Morgana grunted as she fell forwards, managing to catch herself on her hands, blinking to come back to herself, she stood up dusting herself off and stared in shock at the burnt orange horizon, two suns hanging in the sky.

"No" she whispered in disbelief, how the hell had she landed on Gallifrey

"well that was quite the show," a male voice said, and she spun to stare at the man beneath the tree.

"well, as if I'd do anything less" Morgana replied tartly tossing her hair arrogantly

"and who are you?" the elderly man asked

"Morgana Mikaelson, Darling and you?" Morgana drawled unsure to who this was, she had not seen this man as the Doctor's regenerations perhaps he was a future one?

"I am The Hermit, and you are the Hybrid" the man replied simply, and Morgana glared

"Tribrid love and I have a name, which I told you" she replied testily

"Names don't matter only titles" The Hermit stated "and you have many but only one matter's here"

"I see why you're called The Hermit" Morgana snapped, and he laughed

"I can see why you're the prophesied one, you'll make for a good match to the lonely God" he mused staring up at her thoughtfully as he stroked his long beard

"prophecy?" she questioned hopping onto a boulder near him, staring at him in curiosity

"Matrix prophecies- a supercomputer, a micro-universe used by the High Council of the Time Lords as a storehouse of knowledge to predict future events- predicted that a hybrid creature, thought to be crossbred from two warrior races, would stand over the ruins of Gallifrey and unravel the Web of Time, breaking a billion, billion hearts to heal its own." He said staring at her

"well...that's certainly intriguing," Morgana said for lack of a better thing to say, "what is the web of time and why would I want to slaughter so many people?"

"it is the orderly structure of the universe's history, built and maintained by the Time Lords and well like I said, it's to heal your own" The Hermit replied

"hmm, seeing as how I live in the universe I don't see why I would want to destroy its history, I doubt I could truly understand the ramifications of such an action and while I have a penchant and talent for mass murder, I've never killed so many" she smirked in amusement

"you will" The Hermit replied ominously, and Morgana rose an eyebrow

"why would I do that?" she felt a chill down her spine

"lookup" he ordered and so she did, she took a second to admire the burnt orange sky, the two suns blazing but the beauty of it all was marred by the black box-like shapes dotting the sky.

"what are they? Satellites? She questioned

"Sky trenches" he answered

"so, the war is starting?" she looked at him

"already has" explosions then reverberated through the sky, Morgana's sensitive hearing was destroyed for a second, she quickly staggered to her feet, dust slicing against her skin like broken glass, flames wrenched across the sky.

She closed her sky, hands clamped over her ears as her eardrums healed, ringing through her head as she groaned "couldn't have given me more warning?"

"perhaps but if I was you, I'd hurry, the Daleks will be attacking the academy- look over the overhang, the academy is at the base of the mountain" he informed her

"why can't you help?" she demanded glaring at him

"I'm not here- oh and do go by the title The Hybrid" he replied his body shimmering out of existence

"bloody timelords" Morgana snarled as she stared murderously at the spot beneath the bare twisted tree, looking up she spotted the Daleks streaming from a large circular ship, jets of light shooting at each other as the timelords put up a defence, she thinned her lips before making a decision.

"billion, billon hearts eh? Better get started" she grinned manically, flitting over to the edge of the overhang, she looked down at the academy it was a tall, imposing building made of dark material, glass turrets and walkways covered the buildings connecting them, looking at the horizon a giant glass dome encased a city and Morgana stared at it in curiosity, that must be Arcadia, the capitol.

The sounds of battle from above got louder, so she quickly heads off using her true speed to run down the mountain, the part she was running down was covered with grey snow with the occasional blue flower poking out, it petered out into tall, long red grass.

She would stop to admire the violet clouds or the hovering flocks of air diamonds but the Daleks were getting closer, she could hear their cries of war as their green jets slammed into the forcefield and she pushed herself faster, she let out a surprised grunt as she fell over the edge of a sudden stop, her speed and momentum ensuring she was flung a fair distance, slamming into a hard wall, her ribs cracking.

