???'s POV

As I padded back to my den, I realized how late it was getting.

The sun was already halfway behind the trees, meaning that the moon would be getting up at any point now.

My sister would be very paranoid if I didn't return before the moon fully appears.

I began to speed up, now running through the dense forest.

There were a lot of parts in this forest where I had to slow down, due to the densely grown nature.

On rare occasions, I had to use night slash to slice my way through the overgrowth.

It got kind of annoying after a while of running.

...

All I could think about was my sister.

I was so worried about her.

That terrible wound she has, has been getting worse and worse!

Now that I came in contact with the flareon again, I explained him what to do.

I have to hope, that he figures it all out, and that he returns before my sister.....

"...no! that can't happen!..."

"...not after all these years!..."

"...I won't let him win!..."

...

While I was running, my eyes spied a babiri berry bush.

I instantly stopped to pick all of them, carrying them with my muzzle.

The second I had them all, I picked up the pace again.

"...these berries will safe my sister..."

"...without them, it becomes impossible..."

"...I hope that the flareon knows, how to heal wounds like that..."

My pace quickened, as I was nearing the den.

...

The moon was almost completely visible, only hiding a very small portion behind the horizon.

I came to a stop, as I reached the open area where my den was.

My paw opened our den door, closing it behind me.

The babiri berries I collected, were safely placed for safe keeping.

If I didn't take them with me, they would probably get found, and destroyed.

"...grrr..."

"...even after, all these years, he still, holds that, cursed grudge..."

"...he doesn't, even know, where we are..."

"...yet, he continues, to destroy, every babiri bush, he and his 'followers' come across..."

My paws pawed at some sitrus berries, carrying them to the bedroom.

I opened the door to see my sister shivering in terror.

Once she saw that it was me, she lowered her guard.

"...sis, I'm sorry..."

I pawed over the sitrus berries to her.

She began to eat them, as I held them in front of her.

"w-why are y-you so l-late?" my sister asked while eating a sitrus berry.

...

"...I have, good news..."

My sister was immediately interested in what I had to tell.

I climbed onto our bed, making myself comfortable.

...

"...I spoke with the flareon..."

"...I explained him everything..."

She instantly had fear in her eyes.

I didn't choose my words correctly.

...

"...don't worry, nothing about us...."

"...only about, that cursed place..."

My sister's gaze instantly softened.

...

"...don't worry, I'd never, tell them, about you..."

"...now, we have, to wait, for one entire day..."

"...tomorrow morning, he'll start, tomorrow night, he'll find the truth..."

"...over two days, he'll return....I hope..."

My sister forced a smile on her face, ignoring the pain for a little.

"t-th-thank y-you b-brother...."

I placed a paw on her cheek.

...

"...you're, welcome..."

...

My sister ate the sitrus berries I gave her.

She enjoyed them a lot, eating them with a small smile on her face.

Her eyes looked at me while she eat the berries.

I had a reassuring look in my eyes.

...

"...two, more, days..."

"...after so long..."

"...a mon, is finally, willing to help..."

I placed a paw on her cheek.

...

"...we'll make it, after all those years..."

My sister forced another smile on her muzzle.

"t-thank...y-you....b-brother..." she said.

I nodded at her, giving her more berries.

...

Once my sister ate enough berries, I ate the remaining berries and got ready to sleep.

"b-brother?"

...

"...yes..."

"c-c-could y-you s-sleep b-by m-my s-side a-again?" my sister asked, sounding really nervous.

...

"...of course..."

She instantly hugged me.

"t-thank y-you." She thanked me.

A smile appeared on my muzzle.

I laid down, keeping close to her.

She wrapped her limbs around me, touching my tail with her tail.

Her soft fur made me fall asleep.

...

Clyde's POV

Today, was my time to go outside.

Anshul asked me to find a red book, named 'shadowmarks'.

He said that there is only one of them, and I can be everywhere.

My guess is that it is in a library.

Anshul would use that book, to guide him through the castle tonight.

A pressuring feeling was on my torso.

"arceus....I'm nervous..."

"the pressure.....I need to calm down." I thought.

I began to take deep breaths, trying to ease the pressure on my torso.

...

It slightly worked.

My eyes slowly opened.

The room was silent.

No mon has woken up yet.

I began to silently think to myself.

"where should I start my search..."

"hmmm..."

"there is a library in the village"

"I saw another in the castle....I hope it isn't there.."

"where else?"

"...."

"hey, there is one in this den!"

"perhaps it's in there!" I thought.

My paws were still wrapped around amber.

I very slowly removed my paws from her back.

As I got my front paws loose, I very gently placed amber's tail on the bed.

When I got free of amber's soft grip, I slowly rolled over.

Amber suddenly shifted a little in her sleep.

I stayed dead still, not trying to wake her up.

...

The time I waited was around five minutes.

Once she didn't move again for four minutes, I slowly placed my paw on the wooden floor.

Soon, my other three paws followed.

"I just have to be extremely quiet." I thought, taking one pawstep.

The wooden floor didn't help me in trying to sneak out of the room.

One wrong pawstep, and the floor would creak.

I inched closer to the door.

Suddenly, an adorable squeak was heard.

My heart skipped a beat, when I heard some movement.

The movement came from behind me.

I slowly looked at the source of the noise.

It was mira, she was getting in a more comfortable position.....on anshul.

She was laying on top of anshul.

The adorable glaceon shifted a little, her head moving a little in anshul's mane.

Her eyes were still close, a bright smile on her muzzle.

"I'm so happy that mira can sleep peacefully"

"she really seems comfortable on anshul's fur." I thought, a smile appearing on my muzzle.

...

My head turned back to the door.

I began to inch my way closer again.

So far, no creaks have hap---*crreeaakk*......

The entire world froze.

There was a really dense atmosphere all of a sudden.

It became hard to breathe.

I didn't move.

...

...

Five minutes later, I turned my head towards amber.

She was still sleeping peacefully.

"phew" I thought.

My paws inched closer to the door.

...

I finally reached the door.

My paw slowly raised toward the door handle.

*creak*

A softer creak was heard from beneath me.

The creak made me hesitate.

Suddenly, something very soft was heard, it wasn't a creak.

My eyebrows raised, and I had the face of shock.

...

Not a second after my facial expressions changed, I felt something quickly wrap around my lower and upper torso.

The familiar vines tugged hard into a direction.

My paws weren't on the floor anymore.

I landed on the familiar bed, soft light brown paws wrapping around me.

Amber laid down on top of me, hugging me very tightly.

I was still paralyzed from shock.

The happy leafeon began to nudge my neck in her sleep.

She started to purr loudly.

...

When I calmed down, I tried to move my paws.

Amber had her paws wrapped around me, pinning my paws to my sides.

I tried to struggle out of her grip, but that made her only hug tighter.

My hind paws tried to roll us over, attempting to get her off of me.

One of her vines slithered toward my hind legs.

Once it reached my trashing legs, it began to wrap around my legs, getting more tighter the more I struggled.

Amber hugged me tighter and tighter, her head nudging my neck more and more.

It was clear, she didn't want me to leave.

I tried one more time to get my front paws free.

