I am NOT going to include all the sequels--- just the good outfit ones, and the non-disney stuff I'll try to group together.
Jasmine's Wedding dress: 8/10
I don't love the shoulder-spike-thing, the double-collar. But the rest of it is absolutely gorgeous. It's unique, and elegant, and the flowers in her hair---so pretty. Love it.
Belle's Christmas Gown: 9.9/10
God I love this dress. There's just something... off. About it? I'm not sure. That little stripe at the bottom of the yellow underskirt thing bugs me. Maybe. But it is BEAUTIFUL. It's simple, and so Belle, and a beautiful color, and I love the roses still on her, and god why can't this dress be real.
Pocahontas' England Ballgown: 7.5/10
I'm so biased. SO biased. Pocahontas was and always will be my favorite Disney woman. But anyway, it's a beautiful, creamy-ish color, yellow-ish, and I love that skirt!! But those cap sleeve thingies, and that TRAIN ON THE BACK, BLEGH. But Pocahontas rocks it. And I do love her necklace, too.
The style in The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea: 8/10
I love how everything reflects their mermaid heritage. The dresses remind me of shells, and of coral colors, and they're so pretty yet simple yet so freaking gorgeous. Again, I don't LOVE puffy sleeves, especially short sleeves, but whatever.
Style in Cinderella 2: Dreams Come True: 9/10
The yellow dresses SLAYED in this film. They manage to compliment both Cinderella and Anastasia quite well. I love the frills on both, and puffy sleeves for once work quite well!! The blue-green is my favorite. I love how simple-soft-pretty it is. Anastasia's purple gown isn't my favorite, but it does bring out a sweet side in her that her other dress didn't allow.
Mulan's Wedding dress and the Princesse's dresses: 7.3/10
I really like the princesses' dresses. They all look different, for each princess, while looking elegant and simple and pretty. Mulan's wedding dress is beautiful. I love the color scheme, and the dark pink over-thingie, and I even like the headdress thingie. It reminds me of Elizabeth's Calypso outfit.
Cinderella's Do-over Wedding Gown: 9.9/10
I LOVE this gown. It's absolutely one of my favorites ever. It's beautiful, I love the collar, how it shows her shoulders and how the sleeves go down. I love the poufy skirt, the double-layer, and the crown and veil on her head. The only thing I don't like is those tiny bows on the skirt. Blegh.
Aurora's Magic Dress: 7/10
Why do yellow dresses look so good??? The only thing that docked it was those god-awful sleeves. But the rest of it is a really pretty color, and design!
The Pixie Hollow Fairies: 6.5/10
I really love everyone's outfits but Tink's. It just looks like it's going to burst off of her! But everyone else's are really cute. I love that Fawn is wearing pants, and Rosetta's dress looks so elegant, and Silvermist's dress looks ready to float off of her, and Iridessa's looks so pretty on her, with her hair too. Tink's really is bad though.
Pixie Hollow's Fairies in Fall: 7.2/10
Now it's switched---Tink's is my favorite!!! She looks like a mini (female) Peter Pan!! But honestly I love all of them again, I just feel like they could've been a tad more creative other than just giving them long sleeves.
Pixie Hollow Fairies in Summer: 7.7/10
I really love these outfits. Tink's is so cute, I love the blades of grass as her shirt and the double layer on her skirt. Fawns is SO CUTE, I love the color, and that she's barefoot, and she has those cute shorts!!! Even now, she's keeping PANTS!!! (I'm looking at you, Neverbeast). Silvermist's is such a bright color, and that splash of yellow just *chef's kiss* and those SHOES look at the SHOES. Rosetta's and Iridessa's aren't as great as the others, but I still love them. Iridessa's I like the black stripe on her skirt.
Pixie Hollow's Fairies in Winter: 7.5/10
Just because you put fuzz on leaves doesn't make them warm. They would FREEZE WITHIN SECONDS if these outfits were made in real life. But they are pretty cute. I love Silvermist's earwarmer, and Fawn's leg warmers. But I don't understand how Tink can wear the same jacket over her wings and then suddenly able to use them again.
(But God when I say this movie was my childhood---THIS MOVIE WAS MY CHILDHOOD. I have a twin, so Peri and Tink was like the epitome of myself and my sister when I was younger. We loved it. And it was SUCH A GOOD MOVIE, TOO!!!! WHEN TINK'S WING BROKE---GOD WHY CAN'T FILMS BE LIKE THIS ANYMORE?!?)
