"Y/NN, why aren't Mommy and Mama home anymore?" You little sister, Ellie, asks as she grips your hand.
"Well, they're working really hard so they can buy you lots of nice things." You tell the seven year old.
"But they don't buy us nice things." Theo pouts confusedly as you unlock the front door to your house.
You sigh and push the door open, letting them run in. "You go put your school bags away and then you can watch a movie."
"Ok!" The twins cheer as they rush off up stairs.
"Y/N, what's going on with Mom and Mama?" Isabella asks.
"Nothing, Izzy." You reassure. "Take my card, go order yourself some food or something." You say and hand her your card.
"Thanks, Y/NN!" She grins before skipping off.
You sigh and head to the kitchen, Your Mom and Mama are business owners and they work incredibly hard, they make lots of money but they're never around. They're always at work which leaves you to do everything. You sort your siblings out and take them to school before going to school yourself, then you pick them up and take them home, you help them with their homework, you make them dinner and entertain them until the twins go to bed, then you spend time with Izzy until she goes to bed, then you do all the cleaning and then your own homework.
You parents normally get home about 11:30 and then go straight to bed.
They had you when they were only 17, you're 18 now. Then they had Isabella when they were 21. Then they had the twins Elizabeth (Ellie) and Theodore (Theo) at 28.
You don't mind looking after your siblings, but you're going to college next year and you don't want to leave knowing your Moms won't look after them. You've been saving up your whole life for college but it's Christmas in a week and you've spent a good chunk of your money buying then twins and Izzy gifts because you know your
Moms haven't, you're also going to have to buy all the food. You've spent a couple thousand already and you haven't been this pissed at your Moms before.
Your parents are millionaires and they have the money to pay for college, but you don't want to live off of their money. You want to be independent and pay for your own things, besides they don't let you have any access to
their bank cards at all.
"Y/NN! Can we have Mac and cheese for dinner?" Ellie asks as her and Theo walk into the room.
"Sure, Princess. Come on, let's go put a movie on." You say and pick her up, bopping her nose and walking to the living room.
The twins both sit on the couch whilst you put 'Lion King' on, their favourite movie. You kiss their heads and want them to be good before going to the kitchen to start on dinner.
About half an hour later, there's a knock on the door. You open it and smile at your Aunt.
"Hi, Aunt Lizzie." You greet and kiss her cheek as you step aside to let her.
"Hi, sweetheart." Lizzie coos and shuts the door. "Are you Moms home?"
"No, they're working still." You reply. "Twins, come say hi to Aunt Lizzie!" You call out.
You hear two sets of footsteps running towards you and Lizzie crouches down to engulf her niece and nephew in a warm hug.
"I've missed you, my little munchkins!" Lizzie exclaims and pepper kisses all over their flaces which makes them giggle.
Lizzie stands up and the twins go back to watch their movie just as Isabella comes down.
"Hey, sweetie." Lizzie smiles and wraps her arms around her other niece. "Y/N didn't even call you down, you must of just heard my voice and wanted to see your favourite Aunt."
"My Uber eats is here." Izzy says sheepishly which makes Lizzie scoff. The dirty blonde haired girl moves to open the door, gratefully taking the bag of food. "I'm gonna go upstairs and eat."
You clear your throat and raise an eyebrow at her. Izzy grins and kisses your cheek.
"Thanks, Y/NN." You shake your head and hold your hand out. She huffs and takes your card out of her pocket and hands it to you.
You glare at her and she giggles before running up stairs. Lizzie frowns confusedly.
"Last time I forgot to ask for my card back, she bought herself a Gucci bag." You explain and walk into the kitchen, your Aunt following you.
Lizzie snorts out a laugh. "Did you let her keep it?"
"No. It was 1000 dollars." You chuckle. "Do you want a drink?" You ask.
"Water please, sweetie." Lizzie replies and sits on one of the stools at the island in the middle of the kitchen.
