Lizzie tightens her arm around Hope's waist and nuzzles her face closer into her chest, trying to get closer to her temporarily dead girlfriend.
Her sister is sat next to her with her hand on her leg whilst she holds a gentle conversation with her own girlfriend, Penelope. Whenever she hears Lizzie let out a small whimper, she gently rubs her sisters leg until the whimpering stops.
"Joey?" Lizzie's voice wavers from not speaking in almost 24 hours.
"Yeah, Princess?" Josie asks softly and directs her attention to her grieving sister.
"W-What if she doesn't wake up?" Lizzie asks in fear.
"She will, Liz, you just have to give her time. She'll be back. She's Hope Mikaelson, she's the strongest person I know. Besides, she wouldn't dare leave you behind." Josie reassures.
Lizzie sniffs and a few tears wet Hope's shirt as she nuzzles her face to her chest. She presses a kiss to Hope's cheek before excusing herself to go to the bathroom.
"Joey?" Penelope asks with an confused frown.
Josie smiles. "When we were kids, Lizzie couldn't pronounce 'Josie', so she used call me 'Joey'. It's stuck after all these years." She explains.
"That's so cute." Penelope coos.
Josie sighs and looks down at Hope, not being able to imagine the pain get sister is in right now. Penelope frowns softly and grabs Josie's hand.
"She's going to be okay, baby." Penelope tells her.
"I know, I just...don't ever leave me, ok?" Josie asks seriously.
"You can't get rid of me, Jojo-"
"I'm being serious, Pen. I don't think I would survive without you." Josie's lip trembles at the thought.
Penelope frowns and cups Josie's cheeks. "I will never leave you, Josie. I'm yours, forever. Always and in all ways."
Josie swallows thickly and kisses her lovingly, resting her forehead against Penelope's.
"I love you, Jojo." Penelope whispers.
"I love you too, Babygirl." Josie replies, softly smirking at the blush she gets in return. She knows that name is Penelope's weakness.
They pull away from each other when the bathroom door opens and Lizzie walks back over to the bed, climbing back into Hope's arms after kissing her cheek.
"You doing okay, Liz?" Penelope asks. The blonde shrugs. "Can I get you anything?"
"A knife." Lizzie mumbles.
Josie and Penelope frown.
"A knife?" Penelope asks slowly which makes Lizzie nod. "O-Ok."
She kisses Josie's cheek before leaving to get what Lizzie requested.
"Why do you want a knife, Lizzie bear?" Josie asks.
"For when she wakes up, so I can feed her." Lizzie replies.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Josie asks concernedly, knowing of the Mikaelson's history of blood lust.
"Yes." Is all Lizzie says. She has 100 percent faith and trust in Hope.
Nothing changes for the next half an hour, Josie and Penelope continue to talk whilst Lizzie lays wordlessly against Hope's body, praying for her to wake up.
It's only when Lizzie feels arms weakly wrap around her body that she can breathe again.
"Oh god, I was so scared you wouldn't wake up." Lizzie breaths heavily, fear lacing her words.
"I'm not leaving you yet, love." Hope reassures and kisses her forehead.
Lizzie sits up and helps Hope sit up as well.
"How are you feeling?" Josie asks.
"Like my neck got snapped by an eight foot tall walking fish." Hope replies playfully which makes Penelope and Josie chuckle.
"Can you guys give us a minute?" Lizzie asks softly.
"Sure." Josie smiles and kisses Lizzie's head before leaving with Penelope.
"Is there anything you want to do before you feed?" Lizzie asks.
"Yeah. I want to kiss you." Hope says before pulling Lizzie in for a passionate kiss. It lasts a few minutes, their hands gently caress each other's bodies until Hope pulls away weakly.
"Wow." Lizzie mumbles, her head spinning.
Hope smirks weakly. "That good, huh? You should see what else I can do with my mouth."
Lizzie giggles and pushes her shoulder.
"Come on, let's go get a blood bag." Hope says and goes to get up but Lizzie stops her.
"No, let me do it." She says.
"You want to get the blood bag? Ok, if it means that much to you-"
"No, baby, I want you to feed from me. And I know before you say, you don't trust yourself and you think it's a horrible idea, blah, blah, blah-"
"Ok." Hope says.
"See, I knew you would disagree with me- wait. Did you say 'ok'?" Lizzie asks with a frown.
"Yes. I now you're strong enough to stop me if I get out of hand. I trust you and I know you trust me." Hope reassures.
Lizzie smiles and kisses her again before grabbing the knife Penelope got her earlier.
