It is Y/n third visit already , he and Mdm Jang is already very close and fond to each other. Y/n bought her dish that she had been craving for a long time. Tteokbokki , rice cake and sausage skewers. One time , she even asked y/n to bring soju but a nurse overheard the conversation and give her a big no no. They chuckled at the nurse's reaction and saying that they are only joking.
tutttttt tutttttttt.
Y/n's phone rang . It is an unknown number but he answered it quickly.
"Hello , who is this ? "
"Hello sunbaenim. Its Wonyoung . Am i bothering you now ? "
"Aaaa Wonyoungie. No you re not interrupting anything. Ill save this number . "
"Okay Y/n sunbaenim . I didnt said it earlier but its nice to meet you , sunbaenim . Bye bye ! "
Wonyoung immediately hung out. She is too shy with her sunbaenim after that momemnt where he accidentally compliment her while leaving her alone at the club homeroom. Ever since that moment , Wonyoung want to get to know y/n more because she feels close to him. Plus , he is one of the senior that she befriend with so far.
"its a girl ? look at my y/n , are you going to bring a girlfriend to meet me next time ?" Mdm Jang teased him while pushing and pulling y/n shoulder softly . She noticed that the way y/n talked is different, compare to how he talked to his male friend through the phone.
"What ? no grandma . She is a new club member. Hmm Maybe i"ll bring her next time too. " y/n then leaned toward Mdm Jang a little bit and whisper to her ear
"She is pretty by the way , grandma"
"Ya ! see i told you Hahahahahaa"
They laughed out loud , loud enough that the nurse at the other bed turned her head to them and signaled them to be quiet.
at the campus
Y/n is sitting at the cafeteria , having his breakfast . His only class for that day in the morning so he probably leave after the class ended. While enjoying his sandwich , he noticed a girl coming close to him from his side . Its Wonyoung.
"Good morning sunbaenim!" Wonyoung pat his shoulder before walking to the opposite of the table and sit with him.
"Hye Wonyoungie. You dont have any class now ? "
"No. I only have one class at the afternoon but our lecterur texted us in the group chat that he will not be available so he canceled the class. Now im bored. Anyway , i can come to the club room anytime i want , right? Hyewon sunbaenim told me that and gave me the door's code . "
"Yhess hmm" y/n answered and nodded with his mouth still full with sandwich.
"Anyway Wonyoung ah. You re new here right ? Do you want me to show you around the city ? I mean , if you are okay with that . Everytime i saw you around the campus , you rarely have friend around you. " y/n once again talked without thinking through. But it is true that y/n always wonder why Wonyoung didnt have that much friend despite her looks and personality. People would definitely want to befriend her.
"Ng ? City? " Wonyoung is feeling shy from the sudden invitation by her sunbaenim.
"Ye-yes. of course sunbaenim! " She excitedly answer to cover her red cheek . Her ears are already hot , luckily being cover by her wavy long hair. Of course she would agreed. It is her crush asking her out. Yes , Wonyoung thinks that she already catched a feeling towards y/n. His friendliness , his smile and kindness made Wonyoung debate with her self whether to get close or not with him .
"Okay then. You wait for me at the club room . Ill come after i finished my class . We walk from here . deal?" y/n answered , while keeping his cool.
"Okay!"

Y/n went to his club homeroom after his class finished. Along the way , he thought to himself
"is this a date ?? is this a - DATE?! Why did I asked her without thinking about it through. i dont even have any plans man. What the heck . AH screw it "
Y/n heavily walked to the club homeroom door and knocked.
"Lets go ! " Wonyoung answered as soon as she opened the door. She are impatient about the "date" .
They both then walked to the front gate together having a small chat about how boring is y/n class just now. He complained that the lecterur keep telling stories about himself , full of bluff and only 10% of the lecture is about the subject. Wonyoung cant help but keep laughing making her cheek and jaws hurt. She sometime hit y/n at the shoulder to make him stop telling funny stories . When they reached the entrance , y/n ordered a Uber for them .
"Ill take you to a good place for having lunch. You havent eat yet right ?"
"Yeah , sunbae- oppa. Yes , oppa. Im hungry now" Dont wanna lose to y/n braveness , Wonyoung step up the game and start calling y/n oppa instead of sunbaenim.
