David Jones was sitting in class barely listening to the teacher, he was staring at a pretty girl.
Lilly Jackson a cute girl with white hair that had blue streaks running through it.
He's wanted to ask her out for so long, but her friends always got in the way. Today would be different, Kelly was nowhere to be seen.
After class he got up and walked towards the girl of his dreams, he would ask her out and she would say yes, and then they would get married, and have two kids.
"Watch where you're going dweeb!" Kurt Bromand, a bully who had it out for him, interrupted his reverie.
"Sorry Kurt, I didn't mean to walk into you."
"You're gonna be sorry dweeb!" Kurt raised his fist to punch him.
"Kurt go hang a nerd up on the flag pole by his boxers." A sweet lilting voice stopped his pummeling, oh no.
"Fine Kelly but you gotta let me pound his face in some day." Kurt walked off, probably to do just what was asked of him.
"Hello, Davy, how's the kraken?" Kelly stood right in front of David and right between him and Lilly, who seemed to be distracted by a bird that landed on the window infront of her.
"Leave me alone Kelly, I just wanna talk to Lilly." So close, but she seemed to not notice him.
"Oh, I don't think so Davy, you are nowhere near the league required for her to even be out of your league. It's my job to keep creeps like you away from her."
David sighed and left to go to his next class, he might get a chance tomorrow.
The next class started and once again he was barely paying attention and staring at Lilly, when he heard the teacher announce they would have a partnered assignment, and the teacher was choosing the partners, oh goody.
The partners were announced one by one and but he and Lilly hadn't come up yet. "Lilly Jackson, and David Jones will be partnered together."
David felt like cheering, finally he would get the chance to talk to Lilly alone.
"Kelly Wenster and Kurt Bromand, are partnered together." And Kelly has to work with Kurt, ha.
Lilly raised her porcelain like hand.
"Yes Ms. Jackson?"
"Sir, you never told us what the assignment was."
Oh that's right he never said.
"Your assignment is on Greek mythology, choose a myth to go over, and because I know that so many of you will choose hercules, Kurt and Kelly get to do that one, all the rest of you had better choose a different hero, or other myth."
David raised his hand. "Sir when are the assignments due?"
The teacher looked in thought. "You are to turn these in at midterm. They will count for fifty percent of the grade."
Fifty percent? Great, at least he was working with the smartest student in the class.
After class they got out for the rest of the day, Lilly walked up to him and told him to meet her in the library, when he saw Kelly behind her staring at him murderously, he very quickly agreed.
In the library, Lilly asked him what myth he thinks they should go over.
"Um, Poseidon?" He couldn't remember much of the mythology.
"Okay, how about when he brought his girlfriend into Athena's temple to get it on, and got her cursed into a creature that would turn you to stone if you looked in her eyes?"
She actually managed to look bored when she said that. "Okay? Sure why not."
"Alright, the myth of Medusa it is. I'll go tell our teacher, you stay here and see if you can find anything before I get back." Lilly walked off, and David couldn't help but stare at her finely shaped ass.
Connifer Underwood, his best friend, walked up to him. "That is a bag of snakes with only one of them being nice."
"But the nice one is so hot, I can't help but try." David was still watching where Lilly used to be.
"I'm not even gonna try." His friend sighed and looked at him. "You need to be careful, anyone who hangs out with Kelly and Kurt willingly, is not someone who will like you."
"Eh? What do you mean Con?"
"You should already know, but, I guess you're too young."
"Too young? Okay what am I not getting here?" Now David was confused.
Connifer was about to answer when they were interrupted. "Oh look who it is, Davy Jones, Kurt why don't we go shove this twerp in his locker."
Kurt grabbed David and started dragging him out into the hallway.
"Hey leave him alone, I'll get a teacher!"
At least Connifer was trying to protect him.
"Oh, you're not gonna do anything." Kelly grabbed Connifer and shoved them into a bookcase, they crumpled like paper knocked out on the floor.
Kurt dragged David out to the abandoned hallways and threw him into his locker, a pen hit him in the head and landed in his hand, suddenly he was holding a sword, he stood up and looked at the two bullies.
