"y/n, y/n wake-up."
you woke up with nudging and voices.
"hmm?"
"childe is here y/n. he's here to pick you up. sorry that i woke you up" beidou apologized. "he forced me to."
"wow beidou, 'forcing' is a bit stronger. i just suggested."
beidou stared at childe.
"okay, fine. i did force her to." childe looked at your tired state. "you can sleep in the car, but we've gotta go."
"can beidou come too?" beidou looked over at you.
"oh, uh. i've got some things to do.."
"oh come on beidou. please, you gotta have a break too."
"yeah, what they said." childe nodding in agreement.
"i mean- i can go, if i'm no bother." beidou tried to hide her excitement on going out.
"come on, it's a far drive. 3 hours on the road with this piece of deliciousness."
"you know what beidou, how about a private trip. without him?"
"that sounds amazing. i'd love to." she smiled over at you.
"now what the hell is this? betrayal, i think so." childe put his hand over his chest. "thought you were bestie, now you're just pesky." you and beidou chuckled over his sarcasm.

childe was in the front seat, setting another playlist. while you were tiredly staying awake. road trips always made you tired, especially when childe is draining your energy even more.
beidou trying to calm childe down, since he was driving.
"come on girlie, who said you can jam while driving?"
"it isn't safe to jam while driving if you're taking your hands off the wheel.." beidou responded back to the ed sheeran looking guy.
"iconic how you're listening to ed sheeran" you finally talked after almost 3 hours of driving.
"how so y/n?" beidou asked, childe already aware of what's gonna happen.
"cause he looks like him." chuckling to yourself, you see childe pulling over. "oh? are we here already?"
"yup, you were asleep for pretty much all of the ride" beidou responded.
"oh, beidou i'm so sorry i left you to fend for yourself." beidou chuckled.
"woke up and chose violence, eh?" childe said while opening the door for you. "no remorse, no mercy."
"nope." you put away the blanket you took with you that beidou gave you.
you've been quite comfortable around beidou. people always categorized you as polite and quiet when around new people. however, you have grown comfortable with beidou, very quickly. you were fine with that.
"here we are! my favourite spot in the world." childe sniffed the fresh air.
"doesn't smell like car gas and cigarettes." you remarked while sniffing the air as well.
"that's what i like about this place, but it's beautiful isn't it."
"it is" you and beidou agreed.
"oh isn't this the place you talk about, a cat café or something?"
"yup, you wanna visit there? this town is quite small. so everything to explore is close to each other."

having the idea to get some brunch first, before doing the rest tasks, you walk into a cute restaurant. the workers immediately greeting your group as you walked in.
"childe! i haven't seen you in a while, how have you been."
childe and the kind woman kept on talking as beidou and you took a seat at a booth. searching the menu for something that caught your eye. everything caught your eye.
"have you decided y/n?" beidou looked over the menu.
"heh, nope. everything looks so good at this point, maybe it's because i'm starving." beidou chuckles putting down the menu.
it took a while for you to pick, but you ended up picking a nice breakfast and a sweet drink to go along with it.
"chocolate milk?" childe came over, listening to the final words of your order you told the waitress.
"yup, what about it?"
childe put his hands up, taking a seat beside you. "just sayin', don't worry kid"
'kid?!'
beidou chuckles while childe is still teasing you.

"i'm gonna combust~"
"woah, y/n! relax buddy." getting this kind of remark with normal for someone who has childe as a friend. you were grateful though.
" no- not like that you freak."
"hey y/n." beidou called for you. walking over to her you saw the cute little pet shop.
"kitties! oh my god, i'm gonna cry." having a dog, people thought you were a dog person. but, no, you were not. you happen to like both, not being able to pick over a favourite animal.
"why don't you get one?"
"what?! i can't spend money just like that childe."
"but the sign. see look, 'free cats'." looking over to the sign, it does say 'free cats'. confused you still walked in. a sweet old lady greeting you.
"excuse me ma'am. are these cats really free?" beidou's voice could be faintly heard from the counter.
" oh my god, oh my god! childe look! a ragdoll kitty. look it!" dragging childe to the aisle that had a little cat roaming around. the cat walking over to you, taking a sniff of your hand, then rubbing against you.
"the older cats are free, the kittens are about $100-$300 depending on species." the lady responded to beidou. walking over in our direction. "we leave them roaming around the shop, they like it this way."
"that one is free sweetie, with all the shots it was needed as a kitten. just not sprayed." the old lady smiled at you, clearly noticing your interest in the cat. the cat's interest also directed towards you.
"he seems to like you quite a lot, ragdolls are known to be friendly and welcoming but this one is more off on her one."
"that means something right?" you chuckle to yourself.
"it sure does, do you want her?"
"do you mind if i think about it for a bit?" still petting the cat.

your dog was an old family dog, so she isn't normally at your house that often. a cat seems to like the purfect (haha im so funny bestie) addition to your lonely apartment.
"i'll take her"
"my, my. that was quick" the lady chuckled as she got the paperwork out. then you got the help of beidou and childe to help you pick out things for your new furry friend.
later after you bought everything, beidou decided to get one as well. feeling lonely in her big apartment as well.
