tw - verbal and physical abuse + sexual assault: please if you're a younger reader, this chapter is very mature

All was peaceful on the long, detailed bridge stretching over the ravine that separated Hogwarts castle itself from a section of the school's expansive grounds. There was a spring breeze that carried in the fresh, sharp smell of pine trees from the forest, mingled with the new wildflower blooms springing up all across the bright green grass. This wind also made the gentle rusting of leaves together on plants audible, as well as bringing in birds from their nests they had settled in for the snowy winter. Up above, the sky was a light blue with thin, grey clouds covering the sun just so that the air was neither too warm nor too cold.

The perfect weather and atmosphere were ironic contrasts to the couple that had just stormed onto the bridge angrily.

"What's the big deal, Rosier?" Theodore asked with a light tone as he jogged after Hollis that she clearly was not having.

Although her new mindset made Hollis much more submissive when it came to arguments with Theodore, it hadn't stopped her from not taking part in them in the first place.

Hollis turned around furiously and stopped walking briskly away from him, a tear running down her face.

"The big deal is that you can't just say that sort of thing in front of Lucius, it's humiliating!" Hollis said with a hoarse voice and fast tone. "I don't even-"

Faster than Hollis could blink, Theodore had a hand wrapped around her wrist tightly, cutting off her thoughts and words. The Slytherin girl winced, his grip hurt really, really bad.

But the curse was preventing Hollis from doing anything about it like she normally would, in the unlikely event that she or Remus event let Theodore get that close to her in the first place.

"You don't even what, Hol?" Theodore hissed, putting his face only a few inches away from Hollis's so that her back was against the wall of the bridge.

There was only a terrified silence from Hollis that followed his question, and Theodore smirked coldly.

"That's what I thought," he continued, still to a Hollis whose brown eyes were wide and watering. "You don't get to tell me what I can and can't say, Rosier."

His stone cold hands tightened around Hollis's wrist to enforce these words.

"You don't get to control me," Theodore said slowly, making sure that Hollis understood every word. "Am I clear?"

When Hollis blinked again, another tear ran down her face. Theodore didn't care, the only thing that mattered was that he got the respect from Hollis he deserved.

"I said," Theodore repeated in a low, lethal tone when Hollis still hadn't answered. "Am I clear?"

When Hollis had first been placed under the Imperius Curse, it was untraceable happiness that had filled her. Now, the longer she stayed under and the more time she spent with Theodore, that odd sort of empty happiness had turned to a very full pain.

"Yes," Hollis said in a small voice, just barely managing to get out that one word before bursting into full on, body shaking sobs.

Hollis was still pinned against one of the supporting beams on the stone walls holding up the roof of the bridge, with her wrist in Theodore's painful grip that was sure to leave bruises later. The boy smiled sadistically, glad he had gotten his point across, no matter what ends he had to use.

In some sort of twisted way, Theodore liked seeing Hollis like this. As long as Hollis was scared of him, she was under his control. And if Hollis was under his control, then Theodore could do whatever he wanted to her.

"Good," Theodore smirked, letting go of Hollis's wrist.

Unfortunately, she took this as a cue to leave, when Theodore was far from finished with her.

"Where do you think you're going?" Theodore asked in a cruel voice as Hollis tried to get away from him.

"I-I just," Hollis stammered, but Theodore forcefully pinned her up against the bridge walls again.

Please, get out of my head, let me fight back, let me hurt him, let me out-

"You don't get to go until I say you can," Theodore told Hollis in a commanding tone. "And I didn't say you could."

With that, Theodore kissed Hollis, one hand against the carved stone of the bridge and the other on her thigh. It only took a few seconds for Theodore's hand to move under the back of her skirt with cold, strong fingers that told Hollis she shouldn't even try to move.

Even though the Imperius Curse wouldn't let Hollis think about Remus, something in the very back of the tiny section of Hollis's mind that was resisting the curse told her that this was all so different than how it should be.

When Remus had kissed Hollis, it had always been something that he made sure she was okay with. Remus would pull away slightly occasionally to make sure that Hollis still wanted to continue, which she almost always did. Even though the Gryffindor was nearly a foot taller than her with toned muscles, he never exerted that potential physical advantage over her. And if he put his hands on Hollis, it was slowly and gently, and never in any sort of rush.

Theodore was the exact opposite to every one of those things.

He was greedy and cruel and only cared about what he wanted. Unlike Remus, Theodore would regularly use his size advantage to make sure what he wished to happen did, whether Hollis fully wanted to or not. And the second he kissed her, Theodore's hands would also move somewhere else.

In short, Hollis and Remus kissed each other because they wanted to be closer due to their unadmitted love for one another.

But Theodore just wanted to be physically closer to Hollis for his own enjoyment.

"Theodore, I have to go," Hollis with a voice full of tears as one of his hands forcefully pressed down on her collarbone so that she was even further being controlled by him and his lips moved down to her neck.

My wand, it's in my pocket, I have to get it, he's hurting me and he won't stop, GET OUT OF MY HEAD

Once again, Theodore glared at her.

"I said, you don't get to go until I tell you," Theodore hissed again.

When Hollis squirmed slightly under his grip, the Slytherin boy just gave her a sick smile.

"Oh please just don't even try that with me, Hol," he said in a low tone, raising both of his light brown eyebrows. "I'm much stronger than you."

"Please, I-"

Theodore cut her off with a hand painfully tightened under Hollis's black skirt on the top of her thigh, almost to her waistline.

"Shut up."

Please just make this end, why are you doing this, let me protect myself, stop controlling me-

In the Slytherin common room, Evans's grip tightened on his quill so hard that it almost snapped in half as he enforced the curse even further onto his little sister.

She needed to learn.

The bruises traced across Hollis's thighs and neck were making sure of that.

Even though it was nearly eleven at night, Remus just couldn't go to bed. He had been tossing and turning for a long time, unable to slip into unconsciousness no matter how much he tried to let his mind relax.

As silently as he could, Remus threw his legs out the side of the bed and made his way to the heavy mahogany door of the sixth Gryffindor boy's dormitories. None of the other boys woke up despite the creak of the steel hinges and sliver of buttery orange light peeking onto the scarlet carpet, and Remus slipped out for a midnight walk in just his pajamas.

In all of Hogwarts, the place that Remus found the most comforting was the library, particularly the Marauder's corner. So, wishing he had the invisibility cloak that had been missing from James's dresser, Remus made his way to the east of the castle.

He pushed open the glass and oak doors to the library quietly, his socks padding against the hard oak plank floor with practiced stealth from years of pranking. After a few minutes of walking slowly to be sure none of the boards creaked, Remus made it to the southernmost side of the vast sea of shelves and seats.

When he got to the Marauder's Corner, to his surprise, Remus saw that there was already a warm, amber candle penetrating the darkness. Putting together the missing cloak and this candle, Remus let out a whisper to his friend.

"James?" he asked softly, and the cloak was immediately pulled off the sitting boy.

Springing up from the floor and hugging Remus in a split second, James sobbed heavily into Remus's brown tank top.

"I miss her," James choked out, thinking of the girl he considered a sister being so far gone and right next to him at the same time. "I just want her to come back, to get her out of there."

Remus shut his eyes as he let go of James to look at him in his watering hazel eyes.

"We're going to get her back, mate," Remus reassured him in a breaking voice as well. "We are, I promise."

The two boys stared at the initials HR carved into the bookshelf next to theirs until they fell asleep.