They seemed to have changed, Kurt had sharp teeth and wolf like claws, his yellow eyes glowed and he snarled at David like he was looking at prey.
Kelly had a mule leg and long sharp claws, her fake leg looked a bit different too, bulkier more metal, unlike the slim metal pole it was before.
David held the sword up it was a bit too light for him. Kurt charged and he swung, the blade sliced through him like a knife through sand cutting Kurt in half. Kelly screeched at him and attacked, he swung again, missing her arm, which he was aiming for, but clipped her in the head.
Both bullies vanished like mist. He collapsed and passed out.
When he woke up he was in the medical wing, and the nurse looked over at him. "Good you're up, if you can move, leave my office."
David walked out and right into Lilly.
"Lilly hi, um do you know what happened to me?"
"What do you mean? You were found passed out in the hallway after being hit in the head with a baseball."
That made sense, it was the only explanation for what happened to him today.
"Go hug your girlfriend and sleep it off."
Wait what? "My girlfriend? Who is that?"
"You mean you and Connifer aren't together? You two look so cute together, you should go ask her out sometime."
Oh, great, the girl her likes thinks he's with someone else. Wait, Connifer is a girl?
David walked away contimplating reality when he hadn't realized his best friend was a girl.
He walked into his shared dorm, and saw Connifer sitting on their bed reading.
"Con, are you a girl?" Okay maybe super blunt but he had to ask.
"Sometimes, it depends on how I'm feeling, sometimes I'm a boy, or maybe I'm not even a gender, why?"
"Lilly thinks you're my girlfriend."
"Pfft, that's one way to shut someone, who's been crushing on you, down cold." Connifer started laughing at him.
"Oh ha ha, thanks for that Con."
"No problem David, but if I did say yes would you date me?"
"No, ew, no offense Con but you feel like my sibling, guess I can't say brother."
"Aw, thanks D, you feel like my sister sometimes too!" Connifer started laughing at him again.
"Con! I, just, uhh, I don't know why I don't feel mad at you right now."
Connifer perked up and hugged David. "It's ok my little lesbian sister I will love you no matter what."
"Really? Even if I start dressing like a girl and trying to give you manicures?" David smirked at the look he got from his friend.
"No, no manicures, I will strangle you."
Connifer made strangling motions at David.
At midterm the groups turned their assignments in and the teacher told them to have a nice Christmas break.
David arrived home to his mom and his new stepdad. "Hello, you must be David, I'm Taylor Jackson, nice to meet you."
David shook the hand of the, woman? David looked up and saw a pretty lady with his mom, she had black hair with pink highlights, a fine shapely body, and bright purple eyes.
"Uh, um, what?"
Taylor giggled and looked at his mom. "I thought you told him Nana."
His mom looked a bit sheepish. "I may have omitted a few details. Like gender and family." She poked her fingers together and looked away.
"Family? What do you mean mom?"
Taylor looked at him. "I have a daughter of my own, she about your age, maybe older. In fact she should be arriving soon."
The door opened behind him, and a familiar voice came out. "Mom I'm here but if my new brother is, oh, hi."
David turned around and saw the girl he had been staring at for half the school year.
"Uh, hi Lilly, um."
"Your that in the closet lesbian tans-girl I was partnered with for the greek mythology assignment, right?"
David squeaked and curled up in embarrassment, his face red hot.
"Oh, David, why didn't you tell me you wanted to be a girl? Don't worry I'll be sure to get you a cute assortment of girls clothes to wear when you want, and some makeup too." Well at least mom is supportive.
"Mom, nooo, I, it's, mmmmmmmm." David couldn't find any words because it sounded nice but also was super embarrassing.
Lilly giggled and walked up to her mother, the two hugged.
"Well we only have two weeks to get to know each other, let's have a great holiday."
The new family had a nice two week holiday and by the time it was over, Daisy felt comfortable with herself for the first time in a while.
When Daisy and Lilly got back to school, Daisy hugged Connifer and the two reconnected. By the end of the year it wasn't strange to see Daisy and Lilly egging Kelly into kissing Connifer, Daisy didn't notice but Kelly had come back from Christmas vacation a week later than the rest of them.