I instantly regretted it, when amber's second vine wrapped around my torso and front paws, pinning them even tighter.

The more I struggled, the more comfortable amber made herself.

She had her head on my neck, purring loudly.

...

"darn....."

"how did I get so close!?" I asked myself.

I saw some movement in my peripheral vision.

My head turned toward the movement .

Anshul was looking straight at me.

The first few seconds I was confused.

"did you also realize that our den has a library?" anshul whispered to me.

I then realized that mira was in the same position as amber.

"umm, did you try to get there as well?" I asked.

"...yep...look at how that ended up?" anshul said.

My vision focused more on mira.

It looked like she was tightly hugging anshul.

Even her hind legs were around anshul, keeping him pinned into a tight hug.

"umm, mira doesn't have vines to keep you restrained..." I stated to anshul.

"so? Mira just rubs herself against me, when I try to get away..."

"she uses her extremely soft fluffy fur to tickle me!" anshul said.

Mira squeaked softly in her sleep, rubbing her head into anshul's mane.

"I must say, you got further than me." Anshul said to me.

"hmm? What do you mean?" I asked, tilting my head in confusion.

"you got all the way to the door, I couldn't even get a single paw out of the bed." Anshul explained.

"really? How could that fluffy glaceon, stop somemon that regularly breaks bones with ease?" I said.

"...because she is extremely soft and fluffy, and I don't want to wake her up." Anshul said.

When I heard that, I instantly knew he liked that mira did this.

...

"so, I guess we need to wait until they wake up?" I said.

"yea...we do." Anshul confirmed.

Both of us dosed off for a little.

...

...

Somemon was nudging me.

I opened my eyes to see a very eager leafeon.

She was rubbing her head into my neck.

"he-hey amber?" I questioned.

Amber looked up at me, when I spoke.

"good morning, cutie!" amber greeted me, her tail wagging fast behind her.

I blushed as she called me cute.

"u-um a-amber? w-why w-were y-you nudging m-me a-awake?" I asked in a confused tone.

"because I love you!" amber said, nudging me again.

My muzzle fell open.

She just said that, like it was nothing.

"a-a-amber, I l-love y-you t-too!" I stuttered.

Amber smiled brightly at me.

Suddenly, mira squeaked.

Both me and amber turned to look at her.

She had bright red cheeks, while looking at anshul In shock.

Anshul slowly opened his eyes.

Mira whined when anshul opened his eyes.

She tried to hide herself in anshul's mane.

Anshul looked at mira with confusion.

"umm, is e-everything alright, mira?" anshul asked.

Mira didn't answer, she just kept her head in anshul's mane.

"mira, is something wrong?" anshul asked again.

Mira started to shiver.

"eazy, calm down mira, it's ok." anshul said.

Anshul wrapped his paws around mira

"shhh, it's okay mira." Anshul said in a soothing tone.

Anshul began to rub mira's back.

...

After a while, mira calmed down, and her shivering turned into soft purring.

"they are so adorable together!" amber said to me.

"yes they are!" I said.

"come, let them do their thing, we'll bake another cake for breakfast!" amber said, looking at me with an innocent smile.

I smile brightly at amber, as she starts to lead me again like yesterday.

We stopped at the storage room again.

My paw opened the door to the room.

I pawed a bunch of sitrus berries, nanab berries and mago berries.

When I padded back to the door, amber was smiling brightly at me.

She lead the way again, now stopping at the kitchen again.

Her vines placed the berries on the counter again, like yesterday.

I hoped up on the counter and began to help.

...

While I was helping amber, I couldn't get my mind off of what anshul told me.

"I have to get that book. If I don't, it won't end well." I thought.

"I need a reason to get out of the den, amber wouldn't let me leave for no reason."

"what could I use as a reason, to get out of the den?"

"...."

"...."

"swimming?"

"yes! Perfect! I'll tell amber that I want to take a swim!" I thought in my mind.

...

Me and amber continued to cook the pie.

It was going swimmingly.

All the berries mixed together, make a perfect pie.

I made the berries ready, and amber mixed them together into a mixture.

The mixture needed some pieces of some berries.

I began to cut some berries into smaller pieces.

Once the berries were cut, amber used the cut pieces to continue the pie.

...

Amber placed the pie in the oven, and set the right baking time.

She padded toward me, brushing her leafy tail over the underside of my muzzle.

"let's rest on the couch." Amber said.

I nodded at her, carefully landing on the floor.

She was patting the couch, wanting me to sit next to her.

I padded a little faster to the couch, and jumped next to her on the couch.

Amber instantly hugged me, wrapping her paws around me and getting me close.

She pulled me into her fur, wanting me to lay on her fur.

I let her.

Amber began to softly pet me with her paw, slowly sliding over my smooth body.

...

"huh?" amber suddenly questioned.

"hmm? What is it amber?" I asked her.

"your skin...it doesn't feel smooth here." Amber stated, worry in her voice.

I tilted my head in confusion.

"what do you mean?" I questioned her.

She picked me up with her vines.

Amber began to inspect my hind leg, where she felt the un-smooth part.

"oh my arceus! Clyde, you have a strange mark on your skin!" amber said, panic in her voice.

"what!" I stated in shock.

"hold on! I'll get anshul to look at it!" amber said, getting up.

"umm, isn't anshul cudd—" I was cut off, as her vines released me on the couch.

I heard rapid pawsteps heading toward the hallway.

The sound of a door quickly opening could be heard.

"eeepp!" I heard mira scream in surprise, as the door was pretty much thrown open.

"amber! what are you do----" I heard anshul say, but he got cut off.

"EEEPP!!!" mira screamed louder for some reason.

"woaa! Amber!! calm down!!!" I heard anshul scream.

Amber padded back into the living room, her vine still in the hallway.

Her vine dragged anshul with her.

She jumped back on the couch, anshul still being dragged.

Anshul slammed into the couch, a thud was heard when he made contact.

"anshul! I need you help! Clyde has a weird spot on his skin!" amber said.

Anshul was on the ground, confused and dizzy from the quick event that just happened.

"hurry!" amber stated.

Mira ran into the living room, looking for her fluffy pillow.

She whined when she saw anshul on the ground, near the couch.

Her pawsteps were quick, as she ran at anshul.

She hugged her fluffy friend, pushing her head into his mane.

"a-are y-you o-ok? A-anshul?" mira asked in a shy tone.

"y-y-yes.....j-just g-give m-me a l-little...." Anshul said.

Amber pouted, she was worried about me.

...

Anshul got his bearings, slowly getting up off of the ground.

He was still a little dizzy, but that didn't last long.

"so, what did you need me for?" he asked.

"look! Clyde has a strange spot above his hind leg!" amber said with panic in her voice.

One of anshul's eyebrows raised, when he heard that.

"hmm? Let me see." He said, jumping on the couch.

Mira whined softly, when she couldn't cuddle her fluffy pillow anymore.

Anshul padded closer to me.

"could you show it?" he asked in a calm tone.

I nodded at him, showing him what amber saw.

The second anshul looked at it, he leaned in closer.

He inspected it closely.

"hmm, it looks like beginning symptoms of dehydration."

