You lay in your hospital bed and groan getting up slowly before you felt someone start to push you back down. You looked around to see your long time friend Fugo next you you shaking his head
"Y/N... Why didn't you tell us it was back..."
You looked at him confused slightly
"What was back?"
His eyes widened in shock
"You didn't know... Your illness... It's back... They're putting you on antibiotics for now but you're on bedrest... Absolutely no missions..."
You sighed
"Can I at least go home?"
He nodded and an hour later you were sitting in the back of his car. You stared at him sadness tinting in your eyes
You knew the likelihood of you beating the mysterious illness that you had been battling most of your life and it wasn't high. The doctors themselves were surprised you'd lived as long as you did. You didn't dare tell Fugo or anyone else in your little family of gang members.
You were tired. Tired of fighting the illness that plagued you and tired of false hope. But you were also confused because instead of going home Fugo pulled into a vineyard
"Where are we..?"
"A safe house. Bucciarati is having us guard the bosses daughter. He figured she'd feel more comfortable with another girl."
You nodded and he helped you into the house where you met one 'Trish Una' you originally thought she was a brat but the two of you quickly bonded.

You stared at Bucciarati in shock as Fugo started yelling at him
"You want Y/N to come with me, Giorno, and Abbacchio on a mission?! She's sick Bruno what if she gets hurt?!"
Bruno'd sigh
"The boss specifically suggested her because her stand is useful if you guys would run into trouble"
You nodded thinking of your stand smirking slightly as Abbacchio quickly stuck up for their leader
"Yeah I feel like Nightmare's purple would be helpful in this Mission. She's strong Fugo stop worrying"
Fugo continued to argue but it fell upon deaf ears as the four of you eventually went to the ruins of pompeii to find the key from the boss.

You stared in the mirror after Giorno got sucked in. You were on your own now and you were terrified. However you managed to clear your mind looking at purple haze thinking of Giornos failed plan. You smiled to yourself as you set your resolve. You ran towards the unstable stand and it tried attacking you. You grabbed two of the bulbs from the stands fist before you jumped back and got pulled into the mirror. You landed on your butt as you noticed both Giorno and Fugo on the ground panting. The enemy revealed himself and you glared
"I was told you have what I want..."
You nodded standing up and ran at him letting out a battle cry as you threw one of the gloves with the virus in it at him and aimed a kick at his stomach. He grabbed your leg dodging the globe as you threw the other one up bashing your head against him breaking the virus on both of your faces. You cried out as he screamed at you and threw you back.
Blisters spread across both you and the brown haired man's face and he glared at you
"Dammit..."
You smiled
"It's over. Purple Hazes virus will kill us both and we will win"
He grunted
"Don't underestimate me... I just need some more resolve. It's not too late yet..."
He jumped up
"Mirror man allow only me to leave this realm but don't allow the virus! The parts of me thats infected isn't allowed to leave!"
You looked at him in shock before coughing up blood not being able to hear his yells. Fugo ran to you
"Y/N!! Y-You risked your life for nothing... I knew I shouldn't have let you come..." Tear rolled down his face as Giorno'd walk up to the two of you
"So... He stepped outside the mirror... I figured he'd go outside when I stared so it's for the best he had the same reaction. He's going down. Now that he stepped outside there's a chance we might survive Y/N... Fugo! Now that he's outside Purple Haze can follow him. Finish him off!"
Fugo looked up and teared up
"I can't.. Giorno. I can't tell where he is from in here... I HAVE NO WAY TO ATTACK HIM..."
A brick would start sliding across the ground as you coughed blood harder
"I know where he is. Golden wind tuenedthat brick into a snake. That's why it's moving. Snakes can tell where humans are by sensing their body temperature."
Fugo gasped and stared at the brick
"Got him!! Let him have it!! Purple Haze!!"
Spores grew on your mouth as your vision slowly blurred and you were thrown out the mirror.
"We defeated him!! Giorno!! Y/N! B-But guys... Purple Hazes virus has spread throughout your bodies... Once you've been infected... No one can do anything.."
You solemnly nodded but Giorno shook his head
"This snake is immune to the virus since it was born from a place covered with the virus. It won't get sick"
He smiled
"If we take blood or cells from it we can create a serum that will stop the virus!!"
Giorno nodded
"Golden experience!! Extract the serum from the snake and inject it into me and Y/N"
You felt the stand poke your chest as pain spread throughout you and you screamed and everything went dark.

You woke up in a room with red couches and looked around confused as you caught sight of Trish
"Where are we?"
Trish looked at you in surprise and in sadness
"On our way to find the truth about the boss. We've all betrayed him..."
You nodded lightly. If Bruno did it. There had to be a reason and you trusted him
"Where's Fugo..?"
She looked at you with a pitied face
"He left us..." You stared at her with tears in your eyes
"W-What?! H-He left us... He left me..?"
Sadness filled you and you looked at the teen
"How do I get out of here.?! I need out!"
She pointed to a chair and you climbed up it appeared in a boat in Narancia's lap
"H-Hey Y/N you're awake!!"
He hugged you and you nodded before looking around
"Where's Bruno... I need to talk to him?"
He pointed to a diner type setting and you walked over to Bruno staring at him
"Bruno..."
He shot a look of pity which just pissed you off worse
"What the fuck happened?!"
He sighed
"We all thought you weren't going to wake up... The boss wanted to kill Trish so I betrayed him... But I gave the others a choice and Fugo made his... You're also free to make your own if you wish to leave you are free to-"
You punched the bowl cut haired man in the face angrily
"I'm not leaving and stop looking at me like that... ?"
He stared at you unaffected when you realized something. You didn't even leave a red mark. Your heart skipped a beat in fear as you put your two fingers to his neck and confirmed your suspicions
"B-Bruno... What happened?!"
He sighed and began explaining how golden experience gave him enough energy to get back to his body but technically he wasn't alive.
You gulped and returned to the turtle and sobbed in the corner. Everything had fallen apart. Your best friend had abandoned you and you didn't know what to do. You sat their until you fell asleep so distressed you didn't realize your illness was gone.
