- Chapter 3 - Super Lucky and Super Tumbler -
Warnings: Evil Snyderrrrr (ahhhh!)
Third Person POV

Race walks into the Manhattan Lodge, Tumbler still on his back.

His clothes were still pretty wet, but they had dried slightly.

The boys look at him when he walks in.

"Tumbler!" Lucky exclaims, jumping up from Specs' lap.

"Luck!" Tumbler exclaims, climbing off of Race's back.

They hug each other, clinging to each other.

"Racer..." Jack starts sternly.

Race looks up at him. "Jacky!" He mimics Lucky and Tumbler.

Jack shoots him a stern look. "What have I said to do when you get thrown into Brooklyn's harbor?" He asks.

Race rolls his eyes. "Calm yourself." He tells his leader. "I'm fine."

"Race..." Jack's voice and eyes were still stern.

"I'll grab him clothes." Specs tells Jack, heading up the stairs before Race could stop him.

"Race, you're shivering." Albert points out, holding his arm. "You can't say you aren't cold if you're shivering."

"I'm what?" Race looks down at his arm. "Huh. Uh- I guess I am shivering." He mutters, a bit confused.

Albert chuckles softly.

"I needed to get out of Brooklyn." Race tells Jack. "They keep teasing me and I didn't need another reason for them to." He rolls his eyes.

Some of the boys laugh.

Specs comes back with clothes for Race.

Race rolls his eyes, takes them, and leaves the room.

He comes back in a few minutes later, his cheeks puffed out, his face flushed, and his arms crossed. "Why did you give me Jack and Crutchie's clothes?" He asks, glaring slightly at Specs.

He gestures to Jack's undershirt on him, Crutchie's pants and socks, and Jack's hat.

Specs chuckles a bit. "Cause you sleep better in their clothes and you're adorable." He answers. "Plus, you're clothes are getting cleaned currently."

Race mentally curses.

"I think Spot would like this." Romeo comments with a smirk.

Race turns bright red. "Shut up." He mutters, staring at the floor.

The boys chuckle.

"Can you tell us the story?" Lucky and Tumbler ask Race in unison, looking up at him.

Race chuckles a bit. "Okay." He sits down on the couch.

The two littles climb up and onto the couch, and then sat each other on Race.

Lucky laid his head on Race's chest, Race holding him, his arm around Lucky's waist.

Tumbler laid on the other side of Race, Race's arm around his as well and hum holding onto Race's hand.

Lucky and Tumbler's hands also laid across Race's stomach, clutching each other's.

Race chuckles softly.

"After Super Lucky and Super Tumbler got Specs back to Romeo, and Romeo cried a bit more,"

Lucky and Tumbler giggle a bit.

Romeo shoots Race an offended look.

Race smirks a bit to himself.

"I lie, Romeo cried a lot."

Lucky and Tumbler start giggling more.

Romeo rolls his eyes.

Specs pulls him into his lap, playing with his hair so he didn't go smack Race upside the head with his hat.

(It's happened before.)

"They left the house..." Race starts slowly.

Lucky and Tumbler start getting concerned.

"Out of the blue, guess who it is!"

Lucky and Tumbler stare a look. "Snyder." They say in unison, like it was a horrible thing.

Race had to stop himself from laughing at their seriousness.

Some of the other boys were laughing at their seriousness/trying and failing to hide their snickers.

"Snyder appeared in front of them."

Lucky and Tumbler share a concerned look, Tumbler squeezing Lucky's hand for reassurance.

Race smiles.

"After a bit of talking, which will be presented by Romeo, JoJo, and Buttons. JoJo playing Lucky, Romeo playing Tumbler, and Buttons playing Snyder."

The three boys walk to the middle of the living room, Buttons wearing a large shirt and pillows under it to look like Snyder and Romeo and JoJo wearing blanket capes.

Lucky gets up, sliding on his stomach off of Race and the couch.