"it's something that happens when water types stay dry for too long"

"clyde? When was the last time you swam in a body of water?" anshul asked me.

I began to think.

"ehh, back at the cave? You know, that big lake near the town ruins?" I said.

Anshul began to think himself.

"how do you heal these symptoms?" amber asked, worry in her voice.

"clyde just needs to spend some time in a body of water, that will help heal it." anshul advised.

"for how long?" amber asked.

"it could take from one to five hours." Anshul said, looking at me.

Amber looked shocked when she heard anshul's answer.

"well, I'll need to find a body of water then." I said, getting up.

Amber looked worried.

"please, be careful." Amber said.

"I will, just have to eat first." I said, padding to the library in our den.

Mira instantly jumped onto the couch, and hugged her fluffy pillow.

...

I opened the door to the library.

My goal was to find that red book, named 'shadowmarks'.

My vision scanned over all of the bookshelves.

Not a single red book in sight.

Even after I looked at all the bookshelves, I couldn't find the red book.

I did found a book, named 'shadowmarks' but it was a blue one.

"it isn't here....I'll have to look for it after I swam." I thought to myself.

...

I padded through the hallway, ending up in the living room again.

Anshul was being cuddled by mira, her head on his mane.

Amber was getting the pie ready.

After she got the pie in four different bowls, she placed them on the table.

We all ate the delicious pie.

...

I finished my piece, and got ready to head out.

"please, come back as soon as possible clyde, I'm worried about you!" amber said.

There was fear in her eyes.

"I will, I promise!" I said, reassuring her.

She hugged me, nuzzling my cheek as she did.

I gave a soft lick on her cheek.

Amber was really worried, I could tell by her heartrate.

"I'll be back, see you all soon." I said, opening the door.

They all waved at me.

I waved back, as I closed the door.

"hmm, where could I find a body of water?"

...

I looked all around the village, in search for a body of water.

There wasn't a single body of water anywhere.

All around the village were dark types watching me.

My eyes scanned around for more library's.

There were some around the village, taking a mental note to remember where they all are.

Once I reached the village entrance, two bisharps stood guard.

"what do you want!" one snarled.

"I want to go for a swim." I said, being dead serious.

They look at each other.

"couldn't you find th---" one started, but I cut him off.

"can I go swim or not!" I skipped their pointless ranting.

They didn't look happy when I cut them off.

"do you want to die?" one said, now angry.

I lost all my respect, temper and patience for these useless 'tough mons'.

My paws caught the attack of the bisharp that tried to attack me.

The other bisharp just watched.

I used iron tail on the bisharps heel, making him scream out in pain.

It was jumping on one leg, trying to ease the pain by rubbing the painful spot.

My iron tail swiped its leg, making it fall down to the ground.

"If you make one more threat like that, I'll send you lopunny wannabe strait to the infirmary, GOT IT!" I snarled at it, holding my iron tail against its throat.

It didn't answer.

I released it from my grip, not wanting anything to do with these horrible mons.

The other bisharp looked at me.

"there is a lake east from here." It said.

I nodded at it and headed east.

...

It took some time to get there, but eventually I found the lake.

"finally!" I said, getting in.

I could feel all of my worry leave my body, being carried away by the water.

My paws hit the bottom of the lake, as I relaxed for the first time in a long time.

The water was clean, surprising me by how clean it was compared to everything else.

...

...

It was so relaxing, that I zoned out for a little.

I placed a paw on where that spot was, feeling if my body was now hydrated enough.

The spot was gone, nice!

I swam to the surface, getting out of the lake.

My vision refocused on my surroundings, as I really calmed down after my calming moment.

I headed back to the village, ready to search for that book now.

...

...

As I approached the village, I saw the honchkrow at the entrance.

"nooooo! Why now!!" I thought.

When I came into view, the honchkrow approached me.

"halt!" It said.

"feather fingers." I thought in my mind, holding back a laugh.

"are you the one that destroyed a guards heel!?" it asked, impatient like always.

"hmm, yes...yes that was me." I confirmed.

"by this, you have been warned!" it said, flying off again.

I had to hold myself back from shooting a hydro pump at it.

This entire ordeal made me more motivated to find that book!

I wanted to get out of here, as soon as possible.

My first target was the western library.

...

Every dark type was eyeing me everywhere.

It made me a little nervous, seeing that many looking at me.

I didn't show any fear though.

The library wasn't that far away.

My eyes spotted the library.

I quickly padded toward it, opening the door and closing it behind me.

"phew, now I need to find that book." I thought.

As I turned towards the library, I saw a malamar reorganizing some books.

I padded around the big library.

"hmm? A custooomer??" the malamar said, looking at me.

"whaaat do youuu seek?" it asked.

"I'm looking for a book, a specific red book." I said.

"hmmmm, there are tooons of thooose"

"dooo youu know theee nameee?" it asked.

"not exactly, if I see the name, I'll know and recognize it." I said.

"hmmm, feel freee to look around, but keeep everything organized..." it said.

I nodded at it.

...

Every bookshelf was thoroughly searched.

All of the red books were inspected, read a little and looked at.

It was truly madness how scarce all red books were.

There must have been only twenty red books in this entire library.

I padded back to the entrance.

"did youuu find whaaat you were loooking for?" the malamar asked.

"no, sadly not.."

"I'll be going now." I said, opening the door.

As I closed the door behind me, I heard some books being flipped.

"hmm, I need that book! I can't go to the den empty pawed." I thought.

"next is the eastern library."

I began to pad toward the east side of the village.

All dark types that looked at me, were ignored.

It was a common thing now, getting watched by everymon.

They made me dread this entire thing.

There wasn't one moment that I didn't feel like an outlaw.

"why did we have to come here?" I questioned myself.

...

The east side of the village was smaller for some reason.

There were a lot of store's.

I only was interested in the library.

If I didn't get that book today, it might mess up our chances to escape.

Anshul needed a full moon to break in, which is tonight and tomorrow.

I reached the library.

As I opened the door, I was greeted by a familiar sight.

"hmm? A custooomer??"

"whaaat do youuu seek?" a malamar that looked exactly like the last one asked.

My head tilted in confusion.

"are you the same malamar?" I asked.

"hmmm?" It called out in confusion.

"never mind."

"I'm looking for a red book." I said.

"do youuu know whaaat its caaalled?" it asked me.

"no, I don't know, but if I see the title I'll remember." I said, lying a little.

This time, it pointed to an aisle.

I nodded at it, and padded to the aisle.

As I laid eyes on the aisle, there were way more red books than the last library.

My paws instantly went to work.

"no"

"no"

"no"

"not even close"

"why does this exist"

"that's not right"

"nope"

"this is a copy"

"also no"

"this is unorganized"

"ugg"

"arceus help me.."

"no I don't want to summon darkrai!"

"neither do I want to summon giratina"

"distortion world portal..."

"ritual requirements"

"the origin form"

"unbound hoopa: the cruel king"

"yveltal: the great destructor"

"darkrai: the grim reaper"

"giratina: the devil"

"..."

"why does all of this exist?"

