"YES!!!" they both shouted seeing the second line forming on the stick.
Gauri turns to look at Omkara and he was looking at her excitedly.
She hugs him happily, "We are having a baby!" Gauri says excitedly as she slightly hopped.
"Don't. No jumping." Omkara says worried and she quickly stops.
"Thank you, Om." Gauri says smiling at him with happy tears and he leans down and takes her lips in his kissing her.
"You are happy right?" Gauri asks him.
"Yes." Omkara tells her smiling, "maybe not as happy as you but I am very happy."
Gauri smiles in relief, Omkara was not very keen on having a baby so quickly as he worried it would affect her studies and she had promised him to keep continuing her studies and he had given in two months back.
"I love you, Om." Gauri tells him cupping his face and he smiles at her.
They rarely said I love you-s after that night they got married again, they knew they loved each other and it was enough for them.
"Do you think we should go see a doctor and confirm again?" Gauri asks suddenly nervous.
"Yes. After that we'll inform everyone at home." Omkara tells her smiling.
Evening after they get back from the doctor they decide to call up Tej and Jhanvi. Gauri keeps looking at Omkara while he kept looking at her.
"What?" Gauri asks him curiously.
"What?" Omkara asks confused.
"Why aren't you calling Dad and Mom?" Gauri asks confused.
"Me? you are the one who calls them right?"
"Yes... but how can I call them up and say, hello Dad... Your son got me pregnant?"
"You know, Dad doesn't talk to me."
"But I can't tell anyone." Gauri says blushing.
Omkara sighs dramatically and takes her phone and calls Tej.
"Hello Gauri?" Tej picks up on the first ring.
"Er... Dad this is me." and Tej hangs up the phone.
Omkara sighs and looks at Gauri. "Call again."
Omkara calls again and the same thing happens again. "Call once more."
"Gauri, I am going to get upset if he hangs up on me again. I don't want to be upset on this day." Omkara calmly tells her.
"Okay... then you call Papa now." Omkara dials Harshvardhan's number from his cell and he picks up the call.
"Omkara." Harshvardhan picks the call with a smile.
"Hello Papa..."
"How are you, Omkara?"
"I am good, Papa. How are you?"
"Good... good."
"How is Mama?"
"Tell him!" Gauri whispers to him excitedly.
Omkara glares at her.
"She is fine. She is here, do you want to talk to her?"
"No... no... I wanted to tell you something."
"Me? What?"
"Actually both of you." Omkara says nervous and slightly embarrassed.
"I have put you on speaker. What is it?" Harshvardhan asks slightly worried.
"Is everything alright there, Omkara?" Nayantara asks him worried.
"Yes... yes... everything is great here."
"Then?"
"Just tell him!" Gauri tells him glaring at him.
"I am telling them!" Omkara tells her irritated.
"What is it?" Harshvardhan asks hearing Gauri's voice.
"Oh God! Just tell him Om!"
"Then you do it." Omkara tells her pissed.
"No... no... you tell him." Gauri says in a contrite voice.
"Papa... the thing is..."
"What is?"
"Gauri and I..." Omkara swallows as he tried to tell him the big news.
"You both what?"
"Gauri..."
"Gauri?"
"I am..."
"What is it, Omkara?" Harshvardhan asks losing patience.
"Just say it, Om!" Gauri says hands on hips.
"First time I am going to be a father, so please forgive me if I am nervous." Omkara tells Gauri glaring at her.
"What?" Harshvardhan and Nayantara shouts in shock.
"Ah Damn!" Omkara realizes that they heard.
"Omkara... is Gauri...?" Nayantara starts and Omkara finishes for her, "Pregnant."
"Oh my God!" Nayantara says happily.
"She is fine right?" Harshvardhan asks.
"Yes, she is fine." Omkara says as he smiled at Gauri who was blushing uncontrollably now. He wanted to ask her parents whether they wanted to talk to her but he didn't as he was scared they might say no and that would hurt Gauri.
"Take care of her, okay?"
"Sure, Papa."
"How many months is it now?" Nayantara asks him.
"7 weeks." Omkara tells her.
A few minutes later he hangs up the phone.
"You should have told Papa to inform Dad and Mom." Gauri tells him.
"I didn't think of that." Omkara tells her.
"Hmmm why don't you try calling Dad once more?" Omkara sighs and dials his number and it was engaged.
"Engaged." Omkara informs her.
"Maybe Papa is talking to him now." Gauri tells him smiling.
"Maybe." Omkara replies then he tries his number again, he wanted to tell his family.
This time the call goes through and Tej picks up the call, "Hello, Om?"