It is a lovely and fun day out for both of them . Y/n introduce her the best spot for lunch , the place that make the signature malatang of the city. After that , they went to the mall . Probably the hottest place among the teenager and students for hanging out. What amazed y/n is Wonyoung didnt drag him to makeup shop , or clothing retail shop. But instead keep pointing at the ice cream small booth , number of food chain places and gaming store.
"Yah Wonyoungie , you dont want to take a look at those stores ?? Usually teenager like you would want to go shopping ?"
"Eyyyy no oppa. I dont have any plans to buy anything anyway. I just want to play and walked around with you" Then she stopped. Hitting herself at the forehead . She realized that she accidentally said something that lowkey expressed her feelings to y/n . To cover up , she come up with an excuse
"ah , i mean , do they have an arcade here , oppa? Is the game here fun? "
"of course there are arcade here. it is at the top level. Let's go ". Y/n got the signal. He dont wanna lose.
He gathered his courage , then he reach out to hold Wonyoung hand.
Wonyoung didnt think much , she grabbed his hand immediately . She linked her fingers , and hug his hand.
"Yes- Lets.. go oppa!"
Ignoring all the people at the mall , they walked like a couple. The arcade is on the top floor , just one floor above them but y/n intentionally took the further route. Just to talk with Wonyoung more. To hold her longer , cherishing her embrace. He concluded his feelings. He like her , he loved her. She is perfect for him. Bubbly , cute , friendly and she doesn't act like other girl. Y/n already planned another dozens date he wanna do with Wonyoung. At the other side , Wonyoung have a simpler thought. She belong to y/n now. They are in love , that's it , period. Closed her heart for those boys in university that already try to get close to her. When they got to the arcade , they play almost every game machine they can find. Fighting game , racing game , candy claw machine , dancing floor thingy. Everything. Everything are fun as long as they are together.
"Woah , what is that oppa ?"
" That is a karaoke booth , Wonyoung ah. well i called it toilet karaoke booth because it is small. Maybe can only fit two persons in there "
"Its fascinating. I never see one back at LA."
" You wanna sing few songs ??"
"Nah , Im fine oppa HAHAHAHA. singing is not one of my skills "
They both laughed at what Wonyoung said.
"Ah! I just remembered. Wonyoung , do you want to visit my grandma ? I mean technically not my grandma but it is about one of the social project that our club had been working on currently. If you want to , i can bring you there. ".
"Of course i want , oppa. I want to join the project too so maybe ill learn from you first "
Y/n are superbly excited to bring Wonyoung to meet Mdm Jang. Coincidentally , it is already 3pm , already the visiting hour at the hospital where Mdm Jang is at. After few more games , y/n took Wonyoung straight to the hospital.

Y/n and Wonyoung arrived at the hospital and went to Mdm Jang ward right away but the situation looks unusual.
The hallway is busy.
Nurses are running here and there.
Some were yelling and some are pushing trolly down the hallway.
"Faster Mrs Jung In . The doctor need it now !"
Y/n rarely meet a doctor near Mdm Jang ward because the patients located there is not having any serious illness. So its quite seldom to see one during visiting hour. Y/n not wanting to interrupt the hectic situation , so he bring Wonyoung to the nearby bench and wait patiently.
After the condition settled down , Y/n approach the nurse at the front table.
Wonyoung just sit at the bench looking at y/n talking to the nurses. His face look serious. He walked back and forward, wandering with a worried look. She never see Y/n being this serious before , which scare her. Suddenly , a male doctor walk out from Mdm Jang ward. With a stern look , he explained something to y/n .
"I wish nothing bad happened...." Wonyoung said to herself.
"Wonyoung ! Come here , lets get in " y/n beckoned her over while holding on the door to keep it open.
As they enter , luckily Mdm Jang is still awake. But she look weaker than before. Her silver hair are messier and more things are patched to her chest. Y/n slowly greet her , trying to sound cheerful to avoid giving shock to Mdm Jang.
"Grandma , hye .... Im sorry im quite late today. How are you now grandma? Im... Im worried .." y/n cannot hold his tears anymore , he started crying while holding his grandma's hand. He buried his face on the bed and start weeping .