"they worship these legendary? Pff"

"they don't need to summon these"

"all they need to do, is turn around and look at the king, there is more evil in him than a book could ever hold." I thought.

...

After one hour of searching through books, I didn't found the correct one.

The entire library was looked through.

I found nothing...

If I didn't hurry up now, I could be in danger.

"did you fouuund the boook?" the malamar asked.

"no." I said with haste.

The door was opened, as I ran out to go to the last library.

...

"it is getting late!" I thought, seeing the sun somewhat near setting.

My last hope, was the central library.

I ran as fast as I could.

There weren't many dark types now.

I got there fairly quickly.

The door opened, making a thud behind me.

"hmm? A custooomer??"

"whaaat do youuu seek?" the same malamar asked me.

"a red book!" I said, no longer believing its act.

It looked at me with an interested gaze.

"hmm, aisle seven." It said.

I padded into the aisle.

"aisle one"

"two"

"three"

"four"

"five"

"six"

*thud*

"ehh! Hey! There are only six aisle!" I called out in frustration, as I padded into a wall.

The malamar didn't respond.

My head turned back to the aisle.

It was really strange.

Aisle seven was only half an aisle.

The back of the bookshelves from aisle six were on aisle seven, and the other side was just a wall.

There were cobwebs everywhere.

"pff, talking about forgotten..." I joked.

The shelves were very dusty.

All the cobwebs must have been years old.

Even the ground was a mess.

Old nails were sticking out of the old wooden planks for the bookshelves.

No light was near here.

And besides all of that, the only books were all the way at the back of the aisle.

...

I padded into the aisle, being careful not to pad into anything.

It was such a mess in here.

"come on!" I thought.

The end was near.

I finally reached the books.

My vision began to read the titles.

"darkest darkness"

"deathbrand"

"fire and darkness"

"Black Book: The Hidden Twilight"

"ghost in the storm"

"the aetherium wars"

"the doors of oblivion"

"hmm, such strange names.." I thought.

One book stood out amongst these collection of books.

"Black Book: The Hidden Twilight..."

"I wonder if----!!!"

*ka-chunk!!*

...

"what!?!" I called out in confusion.

The book had a mechanic, pulling on the book activated it.

There was a strange circular metal like thing.

It was revealed when a small piece of the wall opened.

Small holes where in the metal circle.

"what is this? Why is this here?" I wondered.

It was all very dusty, so I used a little bit of water to clear it off.

I inspected it extremely closely.

It had five holes, each of them were somewhat near each other.

My head was pounding a little.

"what do I do with this?" I wondered.

When I thought about it, the more it looked like a pawprint.

A pawprint was engraved in the circular metal piece.

I looked at my paw, and wondered.

My paw slowly lowered to the circular metal thing.

As I placed my paw on it, the engravings perfectly matched my pawprint.

The small holes were just a small bit above my paw.

"wait, what if I do this?" I questioned.

I unsheathed my claws.

My claws perfectly fitted into the small holes.

When I did that, the circular thing became movable.

I got a grip on the circular piece of metal, and pulled on it.

The circular thing worked like a handle to open it.

My eyes widened, when it worked like a drawer.

I pulled it out, until I couldn't anymore.

It was a metal drawer, only two things in there.

A key on a necklace.

And a book.

My paws picked up both items.

"shadowmarks, red book." I said.

A smirk grew on my face.

I put the key in the book and closed the mechanical drawer.

My paw held the book close, as I padded on three paws.

"I have found the book." I said to the malamar.

"am I allowed to borrow it?" I asked.

"as long as youuu return it in goood state." The malamar said.

"I will."

My free paw opened the door, and I left the library.

...

Nothing stopped me from running back to the den.

Anymon that saw me, saw blue flash by.

I couldn't risk anything.

This book needs to get to anshul, asap.

My paws moved at high speeds, getting back to the den fast.

...

I saw our den, and increased my speed even more.

There were some murkrows on the roof apposite of our den, and I decided to shoot a water gun at them.

My intention was, that they weren't going to rat me out to that honchkrow.

They stay around our den a lot.

It's very clear that nothing trusts us.

That's good, because we don't trust them either.

I raced over toward the den door.

...

Anshul's POV

Mira was sleeping against my mane, softly purring while doing so.

She brushed herself up to me, especially my mane.

One of my paw was softly rubbing her side.

She was really peaceful.

However, it has been getting late, and clyde hasn't returned yet.

"arceus....let him be ok." I thought to myself.

"s-s-so......s-soft..."

Mira mumbled softly in her sleep.

Her tail would sometimes flick.

...

Amber has been really worried about clyde since he left.

It was so hard for her to see him leave.

When clyde left, she turned to me.

The look in her eyes was heartbreaking.

She instantly ran to her sister for support.

Mira hugged her, rubbing her back with her paw.

It took a long time for amber to calm down.

When she did, she needed something to distract her.

At first, her and mira were talking and playing a little.

Sometime later, mira got tired and fell asleep when she placed her head against my mane.

Mira has been sleeping since then.

When mira fell asleep, amber went to do some stuff around the den.

She organized the entire storage room, placing the same berry types with each other.

Amber also went to work in the kitchen, doing some stuff with the oven.

Her worry was growing more and more.

Every time she had something done, she checked the front door for some time.

After ten minutes of waiting, she sighed and went to do another task.

...

It was getting deep into afternoon.

I was also starting to worry.

Clyde had the perfect opportunity to look for that book.

He had some minor symptoms of dehydration.

Vaporeon need water as much as they do oxygen, but they often prefer water.

If a vaporeon doesn't hydrate itself enough, it skin dries up.

Dried up skin might eventually become a wound.

It was important for clyde to heal up first.

This might be the last chance he gets to do that...

....

"come on clyde....we need you." I thought.

A long time later, I heard something going on outside.

I was a little surprised, when the den door flew open.

My worry instantly left, when I saw clyde enter the den, and lock the door behind him.

Mira squeaked a little from the noise.

"shhh, it's okay mira." I whispered to her, rubbing her back in a soothing way.

She calmed down, now sleeping peacefully again.

Amber was currently doing something in the bedroom.

Clyde finished locking up the door, and turned to me and mira.

My eye instantly landed on the red book he was carrying with him.

He was panting from exhaustion.

His usual smirk appeared, when he saw me looking at the book.

He padded toward me softly.

"here.... Take it.....that took me.....way too long..." clyde said, trying to get his breathing under control.

My paw stretched to the red book clyde had.

I read the title.

"shadowmarks...." I whispered.

The book instantly got my interest.

My paw carefully opened the book.

I began to read what was written.

Warning: this book is not an ordinary reading book. For those that have no interest in danger, skip this book.

By the first thing I read, I already had a good feeling about it.

I let clyde read it as well.

He raised an eyebrow at it.

The next page what got my interest even more.

It seems you are in the same position was in, blinded by lies and deceit. Have no worry tho, there is an exit to that hell, it only requires skill and precision.

Escape is only possible via knowing the truth....in order to find the truth, you must never tell any dark type about this book. This book was never meant to be made, but I digress, that place is the most deadly place in this whole world.

This book holds the key to escape, as well as a real key. This key is used as a master key in the heart of the village, the castle.

