Princess makes it to her dorm room and flops on her bed and shoves her face in her pillow. The door opens and Catlin walks in, she sees princess on her bed.
"Oh hey Princess, what are you doing here?" She asked walking into the roo.
"..."
Getting no reply she walks over and sits on her bed.
"Hey, what's wrong?" She said putting her hand on Princess's shoulder.
"Why does life have to be so unfairnest Catlin." Princess said getting up with her pillow in her hand.
"This is about true hearts day Isn't it?" Catlin said.
"How did you know?" Princess asked.
"The only time you get like this is when true hearts day comes around." Catlin said.
"Is it that obvious?" Princess asked embarrassed.
"Oh it is very obvious. You used to love, love, but ever since Dutchess gave up her destiny and it fell on your shoulders. It's like your love slowly disappeared. Where did it go Princess?" Catlin asked.
"I-I don't know." Princess said.
"Listen Princess. You can't keep doing this to yourself. Sometimes the things we really want are really worth fighting for." Catlin said and she got up and walked to the door.
"You may not get it now, but you will." Catlin said.
"How are you so sure?" Princess asked looking towards her.
"Because. One, I'm your best friend and two, have I ever been wrong?" Catlin said.
"No. You haven't." Princess said.
"Exactly." Catlin said about to leave.
"Catlin?" Princess said.
"Yeah?" Catlin asked.
"Could you do me a favour and help Cupid and Briar with the party, I'm not...really feeling that up to it anymore." Princess said and Catlin sighed.
"Alright." Catlin said closing the door.
*Later*
A goose just delivered the next batch of deliveries to ever after high.
"And so you're telling me all these hear shaped cakes are for your, play?" Grimm asked
"Yep." Briar said.
"For the play!" Cupid said.
"You know it." Hopper said.
"There for that really funny scene where,uh, Briar throws them at Hopper." Cupid said.
"Excuse me?"
"Oh yeah. It's such a funny scene. I just wind up and, ugh!" Briar said taking out a cake from the box Cupid was holding and throws it at Hopper.
*Splat!*
Hopper licks around his mouth, smiles and gives a thumbs up.
"Very well." Grimm said after looking at them suspiciously making the others sigh in relief.
"Hey guys, how's it going with the play?" Catlin asked walking towards them.
"Oh yeah, uh, the play. It's going great!" Cupid said.
"Don't worry about it Princess told me the details and asked me to help you guys." Catlin said.
"She's not helping out anymore, but why?" Hopper asked.
"Let's just say the smell of love got too much for her." Catlin said.
"Oh...Well then I guess we're just gonna have to make this play make her love the smell of love." Cupid said determined.
"Yeah." Briar said.
*Later*
Ashlynn is walking through town square looking down and upset. She notices Apple in the hair salon. Dutchess walks and stands beside her.
"Hi Ashlynn." She said.
"Dutchess, what do you want?" Ashlynn asked walking away from her, but Dutchess hopes in front of her.
"What do I want? My own happily ever after of course." Dutchess said as Ashlynn walks away from her but she follows. "And now that everyone knows that you're dating a rebel, it looks like there's one available. No glass slipper for you. Hmp!" Dutchess said.
"So you're happy about Hunter and I dating while my best friends aren't, maybe I did make a mistake." Ashlynn said walking away.
"What? No! You're totally the right thing follow your heart! and all that sappy stuff." Dutchess said.
*Castleteria*
Humphrey Dumpty tried to take a seat with Cedar, Cerise, Roberth and Hunter.
"Sorry I'm saving that seat." Hunter said and Humphrey left. Hunter whistles and woodlen creatures prepared a plate and cutlery.
"Woah dude aren't you becoming a full on romantic?" Roberth teases making Hunter blush. Ashlynn walks into the Castleteria.
"Hey Ashlynn!*Ahem*" he cleared his throat and birds flew down dropping flowers making a flowery path for Ashlynn. She walks over to him looking a little sad.
"Hunter. We need to talk." Ashlynn said making Roberth drop his chip eyes widened in surprise.
"Uh,oh. That doesn't sound good." He said.
"Uh, Ashlynn?" Hunter said.
Everyone looked confused and followed the couple as well to the hallway.
"I just, I thought that this would be a good thing showing everyone we were dating. I thought it would take the pressure off, but now... everything is worse." Ashlynn said.
"What are you saying?" Hunter asked.
"My friends are upset. I don't know what's going to happen to our stories." Ashlynn said.
"Yeah, but."
Ashlynn takes his hand."Hunter. I don't want anything bad to happen to us, to you. I think...we should break up." She said gently pushing him away, shocking poor Hunter. She took of the flower crown he made for her.
"I'm sorry." She said and she walked away on the verge of crying. Princess feeling horrible rushed after her to at least comfort her friend.
Roberth stood beside Hunter and put his arm over Hunter's shoulder. "Let's go Hunter." He said taking the sad Hunter away from the crowd leaving a guilty Apple behind.
And so as the sun set on Ever After High.
Briar is snoring away as the fairies brush her hair. Ashlynn, as she powders her face she notices a picture of her and Hunter and she looks down sadly.
The students were getting fairest of the big dance.
Cedar was rubbing her cheek and the dust as she did so her dust got into Cerise's nose making her sneeze causing a cloud of powder to appear.
Apple's doves tied a ribbon on her outfit, removed the curlers and dropped her crown on her haid, while Raven snapped her fingers and her ravens put her headphones on her ears and one gave her her mirror pad.
Catlin was going through her closet looking for something to wear, while Princess was putting on her make up. Catlin comes out with a silly outfit and hat in front of her body, Princess notices and burst out laughing.
Cupid threw down a rope of sheets and climbed down, she climbs to Grimms window and gasps making her way down faster before landing on the ground, Blondie locks on the other hand falls on her butt.
The students run over the bridge to the party.Meanwhile Sparrow is strumming on his guitar by the fountain as a black swan approaches him, it turns into Dutchess and she skips towards him.
"Sparrow. I need you to help me ruin the true hearts dance tonight." She said.
"What! Why?" He asked.
"Briar is planning it and if I can get her in trouble in trouble with Headmaster Grimm then, there'll be a new opening in the royal ranks." Dutchess explained making Sparrow a little frustrated.
"You know what, I am done. With you." He said.
"What's ruffled your feathers?" Dutchess asked.
"I. Sparrow Hood. The rockingest, Handsomest guy in this school can't find out where the dance is! No one will tell me coz I'm friends with you." He said.
"Well someone around here must know something." Dutchess said.
"You really think anyone's gonna tell you the truth." He asked. Dutchess heard a rustling of paper and turns to see Cedar.
"There's one person at this school who's cursed to." Dutchess said with a glint in her eyes.
