Shivaay opened his eyes when he felt the sunrays on his face. Anika was beside him. He didn't fail to notice the contenment on her face, and that in turn gave him a feeling of immense satisfaction. Getting out of the bed, he went to the bathroom to freshen up. After 15 minutes, when he stepped out of the bathroom and got ready in his usual formals, he saw Anika with a coffee mug in her hand.
" How come you are at home today this morning ? Didn't you go to office? Oh my god ! Did you forget about your office? No no, but how can that be ? You didn't even have coffee, what is up with you, Shivaay? ", babbled Anika continuously, without even giving Shivaay a chance to talk. Putting a stop to Anika's non stop chatter Shivaay finally got a chance to speak, " Annika, I do have an important meeting today, but it is a little late. And I have already prepared for it. So got up a little late today. I have been super busy for the past few weeks and haven't been able to give you enough time, so I thought that we will atleast have my morning coffee and your Chai together before you rush to work. And I thought maybe I will also prepare breakfast with Omru. Haven't been able to give them much time as well. But maybe you are in too much hurry. You don't seem interested in spending some time with me. But yeah, don't complain afterwards that I don't give time to you. ". Shivaay said the last part with sarcasm that obviously Annika did not miss. Giving a light chuckle at her husband's drama, she went to the kitchen and ordered a servant to bring her a cup of tea in her room.
After about 10 minutes, Shivaay and Annika found themselves talking about random things and laughing heartily. Why couldn't these mornings come everyday, was Annika's thought. They were interuppted by the ring of her phone. That was a signal that it was time for her to leave for office. She looked at Shivaay and he nodded giving her a smile. Getting up, she took all her things and pecking a goodbye kiss on Shivaay's forehead, she left the room.
In the hall, she met Omru and wished them goodbye. Seeing her in such a happy mood early in the morning, Om and Rudra couldn't help but ask her the reason for her happiness. Her reply gave them a slight surprise. " Oh, that, it's just Shivaay. We had our morning drink together. Meaning, I had my chai and he had his kaali coffee. You both go. He is still in his room. He has some time before he leaves for office. I ll take your leave now. I have to rush to work. Meet you both in the evening. Bye! "
Once she was out, both of them literally ran towards Shivaay's room. He was still drinking his coffee and reading something intently on his phone with his black glasses perched on his grey eyes. Sensing some hurried movements near him, he looked up only to see his two younger brothers panting. Taking his glasses off, he made them sit on the sofa and offered them water. Once they emptied their glasses, he spoke, "Why did you guys run till here? I was anyways going to come down after finishing my coffee. Just look at both of you. Did you guys forget to exercise today that you thought that a run till my room would be good cardio? Come on, answer me. I am waiting."
" Shivaay, it's nothing like that. We just got a bit excited to hear that you are home today morning. It's been long since we have spent some time together. So we thought why not today since you have a meeting a bit late, isn't it Rudra ? "
" Yes Bhaiya. Anyway you hardly get any time. And you also have to devote your time to Bhabhi. She deserves it. But we also have some right on you. Come on, today the Obros will make breakfast. "
" Don't be melodramatic Ru. I know I am busy these days so even I had thought we could prepare breakfast today for everyone. So come, let's head to the kitchen. It's already been late and I have to leave once the breakfast is done. ", said Shivaay and all three of them went towards the kitchen. While Shivaay was a bit relaxed, his two brothers were excited about the prospect of spending some time with their brother.

