AN: Told you I'd bring the original version.
Here's a quick little bit of background history. It was originally ironically enough, a rewrite of The Stone, or its previous title "The Evil". This rewrite was unfinished, as I "didn't want to waste paper" as quoted in the original version, which was in a Drawing Journal of mine from 6th grade.
Now do be warned, this is an old draft, so obviously there will be writing errors and grammar mistakes. PLEASE DO NOT comment on these errors as present errors, this is old.
With that said, enjoy.
The Amazing World of Gumball story: The Evil
It was a peaceful day in Elmore. Everyone was outside, playing videogames. It was nice. But, all except Gumball was enjoying it.
Instead, he had to finish an essay. All he had was 'essay'.
Then Darwin got out of his fish bowl. He yawned. "Good morning!" He exclaimed.
"Whatever." Gumball muttered.
"Still working?" Darwin asked.
"Yes. It's SOOO boring!" Gumball said.
"Well, me and Anais were going to get some ice cream. Do you wanna come?" Darwin asked.
"Uh what's today?" Gumball asked.
"Guys! You're gonna miss the bus!" Anais yelled.
They hurried to the bus.
Meanwhile, in the depths of some place, there was red and black everywhere.
"When are we going?" Zach said.
"When we're going. Besides, why do YOU want to go? Nobody likes you." Dark Gumball said.
"That's a point, but I can help you." Zach said.
"How?" Jealousy Gumball asked.
"I can do a monologue thing to him." Zach said.
Dark Gumball rolled his eyes.
"You can't even make a butterfly listen to your monologue." Jealousy Gumball said.
"Really?! Well you're just jealous!" Zach screamed.
"Stop! Both of you! We need a plan to destroy Gumball." Dark Gumball said.
"You got one point, but HOW?" Zach said.
"Yeah." Jealousy Gumball said.
"Ok, I need to ruin his life." Dark Gumball said.
"Ok, there's a plan, but how do we do that? We're stuck here!" Zach said.
"Easy as pie." Dark Gumball said. He added, "We control him."
It was recess. Gumball kicked a stone.
"Dude, kicking stones or getting good luck won't help you get a good score on that essay." Darwin said the two millionth time.
"I can try."
Then the bell rang. "Gulp." Gumball said.
Zach looked at the screen.
"Are you ready?" Dark Gumball said.
"Yep." Zach said.
Then it happened, with the press of a button. Gumball felt weird.
"Dude?" Gumball asked.
"What?" Darwin asked.
"Uh, when's class?"
"In 20 minutes."
"Ok."
Then Gumball collapsed.
"Are you ok?" Darwin asked.
"I'm fine." Gumball said.
"Dude, you're clearly not fine." Darwin said.
"I AM fine!" Gumball said in a very weird voice.
"Uh." Darwin mumbled.
Then Gumball pushed him.
"Hey!" Darwin said. He got up.
Everyone started forming a crowd. "Go away!" Gumball said screeched.
People started whispering. Darwin just stared. Then, a gust of wind knocked people down.
Darwin stepped forward. "Dude.." He started before Gumball's claws came out, and scratched him.
Darwin fell.
Then, Gumball snapped out.
Gumball knew what happened.
Then Darwin got up. "Dude... Please!" He started.
Gumball backed away. There was nowhere to run. He was at a dead end. Gumball saw the gate.
And before he jumped over it and ran, he mumbled "I'm sorry." and ran.
"Gumball wait!" Darwin screamed.
But Gumball didn't listen and ran.
"That was a good scene huh?" Zach said to Jealousy Gumball.
"Yes." Jealousy Gumball agreed.
"Ok guys, now we control fully!" Dark Gumball said, as he pulled the lever.
Gumball ran to home. He knew it was safe there.
He ran upstairs to their room. He shut the door. Then, he saw... Zach? "Zach?" Gumball asked.
"Yep. It's Zach alright." Zach said.
"I thought you were destroyed!" Gumball said.
"I was. But I wasn't completely. I was banished Gumball." Zach said.
"Then WHY did I see you CLEARLY get destroyed in my head?" Gumball asked.
"I teleported. Anyway, you'll come to an end soon." Zach said laughing.
"How?!" Gumball said.
"Well, remember that tinfoil helmet?" Zach asked.
"Yes, I destroyed it." Gumball said.
"You didn't. It made 'Dark Gumball'. Dark Gumball wants to ruin your life. NOW do you get it?" Zach said.
"Why do I get a new monster to defeat every time?" Gumball muttered.