You grab a bottle of water and pass it to her to which she thanks you for it. Lizzie studies you as you work around the kitchen to make the food, she can see how exhausted you are and it makes her frown.
"So, have your Moms got all the Christmas presents yet?" Lizzie asks.
You tense up, wanting to tell her everything but you know you can't. "Uh yeah, they have."
"Y/N, are you alright?" Lizzie asks softly. "You look exhausted."
"I'm fine." You dismiss and smile at her. Lizzie sighs and walks over to you, pulling you into her arms.
"No you're not. Tell me what's wrong." Lizzie soothes and strokes your hair.
"I'm just tired." You tell her, which isn't exactly a lie but it's not the truth.
"Y/N, I suffered with my mental health all through high school, if you're feeling down you can always talk to me." Lizzie says softly.
You sniff away your tears and hug her back, soaking in the comfort she brings you. Lizzie frowns sadly and tightens her hold on you, kissing your head.
"I'm not sad, I'm just stressed." You admit. "Mom and Mama aren't around much and schools really hard at the moment, and they're just not here for me. I know we're on Christmas break now, but I still haven't heard back from any colleges yet and I'm trying to look after the twins and Izzy as well, but I can't."
"Baby, you're going to get into college you just have to keep positive. You work so hard and any college will be lucky to have you. And as for your Moms, I'll talk to them, ok? Why don't you go up stairs for a nap? I'll sort the twins dinner out." Lizzie tells you.
"But-"
"Not buts. You need sleep." Lizzie says sternly which makes you sigh.
"Ok." You agree, too tired to fight with her.
"Thanks, Aunt Lizzie."
"Anytime, sweetheart." She smiles and kisses your forehead.
You make your way upstairs and collapse in your bed, falling asleep instantly.

"Go on, up to bed." You tell Izzy who pouts at you. "It's 11pm, it's past you bed time, Iz, go."
"Fine. Good night, Y/NN." Izzy says and hugs you.
"Night, Babygirl, I'll see you in the morning." You smile at her before she trudges up the stairs.
You go into the kitchen and make sure all the vegetables you prepped for tomorrow are covered and the meat.
It's Christmas tomorrow so you decided to cut and chop all the vegetables up tonight and cook the meat so all you have to do tomorrow and a cook then then serve it up.
You wait about ten minutes before going to your walk in closet where you hid all the presents before taking them down the stairs to place under the tree. It takes you about ten minutes to bring all the presents down before you start to put them under the Christmas tree. About five minutes later, you hear the door open and your Moms voices enter the house. You roll your eyes and ignore them, putting down another gift.
"Y/N?" Your Mama frowns slightly when they see you putting gifts under the tree.
"What?" You ask coldly, placing the last one there before grabbing all the bags and moving past them to put the bags away.
"What's going on?" Your Mom asks as they follow you.
"It's Christmas Eve, what do you think I'm doing?" You snap, shutting the cupboard and turning to them.
You watch their faces flash in surprise.
"It's.. it's Christmas Eve?" Josie asks in a whisper.
"Yep." You reply. "Happy holidays."
"How did we forget?" Penelope frowns guiltily.
"Because all you two do is work." You snap. "You leave for work really early, leaving me to take your children to school. I'm the one who gets up early everyday to help the twins shower and then dress them. I'm the one that cooks for them and makes sure they have all the stuff they need. I'm the one who drives them to school. I'm the
one who picks them up. I'm the one who helps them with their homework. I'm the one who makes them dinner. I'm the one who tucks them into bed at night. I'm the one they turn to when they have a problem. I am responsible for your kids when I have a life of my own. I am stressed enough as it is this year. I'm trying to get into college but that's never my first priority because I'm always worrying if the twins ate their lunch or if Izzy remembered her homework. I'm only 18 and I'm more of a parent than either of you!" You exclaim, tears sliding down their faces.
"Baby."
