this happened twice in Demo's life.
TWICE.
she's not letting him die again.
Demo was healing Burt, although he been breathing very slowly.
Sarah watched as Demo healed her brother, who to be in a slumber.
Burt's wound seemed to be disappearing by the minute but Demo's anger can't be healed.
or her sadness.
she has the urge to turn all the toppats into ashes.
and that's what she wants to do to.
"we move from this area.. now." Demo voice snapped, causing her growl.
Burt is fine, he's breathing perfectly, he's not gonna die anytime soon.
but Demo's anger has been raised.
Sven picks Burt up, carrying him.
Demo then walks away from the abandoned place, hearing something tick.
she smiled as she heard the word "bomb"
they were already almost far from there.
far so no one outside the place could be injured.
the place exploded.
some of the toppats survived, but most of them are dead.
they were still walking away from the burnet area, clearly not wanting to rest anytime soon.
the whole trip has been silent, and Demo seemed to be calming down.
only a bit.
Burt is still asleep, what Demo is thinking, Burt is most likely to wake up at some point in midnight.
oh she can't wait till he does.
plus, Demo would only sleep for 3 seconds if she could.
night finally arrived, leaving them to stop.
they stopped in a felid, clearly Sarah is sleeping.
but Sven and Demo are not.
Sven was staring into sky, wondering when Burt is gonna wake up.
soon enough, the blonde fell asleep.
it's only Demo.
Burt fluttered his eyes open, sitting up.
"what... what happened?" Burt asked, causing Demo to perk her head up.
Demo ran over to Burt like a dog and started licking him.
Burt didn't expect Demo to be so happy to see him awake.
though he knew he got shot.
Demo soon fell asleep in Burt's lap, using at some pillow.
Burt stroked Demo fur lightly, all the sleep he got during the trip was enough for him
though it was only a few hours
Burt smiled gently as he watched Demo sleeping, feeling her breathe in and out slowly.
he heard Sven groan, and looked right next to him.
Sven looked at burt with sleepy eyes but smiled.
"are you okay?" Sven asked softly, stroking Burt's cheek softly.
" i am.. that shot hurts." Burt explained.
their voice were quiet whispers. they could only hear their voices.
"why did you do it?" Sven asked, placing his whole hand on Burt's cheek, cupping it.
Burt thought of something to say to answer to that question.
"because.. i didn't want to see you go.. again." Burt answered, closing his eyes, to feel Sven's warmth on his hand
Sven smiled, having Burt back really makes him feel... not lonely.
"i was.. so cold. i wanted warmth so bad.. i wanted to be in your arms." Burt shivered.
he's still cold. but wants warmth.
Sven stopped cupping Burt's cheek, making Burt let out a whine
Sven got Burt's sweater and placed it around Burt.
he quickly places the sweater quickly on, feeling the warmth everywhere.
"i needed this.." Burt whispered, he felt like a blanket was on him
"was it really that cold?" Sven asked, concerned.
"yes. but, i'm fine now.." Burt hugged himself, still letting Demo on his lap.
"Burt.. you saved me, two times during this whole thing. i don't know how much more of you saving me..." Sven whispered, stroking hair.
"it's because i love you, Sven. why don't you understand?" Burt whispered softly, causing him to chuckle.
Sven smiled softly and left a kiss on Burt's cheek.
" i just want you to be safe. you been through enough already." Sven whispered.
and he was right.
ever since 11, Burt roamed the wild. he was so alone and hungry.
that is, until he found Demo.
Demo took care of him and loved him like if he was part of her family.
he decided to take her title as a sister.
not a mother.
but either way, Demo took care of Burt well.
she did find out the toppats were looking for Bur.
so she hid him.
that's why they roamed everywhere.
to be safe.
"yeah.. i been through.. quite a lot..!" Burt giggled, letting out a sigh after.
"you been. and they are still after you. who knows? they might after you until you die!" Sven shouted in a hush whisper
Burt nodded.
he doesn't know when it's gonna stop.
but he wants to..
"Sven?"
"hm? yes love?" Sven answered Burt, giving him that little pet name.
"can.. can you hold me tonight? i'm scared if they'll come again." Burt explained, looking away from Sven's blue eyes.
"sure.." Sven answered.
he also feared for Burt to be kidnapped by the toppats once again.
he went around Burt and sat next to him, putting his arm around Burt.
Burt let out a soft sigh and snuggled into Sven's warmth.
though, he was his sweater, he wasn't warm enough.
"not warm..." Burt whispered and tried to get enough warmth as he can.
Sven smiled as he saw Burt get warm.
he glad that Burt's back, and that he's okay.
unharmed.
well... sort of.
but overall, he's okay.
Sven kissed Burt's forehead and closed his eyes.
Burt wasn't too tried but he closed his eyes tried to get warm.
the wind is fresh.
Sarah was sleeping nearby, so she isn't far.
tomorrow's another day..