Shivaay took out the eggs and started making the batter for the omlettes while Om and Rudra focused on the bread and fruits. Rudra was overly happy and that was noticed by both his brothers. They both gave each other a knowing smile. The reason of his happiness was very obvious. He was going to have something prepared by his brothers after long. Shivaay was preparing the omlettes when his phone rang. It was on silent and hence Shivaay did not hear the ringtone as he was busy in cooking. Rudra saw it and kept the phone near the sink so as not divert Shivaay's attention towards the device. Only when Shivaay went to wash some more eggs near the sink, did he see his phone lying there. Not just that, he also saw almost 15 missed calls from his secretary Mishra. He immediately called him back only to hear Mishra's desperate and tensed voice. He was informed that the meeting had been rescheduled and also there was a major problem in the clauses. Cutting the call and leaving everything at hand, he grabbed his blazer and rushed out of the house without even saying anything to his brothers who were utterly surprised by his sudden departure. They didn't need any special knowledge to know that work called him but he could have atleast acknowledged their presence in the room before just dispersing like that. Both of them felt bad and somewhere the thought that their brother was ignoring and neglecting them had crept into their minds, unknowingly. But they both shrugged off that thought. He was Shivaay, their Shivaay. He could do nothing like this.

In his car, Shivaay's mind was occupied with the meeting. Only when Khanna reminded him of his coffee, he remembered about Omru. Thinking that they must be having breakfast, he messaged them saying that the call and the meeting was very urgent and the problem was serious. He will try to come back home early and have dinner and hot chocolate with them. Both the brothers saw the message. They didn't like that firstly he left abruptly and on the top of it is sending a message rather than calling. Letting the matter go for now, they both went for their respective works. Om to his gallery and Rudra to his gym.

The day was just as hectic for Shivaay as it was as any other day. Same went for Anika. She had recently got the contract and was deep into her work, getting no opportunity throughout the day to even message Shivaay. Upon not getting a message from him, she got to know that he was more busy than her maybe given his important meeting. On the other hand, Shivaay was having a hard time correcting and rectifying the presentation for making it more suitable for the client. The client had made changes at the last minute and as as much as he hates that, he couldn't help as right now Oberoi Industries were in the dire need of resurrecting their image in the business world. He was successful in that to a very great extent but today's client was a very important one and that is why he was here working on the presentation himself rather than giving it to any other employee. It was finally time for the meeting and though nervous, at the end of it he was happy that the meeting went well and the clients were ready to sign a deal with them. It would be a big boost for the company. He still had a lot of things to do. Leaving the conference room, he headed towards his cabin signalling Mishra to come with some important files. Mishra understood it was doing to be a busy day.
The day passed and Annika finally looked up to see the sun slowly setting leaving its last rays in the sky coloring it red and orange. She was done with her work. She thought that she will reach home early today and spend some time with the family. Picking up her bag and phone, she made her way out of the cabin to her car.
Shivaay was still very busy in his work when his phone rang. The screen flashed the name "Anni" with a heart emoji beside. He immediately picked up the call and got a bit relaxed when he heard her voice from the other end.
"Shivaay, I am reaching your office in about 10 minutes, we shall go home together. I have a bit of shopping to do and you come with me, please? "
" Anni, I am still busy. But you come. You may have to wait for some time before I finish my work. Only then we can go. Is it okay with you? "
"Absolutely Shivaay, I have no problem. Meet you soon. Love you"
"Love you too. "
In a few minutes, Annika's car entered into the huge building that was Oberoi Industries. Making her way out of the car, she entered the building and entered the lift to go to Shivaay's cabin. She finally reached the topmost floor and greeting the receptionist went towards the door that so proudly read " Shivaay Singh Oberoi, CEO, Oberoi Group " She was so proud of him. She entered without knocking and she saw Shivaay with his black glasses on holding a file in one hand, his phone on his ear and a pen in his other hand. Practically shouting loudly on someone on his phone, he kept it down only to see her giving him a smile. He understood the meaning of the smile and he reciprocated it and asked her to sit and ordered Mishra to give her tea and some snacks while he got back to his file. After almost half an hour, he looked up and saw her roaming in his cabin and minutely observing everything. At this moment, she was looking at his awards cabinet. She was feeling proud, he could tell from her facial expressions. He kept his file and glasses down and went towards her and backhugged her keeping his chin on her shoulder. Feeling his touch she relaxed herself and said, " Shivaay, this cabinet of yours is so beautiful. There are so many awards. I am so proud of you.
