Pack Training

"Alright, since everyone is here, let's get started," Sky clears her throat as she steps above a tall rock.

"Hopefully you all have had the morning off and slept in but now it's time to wake your sleepy asses up and go exercise,"Sky laughs as she looks down at everyone.

"Before we start though, I would like to welcome my mate. Some of you have seen her around, others have heard of her, but now you can meet her. She will be joining us for practice today so GO EASY on her and treat her with the respect you would give to your future luna," Sky ended with a smile as she said "future luna". I blushed a little at the idea and grabbed the hand Sky held out for me to come up to her.

"Hello everyone. My name is Ally. Nice to meet you all," I say nervously but suck it up because I want them to like me. They all smiled and gleamed at me which made me feel a little better.

"Ok," Sky says as she claps her hands together to get the attention back, "let's do 3 laps around the forest here. DO NOT go near the borders, keep to the forest line around the main camp. After that, come back here for further instruction. Move out," Sky commanded, which still sounded hot. Hot memories of this morning were brought up in my mind and I couldn't help but blush a little more. Sky turns around to look at me.

"Okay, we are going to have some practice ourselves," Sky smirked, which surprised me because I did not think I would have to practice.

"I thought you were going to teach me," I asked.

"I am, but we also are going to train," Sky sirked further which started to scare me. I love to workout but I have a feeling werewolf training is much, much harder.

"Oh no," I say nervously and Sky gives out a small laugh.

"Cmon, put this sports bra on," Sky grabs something out of a bag.

"I forgot to get some stuff when we were leaving so I mind-linked a pack member to get it for us. You get a water bottle and some hand wraps as well as the sports bra," Sky said. I took off my shirt and quickly put on the sports bra not caring about Sky's lingering stare on my chest.

"Here," Sky motioned for my hand and showed me how to wrap my hands, luckily I followed and could do it for my other hand.

"Thanks," I blush lightly as Sky puts on some boxing gear.

"As we train, I'll teach you. This helps with multitasking and focusing," Sky smirks as she turns to face me. I stare and stick my tongue out at her.

I knew she was planning something.

"Aw cub," Sky says fakely, "Come here." I motion forward as Sky grabs me and pushes me against her. In a second, her lips are on mine making me forget all the hatred I have on this training.

"Come on, let's start," Sky tells me as she motions me to back up.

"Hit me," Sky says and I choke on a laugh but when I turn to look up at her, she looks completely serious. I throw a punch and she dodges to the side. I throw another right hook but this time it hits her gear.

"So, you already know every day we have training except for Sundays because we like to give people a day off. We are not complete monsters," Sky laughs as I go for another punch. This time I miss but she actually swings at me which I duck at.

"Everyone above 12 trains, but for alpha and beta children, usually by blood they are the next leaders, but if a beta, let's say, does not have children or even does have a hier, the future alpha can still pick who they want as their beta. But anyway, beta and alpha children start training at 10, if you are the heir, it's at the age of 8. That means around 1600 of our around 2000 population trains every day," Sky says as she dodges another one of my attacks.

"Training keeps us a united, healthy pack, able to fight off enemies. You would be surprised at the number of rogues there are, either banished from past packs, or are actually from dead packs that were killed off. We don't get many because we offer a lot of help to rogues, think of us as accepting "immigrants" into a country, but we don't lock them in cages. We also have a lot of strong allies to help us back up, including the coven of witches living 3 miles away from us. They are incredible help," Sky laughs. I run up to her and try a maneuver but Sky catches onto my trail. We calm down for a breather until I see the pack returning from the run.

"Okay, everyone, split up into groups of five. Now, after doing that, go against another group of five, try people a different age or so. One will be a group of rogues or attackers, the other will be protecting the pack land. No shifting today but can definitely rough fight. I encourage it. Now get to it," Sky laughs along with the whole pack as she says that. Rough fighting definitely meant getting a few broken bones.

I am so happy I am not a werewolf right now.

"Now you and I," Sky says as she turns back to me again, "We will be stepping it up again," Sky smirks at me while I gulp in fear and take a sharp intake of breath. Sky rushes to her bag and grabs two long escrima sticks. She throws one at me and I nervously catch it as I whisper my death wishes to God.

Oh no.

"Relax cub, we will go easy," Sky laughs. I grip my stick tighter and feel the stick moving throughout my fingers.

Relax Ally. Take a deep breath even though you are going against an alpha werewolf.

"Okay, I am ready," I say as my eyes narrow on Sky and I take off running. I hit her on my right since I will land a bigger hit, but she senses my moves and blocks it while also using her fingers on my hips, tickling me.

"I thought this was practice, not cuddle session," I smirk at her. She lowers her gaze and smirks back. "Oh, just you wait," Sky mouths back at me which makes me a little nervous but I try to not lose my objective.

I ran back at her again this time thinking of a new move she wouldn't predict but since she is stronger and faster, she saw my move coming. Sky ducks at my hit, turns around and tries to hit behind me. I smirked as I figured out her game. I bring my stick back before she hits me and I sense her proudness in my block.