The castle is where he rules. He feels no regret, no pain....no happiness. He kills anymon that tries to escape and leave. Avoid him as much as possible.

In order to discover the truth, you'll have to break into the castle. Doing so brings you in extreme danger. Whatever you do, do not get caught. Once you have discovered the truth, head south from the castle, and find me.

As I read the pages in my head, I realized that it was the pokemon in the woods that wrote this book.

He himself had left this in the village, to help others escape.

I turned the page.

The castle is enormous. Even he gets lost in his own castle. A map was never made, until now. I've made a map in this book, every floor, every room, every detail.

This map will be a massive help in finding the truth. The key will unlock most doors in the castle. The doors that don't open, are noted in this book.

Inspect the map, make sure you have it memorized to move as quick as possible, when you're in there. Once you're in, you must never do some things. never go into rooms that are marked with an exclamation mark, those are always death...

Safe rooms are marked with a circle or full moon. Full moon rooms are completely safe, when there is a full moon tonight. It's advised to break in, when a full moon is active. Most if not all dark types will be gone then.

Then there is the question mark marked room. They have lore in them, tells you more about this hell hole.

Now, the rooms you are looking for, have a book marking on them. They hold the truth. They are your main objectives.

Once you have learned the truth, you need to escape. Make sure to re-lock all doors you have opened. Leave no trace of you behind. If you get out the castle, don't get spotted. If they spot you during a full moon, they might just kill you for food, even when you live in the village.

After you have survived the hell that is his castle, come to me.....

This page confused me a little.

I shrugged it off, and flipped the page.

Be warned! Ghost types are everywhere! They live down in the basement, and the rooms you need are in the basement. He has made a deal with them. They are allowed to live down there, as long as they kill anymon that trespasses there. The candles, lamps and chandelier spy on anymon that enters their light. They can only spy when they shine blue, you're safe when they shine red. Don't linger too long in rooms, they might get alerted to your presence. Not too worry, only the blue fires are a threat. All other ghost types will merely try to kill you, but don't alert their leader. The leader alerts the king. The king has two mons, the bird and the leader.

The map is next, use it to your advantage, hide when you hear them patrol, don't get seen. Don't end up like me....

When I flipped the page, I saw an extremely detailed drawn map of the ground floor. the entrance, throne room, kitchen, staircase and even more.

Now I knew what he meant with 'marked rooms' some rooms had a mark in them.

I needed this to get to the right room.

My eye then focused on a key that was in between some of the pages.

"I'm guessing that this is the master key?" I whispered to clyde.

"I think it is, it was right beside the book, where I found it." clyde said.

"well, thank you clyde, tonight I'll break in." I said.

"wait! Tonight tonight? Why not tomorrow?" clyde was a little surprised.

"I can't waste time."

"mira has slept with me for two nights now, she'll most likely want to sleep with amber tonight."

"I have to do it tonight, then tomorrow, I'll go help that mon in the woods." I told clyde.

Clyde then grew a confident look.

"I know you can do it, anshul. good luck." Clyde said.

I nodded at him.

"I'll leave tonight, when everyone is asleep."

"can you stay alert to anything?" I asked.

Clyde nodded.

"good, now go to amber, she missed you." I said, looking through the book some more.

Clyde nodded and turned around, heading to amber.

...

I read the book some more, already planning a route.

While I was reading, mira began to stir a little.

I closed the book, placing it somewhere safe.

"good morning, sleepy head." I greeted mira.

"*yyaaawwnn* h-h-hi a-anshul." mira said back, yawning loudly.

Me and mira just chilled a little....

Amber and clyde started on tonight's dinner....

Once we all ate, amber and mira took their turns in the shower.

When they were done, they wished us goodnight and went into the bedroom to sleep, leaving me and clyde in the living room.

The both of us made it to the second bedroom.

...

...

...

Once it was midnight, I heard the battle cries and loud pawsteps of the dark types overhead.

My ears twitched, and my eyes opened.

Clyde was also awake.

"I'll try to get back as fast as I can." I whispered to clyde.

"please, be careful." Clyde said.

I nodded at him.

The book and key were placed in my leaf bag.

"if I am not back by morning, you must proceed with plan B." I whispered.

Clyde nodded.

"that won't happen, I believe in you anshul." clyde reassured me.

"thanks, now, see you later." I said, opening the bedroom door.

Clyde shot a reassuring look at me.

I closed the door, now sneaking to the front door.

As I unlocked the front door, I felt a hint of worry.

Leaving my only friends behind, while I explore perhaps the dangerous place, made me worry about them.

But I couldn't risk their lives by doing nothing and just waiting it out.

I had to do this...

...

There was no mon on the streets.

The only thing there was, were the streetlights.

To my surprise, I saw one shining blue, it was far away, but very noticeable.

It made me alert of all light there were.

Moonlight enlighten the dark streets.

The moon was full and bright.

All around me was a really dense ambience.

I made sure to move quick and quiet.

...

Once I got up the big staircase, I came across a sight I was happy to see.

The gate was open, leading to the giant courtyard.

At all times, I made sure that no mon was around, not taking any chances of being spotted.

My paws quickly got me to the courtyard.

The entire place looked beautiful in the moonlight, making it seem somewhat magical.

Something I just noticed, that there were no murkrows around.

"they must be sleeping....probably got tired from all the spying during the day." I thought, scanning the towers and grass for any mon.

There was no mon, no sound and no guards either.

I padded to the giant doors leading into the castle.

They were open as well.

This made getting into the castle easy, but I've never gotten further than this point...

...

My first goal, was to get to the stairs.

The basement is where all of the secrets were.

...

Soft pawsteps were heard from me padding toward the stairs.

The red carpet underneath my paws somewhat muffled my pawsteps.

I had the first floor memorized, making my movement swift.

Many rooms I came across, were empty.

That was because all dark types slept on this floor.

...

After some turns, I reached the stairs.

My paws felt the cold stone the second the carpet stopped.

I went down the stairs, getting darker the more I went down.

There were some candle's that lit up the way.

This counted as the ground floor still.

...

Clyde told me that one of the dead ends had a door that was locked.

That door was where I needed to go.

All of the corridors had storage rooms, except the last one.

The last one had the locked door.

As I went down that corridor, I got an extremely bad vibe from all of this.

I pushed through it, and reached the door.

The key clyde found with the book must be for this door.

As I took the key out of my leaf bag, I swear that I heard screaming somewhere.

I shrugged it off and put the key into the key hole.

My paw turned the key, unlocking the door.

The door opened, and I pulled the key back out.

I entered through the door, and closed it behind me.

...

The second I was on the other side of the door, I immediately knew how many mons entered through this door.....none.

No mon has been here in decades.

I had the choice to go three directions.

My paw instantly got the book out my leaf bag, flipping to the right page.

I was now officially on floor -1.

The floor indeed had three different corridors.

Going left or right leads around the castle, many storage rooms were scattered around.

In the book stood that right would lead to a mine??? What!

Left was the storage room for the mine.

Curiosity got the best of me, and I went left.

...

The dense ambience returned.

There weren't many rooms on this floor.

Most rooms were just giant storage rooms.