"brilliant" she groaned scrambling to her feet and getting reoriented seeing the Daleks had managed to beat her to the academy, flames and smoke already covering the buildings as they mercilessly attacked, she glanced up at the sound of glass breaking, she saw a Dalek having broken a walkway above her a child clung to the serrated edges of the leftover glass, his scream of fear rend through the air, thinking quickly she slammed into the tower door and raced up the steps breaking another door and sliding on her knees to the little boy who was staring at her with wide terrified green eyes.

"it's alright, sweetheart" she quickly reassured lying down on her stomach, crawling carefully to the child, wary of the cracks and how much weight the glass walkway could take. "just keep your eyes on me, what's your name?" she asked seeing him whimper and his eyes darting over the place as the Daleks carried on their attack

"I-I haven't chosen my name yet" he answered

"what name were you thinking about?" she questioned her hand reaching out for the back of his red robes

"The Builder" he replied shakily

"sounds like a great title" she complimented and with a quick jerk, she grabbed him by the back of the robe, hauling him up and rolling over to a safer section of the glass walkway, the kid trapped beneath her body safely.

"t-thank you" he murmured

"quite alright little one" she assured standing quickly and hauling him to his feet, smoothly pushing him behind her back as she glared at the silver, gleaming Dalek with dark balls on the casing it was hovering at the edge of the broken walkway "when I move you run do you understand?" she questioned she felt him nod against the small of her back, his tiny hand letting go of her belt.

She snarled her eyes and fangs flashing as she leapt at the Dalek, it only getting out a cry of 'EXTERMINATE' she hung for a second before her hand lashed out and wrapped around the eyestalk as she kicked down at the gunstick at an angle bending it. She hissed angrily as it swivelled attempting to toss her off steeling herself she heaved with all of her thousand years of strength, feeling the metal creaking under her strength, the dome of the Dalek gave way and she tore it off, the top being tossed away she glared down at the octopus inside as it screamed up at her hatefully, reaching in she yanked it out, ignoring its cries of pain as the wires were ripped from its body. She tossed it away and leapt from the falling casing of the Dalek, hitting the ground with a roll, she leapt to her feet searching for her next target.

Morgana quickly fell into the old familiar routine of battle, her blood singing with the lust for war, she flitted throughout the battle, helping the children as they ran, taking shots from the Daleks to protect the lecturers trying to defend the school and call for back up and leaping onto the Daleks using her immense strength to tear them apart.

She panted lightly coming back to herself a while later, the orange sky had turned a fiery colour mimicking the bloodied scene below, she watched in detached interest as several bodies flared up in bright golden orange flames as they regenerated, her own scraps and cuts were healing but she felt the itch at the back of her throat which indicated she'd need to feed soon but she'd had helped successfully repel the Daleks but it was far from over.

She glanced up at the stomping of boots, standing to her feet she stared with faux casualness as a dark-skinned man stomped up to her, a severe look on his face and a futuristic gun clutched in his hands held tightly to his red armour.

He cocked his gun and pointed it at her "who are you? You're no timelord" he glared suspiciously which granted they were at war but still, a gun in her face? Rude.

"you're right I'm not a timelord but I am an ally" she replied

"what's your name?" he demanded

She hummed before deciding to do as The Hermit had requested "I'm the Hybrid darling" she grinned but quickly ducked as a familiar energy blast hit her ears, "that was rude" she pouted as she stood straight again.

"you have to give yourself up to the council for judgement" the timelord insisted

"yes, I think I'll pass on that one love" Morgana replied arching an eyebrow, what she had heard from the Doctor's grumblings he had never gotten along with the high council nor did she want to go near the Lord president.

"we're not giving you a choice" he snapped and the group surrounding him quickly cocked their guns, but Morgana had already fled the scene.

Quickly stopping she glanced around spotting a barn in the distance, she briefly considered fleeing to it but the city would provide more cover and a place for her to lay low, she quickly slipped into the back of a wagon to sneak into the city the sky had darkened and two moons rising over the horizon, the sky filled with stars, surprisingly peaceful despite the skirmish during the day.