"Thank you very much wifey, there are still many more to come. Your husband is the best businessesman in the country."
"Praising yourself is not a good sign husband. If others praise you, only then you can call yourself the best. And yeah, I know that now you will throw in front of me today's newspaper which will have another picture of yours to prove your point. I get it. No need to show me any newspaper or business magazine. I don't know about best businessesman but you surely are the best husband "
"Okay okay, I understand. You didn't get too bored, right ? Sorry, actually it was a very important file. I hope you didn't mind the delay"
"Ofcourse not Shivaay. I understand. Anyways for half and hour, I was just looking at you. You really look handsome in those black glasses. Why don't you wear them at home? "
" Handsome huh, that I am. But maybe you forgot two words more. Hot and Sexy. And to answer your question, those are my reading glasses. I only use them in office to read the officials documents and deal papers. I can't afford to miss any detail. Anyways, it's getting late. Shall we leave. Your shopping is left na. I have finished all of my work for today."
"Yeah, let's go. "
Both of them left. Annika's shopping exhausted Shivaay more though he enjoyed spending time with her. It was almost dinnertime when they both reached home and in the hall itself they were greeted with the over enthusiastic faces of On and Rudy. And only when he saw them he remembered about his promise. Annika was a bit confused and Shivaay slowly whispered in her ears about the happenings that transpired after she went clearing her confusion. As much as he wanted to spend time with them, he knew he was hell tired and all he needed right now was a good cup of coffee and a nice chat with Annika. But he didn't want to disappoint his brothers as well. He just couldn't decide what to do. Sensing the turmoil in his mind, Annika took it upon herself to resolve the situation.
She knew that Shivaay wasn't in the space to work anymore and cooking would mean him exerting himself. Giving a reassuring look to Shivaay, she turned to Omru and said, "Omru, Shivaay is really exhausted. He was tensed about the meeting in the morning and was busy with his work throughout the day. And now we just came back from shopping. Even if he comes to cook with you guys, he would not be able to put heart and mind into it and it would spoil the time you guys spend unnecessarily. assure you that tomorrow he will surely fulfill his promise. Don't worry okay. " Saying so, she smiled at Shivaay, hugged Omru and went towards their room to freshen up and to prepare kaali coffee for Shivaay.
"Yeah, I am really sorry Omru. I really want to spend time with you but today both me and Annika are tired. We need some time to relax. And I am sure both of you also must be busy throughout the day right? You guys also relax. Have a cup of coffee. Or let's do one thing. Why don't we drink coffee together. We can spend some time that way, what say? "
"No Shivaay let it be. You really must be tired. It's okay. We will cook tomorrow. Right now, you go and freshen up. Meet you at dinner okay. It's almost time. " Rudra too nodded his head at Om's statement giving his approval.
"Thank you so much for understanding Omru. I love you so much. I am so sorry to let you down. I am trying but I am not able to spend time with you. I don't like it but I sincerely have no alternative. Work demands my attention and also now that Annika has started working, we aren't able to spend time together either. I am just too occupied right now. Anyways, all that aside, meet you dinnertime."
Giving his brothers a light hug and a smile, he too departed towards his room leaving both of them in the hall. Om and Rudy did assure Shivaay that they understood but the question was, was it okay to have adjusted. Did Shivaay not want to spend time with them anymore? Was his work taking up all of his time? Or were they also busy that even they couldn't give each other time? Why was Shivaay behaving like that? He used to work long hours before as well, what was going wrong this time? Were they losing importance in their brother's life? All these questions literally drove both of them crazy. But they reassured themselves yet again that this was a sensitive time for the company. The company had suffered a lot in the past few months and Shivaay was the only one who had the capability to handle all of this mess. Inspite of all this, they couldn't help but allow the seed of insecurity deep into their minds. Were they really losing each other? As much as they hated thinking this, was it true or not ?
