[ leila appears on the screen as well as kalynn in the background. ]
"hello!" leila starts, kalynn becoming aware of the camera. kalynn looks up, waving softly at the camera.
smiling, leila continues. "today, we are going to be practicing for the second nerf war," she informs.
kalynn nods. "yes, we need to beat weston and harrison-"
leila nods determinedly. "they deserve it."
agreeing, kalynn looks at the camera. "they're ego's are getting too big."
tilting the camera up higher, leila states. "we are going to put them in their rightful place."
[ the camera cuts out. ]
[ next, another clip of kalynn and leila appears. they look to be outside, where the first nerf war took place. ]
[ in the corner of the screen is another camera, which is set up to look at a paper target of weston and harrison. ]
[ when you look closer, the viewers see the targets are full size weston and harrison, with reds dots on their heads. ]
[ kalynn and leila look pretty proud of these targets. ]
kalynn looks at the camera that is aimed at her and leila. the camera gives them a side view of the girls.
kalynn laughs as leila struggles to load her nerf gun. "we're going to shoot and hope for the best."
leila nodded along absentmindedly, busy shoving foam bullets in her gun. "yeah- like a shot in the dark," she hummed.
glancing up, kalynn reiterates. "like a shot in the dark, except it's bright out." she shields her eyes from the sun.
following kalynn's lead, leila looks up, squinting at the sun. "oh yeah."
[ the camera cuts out. ]
[ another clip of kalynn and leila starts. they're in the same position as they were before. ]
[ leila is on the far side of the camera, with her bright pink nerf gun in hand. ]
[ kalynn, however, is slightly positioned behind her, closer to the camera. she grips her dark green nerf gun. ]
"when do we shoot?" kalynn questions leila, holding out her nerf gun in front of her.
eyes widening, leila looks back at her. "i was waiting for you to shoot," she holds her gun out uselessly.
laughing shortly, kalynn asks again. "on three?"
leila huffed. "oof, i'm getting déjà vu- yeah, on three." she agrees, arms getting higher as she holds the nerf gun at ready.
kalynn glances at her as they both count in unison.
when they both get to three, they shoot.
from the target cam, the viewers see leila's bullet hit weston's chest whereas kalynn hits just on harrison's ear.
"that was pretty accurate."
[ the camera cuts out again. ]
"how are you doing that?" kalynn looked at leila, eyebrows furrowed as she watched the girl shoot with both guns, having tried that a moment earlier.
as leila shot off another round from each gun, she turned back to kalynn and grinned. "pure talent."
kalynn looked at the camera, raising a sceptical eyebrow.
leila, seeing this, smiled sheepishly. "fine. i watched a youtube tutorial."
[ the camera cuts to another clip of them. ]
[ kalynn is shooting her own gun, frowning in concentration. ]
"i think you're getting better." leila compliments when kalynn hits target weston directly between the eyes.
kalynn grinned widely, glancing at the camera. "why thank you," she responds pridefully.
[ the camera cuts out. ]
[ the yard looks to be empty, until the viewers see kalynn roll into view, standing up quickly and shoot directly at the camera. ]
[ as the camera crashes to the ground, leila is heard in the background.
"kalynn!" she scolds, though her laughter defeats the point. ]
[ it cuts to a clip of kalynn and leila, both back in their previous positions. ]
"can you do a somersault?" kalynn asks.
leila shakes her head. "god, no. it's freaking scary."
kalynn tilts her head with a side smile. "c'mon. it'd be so cool though."
sighing heavily, leila looks over at the camera with her face scrunched up. gazing back at kalynn, she speaks. "fine, if i'll look cool," she jokes.
kalynn cheers, raising her arms.
[ the camera cuts to a clip of leila, face against the camera. ]
"guys, if this goes wrong, blame kalynn." she whispers.
[ the camera cuts out. ]
"you just have to lean forward-" kalynn instructs.
the viewers see leila, crouching with little balance, shaking her head. she tries leaning forward, planting her hands firmly on the ground, only to shake her head harder.
"kalynn- help. kalynn. help. oh my god-" leila tries to do as kalynn had previously instructed, only to throw herself back onto the ground.
"i can't do it." leila pouts at kalynn, who laughs.
kalynn shakes her head. "yes, you can. believe in yourself!" kalynn tells her, before compromising. "fine, i'll help."
[ the camera cuts to a different clip of leila with kalynn beside her. ]
[ we see kalynn has a hand on leila's back, the other girl crouching over the ground. ]
"now you just have to lean forward and roll." kalynn explains. she adds on, "make sure to keep your head tucked in."
leila looks over to her. "kalynn, i'm scared."
kalynn stifles a chuckle, nodding. "i know. but i'm here," she says. "it's not going to hurt."
looking back to the ground, leila frowns. "ok, lets do this."
leila slowly leans forward, kalynn guiding her as she rolls over, tucking her chin in to her stomach.
applause start in the background as leila falls back onto her butt, completing the somersault.
leila gasps, looking back to kalynn. "kalynn! i did it!" she exclaims.
matching the energy, kalynn grins back at her. "that was very cool," she referenced earlier, only to perk up more. "now you can do the gun thing!"
leila repeats her, running to grab her hot pink nerf gun in excitement. "now i can do the rolly gun thing!"
[ the camera cuts out. ]
[ the next clip is one of leila doing kalynn's earlier trick, doing a somersault with the nerf gun, shooting just beside the camera when she sits up. ]
[ the camera shakes as leila celebrates, standing up. ]
[ we hear kalynn clap enthusiastically before she comes into view, high-fiving leila. ]
[ the video ends, the clip being replaced with a baby pink screen, displaying leila and kalynn's socials in white text. ]