She stayed quiet as the man stopped at the checkpoint peaking her head out a few minutes later and speeding away when the man was speaking to another woman.

Ducking into another back-alley Morgana groaned at the situation she seemed to have landed herself in

"I'm going to kill Kol when I get back" she muttered in annoyance as the chill snapped at her ankles, she glanced around as she headed towards a back door, thankfully it didn't seem to have any major security and she snapped the lock on the door, sliding into the darkened hallways, she had to get off the street.

She followed the dim hallways, her senses on high alert and body tense to react in a split second spotting some double doors up ahead she hurried through them and stared in interest, it seemed she had snuck into some kind of museum, she hurried over to one sign, a great lover of history but frowned when she realised it was in circular Gallifreyan, she glanced up at the circular tube thing curious to what it was, she heard a similar playful hum pressing up against her mind and she stepped back in shock.

"dear?" she questioned, fingertips reaching out towards her

The hum intensified and so she pressed her fingers lightly against the side of the TARDIS, a crack appearing causing the side to split in two and she pushed forward into the console room. She was bare and minimalistic apart from the central column in the room.

"you don't mind me hiding out here for a while do you?" she asked gently and received a happy hum in return. She grinned as the lights in the room directed her down a corridor and she was met with her own dark blue door "clever girl" she praised as she slipped into the room, slipping off her boots she laid down on the bed her hand slipping into her jacket pocket and smiling as she pulled out the blue iris, slightly shocked at the fact it had miraculously survived. She glanced over at the side table when a brief flash caught her eyes, smirking in amusement at the pile of blood bags.

"you really are a wonder aren't you dear?" she murmured, taking a bag and draining it before falling into a restful sleep knowing that Dear would keep her safe.

She jerked awake a while later, her eyes snapping open when she felt the TARDIS hum a warning in her mind "is it the Daleks?" she asked urgently and felt a confirming hum "are they already here?" another hum filled with urgency and warning "well then, seems they can't get enough of me" she smirked at the ceiling before she sat up, shoving her feet into her boots and heading out of the TARDIS, she knew Gallifrey was going to fall but maybe she could help a little.

She quickly snuck her way out of the building and towards the edges of the city where defenders were setting up, quickly set up in the thick of things, taking a gun and moving with a squad on the front lines. She grinned ferally as the battle began, the time lords clashing with the Daleks as she shot the gun at the oncoming enemy. Time passed quickly and she threw herself into the battle, killing as many Daleks she could and pulling time lords out of the way of killing shots, carrying the wounded and covering when a Time Lord would explode with regeneration energy.

They had to fall back again and again as the Daleks gained ground, eventually, they fell behind the final defences the forcefield up and the glass dome being reinforced, she took a second to use a water bottle and cloth to wipe at her hands, neck and face, blood and grime coming away, she was unsure how long she had been fighting but she was determined to carry on until she was whisked away once again.

A large smashing sound reverberated through the air and soon screams followed as glass fell from the sky with Daleks soon following.

Everything then fell into hell.

Civilian screams mixed with Daleks call's of extermination while soldiers fought valiantly, and children cried for their parents and safety. Morgana swore violently and tossed the gun that had been rendered useless, she slammed into the ranks of Daleks, having never been more thankful for her strength both revelling and shocked at the strain on her body- not having felt that for almost a thousand years.

She had half shifted, her eyes and fangs on display, nails turned claws, ears pointed and hair thick as fur. She left the scattered remains of Daleks in her path as she tore them apart ripping their casing out and flinging their insides away from her. Her movements were fluid and constant a tornado that tore her enemies apart, she would flit as quickly as possible towards the innocents picking up the young ones and speeding them away behind barricades before returning to slow down the constant onward march of the Daleks.

She didn't know how long she had been here fighting the inevitable but she had noticed the east side of the city held a large population of children hiding, having picked up on their whimpers and scenting their tears on the wind, mixed with the smoke of battle and iron of split blood. She planted herself and refused to move an inch taking on immense damage but learning that Daleks did, in fact, have blood and she could, in fact, drink it. It was fucking awful tasting like battery acid that she had to choke down and hold it down to keep from vomiting, the blood would heal her a bare minimum but it was much like eating rotten food and she despised it, so she took it out on them.

