Key's POV
Feeling around next to me I realized Tiara wasn't next to me in the bed anymore, so I got up. I went down the hallway getting ready to look in AK's room to see if he was up yet, but I heard Tiara talking to him in the living room.
" Come on stink you can do it. Just walk towards me." Tiara said making stand up on his own trying to get him to walk.
I instantly picked my son up from where he was standing as a frown quickly took over my face.
" Bruh, what the fuck is wrong withchu?"
" Why would you do that?" She asked with a frown on her face as well.
" No, why would you do that! Why would you get him to try to walk when you know what typa situation Cali in?" I said in disbelief.
" Baby, I was just trying to teach him how to stand on his own. I didn't mean any harm by it."
I shook my head as I walked to put AK in his playpen fence that had all his toys, balls, and a slide in it. I walked passed her, and walked to the kitchen.
" Tiara, you can teach him anything else, and I wouldn't care. Hell, teach him how to count or some shit."
" I don't get what's the problem. He's already pulling himself up on stuff, and standing up on his own. He bound to walk sooner or later. I'm sure Cali wouldn't mind." She said as she followed behind me right on my tail.
" Before Cali had a wreck she was teaching him how to walk, and he haven't did it yet. So, why would you even take it upon yo self to do that? That shit insensitive as fuck."
" You're literally doing the most right now. It's not that big of a deal." Tiara said trying to wave me off.
" If I ask you not to do some Tiara, then just don't do it. What I say bout AK goes cause that's my seed. If you gone be with me you gotta learn how to respect the way me and Cali choose to raise him. Simple as that. Cause you overstepping yo boundaries right now." I said truthfully.
" I know your his dad, and I never once said anything negative about the way y'all raising him. I took the time off to help you. I've been helping like a girlfriend suppose to do. I'm helping you take care of him while Caliana in the hospital right now, but I'm overstepping my boundaries now. Wow." Tiara scoffed as she rolled her eyes.
I looked at Tiara like she was crazy, " Hell you insisted on coming down here. Ian ask you to come down here. Cause I know how to take care of my son by myself. Yeen neva gave him a bath before, yeen neva been up during the nights when he was sick, you ain't neva been to a doctor's appointment. You ain't neva put a dollar in his trust fund. Hell, you ain't neva bought my son formula, clothes, diapers, wipes, a toy, or nun. So, chill out on all that shit talking bout you help me take care of him. Only people who can say they help us is our family and friends. And hell that's whenever they feel like it, cause me and Cali do a damn great job without help from anybody. And I'm not finna argue withchu in front of my son, so either dead the shit or you can leave." I said shrugging my shoulders.
" You know I didn't mean it like that. You and Caliana are great parents, and I can never take that from y'all. I'm just saying I'm doing this outta the kindness of my heart, and because of how much I care about you. In no way shape or form, am I trying to throw it in your face. I just want you to realize I'm here to help because I genuinely do care. So, I apologize, if you took what I said the wrong way. I meant no harm by it. But you're right, let's not argue in front of him." She said sincerely.
I was over the whole situation honestly.
" I hear you Tiara." I said dryly.
" I was finna start cooking breakfast, but I didn't know if y'all feed AK table food or not." Tiara said trying to change the mood.
" Yeah, I'll just feed him off of my plate."
" No, I'll make him his own plate. I'ma make mini pancakes, eggs, and I'll cut up some fruits for him."
" Preciate it."
I went over to AK doing our morning routine while letting Tiara do what she do. 30 minutes later, I walked into the kitchen as Tiara cooked. I walked over to her, and hugged her from the back.
" I could've asked you to not teach AK how to walk in a better way than I did, and that's my bad. I'm just stressed, and I should've never took it out on you. So, I apologize." I said as I still held her.
" I'm sorry too. I should've asked if it was ok first." Tiara said.
I kissed her jaw, and went down to her neck.
" Stop it, we ain't doing nothing with yo son right in the next room." She laughed.
" I know dat. I can't kiss on you tho?" I asked as I continued to kiss her.
" No, cause you gone have me hot and bothered. Now, move." She said as she pushed me away from her.
I smacked her ass before I walked out of the kitchen. I seen AK was finishing his last learning game. When he finished I took his iPad from his, and let him do whatever he wanted. He was sitting in the middle of the floor when Tiara walked in with two plates in her hand.
" Here's his and here's yours. Or do you want me to feed him?" She asked as she handed me the plate.
" Nah, I got it. AK come eat." I said.
" Oh my God, babe look! Look!" Tiara squealed which caused me to look up.
AK was standing up. He stood still until his balance was on point before he took 4 steps towards me. Then, he fell back down and crawled the rest of the way towards me.
" Yay A'Kyrie! You took you're first steps. You're such a big boy." Tiara said as she clapped excitedly.
" Dat's what I'm talking bout my boy. Next time, let me know when you finna do some shit like dat tho. So, I can record it fa ya momma." I said as I kissed his jaw.
" Ok, seriously let's eat before the food gets cold tho." Tiara said.
I went back and sat on the couch. Me and Tiara had a conversation about how work was going for her as I fed AK and myself. Once we finished eating, she took our plates back to the kitchen. My phone started ringing, as I looked down I noticed it was Trey. I picked up the phone quickly answering it.
" Wassup bruh?" I said as the call connected.
" Say whatchu got going?" He said.
" Not shit. Just chilling with AK and Tiara."
" I need you to ride somewhere with me right quick."
