I was once again shook awake by lily Evans

" haydennn" she sung
" HAYDEN. Merlin's beard girl. Get up it's Saturday. We're going to breakfast " she said as she saw me slowly begin to open my eyes
" you know I really feel like punching you" I said rolling my eyes
I stood up onto my feet and went to my drawers. I pulled out a Pink Floyd black hoodie and put a red and black flannel over it. I slipped on a pair of black ripped jeans and pulled out my makeup bag.
I walked with lily out the door and made our way to the common room to meet up with Alice and Marlene.
The girls were all there and we headed out the portrait. As we began walking to the great hall lily spoke up.
" Hayden I swear to Merlin if you sit by Remus and not by me I'm going to hex you into oblivion" she threatened
" woah okay scary lily. You got it" I smiled at her.
We walked into the great hall and took out spots. And as promised I sat by lily and smiled at Remus and mouthed " sorry" to him but he shook it off.
Dumbledore came through the doors with a blonde girl about my age but she looked very Familiar. As she scanned her eyes over the great hall her eyes met mine. My eyes went wide and I smiled so big my face hurt, she smiled big too. I know who that is.
I kept out of my seat and she started running towards me as did it.
" KES!" I screamed
" HAYDEN" she said running into me with open arms hitting me so fast we both fell down.
We both got up and engulfed each other in a hug. I could feel all eyes on us, but at that moment I didn't care. I didn't care one bit. My best friend from 2021 was here.
Wait- but why?
" kes I love you but why are you here?" I asked
" I mean do you know?" I asked again.
" yes hayden I know. I saw that time machine thingy on the floor of your bedroom and you know me being me I touched it here I am." She replied with a shrug
" you didn't bring it back with you did you?" I asked to which she shook her head no to.
" so Dumbledore has told you everything?" I asked
" yes hayden." She rolled her eyes
" everything." She said with a smile.
" I've missed you so much" i said bringing her into another hug.
I pulled away wiping the tears from my eyes
" well go on. Go get sorted dumbass. Let's hope you get in Gryffindor" i joked. She hit the back of my head and her and Dumbledore went up to the sorting hat.
I walked back to my seat, and they all stared at me.
" what?" I asked
" who is that?" James asked
" my best fucking friend Jamesie boy. My best friend" I said with a smile
" I thought I was your best friend" Siruis frowned.
" you are, but she's my platonic soulmate Siri. We've been best friends for eight whole years. I haven't seen her for awhile, but I missed her so much" I smiled.
Minnie placed the sorting hat on keslynn's head and it was say something. To low for me to hear though.
But it suddenly shouted " GRYFFINDOR". A erupt of loud cheers came from our table. Mine being the loudest though😫. I slid out from my seat and ran up to her.
" welcome to Gryffindor kes." I smiled. I put my hand out for her to take and she did. I walked down with her to our table, and I gestured for lily to scoot over.
I sat down beside lily with keslynn next to me.
" guys this is keslynn" I said gesturing to her.
" hi" they all said in sync with smiles.
" kes this is lily Evans" I pointed to lily and she waved.
" beside lily is Marlene McKinnon" I pointed to Marlene.
" and beside Marlene and Alice" I pointed to Alice and she gave a smile to keslynn.
" this idiot infront of me is Siruis black" i looked over at her to see her reaction.
" he's hot." She whispered into my ear.
" yeah tell me about it" I whispered back.
" to Siruis's left you have James potter"I pointed to James and he winked at her cause it's James fucking potter😐
" to the right of Siruis is Remus lupin" I pointed at him and smiled.
" pleasure." He stuck his hand out to her which she took.
" Hayden omg Remus is hot" she whispered into my ear with wide eyes.
" stay off my man marie" I stated using her middle name.
" and beside Remus is Peter pettigrew" Peter just gave a small smile. Pete's a little shy.
" Peter as is the spy Peter?" She whispered.
" I hate to say it but he's not actually bad. He's quite nice" I shrugged.
" right well, hello everyone nice to meet you" she smiled addressing the seven teens.
" anyways kes are we rockin w the fit" I asked gesturing to my outfit.
" ofc you look hot" she added pretending to gawk. I playfully rolled my eyes and nudged
" how about we go hangout in the common room" James suggested.