He pushes the pillows off of Buttons.

"What are you doing, Lucky?" Race asks with a small chuckle.

Lucky looks at Race sternly. "Buttons can't be evil." He tells him. "He's too nice."

Lucky pushes Buttons to the side of the room, into Elmer's lap, causing both boys to blush.

Lucky grabs Jack's arm.

He pulls Jack in front of the group and stands him across from Romeo and JoJo.

Lucky sits back down on Race, his hand slipping back into Tumbler's.

The boys all start snickering.

Race covered his mouth with his hand, trying to muffle his snickers.

Jack looks around. "Should I be take this personally?" He asks, an eyebrow raised.

Some of the boys start laughing harder.

"Continue!" Lucky exclaims, an expecting look in his eyes.

Jack rolls his eyes, but nods.

"Snyder." Romeo and JoJo gasp in unison, facing each other.

Race was having a hard time trying not to laugh.

The other boys weren't even trying.

Even Kloppman was watching. He found this quite amusing.

Jack fakes an evil laugh. "It is me, Spider the Snyder- I mean-" he coughs dismissively. "Snyder the Spider!" He exclaims.

Lucky and Tumbler start giggling.

"I'm here to destroy you all!" Jack exclaims, before faking an evil laugh.

Race bites his lip to stop him from laughing, but it wasn't working very well.

This is so much better than I thought it would be.

JoJo and Romeo share a serious look. "Never." They respond in unison.

Race was honestly impressed that JoJo and Romeo were keeping a straight face.

After a few minutes of the three of them fake fighting (which was really just Jack pretending to get hit with spells that Lucky and Tumbler shouted), Jack was defeated.

Jack laid on the floor, his hand clutching his heart. "I- I have been-" he looks at the ceiling dramatically. "Defeated." He flops onto the floor, his eyes closed.

JoJo and Romeo help Jack up, and the three boys bow.

The others clap and laugh.

The three boys who had been preforming laugh.

"And Snyder was defeated." Race finishes. "The end." He shoots the littles a smile.

Lucky and Tumbler clap.

A few hours later

Race, Lucky, and Tumbler had disappeared about thirty minutes after dinner, so Jack, Crutchie, Specs, and Albert went investigating to find them.

They didn't have to look very far- or hard for that matter- because they found them in the bunk room.

They all laid on Race's (top) bunk.

Race laid in the middle.

Lucky laid closer to the wall, his back facing the wall and his head turned towards Race. He clung to Race's arm.

Race also had a protective, safe, and secure grip on him, but not to the point where it hurt him.

Lucky's right hand/arm laid over Race's stomach, like before, and was holding Tumbler's.

Tumbler laid closer to the guard rail, Race's arm wrapped around his waist, pulling him slightly closer to him.

His right arm was under Race's neck and his left was across Race's stomach, meeting and entangling with Lucky's hand in the middle.

They all had small smiles on their faces.

"He's so good with kids." Albert comments quietly, a small smile on his face as he looked at them.

The other three boys nod.

"Come on," Crutchie starts. "We should leave them be. It's been a long day, especially for Race, and we have selling tomorrow." He reminds them.

The other three boys nod.

They turn and walk out of the room.

Specs stops in the doorway, his head turning to take one last look at the three youngest boys.

He noticed Lucky mumble something that looked a lot like 'Love you' as he snuggled ever-so-slightly closer to Race.

Specs smiles at the sight, closing the door.

He was met with Jack smiling at him.

They shared a silent smile, before Jack put his arm around Specs' shoulder.

They walked downstairs together.

I rewatched Newsies on my computer yesterday and I found this.

Jeremy (Jack) hits Chaz (Buttons) in the shoulder in one angle and Josh (JoJo) is behind him.
Then,

It changes to Jack Sipple's Newsie and Chaz (who you can't see in this picture cause I failed) is behind him. (I don't think I spelt his last name right, so sorry lol.)
