It was late at night as everyone was getting ready for bed. Charlotte had finished brushing her teeth for the night and headed to her bed. As soon as she lied her head on her pillow, she heard a thump. Is someone here? "Um... Uncle Scrooge! Someone is here to see you!" Huey called. Oh boy.

In the morning, Dewey, Charlotte, Webby, and Huey were sitting on the couch while their mystery guest was sitting on his own seat. Their mystery guest had on black, Arabian clothes and had a sword hanging on its holster. "Uh, so, um... Mr. Djinn, can I get you something while you wait? A-A Pep?" Huey offered. Djinn rose from his seat and stood in front of them. "I am in no mood for Pep. I seek only the Lamp of the First Genie, a sacred relic of untold value that the last of my line has sworn to protect for all time. Today, on the Eve of the Ifrit's Dawn, my quest must come to a triumphant conclusion, or the consequences may be dire." Djinn explained, showing a scroll about the Lamp of the First Genie. A lamp? Is that what Louie and Mr. McDuck are looking for in the garage? "M-Maybe a D-Diet P-Pep?" Charlotte offered nervously. Djinn stared at Charlotte before sighing. "I would like that very much. Thank you." Djinn said. Charlotte nodded and retrieved the drink for him.

After handing Djinn his drink, he thanked her and she returned to her seat. Not even a minute passed before they heard Scrooge yell, "What do ya mean, yard sale!?" Everyone gave a nervous expression. "Um, so, did you see last week's episode of 'Ottoman Empire'?" Huey asked as he turned on the tv, trying to distract Djinn. Djinn stood in front of the tv. "The Ottoman Empire? You refer to those dreaded invaders that tried to destroy my ancestors for the lamp? They failed. Miserably." Djinn said as he sliced a tall light lamp in half with his sword. "I like everything about you!" Webby said with a smile. Well, at least he's not a villain.

Scrooge soon entered the living room. "So, funny thing, about the lamp. Eh... uh, you'll love this. It appears I have misplaced it." Scrooge suddenly gasped as he saw Djinn's sword. "You misplaced... the Lamp of the First Genie!? I shall raise this home!" Djinn yelled as he began to attack the furniture. Charlotte quickly dove behind the couch for cover. "Strip it to the rafters, brick by brick! And I will not leave! I will not stop until I find it!" Djinn yelled as Louie entered the living room.

"Did he say 'misplaced'? Uncle Scrooge meant to say 'stolen'!" Louie said. Charlotte pokes her head out from behind the couch. Stolen? Then what's all that about a yard sale? "Yes, the lamp... was... stolen by a powerful figure! Ohh, uh, uh, ooh, profoundly powerful!" Scrooge said. This has to be a lie. "Ooh, like a wicked sorcerer? Or a powerful god, like a Sumerian god, or maybe Greek!?" Webby asked. "Yes, Webby, a Greek god!" Scrooge said. "Do you think it's on Ithaquack!?" Webby asked. "Yup, sure is! It's way out on Ithaquack. Oh, so Djinn, I guess you must be going..." Louie said. "Stolen!" Djinn said as he processed this new information. He then took Scrooge's arm and held him up. "Then we must go to this Ithaquack and reclaim the lamp!" Djinn declared. "Yes! ... W-W-We?" Scrooge asked nervously.

The plane was all ready to go with the kids waiting nearby. Djinn and Scrooge were making their way to the plane. "Scrooge McDuck, Finder of the Lamp, I swear allegiance to the courage in your veins. United, we have the power to meet justice." Djinn said, walking to the plane while Scrooge stayed behind. "Definitely... Ugh..." Scrooge said. "So, I've compiled a list of possible foes. There's Hades, Apollo... hehe. And let's not forget Zeus!" Webby said. Charlotte cringed at the name. "P-Please don't s-say his n-name." Charlotte said.

