Everyone rushed to the bell tower. Including Selene and her friends. Upon their arrival, many students have gathered down the tower along with some nuns and deacons.
Selene lifted her head to see Craeian hanging on the edge of the bell tower with Quillrie holding his hand preventing him from falling to his death.
"Why isn't anyone going up there!!?" Yatch screamed to the top of her lungs.
"The tower is locked from all exits. The doors are barricaded from the inside. Nobody can get in." One of the students answered her.
Everyone are already delved into deep panic. And not very far from them, Amara laughed like a maniac seeing the scene she caused unfold just as she planned it.
Perfect.
She thought and wickedly giggled while clapping her hands in amusement.
She walked out of the scene, clearing her expression clean as if nothing bad is and about to happen.
"F**k! I swear Rie if you let go!!!" They heard Craeian yelled from the top.
And that was enough. Qaeus and Prince dashed on both available exits. They tried to kick down the doors but it was really barricaded from the inside.
Prince is in the brink of panic. He couldn't focus properly thinking that he might be too late to save his friend.
Silver tried to remain composed and looked for a way out of their problem. She scanned the entire tower and realized that a huge tree is just close to it.
They can climb on that branch. And if careful enough, they can jump the distance to the window closed to it.
"Prince! Let's climb that tree!" She said and pulled the boy with him.
Prince is the one who climbed up first. He helped the girl and lift her up to sit on the branch.
The two were careful crawling to the edge of the branch that connects to one of the tower's windows.
They had to move slow so the branch won't move hastily that might cause their fall.
Prince hopped on the window frame and helped the girl to jump in too. Once they got in...
"Go! I'll open the doors!" Silver said and they separated their ways leaving a 'be careful' words to each other.
Silver ran downstairs to open the barricaded doors while Prince ran the other way to help his friends.
But on his way up, he found Laudemer unconscious on the stairs with his forehead bleeding.
"Laudemer!!!" The boy called and immediately shook the latter's body.
"Wake up! What's wrong with you!!!" He cried not stopping to shake him.
"Quillrie!!!!!!" He heard Craeain's voice bellowing from the top.
"I'll come back for you Laudemer! I promise!" Prince said and proceeded to run to the top.
And right exactly when he arrived, Quillrie had lost his grip on the bars and was pulled down by Craeian's weight.
Prince immediately bolted to the two and grabbed Quillrie's left arm. Injuring his right leg in the process.
"Sh*t!!! Whatever you do Prince! Don't let go!" Quillrie warned trying not lose his grip on Craeian's cold hands.
"You're too heavy!" Prince cried but still did his best to not let go.
Everyone down the tower could only scream and bellow in fear. Everyone's so worried that they might lose two of their treasured council officers today.
"Prince!!!" Prince sighed in relief hearing Qaeus' voice calling him.
He anticipated for his presence to arrive as soon as possible.
But that anticipation faded when the door of the tower strangely opened slowly. When he clearly remembers that there wasn't a door there when he came.
"W-what is that?" Prince muttered.
He tried to pull Quillrie's body, and when the latter is so close to climbing up. The door suddenly flew throwing itself out of the tower.
It scared the sh*t of Prince, screaming in the process. Tears have stained his cheeks and could only wait for whatever's coming out of the doorway.
"Hey! Pull me up!" Quillrie exclaimed that snapped the boy from his trance.
He kept pulling Quillrie with a thought bothering his mind.
What's taking Silver so long to open the doors? Where are they?
Prince couldn't help but panic. But he still put that panic into good use by using all his force and frantically pulled Quillrie with all his might.
Just as when Quillrie was able to return to the top of the tower. Prince was about to help him pull Craeian up but a cold and icky hand clasped his mouth and dragged him away from the boys.
Quillrie immediately panicked when he saw the face of the thing that took his friend.
It pulled Prince to the dark doorway which is the only exit of the tower.
"Help meeee!!!" He heard Prince's cries.
But as much as he want to run and save him, he disregarded his call and pulled Craeian up.
He's already losing his remaining strength.
Craeian didn't saw what happened but he knows that Prince was taken by something he would never wish to see.
"Quillrie!!!" They heard Prince called again.
Craeian finally made it to the top of the tower which sent everyone on the ground with relief.
The two dashed to the door in attempt to help Prince.
"What the f**k!!!" Craeian screamed with terror as his gaze got fixed on the ceiling.
Quillrie looked up as well and found their friend hanging upside down. The same thing that Quillrie saw earlier is holding Prince's feet with only its left hand.
The poor kid was hanging like a bat and crying for help.
The thing looked at them wearing a devilish smirk. It's mouth drooling with blood and its eyes are glowing red as its own body blends perfectly within the darkness.
The two didn't know what to do. Nobody is there to help them.
If that entity let go of his feet, he'll fall and break his neck first.
Unless the two catch him on time. But it's a blur plan as they are on a stairway. The wooden stairs aren't strong enough to take the impact that will fall above it.
But catching him is the only way that gives a chance of his survival.
"Let him go you f**king d**k!!!" Craeian yelled throwing glares at the entity.
Black mists surrounded it and Prince and it soon devoured them both. The black mist flew all over the tower and eventually flew around the two.
Then it flew out the stairway back to the top of the tower. And there on the edge, it left the trembling body of the poor boy.
And with his simple move, he lost his balance and slipped off the tower.
Everyone down the ground saw the black mist. But they were more focused of Prince who literally took Craeian's place earlier.
And by hearing the people's bellow. Quillrie and Craeian tried to run to the top but the black mist halted them pushing them down.
Both of them was thrown aback by the powerful mist. And so they both fell down the stairs helplessly.
They only stopped when Laudemer's passed out body halted them from falling all the way down.
The two could barely feel their bodies anymore as the pain surges over.
They could hear Prince screaming from the top. He was screaming for help.
Silver have finally heard Prince's familiar voice. She tried opening all the doors but it's all chained and she couldn't find the keys no matter how much she tries.
And with all the voices screaming outside, Silver took her cue to dash to the top and apparently saw the two who could barely stood up. Including Laudemer who's passed out beside them.
Seeing the three on such state, Silver heed no more question and ran as fast as she could.
Prince should be the one to help them but the situation was reversed.
Qaeus and the girls must find their way in before they're too late. She can't afford to tell them the way in so they're gonna have to find their way.
Silver have finally reached the top to see Prince clutching on the slippery floor of the tower.
She bolted towards him and grabbed his hand. Prince was already a crying mess with fear taking full control of his body.
He thought he was going to die.
Or get killed by something he never thought he'll be forced to believe.
Meanwhile...
Qaeus have located the same entrance that Silver and Prince used. He pointed the way to the other male students who offered to help.
As soon as everyone got in, they divided into two groups. The other one ran down to open the doors while the rest went with Qaeus to the top.
The group also found the three on the stairway. As much as Qaeus wants to check his friends, he decided to leave them with the students who came with him.
Then they proceeded running upstairs where they found Silver trying to pull Prince up.
The boys helped the two and finally sent relief to everyone down the tower.