" Where? Cause honestly, I wasn't planning on going nowhere today." I said truthfully.
" Hell me either, but you remember dat nigga Cali introduced us to at AK party? Da nigga just hit me up asking can I meet up with him."
I frowned my face, " Fa what?"
" All the bitch said was it had some to do with Cali, so you going or nah?" He asked.
" Yeah, I'ma finna come over there." I said as I stood up holding my phone to my ear.
" I can watch him for you while you gone." Tiara said referring to AK.
I acted like ian hear ha, " You said Ari gone keep him and Tremani while we gone? Ight bet dat."
" Yeah, you know my cuzzin would beat da piss outcha, if you leave AK with ha. You know better." Trey said laughing.
" Shut da fuck up nigga. Give me like 30 minutes. Bye foo." I laughed as I hung up.
" Where y'all going?" Tiara asked.
" We got some business to handle. I'll be back in an hour or two m." I said as I picked up AK, and walked back into his room grabbing his shoes, coat, and baby bag.
" What kind of business?" She asked not to far from behind me.
" The kind you handle." I said not answering her question.
That kept her from asking anymore questions cause she walked ha ass off after that. I finished getting me and AK ready before I headed out the door.
Trey's POV
When I got a DM from dude, I thought it was weird cause nigga I don't know you. But he said it had to do with Cali, so I'ma slide. But ian no fucking fool, I know not to go by myself which is why I brought my gun and told Key to come with me.
" So where we suppose to be meeting this nigga at?" Key asked as I drove to the address.
" In the park across the police station. We should be there in bout 5 minutes." I said.
He nodded his head. 5 minutes later, we pulled up before I got out car I made sure to scope out the scene.
" We ain't staying no more than 10 minutes." I said as I had my hand on the door handle.
" Fasho." Key said.
We both got out the car, and started walking towards the picnic table this nigga was sitting at. He tried to shake our hands, but we just sat down without shaking his hand.
" Preciate y'all fa coming. I'm sorry to hear bout Cali." He said as he sat back down.
" Yeah, let's skip the fake shit. And get straight to da point. What we here fa?" Key asked.
I just nodded my head agreeing with Key cause ian with it.
" I know Cali boyfriend Bezel." He said.
" Ex boyfriend, but how you know him?" I asked.
" He use to be my plug." He said.
" And? Da fuck that gotta do with Cali?" Key asked.
" El Chapo let Bezel take over, and Bezel met El Chapo through Cali. When he took over the nigga I was working with name Ralo wasn't ok with that. He wanted to run our whole zone by himself, but he couldn't cause of Bezel. Bezel found out Ralo was trying to push up on Cali, and he wasn't fucking with it. And he told Ralo he won't front us no mo. Bezel told us we could still sell in our hood just on the street we grew up on, but Ralo still didn't listen. So, bezel came and beat his ass in front of the whole hood, and told him he couldn't sell at all now."
" Once again, what da fuck dat gotta do with my cuzzin?" I asked not giving a fuck about nan nigga he talking bout.
" I'm getting there. Since we couldn't sell we was all broke and struggling, which is how I met Cali. Ralo made an anonymous call to the police, so they could raid Bezel's warehouse. Which made Bezel stash bags full of cocaine in ha club. Then, we stole em from her club."
" So y'all da niggas who burned it down? Bitch, if we wasn't in a park full of folks. I would've beat da fuck outta you." I gritted through my teeth.
" I would've shot you. Straight up." Key said nonchalantly.
" Hear me out! Had I known Ralo was planning on burning ha club down. I would've neva agreed to the shit, and that's on my daughter. I only agreed to steal the drugs cause I thought we was just getting back at Bezel. Bezel was the one who took money outta our pockets, and food out our folks mouths. So, my issue was with him not ha. He was the one we all had a problem with. At least, that's what I thought." He said.
" Fuck you mean by that?" Me and Key asked at the same time.
" With Ralo, it's more to it. It's like he hate Cali too fa some reason." He said.
" Show me a picture of dis nigga." I said.
Ty pulled his phone out, and showed a picture of Ralo. I grabbed the phone, and looked. I shook my head as I passed it to Key.
" Dat's the nigga who came into the section trying to give her a gift for making the cover of Forbes."
" We both was there dat night, and ian never seen this nigga. So, how you see him?" Key asked as he slide the phone back to Ty.
" Cause you didn't stay dat whole nigga like we did. He acted like he was trying to holla at ha." I said remembering that night.
" The shit came outta nowhere. He went from wanting to date ha to wanting ha dead. One of my niggas was killed and Ralo got my brother held hostage some fucking where. So, I'm pretty sure that wreck Cali had wasn't an accident. I can bet money he had some to do with it.
" Ion know, if you know or not. But Bezel having a hard time finding this nigga. Bezel only got a couple hours left before El Chapo come out here. He already put the streets on lock down. Shit finna get crazy." Ty said.
I looked at Key and said, " Whatchu think we should do?"
" It's whatever. It's up to you bruh." Key shrugged.
I nodded my head, " Sound like every m'fer dats involved finna get what the fuck they deserve. So, who are we to intervene dat? I think we should mind our business on this one Key."
" Yeah, this sound like a personal problem to me bruh." Key said agreeing with me.
" Preciate ya fa telling us, and good luck with El Chapo. From what I hear, he don't play bout Cali, so may God and his disciples be with y'all niggas." I said as we got up leaving him left with no words.
