16. The Bus Ride

The day planned for the camp finally arrived and everyone was in high spirits. All the stuff loaded was loaded in the bus and everyone was good to go.

Everyone jumped in the bus and made themselves comfortable. The camp was going to be in a nearby forest not too far away from America's place.

Everyone in the bus was excited, especially America. He was singing bus songs really loudly.

"So noisy." you grumbled, removing your phone from your bag, plugging in the earphones and putting some all time favourites.

You settled comfortably on the seat, leaned by the window and admired the nature while Price Tag was playing in your ears.

Coconut man ,Moonhead, And P.

You ready?

Since everybody's got a price,

I wonder how they sleep at night,

When the sale comes first and

The truth comes second,

Just stop for a minute.. And smile!

Why is everybody so serious?

Acting so damn mysterious?!

Got shades on your eyes,

And your heels so high that you can't even have a good time!

Everybody look to-

You were rudely interrupted when someone snatched your phone.

"Hey, what the hell?" you snarled, turning to whoever took your phone.

"Hey, what song is that?" asked America as he played the paused song out really loud. So loud, that everyone's attention turned to America.

-their left!

Everybody look to their right!

Can you feel that, yeah

We're payin' with love tonight!

"It's Price Tag!" shouted America, "Let's sing to it!"

"Huh? But-"

Before you could even complete your sentence, America grabbed your arm and got you on your feet.

"Let's sing!" he pleaded. You rolled your eyes and obliged, much to America's joy.

"Who want to sing along with us?!" America shouted to the others.

"I'm in-aru!" said China.

"Me too-ve!" said Veneziano.

"Iggy! Wanna sing?" asked America, looking at England, who was enjoying milk tea with India.

"No thanks." said England with due seriousness.

"Suit yourself!"

"That's not fair, America!" you whined.

"What is?"

"How come you persuade me to sing and let England off when he doesn't want to?!" you complained.

"Ah, about that," He came close to your face and whispered, "Y'see, Iggy can be quite scary sometimes. So, when he's got that serious look on his face, I wouldn't wanna mess with him!"

"Oh. That makes sense."

"His food sucks too..." America whispered less loudly.

"Start a fight with England again and you'll get a piece of me." you threatened, shaking your fist at him.

"Yeah, cool." he said and ruffled your hair. Then he turned to the others.

"Okay! China, Italy and ___, you ready?!"

America started,

Since everybody's got a price,

I wonder how they sleep at night,

Italy joined in.

When the sale comes first,

And the truth comes second,

Just stop for a minute and...smile!

China joined in the next.

Why is everybody so serious?

Acting so damn mysterious?!

Got shades on your eyes

And your heels so high, that you can't even have a good time!

You jumped in,

Everybody look to their left!

Everybody look to their right!

Can you feel that yeah,

We're payin' with love tonight!

The four of you sang the chorus really loudly.

It's not about the money, money, money!

We don't need your money, money, money!

We just want to make the world dance,

Forget about the price tag!

Out of the blue, Prussia, the awesome, joined in.

Ain't about the (ha!) cha-ching, cha-ching!

Ain't about the (yeah!) b-bling, b-bling!

Wanna make the world dance

Forget about the price tag!

"Prussia, you're singing off-tune!" you scolded.

"I don't care," he smirked, "When it comes to the awesome me, I sing the way I want! I sound awesome, don't I?"

You sighed at his narcissism.

We need to take it back in time,

When music made us all unite,

"I THINK SHE SHOULDA MADE IT FOOD INSTEAD OF MUSIC." America shouted his opinion over the music which everyone ignored.

And it wasn't low blows and video hoes

Am I the only one gettin' tired?

Why is everybody so obsessed?

Money can't buy us happiness!

Germany nodded at the line furiously.

Can we all slow down and enjoy right now,

Guarantee we'll be feeling... alright?

Everybody look to their left!

Everyone actually turned left.

Everybody look to their right!

Everyone looked to the right.

Can you feel that yeah,

We're payin' with love tonight!

This time, everyone in the whole bus sang the chorus, excluding Germany and England.

It's not about the money, money, money,

We don't need your money, money, money,

We just wanna make the world dance,

Forget about the price tag!

Ain't about the (ha!) cha-ching, cha-ching!

Ain't about the (yeah!) b-bling, b-bling!

Wanna make the world dance,

Forget about the price tag!

"I'M GOING TO RAP, Y'ALL." America grabbed a water bottle and readied himself.

"Kill it!" you cheered.

We'll keep the price tag,

And take the cash back.

Just give me six strings,

and a half stack.

And you can, can keep the cars,

Leave me the garage,

And all I, yes all I need are keys and guitar

And guess what, in thirty seconds, I'm leaving to Mars!

"Blasphemy!" England shouted, earning a glare from America.

Yeah, we leaping across these undefeatable odds,

It's like this man, you can't put a price in life,

We do this for the love, so we fight and sacrifice it every night,

So we ain't we gonna stumble and fall, never!

Waiting to see us in sign of defeat, uh uh!

America shook his finger, eyes closed, to that line.

So we gonna keep everyone moving they feet,

So bring back the beat and then everyone sing,

It's not about the money.

Everyone sang the last part louder than before,

It's not about the money, money, money!

We don't need your money, money, money!

We just wanna make the world dance,

Forget about the price tag!

Ain't about the (ha!) cha-ching, cha-ching!

Ain't abiut the (yeah!) b-bling, b-bling!

Wanna make the world dance,

Forget about the price tag.

Yeah, yeah, forget about the price tag...

Everyone gasped for breath right after the song got over and cheered again. You suddenly realized something and looked at Veneziano. He noticed you looking at him and asked,

"Is something wrong, bella?"

"Veneziano...weren't you supposed to be driving the bus?" you asked. Everyone looked at Veneziano with sweat drops.

"Oops...?" he said and shrugged guiltily.

"Damn!" Germany cursed under his breath and ran to the wheel. Somehow, he controlled the wobbly bus.

"We're off track!" he shouted, "Anyone has a map?!"

You shivered, wondering how the bus was going straight for almost five minutes. One wrong move, everyone's dead.

"I do!!" shouted America and handing the map to Germany.

"This is the map of America! Give me the map of the campsite!" Germany yelled at America with urgency.

"I don't have it!" wailed America.

"Dammit! Here you go!" said England, tossing the camp map to America. Germany halted the bus and snatched the map from America.

He went through the map carefully while everyone in the back were mentally roasting Veneziano for being so tardy.

"Alright, I figured it out! Everyone strap on your seat belts! This ride's going to be bumpy!" warned Germany, getting the gears ready.

Everyone sat down firmly on their seats as Germany drove down the bumpy road. Everyone jumped up and down. England couldn't even drink his tea!

Finally, after what seemed like an hour, we reached the campsite. You sighed in relief. Not just you, everyone did. Later that day, Veneziano got a good scolding from Germany.

But, he just shrugged it off and helped pitch the tents.

To be continued~