"Well, I'd like to chat, but I gotta go!" Zach said staring at the clock.
Zach disappeared. Gumball was scared. Who was this guy?
He looked at the clock. It was 3:19. He forgot. Darwin. He quickly grabbed his pillow and blanket and ran to the shed.
Later, they sat at the table. Darwin saw an empty seat.
"Darwin, where's Gumball?" Nicole asked.
"Um... I dunno. Something WEIRD happened today." Darwin said. Then he told what happened.
"Is there more porkchop?" Richard asked.
"Yes Richard." Nicole said.
Meanwhile, Gumball sat in the shed. He thought about 'today'. He simply hated it. He wished it never happened. Gumball was very worried.
Darwin crept in his bowl. He looked at the bed. No Gumball.
"You miss him huh?"
Darwin saw nobody.
"Heh. Good for you."
It sounded familar.
Then he spun around to find Zach standing there.
"Gumball?" Darwin was shocked.
"No. Zach."
"But I thought Gumball destroyed you." The words sickened.
"Not completely."
"What? What is it?"
"Gumball. He's in the shed." Zach said.
"He is?" Darwin asked.
"Yep." Zach said disappearing.
"Who was that?" Anais asked.
"Zach. I think, Gumball's in the shed." Darwin said.
"Let's go." Anais said.
Gumball slept. He heard a knock. He woke up. He looked through the secret crack he made an hour ago.
Darwin and Anais were outside.
Gumball cringed. He quickly hid under the table with some stuff in front of him. The door opened.
"Hello? Gumball?" Darwin said.
"Can you hear us?" Anais asked.
Gumball stayed silent.
"He's not here. Zach was wrong."
Zach? Zach must of talked to Darwin too! Gumball wondered.
What did Zach say?
He stayed silent, until the worst.
Darwin flapped the blanket off his hiding spot.
Oh man...
"Gumball?"
Gumball saw him.
Darwin then, found him.
"I found him!" Darwin said.
Gumball was scared.
"Gumball?" Anais said trotting over.
"What's going on?" Darwin asked.
Gumball felt if he could cry.
"It's okay buddy. Just say it. I'll understand." Darwin said calm.
Gumball then spoke. "Zach. He came."
Darwin listened. Anais listened too.
"He said that the helmet we destroyed became... Much more. He said, it made another monster. A... Me. Zach said that guy was gonna ruin my life." Gumball said. Then he realized he was crying!
"So it was THAT guy who made you attack me?" Darwin asked.
"Yeah." Gumball said.
"How do we stop him?" Anais asked.
"I don't know. I don't know what he looks like." Gumball said. Something was wrong.
"Um guys... I think it's... Help!" Gumball sputtered before Dark Gumball took over. Then, he was... Changing?
Darwin and Anais quickly ran out before the shed's roof collapsed.
Gumball was floating.
Nicole and Richard ran out.
Gumball was changing, all right.
He claws popped out, his tail a little messy. Then, his eyes were red.
"What the?!" They all said.
"Darwin! You gotta step up! Speak to him, something!" Anais screamed.
Darwin walked forward. "Gumball, can you hear me?" But then got pushed down.
Then, blue fireballs came out of his hand trying to get them. They dodged them.
A police car saw the situation. "Call in the chopper, the tranquilizer guys, and buy a cage." Doughnut Cop said through the radio.
The police came. They used the trank gun.
Gumball snapped out. He was thrown in the cage. "Wait no!" Gumball screamed. And before they left, he managed to say something. "DARWIN!" Gumball yelled.
"Gumball!" Darwin screamed.
"We need to save him!" Nicole said.
"Before we go can I have a hamburger?" Richard asked.
"No." Anais said.
Meanwhile, Gumball was thrown in a cell that was white. "Wait! Let me out!" Gumball said. He scratched the bars over and over.
"No. It seems you're dangerous to Elmore." Doughnut Cop said.
Danger?
Gumball didn't understand. He slumped near the window. He looked at his hands. Claws. He slumped against the wall.
"Uh, somebody's here to see you." Doughnut Cop said.
Gumball saw them.
"Hi buddy.." Darwin said.
"Hello." Gumball muttered.
"When will he be free?" Nicole asked.
"That has not been decided yet." Doughnut Cop said.
Gumball walked forward to Darwin. "Um.. What did kids say at school?" Gumball asked.
"Uh... Not good stuff. They uh... Said you were probably risky to be around with." Darwin said.
Gumball slumped.

AN: And that was, the original version. Like I said before, never finished because of paper space.
Anyway, The Controlling is now completely finished.