"Dad." Omkara says smiling.
"Yeah tell me."
"I miss you all." Omkara tells him melancholy, talking to his father after all these months.
His father grunts in reply.
"I wanted to tell you something."
"Yeah, Harshvardhan asked me to call you as you wanted to tell me something. What is it?"
"That..."
"That?" Taking a deep breath, he finally says smiling, "Dad, you are going to be a dadaji."
When Tej doesn't say anything for a while, Omkara worriedly asks, "Dad you there?"
"Come home, both of you." Tej tells them sounding very emotional.
Next day morning
"Om! Gauri!" Jhanvi knocks on the door calling out to them.
"Good Morning, Mom!" Omkara wishes her half sleepily as he opened the door.
"Good Morning... both of you come down." Jhanvi tells him smiling and starts to walk off.
"Mom!" Omkara calls out to her.
"Haan?"
"I missed you." Omkara tells her smiling at her.
"Even I missed you." Jhanvi tells him ruffling his hair lovingly. Then sniffing she says, "Come down."
"Who was it?" Gauri asks as she came out of the bathroom after her bath.
"Mom... she is calling us down." Omkara tells her.
"It is nice to be back home, right?" Gauri asks smiling as she sits on the bed wiping her hair, they had got home last night.
"It is." Omkara says smiling as he put his hands on her shoulders lazily interlocking his fingers on her nape.
"I was thinking... maybe, we'll go to my house today." Gauri tells him looking at him hopefully.
"We will." Omkara tells her smiling.
Omkara and Gauri were walking down when Omkara spots her first.
"ANIKA!" Omkara shouts out excitedly and runs down towards her. Anika smiles seeing him running towards her and gasps when he hugs her.
"Thanks for running away." Omkara tells her.
"I ran away from Shivaay so that I could marry you, Omkara." Anika tells him looking all sad.
Omkara looks at her in shock and then says, "We should have coordinated properly. Damn! Now, I am already booked for the next seven births... maybe the one after that?"
"We have a deal." Anika tells him laughing.
"Di!" Gauri calls out to her and Anika and Omkara turns to look at her. Gauri had tears in her eyes as she walked towards her sister.
Anika happily hugs Gauri, "It's okay, Gauri. I forgave you long back."
"Sorry, di."
"Shivaay is still mine and you are happily married. So we all are happy." Anika tells her smiling.
Gauri looks at Omkara and then turns to Anika and asks for Omkara, "Where is Shivaay?"
"He didn't know you two were coming. He'll be here in a while." Anika tells her smiling.
"Did you two?" Gauri asks hesitantly.
"Not without you both." Anika says smiling.
Gauri hugs her sister.
"Now, tell me this... is it a nephew or niece?" Anika asks her keeping her hand on Gauri's stomach.
"We are hoping for a niece." Gauri tells her blushing as she looked at Omkara.
"Niece... I like that. Since, I am going to be her chachi cum maasi, I got her Mama a present." Anika says smiling.
"What present?" Gauri asks smiling curiously.
Anika points towards behind Gauri and she turns back to find her parents there.
"Papa! Mama!" Gauri screams happily and runs to them. Gauri throws herself at Harshvardhan's open arms and starts crying. "I am sorry, Papa."
"It's okay, puppet." Harshvardhan gently consoles her.
"We are just happy that you and Omkara are happy together now." Nayantara with a smile gently caresses Gauri's hair with tears in her eyes.
Gauri turns to look at Nayantara. "Mama..." Gauri hugs her as she cries.
"Gauri..." Omkara gently calls her as she continued to cry. Gauri turns to look at him. "Stop crying... it's not good for the baby." Omkara gently tells her.
Nodding Gauri wipes her tears then turning to her parents she happily smiles at them.
They all were talking when they suddenly heard Shivaay's voice, "Gauri! My Love!!!"
Gauri and Omkara looks up in shock to see Shivaay running to her with his arms wide open. Gauri gets up smiling and he hugs her happily, "I thought you'll divorce him and come to me and you came back pregnant? Is this your love?" Shivaay asks her faking heartbreak.
Gauri starts laughing hearing that, "You shouldn't have run away. You, loser!"
Shivaay keeps his hand over his heart, "Yes, I lost you and that too to my little brother. Why this cruelty God? Why?"
Gauri starts laughing, "You are still so adorable, Shivaay!"
"You shouldn't be praising me in front of your husband." Shivaay tells her in a loud whisper though he eyes were dancing with mirth. Gauri turns to look at Omkara and sees him looking at Shivaay with a happy smile and tells Shivaay, "We missed you, Shivaay."
