Riley's Pov
I woke up tangled in Harrison's arms and had no idea how it happened. I didn't know how to feel at this moment in time as all the events from last night came rushing back. I moved closer to Harrison embracing his warmth and comfort. I've never cuddled guy before, well like a guy my age. Yes I've cuddled my brothers but that's sibling love you know, This is something different. For some reason that i had no idea why, i felt safer right now with him than I'd ever felt before.
While he was still asleep i noticed his facial features more. His jawline was sharp but the skin surrounding it was soft and golden, so was the rest of his skin. I was jealous of his eyelashes, they were longer than mine. His cheek bones were defined and they were amazing. Wait did i just say that, what the hell.
"Staring's rude" Harrison mumbled with his eyes still closed. It scared me because i wasn't expecting it.
"what, what do you mean, i wasn't staring." I said quickly.
"Hmm sure, do i get to stare at you?" He opened his eyes, revealing these mesmerizing blue eyes.
"If you really want, but i get to close my eyes too." A slight smile appeared on my face.
"Fine by me, even though your eyes are really pretty."
I closed my eyes surprisingly not feeling awkward. I felt a hand near to my face and i quickly opened my eyes in fear.
"I'm sorry." He said quietly as he took his hand away.
I reached out for the hand he moved and slowly edged it closer to my face until he took control again. He gently tucked my hair behind my ear and kept his hand close to my head. His hand was warm as he started to stroke over my ear.
"You have small ears." He smiled.
"Everyone says i have big ears." I replied looking away from his gaze.
"Well have they ever seen your ears up close?"
"No." I spoke quietly again.
"They can't judge them then."
We kept long eye contact for a while starting into each others eyes, until someone knocked on the door.
"Hey Harrison you need to-" Rocky walked in and stopped in shock when he saw me. "Shit sorry."
"I was just getting up anyways." I smiled faintly as i got out of the bed and walked passed Rocky.
"Libby is downstairs." Rocky said with a smile. I smiled back in response.
I walked down the stair case and headed to the kitchen to make myself a cup of tea. I could never survive a day without a morning bru.
After i had made it, i headed to where i could hear Libby talking with someone. I sat down at the table with Libby and Ellie who was still here.
"Where were you, i thought we were sharing a room?" Libby said sounding worried.
"I was with Harrison." I said quietly.
Both girls eyes widened and a smile formed on there face. They were thinking the wrong thing though, i wasn't with Harrison because we made out or whatever. He saved me.
"Ooooooo why where you with Harrison." Ellie asked while sipping her coffee.
"It's complicated." I sipped on my own drink, looking down not wanting to show my eyes.
All the shitty thoughts came rushing back all at once and it was overwhelming. I zoned out while Libby and Ellie were talking, and i couldn't zone myself back in no matter how hard i tried. Flashbacks came flooding back from all those time i was scared to tell him no, and all the things he did. It made me feel so worthless to everyone and everything that all he saw me as was a body he could take advantage of. He made me insecure and last night just heightened all the feelings i had with myself. Sad and Numb feelings.
I was snapped back to reality when i heard the door close and Ellie gone.
"Where did Ellie go?" I asked.
"She said she was having a cigarette." Libby responded.
I remembered the joint i had slipped into my pocket when i left the room. Ellie would have a lighter.
"I'm gonna get some fresh air." I got out of my seat and quickly walked to the door as Libby said okay in response. I closed the door behind me.
"Hey Riley." Ellie said with a cigarette resting between her fingers.
"Question, can i use your lighter and can you not tell Harrison or Libby?" I sat down next to her on the same bench i sat last night when Brandon gave me this exact joint.
"Sure, but if they find out i'll pretend i didn't know." She handed me the Purple lighter and i took it with my left hand as i pulled out my joint from my pocket with my right hand.
"Holy shit Riley. Weed?" She whispered the last word making sure no one heard.
"Trust me, i need it with all the shit I'm trying to deal with." I lit it up as i held it in my mouth. When it was lit i took a long breath in and soon realise that was a mistake when i started coughing.
"First timer?" Ellie asked.
"Is it that obvious?" I replied through coughs.
"So what happened?" She took a puff of her own cigarette.
"I don't really want to talk about it." I said shyly.
"I understand, just remember you can always talk to me. I've been told I'm pretty good at advice."
"I'll keep that in mind."
Ellie put out her fag and walked back in side, smiling at me as she went. I stayed outside for a bit longer while i finished. I was already feeling the effects of the weed, I was definitely lightheaded.
I stood up after the joint was finished and stumbled but the wall was there to catch me. I slowly walked to the door and opened it when i got there, welcomed with everyone. Rocky, Harrison, Ellie and Libby.
I tried my hardest to walk straight. I only had to walk a few meters without making myself look like an idiot until i got to my chair. I successfully managed to get to my chair and sit down without drawing too much attention to myself. I was so thirsty that i downed my cup of tea which was now Luke warm.
I looked up to see Harrison staring at me curiously with lowered eyebrows. Please tell me he doesn't know.
