Cali's POV
" Ok, everything's perfect." I said as I looked at the romantic candlelit dinner I had set up.
Today was me and Bezel's anniversary, and I wanted to do something special for him. So, I went all out. I cook a 3 course meal all by myself. I'm talking appetizers, main dish, and a dessert. I even went as far as printing out a menu for us. Rose petals and balloons everywhere. I had roses, and candles leading up the staircase for after dinner.
I looked down at my watch realizing it's almost 9:30, " Shit, I need to go get dressed!"
I ran to our room, and started getting dressed. I already had my outfit laid out on the bed. Once I was dressed, I went into the bathroom making sure my hair and makeup ok, and went back downstairs.
I posted my pictures that I took with my ring light, on Instagram while I waited for him to come in.

I closed outta Instagram, and locked my phone. I sat down at the table excitedly. As I patiently waiting on Bezel to come home. 30 minutes went by. Then, an hour went by, and 2 hours went by.
" Cali, he's 2 hours late just take yo dumbass to bed. You look stupid sitting hea waiting on him." I said out loud to myself.
I got up, and started clearing my now empty plate off the table, I heard the door open. I looked up, and it was Bezel just now walking in the door.
" Damn baby, you look good. What's all this fa?" Bezel asked as he sat his keys down looking around at the place.
" So not only are you late, but you forgot it's our 8th month anniversary too. Wow..." I said shaking my head.
He sighed, and rubbed his hands down his face, " Shit! Dat's today? I'm sorry baby. I was so wrapped up in work, dat it slipped my mind."
I walked right past him going into the kitchen without saying anything to him. He grabbed my arm, but I pulled away from him.
" Caliana, I'm sorry. You know I've been working, and I wouldn't purposely forget nun like this."
" Work. Work. Work! That's all I fucking hear about now ever since you've taken over fa Julio. I'm tired of it! You don't make it home fa dinner anymore. Hell you're barely hea, and whenever you do come home it's always late cause you're always at dat damn warehouse! You're neva hea!" I yelled as I threw the plate into the sink breaking it.
" How you expect me to run a drug empire, and be home up under you all the time? You yo self know dat's impossible. Son, you act like I'm outchea doing shit ian got no business doing. You know where I'm at, you know who I'm with, and you know what I'm doing. Whenever you call or text I'm always responding right then and there." He said as if that's makes it ok.
" Fuck texting and calling. I wanna be in your presence. If I wanted a fucking pen pal I would've just gotten one. Hell, I'm not saying I expect you to be home with me all the time, but damn Brayden they need you at the trap every single day? I'm saying make me a priority! Hell, make US a priority! Don't make me feel like our relationship is holding you back or it's a burden on you!"
" You nor our relationship isn't a burden on me, and you are a priority to me. Look, baby I know shit's different, and you're not use to it. When I was only running Houston and New Orleans, I could spend as much time as I wanted with you. But I'ma do better, ok? Now come on let's enjoy the dinner you made."
" That's ok. I already ate, so I'ma head to bed."
" Baby. Come on."
" I'm good." I said.
" Caliana—" Before he could finish I cut him off.
" Yo gift on the table. Happy Anniversary Bezel. Goodnight." I said disappointedly as I walked off heading upstairs.
With everything that's been going on between me and Bezel, I was hoping that tonight would get us back on track. But instead it just made things worse between us.
Bezel's POV
I can't believe I really forgot about our anniversary. Everything Caliana said is true. I have been working a lot, and coming home less. It's just running this whole empire requires me to be gone a lot. I walked over to the table, and seen the whole meal she cooked, and it looked good as fuck. But I grabbed the box that had a red bow on it, I opened it and it was a watch.
Not just any watch, but an all gold plain jane AP. It wasn't too flashy or over the top which is exactly my style when it come to jewelry.
" Damn, I really fucked up. Fuck!" I said rubbing my hands over my face.
I walked upstairs to our room to find Caliana changing outta her dress. I walked up behind her wrapping my arm around her waist kissing her neck.
" I'm sorry. Let me make it up to you baby."
She pushed me out the away, " Move, Bezel. Dick don't fix everything."
She put her bonnet on, and walked over to the bed getting under the covers with her back facing me.
I sighed, " Caliana, I'm sorry. It won't happen again. I'ma make it up to you. Ight? I promise."
" I think you should sleep in one of the guest rooms tonight Brayden."
Her calling me by my real name let's me know I messed up bad, and she mad at me fa real.
" Ight, just let me grab some clothes so I can take a shower." I said as I went into the closet.
I grabbed everything that I needed, and walked back towards the door.
" Once again, I really am sorry. Goodnight baby." I sighed as I walked out closing the door behind me.
I gotta fix this cause I feel bad as fuck. Ion want Caliana to be mad at me like this. Hell, I'ma make it up to ha fa sho. Cause ian use to ha acting like this towards me. But I understand why, so ian tripping.