"And we all missed you both." Shivaay says as he cupped her face.
Shivaay turns to Omkara and with a brotherly smile he says, "Om..." and that was all that was needed for them as Omkara hugs him. "I am sorry."
"Everything worked out for the best. So no regrets." Shivaay tells him.
Everyone were sitting and as they filled in on Omkara and Gauri on everything.
"Did you two plan and run away?" Omkara asks Shivaay and Anika.
"Hmmm depends." Shivaay tells Omkara as he walked towards the couch Gauri and Omkara were sitting, and sits on the armrest with his leg on the couch.
"Depends on what?" Omkara asks confused.
"Depends on whether you want to believe that your brother was this super smart ass who knew that you were better suited for each other and planned the run away with Anika or whether you want to believe that I am the ever sacrificing loving brother who ran away." Shivaay tells him. "So what do you want?"
"I can't love you more even if it is either of these. So I guess the truth." Omkara tells him.
"Oh!" Shivaay says disappointed, "then it is the sacrificing brother."
"We can't believe you guys did that for us." Omkara says looking at Anika and Shivaay.
"We'll never forget that." Gauri tells them.
"Wait till you hear what all we did for you." Anika says with a wink.
"What?" Gauri asks shocked.
"We will tell you from the beginning." Shivaay starts.
"Anika and I used to always say that the first trip after our wedding should be to Shimla... so when I ran away from here, I ran to Shimla... and guess who I saw at the airport waiting to collect her luggage?"
"Di?" Gauri asks shocked.
"10 points to Gauri." Shivaay says laughing. "So we called up Dad and Papa to find out what had happened here and we find out..."
"That we got married." Omkara says.
"10 points to Om."
Omkara rolls his eyes.
"Then, came the bomb that Gauri has asked for a divorce!" Shivaay says shocked, "After all that your nerve, Gauri Sharma!"
"Gauri Omkara Singh Oberoi." Gauri corrects him cheekily.
"Oh yeah! By the way later, please tell me why your wife thinks that GO Events stands for Great Oberois Events. We laughed the whole day hearing that." Shivaay tells Omkara.
"Because it stands for Great Oberois." Gauri says frowning and she turns to look at Omkara.
Omkara with a dramatic sigh turns to Anika and says, "Look what you made me marry."
"What? It is not that?" Gauri asks Omkara shocked.
"Nope... let's continue the story." Omkara says brushing her off.
"Then what is it?" Gauri asks confused.
"Later, love." Omkara tells her and turns to Shivaay.
"Okay, so both the Daddy-s freaks out. But then we calm them down. Then Anika and I brainstormed and came up with the perfect plan." Shivaay says proudly.
"Throw us out of the house." Omkara says shocked.
"10 points to Om again... Yup... Papa was stubborn but then he gave in quickly but Dad... I didn't even know he could hold his ground for that long." Shivaay says shocked. "He was adamant not to send his baby and his new wife out of the house."
"Really?" Omkara asks then turns to look at Tej who was looking down embarrassed.
"But what made you think that Gauri would come with me?" Omkara asks shocked.
"Anika was so sure that Gauri will not abandon you." Shivaay tells him.
"And she turned out right."
"So you told Dad and Mom to not talk to me and Papa and Mama to not talk to Gauri?" Omkara asks him.
"Well, yes... so if you wanted to keep in touch with your parents then you had to do it through the other, and we thought that would bring you two closer and also we wanted to have our revenge too." Shivaay says shrugging.
The parents were talking when Shivaay leans towards Omkara and asks in a whisper, "So Om... now that you both are here in your room."
Omkara turns to him with a curious look.
"How does it feel to sleep in a big bed?"
"Like sleeping in two different cities." Omkara mutters then he looks up at Shivaay and whispers in shock, "Bed? How did you know about that?"
"What? What?" Gauri asks quickly as she leaned on to Omkara with all interests realizing they were talking secrets.
"She hasn't changed a bit... has she?" Shivaay asks shocked.
"No." Omkara says smiling as he looked at her.
"What are you three talking about?" Anika asks curiously as she walked towards them.
"Bed." Shivaay tells her with a wink.
"Ah bed! That was his idea." Anika says chuckling and slightly blushing.
"She is so stupid... she felt that wouldn't work... but didn't that play a biiig part?" Shivaay asks cheekily.
"I am not going to answer that." Omkara says turning slightly pink.
"See... I told you... that wouldn't fail." Shivaay turns to Anika confidently.
"What bed?" Gauri asks confused.
"Our bed." Omkara tells her.
"What about it?" Gauri asks thoroughly confused.