Scrooge leaned in towards the kids. "Louie accidentally sold the lamp. This fellow will tear apart our home until we find it." Scrooge whispered. Of course Louie sold it. "Yeah, and if we don't, he might tear us apart." Louie said. "Lassies, we need to keep him busy while you boys track it down. Do you think you could come up with some phony quest or trails to occupy him- Wha- Are you- Are you crying?" Scrooge asked. Webby had tears welling up in her eyes. "This is my moment." Webby whispered. Charlotte couldn't help but smile. "A legendary quest by Webby Vanderquack and Charlotte! Get ready for the ultimate adventure, Mr. Djinn!" Webby exclaimed. "Tarry not! The lamp awaits!" Djinn yelled. Webby squealed as she dashed to the plane, Charlotte following suit. "Find. That. Lamp." Scrooge ordered Louie before getting on the plane. Once they took off, Scrooge approached Charlotte. "Are you gonna be okay, lass?" Scrooge asked. "I-If he's not a-around, t-then I'll b-be okay." Charlotte answered. Scrooge smiled as he ruffled her hair and let her work out the quest with Webby.

Once they landed on Ithaquack, they all made their way to the Temple of Heroes. Webby ran further ahead in the dark temple and lit the room up for dramatic effect. "So, you seek the lamp, huh?" Webby asked. Djinn only nodded his head. "The Gods of Old bring all of the noblest heroes to the Temple as a final test of their merits before rewarding them with the spoils. Each chamber will be a trail, every trail harder than the last." Webby said as she stepped aside to present the first chamber.

Djinn and Scrooge entered the chamber only for a sea creature to emerge from the water in front of them. The creature roared at them. "Who dare wake me from my infinite slumber!? Uh... What poor excuse for a hero believes he has what it takes to... contain? Mighty Charybdis!" Charybdis said as Charlotte was mouthing the words to him while reading the script in her hands. Webby gave a thumbs up before signaling Scrooge for his turn.

"Yeah- it- it is us! Scrooge and Djinn!" Scrooge said. Scrooge looked at his hand for the line of dialogue he wrote down, the line being a bit smudged. "Have at ye, you multi-armed monstrosity!" Scrooge read aloud as he began to "attack" Charybdis. Charybdis roared as he picked up Scrooge. "Oh! Oh! Ohh! Oh, no! Ohh, ya blasted beast!" Scrooge said. Charybdis "smashed" Scrooge against the wall before setting him down behind a giant bolder. "You have dispatched my most loyal and chivalrous ally! You shall pay!" Djinn yelled as he launched a rock at Charybdis' eyes. "Ow! Hey! I wasn't done with my scene!" Charybdis said as he held his hurt eye. "For the lamp!" Djinn yelled as he started to attack Charybdis.

Selene, the goddess of the moon, poked her head inside the chamber to see the fight ensue. Charlotte signaled her to keep moving, so she quickly made her way to Scrooge. "Thanks for letting us borrow your temple, Selene. We have to keep this persistent paladin busy." Scrooge said. "Why have a deadly temple if you're not gonna use it, right?" Selene asked with a smile. "Make it stop, please! This wasn't the scene!" Charybdis yelled as he kept on being attacked by Djinn. "No improv! Stick to the script!" Webby shouted. I'm not sure if that'll last long.

Djinn was beginning to tie Charybdis' tentacles together when Scrooge received a phone call from Louie. "Uncle Gladstone has the lamp!" Louie said on the phone. "That serendipitous deadbeat. Call as soon as you get it!" Scrooge said before hanging up. "I give! I give!" Charybdis yelled in pain as his tentacles were tied together. Djinn jumped off of Charybdis. "I thank you, Charybdis, for the journey, and honor your role in the Legend of the Lamp." Djinn said as he began to write on his scroll. Scrooge approached Webby and Charlotte. "We have to keep stalling! What now?" Scrooge asked. "We're going to Appendix B!" Webby said.

As they moved on to the next chamber, Charlotte stayed behind and proceeded to untangle Charybdis' tentacles. Once she was done, Charybdis smiled gratefully. "Thanks, kid. They were really starting to hurt." Charybdis said. Charlotte smiled at him. "Y-You're welcome." She said before making her way to the next chamber.

