"Can you zip me up," I asked caiden it was around five and we wear getting ready for dinner if I have to say I was nervous caiden is nervous too as well I can see him trying to suppress his anger
caiden was wearing a black short-sleeve shirt with black pants and of course black shoes he has an obsession with black if you couldn't tell I start to have a habit of wanting to match him so I was wearing a black long sleeve bodysuit with red bottom heels
"what do you think we're gonna talk about," he asked me trailing his hands up my back "um I dont know probably the elephant on the room," I stated the obvious
"no shit cora," he sighed out I turn around and laid my head on his chest as he wrapped his hands around me "it gonna be okay im gonna be by your side the whole time," I told him I feel like he needed it
"I know it still pisses me off,"
"I know but please best behavior there will be children there," I remind him even though I still know he gonna piss someone off tonight
dealing with caiden anger is like dealing with my father and brothers their anger is a whole different level so I have to tame them half the time
I went to do my hair and makeup and finishing touches before we left out, we were in the car now driving there I felt him getting more tensed the closer we got to the house
we arrived at the house no and sat in the car I had to drag him out of the car just to stand infornt of the door "you owe me a good night after this," he sighed out
"I will give you three good nights if you behave," I said while shrugging his shoulder making him smirk I leaned up to him "and if your extra good I might even give you something else," I whispered in his ear making him shudder
"I can't promise that darling but I will figure something out," he smirked I love him
I knocked at the door and put his hand in my squeezing it tight the door opened and we came in contact with Clarissa and Scott
"you guys made it come on it," Scott said I could see the pain look in Clarissa's eyes as she looked at caiden, he had his cold look in his eyes
we walked in, their house was pretty large it was beautiful inside there were pictures of their kids all over caiden stopped and looked at one of them we should have never come, my heart hurt looking at this pain look in his eyes
we walked into the living and took a seat on the couch as they sat across from us
"um dinner will be ready soon I hope you like chicken or if you dont we can order or make something else," Clarissa mumbled out her face beat red I can tell she was nervous
"no, that fine we will eat it," I said I guess I should do most of the small talk since I dont think we're getting anything out of caiden
I heard small footsteps run down the steps and those two kids ran into the living room full of excitement "cora your here with caiden," ares yelled out running over to us
ares has taken a liking into caiden and I mean after all they are brothers but I have a feeling there full brothers he eight and his mother left eight years ago and they look identical
"hello ares," caiden said shaking ares hand with a small smile "hi why did you leave yesterday I wanted to play with you more," ares asked him with a small pout
"im sorry kid I had to handle something we can play now what do you want to play," he asked him pulling ares into his lap
"let play cars I love cars," ares said making me and caiden smile he so good with kids even when he pissed off
they started playing cars and the little girl I never learned her names walked over to me "hello what your name," I asked her she had to be around five or four
"my name anna," she said with a smile showing me her missing two front teeth "hi im cora," I said I watched as she tries to sit on my lap I picked her up placing her on my lap
bouncing her with my knee "can you play dollies with me," she asked me and I nodded as I kid I loved playing dolls as a kid I had a whole set of American girl dolls
she jumped off me and ran to get two dolls and just at my guess she brought two American girl dolls making me smile they were a new generation
we played dolls and I would be lying if I said I wasn't having fun because I was I enjoyed it very much
"um but Taylor I want to go to the cafe," I said talking to anna doll my name was Emma "but Emma I said we can't," anna said moving the doll around
"Are you having fun," caiden asked me I looked at him to see him smirking at me while recording me I placed the doll down and stood, and tried to snatch the phone out of his hands
"that not funny caiden if you share that with anyone I will hurt you," I threaten him he gave me a soft laugh
"calm down women this is for my own entertainment," he said and I smiled at him I walked away from him and finished playing with anna
but as soon as I got back she said she didnt want to play anymore so I just watch caiden play with ares watching them side by side made my heart melt he was so cute with him he seemed calmer now that Clarissa wasn't in the room
she came in and told us dinner was ready so we all went in the dining room with caiden on my left and the kids on the other side and Clarissa and Scott at the two head of the table
the room was so quiet it was making me nervous you could hear a pin drop "so um cora how old are you," Scott asked me breaking the silence
"I just turn eighteen um you have a beautiful home," I said softly before taken a sip of my water
"oh thank you would you like something to drink," he asked getting up towards the kitchen "do you have scotch," caiden asked suddenly
I smacked his arm as Scott look pretty confused "im gonna need a glass if I have to sit here all night," he sighed out and I rolled my eyes
"um you not old enough to drink," Clarissa said and he rolled his eyes "I been drinking since I was sixteen im sure I can handle a glass of scotch," caiden said coldly
"um okay one glass of scotch and cora will you like anything," Scott asked me he looked pretty nervous
"no thank you," I said and he nodded "I still dont think you should be drinking," Clarissa said and caiden laughed but it was cold and dry oh lord it getting started
"and who are you to tell me what to do," caiden asked plainly "um Scott matter of tack I take a drink to," I yelled from the table
"im sorry I shouldn't be in your business," she said sadly
we ate dinner and when we were done we went to the living room to talk about the big elephant in the room while Scott put the kids to bed
"caiden I never wanted to leave you," Clarissa said and caiden scoffed
"then why you left me and raven alone with that man,"
"I know and I never wanted to I wish I could go back but I couldn't, I found out I was pregnant again with ares and I couldn't say with your father anymore or have another child go through everything we went through," she said
"you left on my birthday I had to find out my mother was dead on my birthday I never wanted to celebrate my birthday again I had to take care of raven and endure the beatings from him," caiden said I watch the pure regret in Clarissa's eyes
"im so sorry if I could take it all back I would," she said softly "how is raven and your father," she asked softly again
"he married again and he having children with his new wife and raven she fine she grew up beautiful and smart she going to a boarding school soon but is home for vacation," caiden said not telling too many details
"that good you seem to be happy or so," Clarissa asked him, caiden took a small glance at me and nod
I wanted to give them more time to talk so I excused myself and went to the bathroom as I was finished going to the bathroom I walked down the halls looking at the photos ares look so much like caiden you would think they are twins
I understand now ares is caiden full brother which means Mr, black has a son and he doesn't even know it makes sense Clarissa was so scared of him I knew he gave me bad vibes it makes my blood boil that he even laid a hand on caiden
I went back into the living room and they were just looking at each other it like they didnt say a word after I left
"How did you do it I mean there was a body in that casket I saw it so how are you here right now," caiden asked after ten minutes
"I had helped a family friend actually he helped me out I dont know what he did but he made sure I was dead but caiden just know I never wanted to hurt you or raven I just needed to get out of there," Clarissa said
"who was it," I asked the curiosity getting the best out of me