Pixie Hollow Fairies as Pirates: 8/10
LOOK HOW BADASS THEY ALL ARE!!! IT'S CORNY AND IT'S STUPID BUT IT WAS THE COOLEST THING EVER WHEN I WAS A KID OKAY!?!?! I love how they all switched Talents, and they all switched outfits up too!!! the only one I'm angry about is Rosetta, because she became an Animal Talent, but didn't get the outfit change. Her skirt just turned orange. :C
Zarina, however. GIRL. HOW??? She looks so good!!!! I love the hair, and I love the boots, and I LOVE the corset and the Esmeralda-sleeve-shoulder-top thingie. She makes such a good Captain! Until, ya know... she doesn't. But whatever. I LOVE THEIR SWORDS, TOO!!!!!!! GAH!!! ALL THE SWORDS HAVE SUCH ATTENTION TO DETAIL, AND WE ONLY SEE THEM FOR LIKE TWO SECONDS!!! THEY'VE ALL GOT SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE PERSON HOLDING THEM AND I CANNOT GET OVER HOW MUCH I LOVE THESE OUTFITS SOMEONE STOP ME
Fawn's Zhooshed-up Fawn: 0/10
Okay FINE: 7/10
NON-BIASED: I really like this outfit. It shows her as an animal fairy, with the feathers as the skirt, and I love the wraparound top, and the cute boots. It's a good outfit!
BUT. Biased:
Fawn was my favorite Pixie Hollow Fairy growing up, and they DESTROYED HER. Maybe I'm being a bit dramatic... but what happened to her cute braid?? What happened to her pants?? Why is she wearing a flimsy little outfit instead of one she can play around in, get dirty in?? HOW IS THAT CHUNKY BRAID-TWIST PONYTAIL STAYING UP WHEN NOTHING IS SECURING IT?!?!?!?!?! WHY DID YOU RUIN MY FAVORITE CHARACTER!!?!??!?!?
Anastasia Romanov: 10/10
GOD I love this film. But the animation is just *chef's kiss again*. All of them SPARKLE, and they look so regal, and I love it all gaaaaah I wish she wore the "Once Upon a December" dress longer than like 30 seconds!!! It's gorgeous. AND THE CORONATION ONE---AAAAAH it's beautiful!! And I've looked at pictures of the real Anastasia---that coronation gown looks similar to real Russian gowns worn by the royal family. And the crown does, too.
Maria Posada's dress: 5/10
I do like it. It just doesn't have as much flair as I want. It's a little bland for Maria's spitfire character. Also I'm just not a fan of that waist, or her itty-bitty little FEET. And I also dislike that her wedding down is literally this dress dyed white.
Odette's Green-and-White Gown: 7/10
I really like this gown. Not quite top-level, but pretty! I like the triple-layer sleeves, and the long belt, and the color scheme. This movie just... ugh. It's not a good movie, and this dress is like it's ONE saving grace.
Kayley's Hiking outfit and Induction/Wedding/thing? (I haven't seen the movie in a while, I don't remember): 9/10
I really love this movie. I saw it again a few months ago for the first time since I was in third grade, and I fell in love with it all over again. Kayley is spunky, and fun, and doesn't let anyone stand in her way. I love how her outfit reflects that. The normal one shows her wearing a full-body covering thing, the blue thing, with the long-enough shirt over it. For the time it's set in, it's wonderful that she wasn't in a dress until the end of the film. And that dress at the end... ugh I love it. Off-the-shoulder dresses are some of my favorites, and Kayley looks very regal in it. I don't love that she wore a dress, after having protested it so vehemently earlier in the film, but it's too beautiful a dress to ignore.
Fiona in all four films because I'm running out of picture space: 7/10
Fiona has some serious style. I like her dress best in movie 3, then 2, then 1, then 4. But I love all of it. They're short enough that she can fight, but stylish. And she manages to balance those tiny tiaras on her head too!!
Astrid Hofferson in all three movies: 8.5/10
Good. GOD. I've never seen a side-by-side comparison of Astrid from the first movie and the last. Animation has come such a long way. But anyway, I LOVE Astrid so much. I like her outfit best in HTTYD2, with the braid? I wish her outfit didn't stay kind the same, at least the skirt, but I do love the wraparound top best. And the ARMOR??? God that was smart. I love it. It's amazing.