I reached the storage room for the mine.

The key unlocked the door that was locked.

As I got in, I saw a sarcophagus.

This instantly scared me more than anything.

I closed the door and locked it as fast as I could.

Slight panic kicked in, getting me to run far away from the room.

"*pant* *pant* *pant*"

It took me a little to recover.

"I am one hundred percent sure, that that was a cofagrigus...not a normal sarcophagus at all." I stated.

Then that might have actually been a storage room for a mine.

It's said that cofagrigus eat precious metals or gold....something like that.

Looks like they didn't check it enough, because that room was emptier than that sarcophagus.

The chills got to me, making me take a short cut by turning left, instead of right to returning where I started this floor.

...

These corridors never seemed to end.

After a while, I finally got to where I was supposed to be.

The next set of stairs were close by.

Once I reached it, I got really confused.

A solid metal door was in my way.

I tried to use the key on it, and it didn't work.

There was a door a little to the right, so I went to that door.

My key once again didn't work.

The book had this room marked.

A question mark indicated that there was some lore.

Then I noticed that the book told the lore in further pages.

This room was labeled: my room...

There was text that told about the room.

A circle told me that it was a safe room as well.

This is my room.

He forced me to stay in this room, when I started to know too much. It was an attempt to hide his secrets. I was locked into this room for days. Too bad for him, there is a way to get in and out without a key. There is a lamp next to the door that if turned, will unlock the door. I used this all the time to get out. The lamp is on both the inside and outside, making it possible to unlock and lock from both inside and outside.

Inside the room, is a way to get past the metal door. The fireplace has the ability to open a wall that lead to the staircase, the hole in the wall served as my entrance to deeper parts in the castle. Pushing against the wall via the staircase makes it open as well. it can close from both sides.

I tilted my head at the highly detailed description of everything but the room itself, only how to get out of it.

My head raised to the lamp that wasn't even on.

As I tried to move it, it tilted 45 decrees to the right, followed by a unlocking sound.

"what?" I questioned, trying the door again.

The book didn't lie, the room was now open.

I closed the door, and was greeted by a small room.

One desk, a small bed, one chair, a fireplace and the wall lamp were in the room.

This room was never meant to be lived in.

Nothing of value was in here, no information or anything.

I quickly moved on.

The fireplace had some kind of strange bolt, that was in the wall.

When I unbolt it, the wall moved?

"don't question it anshul, that would only make you more mad." I told myself, going to the newly made hole in the wall.

As I closed it behind me, it just remained unbolted, meaning that a simple push was all I needed.

...

The stairs were from steel, rusted steel.

It spiraled downwards, feeling quite sturdy as well.

As I got more down, the more stronger a familiar scent got.

...

I then realized that this staircase wasn't rusted, no that 'rusted' look was dried blood....

I quickly got down the stairs, now reaching floor -2.

My interest grew to the words 'the dungeon' after the -2.

A metal bar door was before me.

The master key opened the prison like door easily.

Instantly, I noticed some ghost type pokemon roaming the corridors.

Something I also noticed, that there were more candles down here, and the corridors were way wider.

Some of the candles were blue.

The ghost types were only first stage pokemon.

They would flee if I got near.

I looked at the map for this floor.

There were some rooms that had exclamation marks on them, meaning danger.

Some rooms caught my eye though.

Several rooms had a question mark in them.

I decided to go straight.

Many of the candles I passed, really didn't seem like normal candles.

They seemed to....fresh, most of them barely having lost candle wax.

There was no way that these were regular candles, if they still shined all this time.

...

I moved with more caution.

All of the doors I passed, had some things behind them.

I reached the room that had a question mark.

There actually was no door, and I instantly saw why.

A burned out forge was here.

Empty shelves of what was supposed to hold metal bars, were empty.

Some more things were in this room, noticeably a grindstone, workbench, several racks filled with smiting tools.

I was interested for the lore in this room.

The black smith.

A room where terrible things were made. Unlike a normal smith, this one was for creating weapons, armor and more things. but there was one weapon that was never supposed to be made. He wields that weapon...that weapon...started all of this....

There was a lot of confusion about this room.

I shrugged it off, and moved to the next room.

...

"why did I have to know about that blacksmithing room?" I wondered.

Blue candles were getting more and more common now.

That, and more ghost types started to appear.

I kept my cool, until a creepy lil thing started to run at me from the darkness.

It was rather fast for whatever it was.

I charged a shadow ball, and shot it at it.

A loud screech emitted from the mon.

It was a banette.

I quickly moved onto the next room.

...

Once I reached the next room, I was attacked.

A honedge was trying to get me, using its sharp sword.

It made its attacks really hard to dodge.

I finished it with flamethrower, blasting it against a wall.

My head poked around the corner.

It was far too dark to see anything.

I had to use ember to enlighten the room for a short time.

Dried blood was near the doorway.

The room was no doubt a battle training room.

There were training dummies made of straw.

This room looked forgotten.

I read about it.

The training room.

I'll never forget this cursed room. It's where the first 'incident' happened. I warned him many times, but he never listened. I wasn't aware of it then, but after a while I knew all about it.

None of this lore made sense.

These are random facts or some other things about these rooms.

I got enough of the lore, and needed to get down another floor...

"arceus...now I know why that staircase before the castle is so long and high, it's because this castle has like seven basements!" I thought.

I hurried to the next floor, running really fast past all the ghost types.

Nothing stood in the way of floor -3.

...

The staircase was interesting.

There was a big hole in the middle of the stair case.

If you would fall down, you'd not even see where you would land.

Shivers crawled over my back, as I continued down the stairs.

...

Next floors name was....the torture chambers....

I was happy to see that this was the final floor, and the room that I needed to reach was on here as well.

More powerful ghost types where down here.

It was really dangerous down here.

I had to book it to the nearest safe room to collect my bearings.

I closed the door behind me.

"wow! That wasn't normal! Pff I need to get to that room now!" I told myself.

It was very difficult to sneak past everything.

In the book was a room with a question mark.

Just because I went past it, I had to check it out.

His favorite room.

When I saw this room for the first time, it was empty, nothing strange about it at all. On that night I discovered the truth, this is the room that made my soul leave my body. The room that opened my eyes. All of it started to make sense when I saw this room that day.

I didn't know what to expect.

When I unlocked the door, a terrible feeling overcame me.

Part of me wanted to close the door again, but another part told me to look.

...

I totally went against my instincts for the first time in forever.

!!!!

Opening this door....made me almost choke.

Blood was everywhere....

Death was marked in every inch....

I started to cough uncontrollably....

It dawned on me, that this entire room was filed with pokemon hide and pelts...

I slammed that door close and locked it.

"......."

I was silent....no words......I'm never going against my instincts ever again....

"he....skins.....pokemon?.....I think arceus will forgive me if I killed this mon for his sins..." I told myself, the haunting images of skinned pokemon hide flashing through my mind.

...

As those images still haunted me, I began to look for the main room I needed to find.

Many corridors were still in my way.

...

Eventually, I finally reached the room.

This was the biggest room of them all.

I opened the door with the master key.

...

As I closed the door, I got a feeling of safety.