"I won't ask why you have a knife." Hope chuckles.
Lizzie grins innocently and rolls her sleeve up.
"Is that my sweater?" Hope asks with a raised eyebrow.
"No." Lizzie giggles mischievously.
Hope smiles, looking at Lizzie with all the love she can muster.
"Your heart-puppy eyes are so adorable." Lizzie coos and kisses her girlfriends cheek.
"I love you so much, Lizzie." Hope whispers. "I never thought I wound love someone as much as I love you."
"I love you too, Angel eyes." Lizzie smiles. "What's bought all this on?"
"When I saw my Mom on the other side, she told me to have at least one epic in my life...and now that technically my life is over, it just makes me so grateful to have you in my life." Hope explains with teary eyes.
"Baby, your life isn't over. Maybe your human life is, but your life, it's only just begun." Lizzie tells her. "And I am so thankful that you've let me be apart of your life."
They share a loving smile before Hope lets out a small wince.
"You okay?" Lizzie asks.
"It's just my head." Hope brushes off.
Lizzie picks the knife back up and makes a deep cut in her wrist, hissing at the sting. The blood pools on her wrist and Hope's eyes widen at the sight, the thing she's craving sitting right in front of her.
"Here, baby. Drink." Lizzie demands softly and holds her wrist up.
Hope swallows thickly and meets Lizzie's eyes nervously.
"It's okay, I trust you." Lizzie reassures.
Hope nods slightly and takes a few calming breaths before delicately picking up Lizzie wrist and bringing it up to her mouth. She presses a small kiss to her palm, and then continuing a path of light kisses up to her wrist until she reaches her blood.
"Always and forever." Hope whispers before sucking the blood into her mouth.
She whimpers and the foreign taste invading her mouth, bitter but at the same time sweet and Hope can't help but want more of it. But before that thought can cross her mind, a shooting pain appears in her gums which makes her pull away. She groans and opens her mouth as her vampire fangs forcefully push through her gums. She feels the black veins tingle up her cheeks and the familiar feeling of her eyes flashing gold.
Lizzie states in amazement and fascination. Hope has always been beautiful, but seeing her like this makes Lizzie see her in a whole new light.
"Wow." Lizzie whispers breathlessly, taking in the sight of her fully-activated-Tribrid girlfriend. "You're so beautiful, Hope Mikaelson."
Hope blushes. Just as she feels her teeth start to retract, she gets a whiff of the blood and they immediately push through again. She looks down at Lizzie's wrist with wide eyes.
"Go on, baby, have some more." Lizzie encourages.
Hope, not one to deny her girlfriends wishes, leans down and bites, gently, into Lizzie's wrist. Lizzie finds it uncomfortable and damn right painful at first, but the more Hope feeds, the more tolerable it gets.
It's only after a minute or so that Lizzie gently tugs holes mouth off of her wrist. The tribrid pulls away with a gasp, two streaks of blood dribbling down her chin.
"How are you feeling?" Lizzie asks after doing a healing spell on her wrist.
"Energetic. You?" Hope replies.
"Aroused." Lizzie says which makes her girlfriend look up at her in surprise.
"Really?" Hope asks. "Fuck, I can smell it now. Jesus, you're soaked." She gasps.
Lizzie bites her lip to suppress her whimper.
"I think we should test out my new super speed, babe." Hope quips suggestively.
Lizzie doesn't hesitate to throw herself onto her girlfriend.

It's been a few weeks since Hope turned, she's pretty much got the hang of it now. She still has some troubles with feeding but Lizzie is helping her with it. Speaking of Lizzie, the witch has become extremely paranoid ever since the turn. She hates it when she's not around Hope, she hates not knowing where she is or what she's doing- she isn't be controlling or possessive, she's just extremely anxious. It's safe to to say she's got separation anxiety to Hope now.
Hope knows, she went to the doctors with Lizzie to see if there's any pills that can help her calm down. They have her some, but as always, Lizzie has a hard time taking them. Taking pills makes her feel crazy and she hates that more than anything.
The pills don't do much, they help her through the night but that's about it. So you can imagine how Lizzie felt when Hope had to go away for a few days on a mission, one that her Dad and Hope both demanded the twins stay home for.
"Darling, you need to let me go." Hope mumbles, her face squished from where she's pressed tightly against Lizzie's chest.
"No." She whimpers and clutches her tighter. "Don't go."
"I have to, baby, I gotta save the world." Hope jokes half heartedly, but seeing her girlfriend like this breaks her heart. "I'll be safe and I'll text you and call you as much as I can. I'll be back before you know it."
