yup." spoke Mei popping the last letter
"Mei."
"You're involved too, are you okay?" Mei asked back
"I am, I didn't get much backlash."
"But you still got some?"
"Well, not really but seeing people hate on you felt like i did."
"Oh."
"It'll be over soon, I promise."
"I know, Corpse. I know."