Reinforcements came to assist her but a flash of her demonic face usually sent them running, she was sure word had gotten out what she was and what she was doing- especially with the casings of the Daleks building up- but seeing as how she was fighting on their side, they hadn't attempted anything.

Morgana had fought in wars before, it was after all what humans did so well, hundred years war, the war of the roses, the thirteen years war eighty years wars, Queen Anne's war, WW1 and WW2.

while she still thought that humanity was the undecided victor when it came to warmongering the ability and technology afforded by Time Lords and the absolute hatred of the Daleks more than made up for everything.

Dancing out of the way of a bolt of energy from a Dalek before she could retaliate, looking over Morgana grinned.

"Hello Administrator" Morgana cooed mockingly "shouldn't there be some papers for you to push?"

He glanced at her out of the corner of his eyes, pushing up his glasses absently "Hybrid, your slowing down are you finally becoming ineffectual?"

"oh! your being meannnn" Morgana pouted as she picked up an abandoned gun and shot at the incoming cybermen- how they got dragged in, she didn't know.

"Merely telling the truth" The Administrator sniffed, hiding his tall body behind a building, they had ran into each other when Morgana had saved him- well, Her at the time, she had still regenerated due to the wounds inflicted but Morgana had saved her from her final death.

"I like it when your mean, do it again" Morgana playfully leered at him in amusement

"Then impress me, hybrid" The Administrator demanded with a smirk

"such hard work, try not to fall in love" Morgana blew him a kiss before flitting off, intent on bringing back a trophy for the timelord, he might die but at least she could bring him amusement before his final bow.

"Morgana! how beautiful you look covered in the blood of our enemies!" Warrior called with a bright beam as he chucked a large bomb that his husband, The Inventor had made, who was ducking behind with their wife, the Heart.

"Darling, you're handsome but I'm not interested in joining you three" Morgana laughed wildly as she watched the end of the street be consumed in fire and the screams of daleks.

"Oh" Heart pouted blinking up at Morgana with wide blue eyes

"We were discussing how powerful you are" Inventor grinned wildly as he set up another...gadget honestly the timelord made the Doctor seem sane at times. Or she just hadn't seen just how unhinged the Doctor could get.

"Yes I know how attracted you three are to power" Morgana snickered in amusement

"you say that like it is a bad thing!" Warrior piped in with a chuckle, sniping some daleks down from the sky.

"ah, with you four together, there is always a bad thing on the way" The Historians cool voice interrupted them and Morgana laughed

"Your just jealous I'm so desirable" Morgana teased in amusement, they arched an eyebrow back at her.

"I'd much rather my books, thank you" they huffed rolling their eyes

"So why are you out here?" Heart called out as she tended to one of her husbands who had a cut across his cheek

"those foul things burnt down a wing of my library" the historians face twisted in a furious snarl

"Ooh they've fucked up" Morgana sung in amusement as she stared at the historian who was always amusing when they waded into a fight, they disliked the entire war but when push came to shove they fought like hell.

Days and night passed and the city carried on crumbling around her, Morgana took a quick break as the flow of enemies stemmed for a moment. Looking around stood on the rubble of a destroyed building a fire burning near her- how long had Morgana been stuck on Galifrey, fighting in a war that only had one end? doubling over She groaned as she felt that flash of light and pain again and spun her eyes weary and stance ready, her eyes had changed to the hybrid molten gold and she was prepared for an attack.

A/N:

Alright, so hopefully this chapter is a lot better but it is also a lot shorter I hope you can forgive that but this chapter is nigh on a total original, there is a Time Lord called The Hermit, who would tell stories to young Gallifreyeans and the academy is located at the bottom of the mount Lung which was tipped with grey snow.

Anyways I'm still trying to sort out the legal stuff (can't say anything yet) but hopefully it'll be done soon and we can get back on track! Doctor and Morgana will be reunited next chapter (which is Kol's POV)

I don't own anything