Charlotte was quick to spot Djinn and Webby in front of the next chamber. "The Impossible Riddle of the Minotaur! It can only be answered by the purest of heart." Webby said. Djinn entered the chamber to find the Minotaur, which was just Scrooge and Selene in a costume. "Shh! He's coming, he's coming!" Scrooge whispered to Selene as they tried to balance themselves. "Minotaur, it is I, Djinn. The Ifrit's dawn nears, and I seek the lamp that is my birthright. State your riddle." Djinn said. "Djinn, be thee worthy?" Scrooge asked in the Minotaur voice. "Aye." Djinn asked. "Are you sure?" The Minotaur asked. "Are you stalling?" Djinn asked as he was about to take out his sword. "Okay, okay. The Minotaur's Riddle! 'I'm more powerful than the gods, more evil than the demons. The poor have me, the rich need me. If you eat me, you shall die. What am I?' Take your time! Heroes tougher than you have been stumped by the Mino-."

"Nothing."

"I'm sorry, what?" The Minotaur asked. "Nothing is more powerful than the gods, nothing more evil than the demons. The poor have nothing, the rich need nothing, and if you eat nothing, you shall perish. Now, let me pass!" Djinn explained. "That is correct." Scrooge said before switching back to his Minotaur voice. "N-Next question!" He stammered. "But I have answered your riddle." Djinn said. "Well, it's- it's really more of a quiz. Um, so... a train leaves Duckburg traveling at sixty miles per hour..." Charlotte couldn't help but silently slap her forehead at the question.

They asked Djinn every single riddle that they could, with Djinn correctly answering each one. "To see time fly. Now, if there are no further riddles..." Djinn said. "That's the end of the joke book." Selene said to Scrooge. They both struggled as they walked up to Djinn. Scrooge reaches his hand out and pretended to grab Djinn's nose. "I've got your nose!" Scrooge said in his Minotaur voice. "Monster! Is it not enough to steal the lamp, but now you claim my nose as well!?" Djinn exclaimed as he held his sword to the Minotaur's neck. Scrooge then pretended to put the nose back. "Ooh, uh, you may pass! You may- you may pass. You may pass." The Minotaur said as he stepped aside. "I thank you, Minotaur, for the journey, and honor your role in the Legend of the Lamp." Djinn said as he wrote on the scroll. When he was done, he stood in front of the door to the Garden of Selene as the door began to slowly open. "Come on, come on. What's taking them so long?" Scrooge asked as he was trying to call Louie.

Everyone stood behind a pillar as they watched Djinn wait for the door to fully open. This is bad. This is so bad. "What do we do, Uncle Scrooge?" Webby asked. "I can't stall that door much longer!" Selene said. "If there's no lamp, that marauder will have our hides for using a pointless quest to distract him from his pointless quest!" Scrooge said. "I-I'm sure they'll f-find it." Charlotte said. As if on cue, Scrooge's phone began to ring. Scrooge answered his phone. "Yes? ... Jumpin' jalopinous junkheaps!" Scrooge said before hanging up. Scrooge quickly wrote something down before handing it to Selene, who nodded and went through a secret passage way.

The door fully opened to reveal the Garden of Selene. Djinn entered as Selene took her place at the center of the garden, panting and fixing herself up. "I have proven myself. Where is it?" Djinn asked. Selene kept panting before finally speaking. "You made it. But, uh, before you completed the Minotaur's Quiz, the nefarious- wrote it down here, ah!- Ma Beagle stole the lamp and returned to Duckburg! Yeah. That's why I'm breathing heavy. I just fought her. Yeah." Selene said. Everyone waited nervously for Djinn's response. "Then we must return to Duckburg!" Djinn declared as he started to head back to the plane. Everyone sighed in relief.

It was night time once they returned to Duckburg. Djinn shot some lights with his bow and arrow as they all sneaked into the junkyard. They all quietly slid down to a small hiding place for them while all of the Beagle Boys slept. "This place is crawling with crooks. Let's wait for some to leave, grab that trinket, and then we never speak of this ever again." Scrooge said. "There is no time! The Ifrit's Dawn nears! If by daybreak the lamp is in the wrong hands, the consequences would be devastating!" Djinn said.