"Sorry kid. Just a small matter. I forgot to take my medicine , im a bit late. Then suddenly i cant breath so I called the nurse right away. " Mdm Jang stop for awhile , while staring at Wonyoung , who are standing at the end of the room near the door .
"Who is this pretty girl? Aaaaaa right "that" pretty girl , the one y/n told me before. Is this her ? Wonyoung?"
Wonyoung smiled back at Mdm Jang and bow politely. She then walked towards the bed to introduce herself.
"Aaaa grandma ! dont tell her about that!"
y/n lifted up her head, wiped his tear and snort. Feeling embarrassed , he then stood up and give the seat to Wonyoung , telling her to sit down.
" Grandma , she is part of the club too so i think i can bring her here too , to met you "
Then a nurse walked in , with a file on her hand.
"Mdm Jang , this is your new pills. I placed this here okay? Take this on a daily basis and it will help you feel better ". After placing the bottle of pills on the bedside table , the nurse walked out back.
Out of blue , Wonyoung's eyes widened. She reached to Mdm Jang's arm and hold it tightly.
"Mdm.... Jang?? Your family name is Jang ? "
"Yes , kid. Jang Aera . Why? "
Wonyoung suddenly gasped and covered her mouth. She know that name . From behind , y/n take a look at her. Her shoulder start moving upward and downward , her head bowing down , looking at the floor . she sounds like she is crying.
"Wonyoungie , why? you re okay?"
Ignoring y/n questions , Wonyoung then look up and asked Mdm Jang
"Is there , by any chance ....you have a daughter that moved to America .....and get married ? " Wonyoung stuttered as she is still crying
Mdm Jang are shocked by what she said. She have , indeed. Her daughter moved to America , leaving her just to get married with a businessman.
"Ye- yes... how did you know that ?"
Wonyoung then got up and hugged Mdm Jang. Not briefly but for a few more seconds. She then cupped her cheeks and kissed her by the forehead.
"Im sorry Grandma . Im very sorry..." Wonyoung sudden apologize make y/n and Mdm Jang confused.
Wonyoung then calmed herself down , wiping her cheek and sit straight back.
" oppa , do you remember when i said i came here to look for someone. I was looking for my grandmother.. My mom... She left her to marry my dad. After i knew about it , i insist on coming here. My parents are against it but i fight them back and came here at my own risk" She stopped for awhile and look at Mdm Jang
"Luckily I did. and i met you oppa. Turns out , it was a destiny indeed"
"Won.... young.. my kid , my grand child!" Mdm Jang cries her heart out and hugged Wonyoung back. Despite still bamboozled about the whole thing that just happened , y/n is more than happy now.
"Wonyoung ah , have a talk with you grandma okay? ill leave both of you for awhile and wait outside" not wanting to disturb the emotional meeting , y/n went outside and wait at the bench. After the long and tiring date , hectic situation at the ward , y/n lightly sighed as he lean back at his seat. He slowly fell asleep while sitting down.
"Oppa , oppa... wake up" Wonyoung shook his should softly , waking y/n up from his short nap.
"Sorry oppa. We had so much fun talking , that I forgot about you. Lets say goodbye to grandma and then we go back home. Its almost 5, the visiting hour is up"
Still not fully awake , y/n nod and then walked to the ward , meeting Mdm Jang.
"y/n... Thank you so much ,dear. You took care of me , who knows you actually took care of my grandchild to. We met because of you y/n ah. Aigoo my lovely grandchild" Mdm Jang then stroke y/n hair and hugged him tightly , not wanting to let them go.
After bidding goodbye , Wonyoung and y/n exit the ward .
" Wow , a lot of things happen today right , Wonyoung ah. First , we have a .... hmm.. date ?? Then we suddenly figure out that grandma is the one that you have been looking for. Hmphh ' He sighed
"i wonder what else could happen after this..."
"Maybe this happened.." Wonyoung shyly respond , grab y/n hand and once again linked their fingers. This time , she rub their linked hand with her other hands , softly then pulled it close to her. She put her head on y/n shoulder and shrugging it.
"Right? day1?" Without any side asking or confessing , Wonyoung already declared that its their day 1 . Day 1 of being in love ....