Lizzie cries and shakes her head. "Please stay."
"Baby, I really gotta go now." Hope frowns sadly and tries to pull away from Lizzie's vice grip.
"No. Please." She begs, panicking.
Hope helplessly looks over to Josie and Penelope.
"Come on, Liz, let her go." Josie says and walks over to them, tugging her sister away from Hope.
"I love you." Hope says softly and leans up to kiss Lizzie goodbye.
"I love you too." She sobs.
Hope turns to Penelope with her Mikaelson glare. "If a single hair gets plucked from my girls head, I'll be coming for you, Park."
"Don't worry, I'll look after her." Penelope reassures, trying not to let Hope see that she's actually shitting herself. Anyone would be if they were on the receiving end of a Mikaelson glare.
Hope cups Lizzie's cheeks and wipes her tears away. "I'll be back soon, Babygirl. I love you."
"Love you too." She whimpers, her body shaking.
Hope gives her a soft smile before grabbing her bag and rushing out of the room.
Lizzie's breathing increases and she shies away from Josie's arms, stumbling back. Josie immediately summons an ice pack and grabs Lizzie's favourite blanket before rushing over to her. She's been through many of Lizzie anxiety attacks and knows exactly what to do to calm her down.
Josie pulls Lizzie into her arms and sinks them both to the floor, trying to help her sister breathe as she gasps for air. Penelope frowns in concern, feeling helpless.
"Breathe, Lizzie." Josie coos and puts the ice pack against her throat, something about the coldness on her throat always calms Lizzie down.
"Can't breathe-" Lizzie gasps, her nails clawing at the floorboards and her lungs tighten painfully. "Josie!" She sobs fearfully, feeling herself become light headed.
"Shh, it's okay, Princess, I'm right here." Josie reassures and wraps Lizzie up in her blanket, the smell of both herself and Hope immediately hitting Lizzie.
She pulls Lizzie against her chest, one hand holding her close and the other holding the ice pack firmly against her throat.
"Listen to my heart, sweetie. Follow my breathing." Josie instructs and breathes deeply, getting her sister to do the same.
"Jojo, I-" Penelope cuts herself off with a frown. She hates feeling helpless.
"Get her some water, Pen." Josie demands softly.
As Penelope rushes off to get some water, Josie finally gets Lizzie to calm down.
"That's it. Good girl. Just follow my breathing." The brunette coos.
"Hope." Lizzie whimpers.
"She'll be back before you know it." Josie assures and kisses her head. "Come on, let's get you into bed."
Josie stands up, pulling Lizzie with her who's knees wobble and give out under her, but luckily Josie is quick to catch her and hoist her into her arms.
"I've got you." The selfless sister soothes and walks over to Lizzie's bed, laying Lizzie down before joining her.
Josie spoons her from behind, keeping her close to her body whilst whispering sweet nothings into her ear.
"Jo?" Lizzie asks fearfully.
"I'm here, Liz." Josie coos and rubs circles on her hip.
Lizzie calms down and leans back against Josie.
Penelope runs back into the room hurriedly, hitting the doorway as she does. She jumps onto the bed with the bottle of water.
"Here...water...Lizzie...can't breathe!" Penelope exclaims through trying to catch her breath.
"Pen, baby, calm down." Josie giggles and strokes her girlfriends leg. "She's okay now."
Penelope slumps against the bed, her best heaving.
"I body slammed MG out of my way for this bottle of water, you know?" Penelope huffs.
Lizzie sniffs and puts her head on Penelope's shoulder which makes her tense up.
"Thank you." She whispers and shuts her eyes.
"Oh- uh...that's okay." Penelope reassures and awkwardly pats her arm.
Josie rolls her eyes. "Just hold her, Pen, she won't bite."
Penelope smiles nervously and wraps her arms around the blonde. She has a hard time fighting the smile when Lizzie nuzzles her face into her neck and mumbles a soft 'thank you'.
"Anytime, blondie." She smiles slightly.
Josie smiles widely. "You too do like each other!"
Lizzie and Penelope both groan. Lizzie turns around and cuddles into Josie's chest and Penelope storms into the bathroom, mumbling something about cooties.
Josie chuckles softly and kisses Lizzie's head.
"I love you, Lizzie bear." She says.
"I love you too, Josie bear." Lizzie replies tiredly, basically asleep in her sisters arms.
Josie and Penelope know it's going to be a long few days, but at the end of the day, they both know they would do anything for the blonde girl.