"W-Wait, w-what!?"

"What!?"

"Since when!?"

"It's dangerous?"

"Really!?"

"But I examined it! The lamp had no powers!" Scrooge said. "Did you examine it on the Ifrit's Dawn?" Djinn asked. He's kinda got you there. "Well, no, but..." Scrooge answered. "We need to find a way to sneak in without tipping them off, and then-." Huey spoke until he was interrupted by Djinn. "Treacherous Beagles!" Djinn yelled while taking out his sword. So much for that plan.

All of the Beagle Boys woke up and began to growl at Djinn. "Hand over the lamp!" Djinn commanded. Ma Beagle then came out of her trailer in her night gown. "What is this garbage distracting me from my garbage!?" Ma Beagle asked angrily. "I am Faris Djinn, Seeker of the Lamp! You knew of the lamp's worth when you stole it from the Temple of Heroes!" Djinn declared. "I didn't steal no lamp!" Ma Beagle said in confusion. "The ancient token of my fathers. The Lamp of the First Genie!" Djinn said. "Genie lamp!? Dibs!" Ma Beagle said before turning to Big Time. "Take him out!" Ma Beagle order as she went inside her trailer to change. "You got it, Ma!" Big Time said as he joined his siblings, who were laughing evilly.

Just great. Ma Beagle returned in her normal attire. "It is in my junkyard! Someone threw it away, and that means it belongs to me!" Ma Beagle said as she began to cackle. Djinn was shocked at the revelation. "Threw it away? Who would have-?" Djinn turned to Scrooge and the kids. "And what of our quest and-?" Scrooge and the kids looked down in shame. "Has this all been a charade? A false quest to hide the fact that you cast aside the lamp as garbage?" Djinn asked. "I'm sorry! We didn't know the lamp was a big deal! Uncle Scrooge tells us nothing!" Louie said. Djinn turned to the Beagle Boys before unsheathing his sword. "For the lamp!" Djinn yelled as he jumped down. Scrooge groaned as he and the kids followed suit.

The Beagle Boys charged at Djinn as he came down. Djinn stomped on their heads, before pinning a Beagle Boy to the wall with three arrows. "This is so much realer than our fake adventure!" Webby said as she and Dewey were attacking a Beagle Boy. "Come on, kids!" Scrooge said as he, Charlotte, Huey, and Louie were catching up to Djinn to find the lamp. "Keep 'em busy! I'm gonna get me some genie wishes!" Ma Beagle said as she went further inside the junkyard while launching evilly, followed by some of the Beagle Boys.

Scrooge was attacking a Beagle Boy when he turned to Djinn. "Djinn, I'm sorry I tricked you. If I'd known what was at stake-." Djinn stopped him from continuing. "Another chapter in the legend. A final trail before we find the lamp! It's all part of the journey!" Djinn said as he began to run deeper into the junkyard. Scrooge followed after him, the rest of the kids not too far behind with Louie screaming while being chased by Beagle Boys. Djinn attacked an oncoming Beagle Boy as he went continued down a path. Scrooge and Charlotte climbed over stacked cars to find the lamp. Webby and Dewey went down one path while Huey and Louie went down a different path. Huey and Louie soon changed their direction, screaming as they were chased by more Beagle Boys.

Charlotte began to look for the lamp while Scrooge was literally swimming in the garbage to find it as well. That has got to be disgusting! Djinn had been attacking numerous Beagle Boys, even burying one in garbage. Charlotte soon stood next to him. "I-I don't s-see it, Mr. D-Djinn!" Charlotte said. Scrooge then emerged from the garbage, spitting out any garbage that had gotten in his mouth. "It could be anywhere!" Scrooge said. "Uncle Scrooge! The lamp!" Huey shouted as he pointed to where the lamp was.