I turned around, and was greeted by a giant library.

"the truth is supposed to be here somewhere." I stated.

I noticed the many chandeliers around the library.

A big desk with a lot of paper was what caught my interest.

As I padded toward it, I saw how run down the library was.

"is this what I'm looking for?" I asked myself, reaching the desk.

I jumped up on the noticeably big chair.

A journal was on the desk.

I jumped up on the desk.

"this was written by the king!" I stated to myself.

I began to read it.

Today, me and my best friend found something. It was a very big castle with several floors. There was a lot of room, and even space for a village! I'm excited to have found this castle.

Day two: we explored all around the castle, it was very old and run down, but a castle needed a king, I'm sure my friend doesn't mind that I'm the king, since I found this place first.

Day three: after some asking, he finally allowed me to be king! I placed him as my left clawed mon in loyalty.

Week one: we have been here a week now, and I must say, a lot of pokemon are willing to help clean up this place! Making the castle all new again.

Week two: it's all going so well! we got the entire castle done with help from my new followers!

Week three: we have made a village. More mons continued to live here.

Week four: my friend is starting to bug me a little. Every time I come up with a good idea, he turns it down...

Week five: there has been rumor of a witch! I'm going to protect my people to the very end!

Week six: in order to hunt that witch, I need some kind of weapon, one that is strong and deadly!

I've sent some mons to collect some rumored material. It's said that it is stronger than any metal, and it has a unique effect.

I was really surprised when the mons I sent out, came back! They said that it was some material from a special meteor or something. I made really sure to keep this a secret from my 'friend' he's been starting to question me a lot more lately...

A professional blacksmith told me he'd work the special material into blade. There has been a lot of rumors going around about ghost types around this village and the outer village.

The blacksmith told me it would take a long time to forge it into a sword, but it would be 100% unique if he did. More and more mons are talking about ghost types....

A massive problem just arrived, the outer village....it's completely gone!....they say it was ghost types, but I believe it was that witch!

My life has just gotten so much better! A beautiful ///// has come into the village! She is so pretty! I want her as queen!

"that's very strange? This word has been scribbled over....with blood...." I stated.

I continued reading.

Yes!!! The cute mon is willing to come live in the castle! And the blacksmith said that my sword was going nicely! My life is starting to look brighter!

My queen has arrived! She is so pretty! I want no other mon to be my queen!

She loves me!! She wants to become my queen! I love her so much!!

My friend is really beginning to become annoying! He always bothers me about things when I'm having fun with my mate.

My sword is ready for battle! I'm fully prepared to kill a witch now!

.....arceus.....today something terrible happened.......I was testing out my sword in the training room, when somemon sneaked up behind me.....in a matter of shock I......accidentally......killed her.......but it was an accident....why was she sneaking around those parts anyway? She saw me training with the sword, so it can't be my fault! I just need to hide her body....somewhere.

My queen noticed that I was more on edge lately, I think my nervousness is starting to get to me....I need to get rid of that body!

Yes!! I've finally got a way to dispose of the body! A huge flock of mandibuzzes were captured and blamed for murder! Their food will be that body!

My friend is starting to worry about me, he's checking on me a lot.

Damnit! He found out about my sword! He asked why I needed that dangerous sword, I told him the truth and said that I wanted to use it to kill the witch...

My queen has spent some time with my friend....I don't know why, but they were laughing a lot when they were together.

Those mandibuzzes are starving, they need food to survive....only one way to do that...

I've sent some mons to get some prey, hoping that he doesn't find out.

Of course!! That rattata! Just as they came back with the prey, he noticed!! Ugg, now I had another pointless speech about responsibility!

Why is my queen not around that much anymore? Why is she hanging out so much with my friend?

I've become lonely lately, some mons have rumored about a flock of birds nearby.

A honchkrow got my interest. He said that he and his flock of murkrow wanted to live in my castle. In return, they would stay loyal and help with exploration.

That honchkrow has officially become my right clawed mon! he is truly very loyal.

It grew to my attention that honchkrow can command his murkrow flock around, doing anything he wants them to do......interesting.

I've told honchkrow to command his murkrows around, wanting them to keep an eye out for any suspicious behavior.

HE DID WHAT!! He kissed my queen!! MY QUEEN!! How dare he!! We'll have to do some serious talking!!

He got defensive....I had to.....I know something....I'll keep him away from her! Then he can't show his love to my queen!

I locked him up in the basement, letting him cool off for a little.

Now with him out the way! I could do so much more! Ask for more prey! Create more weapons and armor! Do things my way!

My queen was unhappy....she was wondering where my friend went....I tried to cheer her up with some....playfulness.

...she found out....she found him.....I had to take more ....repercussions.

He's now deeper into the basement....but my queen doesn't want me anymore since I knocked her out....

She knows....she knows about the prey....she wants to leave now.....I can't....I need her...

She didn't listen.....I had to tie her down.....

every time she tried to get out....I had to secure her more and more.

He did this to me.....it's all his fault! He took her away from me!! Now look! I never wanted any of this to happen!!

Why won't he listen! I tried to explain to him, that he needs to listen!! But he won't!

I hurt him today.....I couldn't care less....he had it coming.

He asked me something today.....why am I doing all of this?......well, my friend. I just wanted to be happy.....but you decided to ruin that for me.....

My blacksmith has done a lot of research on my sword. He has discovered it's hidden potential.

He is a genius!! That sword is magical! If I swing it enough, it becomes so heated, that it catches fire! I now have a fire sword!!

'the witch slayer' that is the name of my sword! I told my queen about it, but she only responded with some muffled squeals of terror.....I think she still needs to warm up a little.

I played with her again...she really isn't happy anymore.....she cries a lot now...I wonder why.

Torture....this is one of my new favorite things to do!

His loud screams are getting him nowhere! That's what you get you thief!!

My honchkrow friend has continued to stay loyal to me.

I asked one of those ghost types if they could stop killing my mons, they wanted something in return...

I offered them a place in the basements, they accepted and will no longer kill anything....

He still hasn't learnt anything after several years of torture....I'm surprised by his new looks now!

My queen looked really happy today! I think those were tears of happiness!

I've had more fun with my queen! Yep, she truly is moaning a lot more than before!

I became really pissed today! My queen didn't want to have fun, I had to knock her out and re-secure her. And even that good for nothing 'friend' didn't want to listen to me anymore, I used some new techniques to torture him..hee hee!

NOOO! NO! she got out!

.....my life is over.......she escaped......with him........but in the end, I still win! Hehehe! I got a nice wound on her side! That will kill her guaranteed! No mon has survived a wound of my sword yet!

Skinning....a new hobby of mine! It's nice and relaxing!

Mons have noticed.....the killing has not gone unnoticed. All of them tried to run! Hehehe, once we released the blood hungry mandibuzzes, the screams were like music to me!

No survivors! Make them bleed! Make them suffer! Those hungry mandibuzzes will keep them from escaping!

Only one hungry mandibuzz can kill ten! They are stronger than I thought!

It all works perfectly! If they try to cross the border! They will be eaten! Those mandibuzzes are perfect!!