"You're right, this is fun once you get the hang of it," I smirk back at her.

"I suppose we both have that competitive spirit. You want to continue sparring?," Sky smiles at me.

"Hell yeah," I replied back. Sky grabs her shirt and lifts it up to wipe some sweat off her face and I see her beautiful six pack. She smirks back at me.

"You did that on purpose. You want to distract me, but I won't blame you. I would look at you all day," I smile back and I swear I saw a small blush on Sky's face. Sky takes the initiative and goes on offense.

"Always expect the unexpected," Sky smirks.

Think Ally. No way to block with her strength and speed. Stand your ground girl.

I think of different options and by the time Sky tries to hit, I block and move to the opposite side of her ready for her next impact, this time harder. I block both her hits near my legs and chest. I turn the game around and start taking the initiative.

I am 100% not letting her beat me.

As I go to swing around, she blocks with her stick, squats and grabs my legs to bring me doing a 180 in the air and falling on my back, hard. I groan as she climbs on top of me to block my efforts to get up.

"Oh cub, I'm so sorry my wolf took over and I wasn't thinking. You're okay right?," Sky asks worriedly. I smirk to myself and grab her thighs and flip her over. My stick lands over her and my thighs surround her neck.

"Always expect the unexpected," I repeat her words back to her and nothing but proudness surrounds her face.

"If you wanted to sit on my face, all you had to do was ask," Sky laughs and I blush deeply.

"I am in pain though, can we take a break for a second?," I ask Sky.

"No worries cub. Yes we can," Sky replies as I get off her to grab my water bottle. I hear a few cheers behind me and I look over to see some of the pack members were clapping at the fact I had taken Sky down.

"Oh my god, I am SO GLAD I made it to training on time," I hear Mika laughing. "No one ever beats Sky," she adds.

I smile to myself and chuckle as I go to get water. I feel Sky pulling my shirt up, probably to check for bruises. I wince a little as she touches a part of my back.

"Just going to be a little sore, no bruises though," Sky says, relieved that I won't get seriously hurt from the fall. I feel her head land on my right shoulder.

"I am really sorry cub," I hear Sky breath through my shirt as she moves to my neck.

"Hey, hey, it's okay. It's practice, injuries are supposed to happen," I laugh aloud trying to make Sky feel better.

As the two hour mark passed on training, Sky gathered the group up to do a cool down run and some stretches. As soon as everyone left to probably go shower, I headed back to the mansion with Sky.

I definitely need a shower.

"Hey babe, can I use your shower?," I ask as we head up to the alpha floor.

"Of course. Right there," Sky pointed at a white door next to the small living room. I grabbed my old clothes from last night and pulled them into the bathroom with me. I turned the shower on and grabbed some of Sky's shower materials, luckily she and I have the same type of hair. I quickly washed off the thick layer of sweat that had entrapped my skin in the last two hours and as I got out of the shower, I felt so much better.

I walked down the hall, back into Sky's room, and looked around the room for my phone.

"Hey, have you seen my phone?," I ask Sky worriedly. "I haven't seen it since yesterday. Did I leave it outside or at home?," I mutter to myself as Sky walks over to her desk and throws me something.

"Here. When I brought you to bed last night, you dropped it out of your bag," Sky told me.

"Oh, thanks. ..... Um, I hate to say this, but my mom has been wondering about me, and she texted me that she wanted me home to do chores and homework. I am so sorry but I have to go," I say as I pack up my stuff around me.

"Hey cub, no worries. Let me walk you back home," Sky grabs her shoes to put on and her jacket. I grab my shoes and join her as she heads downstairs. We walk back in a nice, calm silence, as we enjoy the midday sun shining on our hair from above.

"What do you want for your birthday?," Sky asks out of nowhere as we walk.

"To be honest, I have not really thought about it. Maybe some jewelry, or some new clothes, maybe a new art notebook. I do not know," I sigh as I turn to face Sky.

"What about you?," I ask.

"I want us to take the next step," Sky blurts out as she turns to look at me.

"On my birthday, when I become the Alpha and take the throne. I want you....to be right there with me....as my luna," Sky says as she stops before me. I stand there shocked out of my mind as Sky takes my hands with hers.

"Just think about it, please," Sky begs me. I look up at her.

"But, I - I'm not ready, I don't know how to be a Luna. I'm not even done with high school," I reply back to her.

"You are graduating in half a year, and you already know a lot, but you could still borrow some books, and you will make a great Luna, I know it," Sky smiles back at me warmly. I couldn't help but give in to her.

"Okay, I will think about it," I say as I continue to start walking again. Sky runs back up to me all cheerfully now. In another few minutes, we see the outline of my house and as we reach up to my back porch, I smile and turn around.

"See you Monday, kay?," I say as I give Sky goodbye kiss.

"But that's two days," Sky whines as she takes another kiss from me.

"Oh, is Sky upset," I mock her as I walk backwards towards my door. "Byeeeee," I add.

"Bye cub," Sky blows me a kiss and she runs back to her house.

Damn werewolf speed.
