You had a best friend, the both of you where inseparable.
It was bennett. The unlucky adventurer.
He was always nice to you, and was always talking about adventuring when he was old enough.
You also told him that when you where old enough you would adventure with him, side by side.
But that couldnt happen.
For your parents had to move to liyue for business, tearing you apart from bennett.
It truly was depressing.
You were Bennett's only friend, no one else wanted to play with him since he had bad luck.
But that didnt bother you, it was part of bennett.
Before you had to leave, he have you a present.
"S-since you have to leave...I got us matching friendship r-rings." Bennetts small voice quivers as he hands you a small black satchel with a red ribbon.
You open it with teary eyes, seeing a silver band.
It had a pattern engraved into it, its intricate design making your eyes wander into each crevice.
You slip it onto your middle finger, still to big to fit on properly.
Bennett puts his on, also too big for his finger.
You start to cry as you engulf him into a tight hug, his arms holding onto you as he starts to cry.
"Y/n! It's time to go!"
Your parents had called you.
Your heart raced, how long would it be until you see him next.
Pulling away with tears staining your face.
"When I'm old enough...i-ill come find you in monstadt!! I'll be an adventurer! Wait for me please, ok?"

"I'll see you soon bennett..." you mutter out as you pull him into another hug, bidding him goodbye as you run back to your parents and get into the wagon.
You wave him goodbye one last time through the window, your parents pulling you into your seat properly.
That memory flashes through your mind as you approach monstadts gate.
You were finally old enough to be an adventurer, you traveled all the way from liyue to monstadt.
As you enter the city, memories flash back as you glance around, taking in all of the sights.
As you spot the adventures guild, you quickly sprint over to it, meeting with a girl behind the counter.
"Welcome to the adventures guild, is there anything I can help you with today?"
You shuffle a little, clearly nervous since you havent seen bennettnin so long.
Twisting the weathered silver ring on your pinky, you answer.
"Umm...is there anyone named bennett in the adventures guild?" You question with hopeful thoughts.
"Yes, hes the unlucky adventurer, with his own adventure team called, benny's adventure team. Though there are no participants because they all left due to his bad luck."
Your eyes widen as you lean forwards slightly.

You compose yourself, mind still trying to comprehend that information.
"Do you know where he is at the moment?" You question hopefully.
"Yes, he took a commission in stormberrer mountains, he should be up by the tip."
Your jaw drops from her answer.
"T-thank you so much!!" You shout as you take off, opening up your map as you sprint your way to stormberrer mountains.
It took a while, but you made it.
Slowing to a walk, you look in all directions, trying to find him anywhere.
Although, there was no signs of bennett.
You sigh depressingly.
"Ugh...bennett.....where are you."
As if the gods had heard you, you hear human activity in the distance.
Quickly sprinting over there, you see a tall hillichurl tower.
There were some dead hillichurls on the floor, you hear a male voice from the top of the tower, a burnt hillichurl falling off of it.
"Woo! Thats the last of them!" The voice seemed quite happy and up beat.
Your eyes widen, that could be bennett.
"Hey! You up on the tower!!" You shout, summoning your bow just in case it wanst someone friendly.
"Huh?! Someone down there?" You hear the same voice again, someone leaning over the top.
Suddenly, they lean over a bit too far, literally falling over.
Quickly, you use your anemo vision and create a strong wind current, somewhat cushioning their fall.
They land with a thud. The boy had silvery-white hair, tan skin and scars over his arms.
They had their sword in one hand, it was purple and black with a magenta eye looking thing in the center.

You kneel down to them, feeling concerned about this person's heath since they just fell from a huge tower.
They lift their face up, a bit of dirt on his face with his eyes closed, a warm smile.
"I'm ok! Thanks for the he-" he stops in his tracks, his bright green eyes opening and locking with yours.
"W-wait!! Y/n?!" He shouts, quickly getting to his feet.
"Is that you bennett?" You question, looking all over him and scanning his body.
"Yes!!! Its you!!" Bennett shouts as he engulfs you into a tight embrace, laughing loudly as tears prick his eyes.
You laugh as well, latching onto him tightly as he picks you up and spins you around.
"I cant believe it!! I havent seen you in so long bennett!" You shout as you bury your face into his neck, the tears if happiness dripping down your face.
"Haha! I know it's been ages!" He shouts as he nuzzles closer, pressing his nose into your hair.
There was something hard poking your chest, it felt like a marble or something.
You pull away just enough to see his face.
He had the brightest smile you've ever seen.
He laughs again as he separates from the hug, the tears of joy still on his eyes.
"Its been sooooo long! Haha...I'm glad you remembered me, I for sure thought that you forgot, knowing my luck..."
You pat his shoulder, reassuring him.
"How could I forget you? Your amazing and I dont think I could ever even if I tried."
He laughs embarrassedly, blush coaxing his cheeks.
"Aw...your so sweet." You start to take in everything. His voice had gotten deeper, he was much taller, and had a more muscular frame too.
And you noticed that he wasnt wearing his ring...
Maybe it was too childish, and it was just a little ring that he gave you, but you still wore it.
"Heyyy? Are you still there? Earth y/n?" He states, waving his hand into the air.
"Ah! Sorry, it's just that you've changed so much!" You wave your own hands in the air, dismissing his worries.
"Huh! Your still wearing it?!" He states as he grabs onto your hand, looking at the weathered sliver ring.
"Oh...yeah haha..."
"I cant believe it still fits you, my finger got too big so I put it on a chain and wear it as a necklace now!" He exclaims as he holds the necklace up.
Your face burns with heat from his actions, he really still remembered.
He suddenly clasps your hands in his, a bright smile over his face.
"We have alot of catching up to do, hehe."
The sun had set, almost nighttime.
The beautiful stars scattered across the night sky, like speckles of white paint over a dark and deep blue canvas.
The both of you were sat at the top of the hillichurl tower, sitting next to eachother as you just talked about things with eachother.
You learned about his vision, the stories of the scars on his body, about some of his friends, he talked about the infamous traveler, you really wishes to meet them.
You also told him about your life, how you got your vision, interesting stories, your friends in liyue, everything.
You softly sigh, leaning your back against the wood beam.
"Its so nice to see you again...I missed you alot." You speak softly.
He turns s to meet your face, a bright smile graced over his features.
"Yeah! I'm so happy that you remembered. I thought that you completely forgot about me...just like everyone else..." you noticed his smile fading as he speaks.
"Its just that...no one wants to adventure or hang out with me because of my bad luck...I'm quite lonely honestly..."
You sit back up properly, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Haha...t-thank you for staying by my side...e-even if you werent exactly next to me..." his voice cracks as his lip quivers, tears welling him his emerald eyes.
"Bennett?!" You question as a stay tear rolls down his cheek.
Suddenly, your engulfed into a tight hug, bennett nuzzling his nose into your neck as his chest heaves.
"T-thank you...for e-everything...your amazing..." he mutters out as he gips onto your shirt more.
You sigh softly, wrapping your arms around him as you comb through his hair.
"You dont have to thank me. It's what I'm here for..."
Idk what to do for bennett but I thought the idea of the ring was really cute.