Omkara turns to look at her with a loving smile, she was such an innocent if they were alone he would have kissed her senseless.
Omkara sighs. "How did you do that?" Omkara asks Shivaay.
"Well, Dad called up the day after your wedding crying that you both are not going to work out as he saw that you had slept on the couch. So... without them finding out I took care of it." Shivaay says winking.
"You did?" Gauri asks confused.
"Didn't you two ever wonder why there were so many single seaters and no three seaters? Or why you had so many cupboards? And a tiny little bed?" Shivaay asks chuckling.
Omkara bursts out laughing hearing that remembering all that had happened because of the small cot. "Shivaay, my brother... you are the best." Omkara says laughing.
They all were having lunch when Gauri asks "Di... when are you two getting married?"
"We were waiting for you two to come home." Anika tells them.
"We are thinking two weeks from now." Nayantara tells Gauri smiling.
"Two weeks?" Omkara asks shocked.
"Is there a problem?" Shivaay asks confused.
"Gauri can't travel up and down like that." Omkara tells him worried.
"You are going back?" Tej asks shocked.
"Yes, Dad." Omkara replies confused, they made their life there.
"But you just came back." Tej argues.
"I know, Dad... but I have some events I committed... Gauri has her college. My company is there" Omkara explains.
"Well join our office here."
"But Dad..."
"If you still want to do event management then start a company here... but you and Gauri are not going anywhere. We won't have you two stay away from us anymore." Tej says with finality.
"We made our life ther..." Gauri gently holds Omkara's hand and he turns to look at her.
"We will talk about this." Gauri tells him in a soft voice.
After lunch the moment they stepped into their room, Omkara turns to Gauri. "How can we just leave everything behind, Gauri?" Omkara asks her helplessly. "We worked really hard for that life."
"But we always missed our family there." Gauri gently reminds him.
"This time it is different. Now they are not angry with us, it is going to be fine. We can come home whenever we want and they can come visit us whenever they feel like." Omkara argues.
"Yes, Om but don't you think we owe our family this for putting them through everything?"
"But our life is there, Gauri."
"We will make our life here." Gauri tells him smiling.
"We'll have to start everything from scratch." Omkara says helplessly.
"Yes and we are going to be all the more successful." Gauri tells him smiling confidently.
"You want to stay here?" Omkara asks her sighing as he pulled her closer to him.
"I want to stay wherever you are happy."
"But, Gauri... I liked our life there."
"Even me... just the two of us... we had our privacy and it was our world."
"After living independently I don't think I can adjust back to living with my parents." Omkara tells her. "I love them but the independence we had..."
"I understand, Om." Gauri tells him smiling.
"How about we move back to Mumbai but live separately?" Omkara asks her.
"With more rooms to explore." Gauri says with a sexy smile.
"God nymph! You are pregnant!"
"Don't you know? During pregnancy the hormones go so wild that we get all the more horny?" Gauri asks him chuckling.
"When do you think that is going to happen?" Omkara asks her.
"Don't know."
"We should get our place ready before that." Omkara tells her grinning.
"So we are going to come back?"
"Yes... I'll talk to Dad about it and tell him that I want to move out." Omkara tells her.
Gauri smiles and leans up and kisses him on his cheeks.
"Gauri, I'll go back tomorrow and finish all my commitments till then will you stay here?" Omkara asks her. "I don't want you simply travelling that is why."
"Okay." Gauri tells him smiling.
"Di might need my help with her wedding also." Gauri tells him smiling.
"Yes, but don't over exert yourself." Omkara tells her.
Gauri smiles at him, "Om, I was wondering whether we could conduct Di and Shivaay's wedding. You know kanyadaan and gathbandan... what do you think?"
"Yes, because of us their marriage didn't happen and this time we will get them married." Omkara tells her smiling.
"We'll talk to Papa?"
"Yes, but not now, later. Now you sleep."
"Sleep?" Gauri asks shocked.
"Yes... remember what the doctor said? You can travel but you need to take proper rest. So now you are going to sleep." Omkara tells her as he gently helped her to the bed.
"I am not sleepy." Gauri protests.
"You close your eyes and lie down for some time."
"Just for a few minutes... I am not going to sleep okay?" Gauri tells him as she lies on the bed.
"Okay." Omkara smiles as he put the blanket over her.
"Om, you didn't tell me what GO stands for." Gauri says suddenly remembering.
Omkara smiles "Oh that... GO stands for..." he stops seeing that she had already slept off. He lovingly caresses her forehead. "I'll tell you another day, then..." Omkara softly whispers, "Gauri Oberoi."