"Don't. I have been saving up my whole life for college because I don't want to live off of your money, but I had to spend almost three grand this month. I bought their Christmas gifts and all the Christmas food. I have spent so much money on gas and on food throughout the month. I have bought Izzy the things she needs for school. You two forgot to buy them gifts because al you care about it your work. Ellie accidentally called me 'Mommy' the other day, because she is so used to me doing your jobs. Does that hurt? Knowing your youngest child doesn't think of you as her parents anymore? But she does to her sister?" You ask harshly.
Josie whimpers as tears flow down her cheeks. "We're so sorry, Y/N."
"I don't want your fucking apologies, what I want is for you two to be parents again. Not to me, to the twins and Izzy. They need you. I don't need you though." You snap before pushing past them up to bed.
Penelope and Josie share a sad look when they realise how selfish they have been.

"Merry Christmas!" You wake up to two bodies jumping on you.
"Merry Christmas, monkeys." You croak and hug them.
"Has Santa been, Y/NN?" Ellie asks excitedly.
You sit up and grab a couple hair bands, putting Ellie between your legs and putting her hair up.
"You'll have to see when we go down, won't you?" You ask and put her hair into space buns, smiling slightly at just how much she looks like your Mom. Brown hair. Brown eyes. Button nose. Pouty lips. Full cheeks. The only thing she got from your Mama was her tan skin.
You finish her hair before getting up and putting a sweater on.
"Go wake Mommy and Mama up." You tell them, watching their eyes light up.
"Mommy and Mama are home?!" Theo asks which makes you nod. "Come on, Ellie!"
The two giggle as they rush off. You go to your bathroom and brush your teeth before going to get Izzy, but as you walk out of your room you bump into her.
"Merry Christmas, Babygirl." You coo and hug her.
"Merry Christmas." She mumbles tiredly against your neck.
You only pull away when you hear the twins run past you to get down the stairs. Izzy turns around to see her Moms standing there with a smile, she gasps and runs into their arms happily. You smile slightly at the sight, you're happy Izzy hasn't held anything against them. Izzy grins happily as she makes her way down stairs.
"Merry Christmas-"
"Don't." You shake your head and follow Izzy down the stairs.
Josie tries to stop the tears that threaten to fall from her eyes as you walk away from them. "We're horrible parents, Pen." She whimpers.
Penelope sighs and cradles her wife to her chest, kissing her forehead. "We'll make it up to her, baby."
"How?" Josie asks.
"I'm not sure, but we will." She reassures. "Come on, clean your face and then let's go down."
Josie sniffs and pulls away from her wife, wiping her face clear of her tears. "Ok." Josie nods and takes her wife hand who then guides her down the stairs to the living room.
"Look at all the presents Santa bought us, Y/NN!" Theo exclaims and jumps into your arms.
"Well that must mean you're on his nice list." You tell him and wipe some drool off of his cheek.
Theo's green eyes light up and he giggles happily, wiggling his way out of your arms and sitting on the floor, waiting patiently to open his gifts.
"Can we open them now, Mommy? Pleaseee!" Ellie begs with puppy eyes that melts Josie's and Penelope's heart.
"Of course, Babygirl, look for the ones with your name on." Josie tells her.
The twins instantly dig through the pile of gifts to their own, passing the gifts to Izzy when they find hers. Your parents settle on the couch with Izzy whilst you sit on the love seat and watch with a happy smile as your siblings open all their gifts.
"Y/NN, there isn't any presents for you." Ellie frowns on confusion, looking up at you.
Penelope and Josie look down in guilt.
"That's because in my letter to Santa, I asked him to give you two extra gifts instead of giving me any." You tell her.
"Really?" They both ask.
"Yeah." You nod with a smile.
"Thank you, Y/NN!" They say in sync before going back to opening their gifts.
