Holding unto the rose flower
She thought of times back
summers ago she was blooming, bubbly and happy
With her love
gone with the season is the beaut and all
Kept in mournful confinement
clad in dark robe
She yearn in regretful melancholy
her courage, a puff of tobacco smoke from a pipe
Blanketed in grief and sadness
holding unto the rope of hope
memories- a part of her
12 moons ago
together they sat in the garden
but now buried under the step of pedestrians
Is he: the one she vowed to stay with for eternity
Pitiful days are over
She thought
Laying down the flower she held
embracing the new changes
For blissful days are here
savouring the new aroma of patience
she crack a smile
And let go.