"No. The girls and I are going to the courtyard." She implied
" Awh. Lily flower but-"
She cut him off" nope. Let's go girls" she said getting up from the table.
I grabbed keslynn's hand and drug her with me. We finally got to the courtyard and everyone sat down.
" alright so keslynn. Hi. I'm lily" she smiled at her
" hi I'm keslynn you can call me kes." She smiled back.
She turned back to Marlene and Alice and started talking to them.
Kes turned to me " alright so tell me everything that happened with Remus"
" well, right before Christmas break we kissed, and when he got back I told him that we would have to talk about it a some point and he agreed. Long story short I asked him on a date and he said he'd think about it, and now I'm just waiting" I smiled thinking back to the kiss.
" huh. Well lucky you" she smiled
" I know right" I chuckled
" Hayden you look like a lovesick teenager what the hell has this boy done to you" she asked in disbelief
" Jesus Christ kes I have no idea." I shrugged
" well atleast there's some hope for the two of us" she smiled
" yeah but what if dumbledick finds a way to get us back?" I asked
" I mean I wouldn't mind staying here. In all honesty I don't want to leave." I sighed.
" me either. I know I've only been here for 2 hours but I don't want to either hayden" she let out a hushed breath
" let's just enjoy it while we can" I smiled at her
" sounds good to me" she smiled back.

We all finally decided talking for 6 hours was enough so we are heading back to the common room as of right now to talk to the boys.
" Maybe we should Eveasdrop see if they say anything" Marlene suggested
" oh my god. Yes" I smiled excitedly.
So we all moved a few steps back and continued to listen.
" I feel like this is the year. Lily won't see as some bloke ya know?" James asked
" yeah right prongs" Remus said sarcastically
I put a hand over my mouth to cover up my laughter.
" don't act like you don't know what it's like to like a girl moony. I see how you look at Hayden" he said in a - matter-of -fact tone
Now I'm intrigued.
" I have no idea what you're talking about. She's just another girl." He stated coldly.
" that's bullshit moony and you know it. I sit right behind you in potions. I heard the whole conversation between you and her the other day" Siruis added.
" I lied. I didn't wanna make her feel bad." Remus stated.
I moved my hand from my mouth and stepped out to where the boys could see me. I felt my eyes sting up with tears and looked at the boy Infront of me not saying a word.
" you little pi-" I stopped kes.
" no. Kes it's fine. Atleast now i know how he really feels." I stated before running up the stairs before I could completely break down.
I let out a deep breath and allowed the tears to softly fall down my face freely.
I stuffed my face into my pillow and let myself, I cried.
I cried for as long as I thought was appropriate for this situation.
I pulled my body out of my body and unlocked the door. I made my way to the common room and stood into of 8 teenagers.
" you girls can come in now. I'm done having a break down." I smiled.
" so you're okay?" Siruis asked
" it's whatever honestly. I'll get over it eventually." I said tiredly.
" kes you can sleep in my bed tonight and I'll sleep down here" I smiled at her.
" no. I'm not letting you sleep down here" she shook her head.
"Kes. It's okay honestly. We can switch every night, and plus I sleep better down here anyways" I smiled
" alright. Go to sleep everyone. We have a long day tomorrow." I said rubbing my face.
" what do you mean?" James asked me
" weren't you gonna show me and kes how to ride a broom?" I asked him
" oh yeah that's right! You'll be able to ride a broom in no time" he smiled
I looked over at kes who was already surpressing a laugh and as soon as our eyes met we bursted out into laughter.
They all looked at us confused untill a wave of realization flooded James's face. He looked at us in disbelief
" I didn't mean it like that you gits!" He defended
" still funny" I managed to choke out.
He rolled his eyes at us and placed his hands on his hips impatiently waiting for us to get done.
I stopped laughing enough to pick myself up from the floor and stand infront of him.
" you know I love you right?" I asked him laughing
" yeah whatever. Goodnight hayden." He said rolling his eyes making his way up the stairs.
Everyone went up the stairs to the dorms and I grabbed a blanket and lied down on the couch.
As soon as my head hit the pillow I fell asleep.
I missed kes.