This is my final report....the killing will continue! They can't hide forever! Once we find them! They'll be my best prisoners! I'll torture them! Then skin them and wear their skin as trophies! No mon leaves this village alive! No mon!!!

...

As I read everything, I was starting to realize more and more.

We can't escape, because of the mandibuzzes.

His queen, is the mon that's hurt, the mon in the forest needs my help to heal her.

Then....the mon.....he is the mon that is tortured!

"wait...this journal....this is his journal." I stated, picking up another journal.

I began to flip through the pages.

When I reached later pages, more words were written down.

This is it....

Everything he has done....all innocent mons that have been killed.....all the pain....all the suffering....he tried to keep me away from her....he tried to make me disappear......he has gone insane.....power corrupted him......now, he wants nothing but death.....me and her are the only survivors......but....we have never left.....her wounds are too fatal.....he has gone too far.....he.....changed....me.....I've been reborn.........he....tortured...me......whoever reads this.......I need your help.....come find me....

I closed the journal, and looked at some more scribbles on paper.

The witch....I now know who it is.....it was my queen all along.......I'm so glad that my sword struck her! She'll bleed out! Those berries can't save her!.....no mon can!

Wanted: two betrayers...whoever can confirm that these two are dead, gets a permanent position as highest rank, and all gold I have!

They might have survived me....but they will never survive the wild! They are both badly wounded! They will be easy prey! Once the full moon hits! They will all be dead!

This village is perfect! Anymon that wants to find shelter for the full moon! Will all die and be killed! This is what makes us stronger! It was supposed to be like this!

The ghost types have been asking for peace and quiet....if I don't deliver that...they will kill everything...hmm.

I've offered them a new deal. All trespassers can be killed....they accepted....I don't care anymore....

"these are all short sentences he wrote.....I guess to preserve his sanity? But that has been gone before all of this....I wonder what bond they had before all of this?" I asked myself.

My ear twitched, and I instantly dodged out the way.

A shadow ball was shot at me.

It was from a gengar.

I shot my own shadow ball at it, but it intercepted with the same move.

An explosion was created, giving me the time to grab the red book, put it in my leaf bag, and run out of the library.

The door was closed behind me, and I locked the door.

Without hesitation, I began to run the same way I came from.

I could hear the gengar chasing me, shooting attacks from far away.

As I was running, I went the wrong way, getting me to a part of the basement where I haven't been yet.

Many iron prison cells were around these parts, one corridor going far down.

In attempt to lose the gengar, I ran down the long corridor.

I passed many rooms...

They all looked like they held torture devices.

The corridor was a dead end, with a door.

I didn't hesitate to unlock the door and hide inside.

...

The room was really dark.

I used some fire to light it up.

All I saw was blood covered floor and walls....as well as various tools like hammers, saws, shears, knifes and even hot irons.

"oh arceus! What is this now?" I questioned myself.

My paw instantly went to go get the red book.

When I started to flip through the pages, I realized that this room holds some lore.

I began to read it, using ember to get some light.

This...is where it happened.

He tortured me here....it was my punishment for taking his queen away from him....he hurt her as well...when she discovered where I was in the basement...he tackled her....and began beating her....till she was unconscious.....he then moved me down here....hoping that she would forget about me....she didn't.......then....that one day....she came rushing down.....she unlocked the door.....and she got me loose.....I lost so much blood....I've no idea how I survived....I'm leaving this book......might anymon that find this book, survive....like I and she did.....

"this is where he was tortured...arceus I have to get back now!" I told myself.

I opened the door, locking it behind me.

As I started to run, many ghost types roamed around.

Any blue light I saw, I had to avoid.

I had to wait for one.

Once it was normal, I ran past it.

The red book was in one of my paws, guiding me out of this hell.

Some ghost types blocked my way, I had to turn a corner to get away.

As I was nearing the stairs, ghost types were hunting me down.

I took a last left, and the door was right there.

My paw pulled the door close, my other paw using the key to lock it.

...

My paws hurried up the stairs.

As I was skipping steps, I heard water like noises from the hole.

The sounds made me curious.

I shot a fire blast down the hole.

What I saw, could only be explained as a water source for sharpedo and carvanha.

However, the water looked more like blood.

I shook my head, breaking my train of thought and continued running.

...

After I relocked the door, I ran past all of floor -2 with ease.

There weren't any blue flames in my way to stop me.

With some speed, I made it out of floor -2.

...

I pushed the wall in the stairway, getting me into the room, skipping the big iron door.

The wall was pushed back, and I re-bolted it.

Using the wall lamp, I unlocked the door, and made it out the room.

Outside the room, I fixed the light, locking the door again.

Floor -1 was even easier, there were even less ghost types.

The corridors were longer, but it was mostly straight.

Using the book, made it easy.

I found the door, unlocking it quick to get through.

Locking the door behind me, to erase all traces of me being down there.

All I had to do now, is get out the castle, and get to the den.

...

I made my way to the staircase, being quiet to not alert anymon.

Sneaking up the stairs was easy.

My paws felt the red carpet once again.

I had no idea how late it was, but I had to get back as fast as possible.

Worry was on my mind.

"what if mira or amber woke up? What if they saw me gone?" I wondered.

The thought made me pad faster.

It wasn't that difficult to return to the big wooden doors.

Once I made it out of the castle, only the courtyard and staircase remained.

The courtyard was a straight path, making it really easy.

To my surprise, the gate was still open.

I rushed down the staircase, going fast.

There weren't any dark types, just like when I broke in.

They must still be hunting.

...

As I made my way back to the den, I made sure no murkrows were around.

The den wasn't far away at all.

Some blue light dodging was required to get to the den.

...

I saw our den, rushing back fast now.

My paw opened the door, quickly closing it behind me.

The bolt went on, and the chair was pushed against the door.

I finally felt safe to breathe again.

It took me a little to recover from all of this.

Once I got my breathing back under control, I stood up and padded to the bedroom.

I made sure to remove all of the dust and other things from my pelt, using the bathroom to clean myself up.

After I cleaned my fur, I slowly sneaked into the hallway.

I opened the bedroom door slowly, making clyde jump from shock.

My paws softly inched toward the bed.

Once I was on my bed, I removed my leaf bag from my shoulder.

Clyde looked at me with a worried look.

"did you succeed?" clyde whispered.

I nodded at him.

"I'll safe you the details....I now know the truth..." I said.

"do you want to tell me about it?" clyde asked.

I shook my head.

"I've seen things....those images will haunt me for a long time.....all you need to know, is that I'm helping the mon in the woods tomorrow...I'll have to get up early....if I'm not back by nighttime....I need you to proceed with plan B." I told clyde.

"are you sure you have the energy for that?" clyde asked.

"I have no choice....it has to be done....otherwise, we might lose our chances.....I can't risk that...." I explained to clyde.

"it's just one day bud, I'm sure that one more day can't hurt right? You look exhausted." Clyde said, worry in his voice.

"believe me clyde, after all the things I've seen and read, you'd do the same..." I answered.

"hmm, ok then, but please stay safe..." clyde said.

"I'll try clyde....I'll try." I said back.

I got under the covers, made myself comfortable, and fell asleep.

...