You meet Izzy's eyes who frowns in question, you smile reassuringly and brush it off. You spend the next twenty minutes watching them open all their gifts, your heart warming whenever the twins ramble about one of their presents or when Izzy smiles widely as she sees something she's wanted for ages.
After all the wrapping paper has been chucked in the bin, Izzy goes to try on her new clothes whilst the twins play with their toys.
"Y/NN, can you make up some breakfast?" Theo asks politely.
"Sure, buddy. What do you want?" You ask and run your fingers through his hair.
"Jam and toast, please." He replies.
"What about you, Ells?" You ask.
"Jam!" She exclaims. "Please." She adds.
You get up and walk into the kitchen to make them some breakfast, sighing when your hear footsteps follow you.
"Baby?" Josie calls softly. "I just want to let you know that we're only going to work four days a week from now on, we're going to leave after the twins are at school and I'll we'll home before dinner. You have spent the last months doing everything that me and your Mama should do, and that's not fair on you and we am so so sorry
for that. We've been terrible Moms and we're going to do everything we can to make this up to you and your siblings. I promise." Your Mom says.
You turn around to face her after putting the bread in the toaster. Josie frowns miserably when she sees how tired you are.
"I'm so sorry, Babygirl." Josie whispers.
"I can't forgive you yet." You tell her which makes her nod.
"I know, you take as long as you need." Josie says softly. "Can at least hug you? I think my heart might explode if I don't."
You sigh softly and walk over to her, hugging her loosely. Josie cries and holds you tightly, breathing in your scent.
"The best Christmas gift." Josie whispers, not letting you go.
You try to contain your tears. "I've missed you, Mommy."
"Oh, Babygirl, I've missed you so much more." Josie sobs.
Penelope walks into the room and sees the two of you hugging. "Can I join?" She asks which makes you let out a watery laugh. You nod and she instantly wraps her arms around you and Josie. "I'm sorry, Y/NN, we're so fucking sorry."
"We're gonna get you the best Christmas gift ever." Josie tells you.
"I don't want a present. I just want you two to be there for the twins and Izzy." You say.
"We're gonna be there for you as well, darling." Josie frowns.
"Well they need you more." You mumble.
"You're such a good girl." Penelope coos and kisses your forehead.
"You're an amazing sister, sweetie." Josie praises you which makes you blush.
"I know what you're doing and it won't work." You scold. They both laugh. Whenever you were sad when you were younger, they would baby you and it would make you feel better. "I'm too old for that now."
"I wouldn't be to sure about that, Princess. I remember a few months ago someone got sick and demanded their cuddles and for Mommy to tuck her in." Josie teases.
You huff and pout.
"How much money do we owe you, Babygirl?" Penelope asks.
"Mama-"
"Come on. How much. For everything. The gifts, the food, gas." Penelope says.
"Fine. Around four thousand." You tell them.
"Ok. You'll get it all back, sweetie, we promise." Josie says. "Why don't you go sit down? Mommy will make you a coffee and we'll sort the twins food out."
"Ok." You say and pull away from them, smiling up at them. "They like the crusts cut off and Theo likes a lot of jam and Ellie doesn't like too much."
"We've got it, Y/NN." Penelope coos.
You wipe your tears away and kiss their cheeks before going back to the living room to sit with the twins. You sit next to Izzy and let her curl into your side.
"Everything okay?" You ask her.
"Yeah. I love my presents. Thank you." She says which makes you frown. "I'm not stupid, Y/NN. I know you bought everything."
"Izzy-"
"You're the best big sister ever, Y/NN." Izzy says and hugs you tightly.
You smile and kiss her head. "I'm glad you like your gifts, Babygirl."
"Look, Y/NN! She sings!" Ellie giggles and shows you her singing doll.
"That's so cool, Ells." You reply.
The twins go back to playing until your Moms bring them their breakfast. They sit next to you and Izzy on the couch and wrap their arms around you.
"Merry Christmas, baby girls." Penelope says.
"Merry Christmas, Mommies."
