It was two o'clock in the morning and Capri could hear them going at it, que descarado. (How shameless)
They had arrived home about two hours ago, Marcella and Mateo had dashed to the bedroom, locking themselves in.
Ever since then Capri couldn't fucking sleep and all she could her was Marcella's obnoxious moans as she called out Mateo's name in a whiny voice.
Capri wanted to throw something at the wall.
She abruptly got up from her bed and walked out of her bedroom as she made her way downstairs to the kitchen, she stopped in her tracks as she found some of Mateo's men gathered together as they spoke casually, including Tony.
"You guys can't fucking sleep either with Marcella sounding like a dying cow"? She said as signaled behind herself.
They all laughed before nodding in unison.
"Come sit with us Capri". Tony chuckled as he pulled out the chair next to him.
"Thanks".
"So, a few of us saw you at the party talking to Colombo".

"You know I'm feeling kind of sleepy, I think I'll head up". She went to stand but was aggressively pulled down by the shoulder as Tony gave her a firm stare, she sighed.
"Yea I was speaking to him, he's my principal, I can talk to who I want". She said with a shrug.
"Not when you're living with the Russo's". Tony interjected earning glare from Capri.
"Well maybe I'll just move out, how about that"?
A smirk displayed on her face as all the men stared at her in bewilderment.
"I'm eighteen so I can legally leave whenever I want, I think it's time for some freedom, don't you guys think so"?
They all shook their head in unison, disagreeing with her suggestion.
"Capri you don't know what you're saying". Tony said, his voice laced with worry.
"All I know is that you guys are another group of men trying to control the life of a woman who is legally an adult and can do whatever she wants, when is the sexism going to end huh"? She raised a brow as she crossed her arms, forcing them to look away as her stare became too much for them.
"Your protection wouldn't be the same
Capri". Tony reinforced.
"If I knew what I need to be protected from maybe I could rethink my decision".
"Men like Colombo that's who".
Her head snapped towards Tony who now had his palm placed flatly on the surface of the counter as his worried expression took over his face.
"Colombo wouldn't harm a hair on my head, he treats me better than Mateo ever has".
She was now annoyed with Tony who kept contradicting everything she said, she was an adult, she could make her own decisions.
She loudly scoffed as Tony's gaze kept penetrating her, she didn't want to be around him anymore.
"I'll see if that dying cow has shut up by now so I can get some sleep".
Capri walked out of the kitchen, none of the men stopping her as she left.

Tony and Mateo listened to the audio in his office, Colombo had been trying to convince her to leave with him once again.
The dress that was chosen for Capri wasn't just personally hand picked by Loretta, Mateo had also seen it beforehand and had ordered to put a small mic in it just in case.
"She keeps talking about now being an adult and that she's ready for freedom, we can't legally do shit". Tony said with a worried tone.
"And when have we ever done something legal Tony"? Mateo scoffed, earning a glare from his friend.
"No Mateo one thing is shipping drugs and killing people who do us wrong and another is kidnapping a girl you're suppose to protect". Tony spoke sternly.
Mateo was getting annoyed with him.
"Listen this is my responsibility and if I say she's not going anywhere then she's not fucking going anywhere"!
Mateo was now fuming as he stood up and stared Tony down who walked away without a second glance.
"Tell her to come to my office now"! Mateo added in.

Capri had been told that Mateo wanted to see her, he had something important to tell her apparently.
She opened the door slowly after knocking and hearing his voice boom through the other side, giving her permission to come in.
"You wanted to see me"? She asked with a neutral expression.
"Yes, come in".
She stepped in further, sitting on the sofa away from him, it ticked him off something she had noticed.
She wore a black mini skirt and a black crop top paired with flat sandals, her seating position gave him a good view of her pink panties underneath, his cock twitched at the sight.
"I've been hearing things around here, something about you wanting freedom and living on your own"?
"Mhmm". She responded, tapping away at her phone as Mateo spoke.
She was testing his patience.

"I'm tired of you telling me what to do, not even my father acted like a such a fucking asshole". She bit back, crossing her arms with a huff.

They stared each other down before he hit play on his laptop, Colombo's and Capri's voice booming through the office.
Her face contoured in confusion at first before her eyes widened in realization.
"I can't even have a private fucking conversation now can I"! She yelled, stalking past him as she went around his desk to pause the audio.
"Why must you have control of me, one thing is protecting me and one thing is wanting to posses me you fucking freak"!
Capri pushed him hard, her eyes wide in anger as she watched him calmly take her blows.
She continued pushing and pushing, hitting his chest with her fists, Mateo had had enough.
He quickly grabbed one of her hands as it flung towards him, swiftly pulling her into him as he grabbed her by the jaw.
"It doesn't matter what you do, what you say or where you go, you will never escape me, Caro Mío, you're mine". He seethed, a small smirk etched on his face.
Capri hated him, he had been so sweet on her birthday when he gave her the gift but now he was being as toxic as they come.
"I'll kill myself before I stay with you, if I can't have myself no one can". She pushed Mateo away from her before running out, leaving her words to linger in the air as he took them in.
Mateo had lied to himself, he didn't want her away from him, he didn't want to give her the freedom she deserved, he believed she was his to keep.