Scrooge, Charlotte, and Djinn ran in the direction Huey was pointing to find the lamp high up on a giant stack of junk. "There!" Scrooge said. "Misbah. The lamp." Djinn said as he bowed for the lamp. Charlotte tugged on Scrooge's sleeve and pointed to Ma Beagle, who was making her way to the lamp. "Come on!" Scrooge yelled as he and Charlotte began to run to the lamp. Djinn stood up from his bow, only to be tackled by a Beagle Boy. Charlotte immediately turned around and began to pull at the Beagle Boy's ears to free Djinn. "Go! Get the lamp! Before the Ifrit's Dawn!" Djinn yelled at Scrooge. Scrooge and Ma Beagle climbed up to the lamp until both of their hands were on the lamp. "Argh! No ya don't!" Scrooge said. They both began to struggle for it as the sun began to rise above the horizon. "It's mine!" Ma Beagle said as she shoved Scrooge off the tower. Scrooge fell until Djinn caught him and landed next to the kids. "Got it! First wish: better kids!" Ma Beagle cackled as she began to rub the lamp.

"Aw, man!"

"I wish you wasn't so mean, Mama!"

Ma Beagle's smile faded as she kept rubbing the lamp, but no genie appeared. "What gives? Where's the magic? The genie? The wishes!?" Ma Beagle asked. Djinn then started to laugh at her. "Is that what you thought? An actual living genie inside the lamp? You took that literally?" Djinn asked. Ma Beagle nodded sadly. "You said it would be devastating in the wrong hands!" Scrooge said. "Yes, devastating to me personally. It's a precious family heirloom." Djinn clarified. "And... the Ifrit's Dawn?" Huey asked. "It's my birthday, and I can think of no finer gift." Djinn answered as he took out his scroll to show a picture of Djinn reclaiming the lamp. "So why did we do any of this!?" Louie asked.

Djinn began to explain. "The story of the lamp goes back centuries, back in olden times. My great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandmother discovered the lamp at a bazaar. After accidentally rubbing it, a genie did, in fact, emerge. Instead of asking for wishes, my grandmother befriended this lively, impish fellow, and they fell in love. When it came time to wish, my grandmother made just one- to free her love. Though he no longer had any magic, he granted her every wish as her devoted husband. Much like this lamp, the true magic was in their journey. And after centuries of searching, my family has finally reclaimed the totem that started it all." Djinn finished as Scrooge and the kids smiled while embracing each other.

"Enough! Time to trash this piece of junk!" Ma Beagle yelled as she was about to throw the lamp away. Before she could, Djinn shot an arrow attached to a string through the lamp's handle. "Hey!" Ma Beagle yelled as Djinn pulled the lamp to him. Djinn then pulled out his sword. "Anyone else wish to test me on my birthday?" Djinn asked.

"Uh-uh."

"Happy birthday, dude!"

Djinn put his sword away and everyone returned to the mansion. Everyone was sitting in the dinning room as Mrs. Beakley was bringing Djinn a birthday cake. "A triumph for the family and their new ally! Having found both the lamp and the greatest treasure of all- a cool story to tell!" Dewey said. Everyone awed while Louie was booing Dewey. "So, Djinn, what will you do now?" Scrooge asked. "Find a new quest, and let this lamp be the start of a whole new legend to share with my descendants. A treasure's greatest value lies in the stories it can tell us." Djinn said before blowing a horn. Scrooge took out his Number One Dime. "Stories, eh?" Scrooge said to himself.

Later that day, Scrooge took the kids to the Duckburg Museum. "Welcome to the tax deductible Adventurer's Wing of the Duckburg Museum!" Scrooge said as everyone began to look at all the wondrous artifacts Scrooge had collected over the years. "It was time for a little spring cleaning. And time to share these tales with you all. And everyone!" Scrooge said. Charlotte smiled. "What's special about this?" Webby asked Scrooge as she pointed at a ruby. "That's the famed Candy Strip Ruby. A gift from the king of Rippan Taro Island. Ya see, this was long ago. I was an ambitious young lad..."
