How had he known? I was almost certain they wouldn't have known. Does that mean the man died for no reason? And how did Kyle get a knife? He must have gotten it when he attacked Black ski mask.
I looked at Kyle and the same confusion and fear that was on his face must have mirrored mine.
Black ski mask saw our little exchange. "C'mon, you really thought I wouldn't know? I left that knife on the ground on purpose, and you thought I wouldn't feel if a knife disappeared off my body?" He let out a low chuckle. "I'm not stupid."
I couldn't stop my mouth from falling open. We really did underestimate these people.
Black ski mask grabbed one of the chairs and turned it around to face us, and then sat down. "So who's dying?" When we didn't move or do anything, he held his gun up and looked at the black watch that was on his wrist. "You guys have fifteen minutes to kill two of you, if you don't, then I will shoot each and every one of you. Oh, and don't worry, I have enough bullets to kill you all." Black ski mask sat back and rested his gun on his knee. "Tick tock, tick tock."
I looked down unable to think. Josh would have been an easy choice, but Emma's here, and she had no idea what he had done to me. He was still her brother.
I would have suggested to just kill myself, but how the fuck am I supposed to save the little boy, if I'm dead? FUCK!
I also can't just murder the other boy. He won. He should be getting out of this mess with us. My mind started spinning and I could feel a headache forming. The time was ticking.
This was all giving me Saw vibes, but what the fuck did we do that was so terrible? The people who were put in Saw traps had done despicable things.
"Hazel, who are we killing?" Kyle had pulled out the knife that was hidden a moment before.
"I don't know." I looked at each and everyone of them. My eyes landed on Josh, he didn't look afraid at all. In fact he looked at me almost mockingly, he even had a tiny smirk.
I lied when I said 'I don't know', the obvious choice was Josh. But we needed to also kill one other person.
I looked over at Emma. "Emma, Josh did some terrible things. He also... touched me." I was about to continue, but she just nodded her head. After hearing what I said her eyes hardened and was filled with rage.
One of her other friends had been raped and murdered. They had found her body in one of the dumpsters outside a restaurant.
"Ten minutes left." Black ski mask said, with a huge smile on his face. He was enjoying this way too much.
Emma nodded her head again. "Kill him."
Kyle had scooted forward so he could see both of us, still knife in hand. "But what about the other person? We need to kill two people."
"Just kill me."
I looked over to the boy who had spoken. The one I was going to get to sacrifice himself.
"This is ridiculous." I exclaimed to Black ski mask. "We all won. You said it yourself, if we won you would let us all go." I glared at Black ski mask.
He didn't do anything, he just looked at his watch and said. "Times running out."
I continued to glare at him while I took the knife out of my back pocket.
Kyle then leaned close to me, to whisper something in my ear. "We kill them and get out to save the little boy. I'll get Josh, you get the other person. Alright? This will be over soon."
Kyle got up and walked over to the person he was going to kill. I took a deep breath before getting up and following suit. Black ski mask was going to get me to kill an innocent person.
"Five minutes left."
