Ever since I saw Laylani and I know her and my kid still ok I've been tryna find everything I can about what's been happening with them. I honestly ain't even want Laylani anymore.
I really just wanted to see Veah one time. I know Laylani wants me to somehow be in Neveah life cause she named her after my sister that died. Laylani don't know it but she gonna need me. Neveah is gonna have the same shit I have and it's gonna be worse.
"How you get my number and why you call me" I heard Laylani say walking to me
"I just want to see Neveah one time" I said
"Yeah ain't gonna happen bye" she said
"So what you gonna tell her when she see she look nothing like that nigga. You can't tell her I left cause you gonna be lying to her" I said
"I'll just tell her that ain't her real dad" she said
"You don't get how that shit works huh. She gonna want to know me it's okay if I ain't in her life but I just want to talk to her and tell her why I ain't in her life" I said
"And what you gonna tell her" she said
"The truth that I can't be in her life cause I hurt you and that whatever nigga you with is a better dad then me" I said no need to lie about it cause it would make it worse if the truth comes out
"Marcus I don-" she got cut of by her phone ringing
"I'm at the park getting air I'll be there in like five minutes" I heard her say and then she put her phone away
"Yo nigga don't know you came to see me" I said
"He don't even know about you and I want to keep it that way" she said
"Damn what a secret you keeping" I chuckled "how you gonna date the biggest drug dealer but couldn't date me when I was in corners" I mumbled
"The biggest what" she said
"Wym" I asked her
"You said the biggest drug dealer" she said
"Oh no I starting to day dream but he is a good barber"
Damn they both keeping secrets and I'm right in the middle. HB his street name always had the barber shop lie for a cover up. I wasn't bought to tell Laylani anything cause that ain't my business I already ruined her happiness once don't wanna do it again.
"But Um forget all that can I see her or what" I asked
"I don't know Marcus" she said
"I ain't gonna hurt her or try and take her she y'all daughter I just want to talk to her once" I said
"Okay imma be right there the whole time no can I speak to her in private. Also when she's sixteen y'all can communicate all y'all want if she wants to deal" she said
"Deal oh and imma warn you now once she hits sixteen that's when shit start to go down, her anger is gonna be bad" I said
"Marcus we don't even know if she gonna have it or not" she said
"She is it's gonna hit when she either twelve or gets her first lady cycle. It shouldn't happen no earlier" I said
"Like I said we don't know for sure I'll let her see you tomorrow bye" she said walking away going in her car
I guess this supposed to be the time where I laugh and tell y'all my plan and shit. But that ain't bought to happen imma talk to neveah tell her who I am and just roam around the streets until she older and she hit the demon stage.
But y'all ain't ready for that conversation yet.
Kari POV
"Neveah give me it back now" I said
"No finders keepers losers suck" she said laughing with my toy in her hand
"Fine" I said I walked to her side of the room and got her Barbie "I wonder what your barbie would look like without a head" I said
"Kari I swear do it and you getting stabbed" she said
"You getting stabbed" I mocked her
Then I just saw her eyes go black. Like she was really angry next thing I know I'm on the floor getting punched.
"Okay get off me Neveah here" I said giving her, her doll
Then she started crying. Now why she crying I gave it back.
"Why are you crying Veah I gave it back" I said irritated
"Cause I was scared I just felt all this madness come in me and the doll wasn't that serious I think I have demons" she said
"You don't have demons Neveah you probably just got anger issues" I said in a duh tone
"Should I tell my mom" she asked me
"No cause then she gonna take you to a hospital and give you pills and I'm not gonna see you anymore" I said
"So what imma do" she asked
"We gonna just keep this between us and I promise to never tell and protect you" I said
"Promise" she asked me
"Pinky" I said holding my pinky finger out
She connected her pinky to mine.
"We should have a slang" she said
"Omg childish" I said
"Um what about sibling loyalty" she said
"Alright" I said holding my pinky out
