Saturday Morning, Jungwon Pov:
I woke up with a crazy headache. The sun just barely up, shining through the tall trees that cover almost half of the condos. The birds doing there everyday chirping right by the windows to disturb us students. The clouds are nowhere to be seen, the sky clear as glass, but in a pretty blue color. If only what was going on inside my condo, was as pretty as the outside.
I slowly sat up, while rubbing my head. My hangover biting me right in the ass. I open my eyes all the way to see nothing but a broken glass cup across the room, a white packet on the floor, and me, a drunken boy. I got up and went to my bathroom, my head still ringing like crazy. I looked at myself in the mirror and couldn't be more disappointed in myself. My eyes were puffy, my hair was a mess, and my cheeks red and burning. I wash my face, only wishing that it would become perfect once again.
I walked downstair- well, more like dragging my legs down the steps. The living room was somewhat clean but still a mess. My phone was on the island along with three empty bottles of soju. I went to the fridge and grabbed an energy drink, Then my phone went off, making my head hurt even more from the ring. It was from Sunoo.
Sunoo hyung:
Wake up drunkie! Get dressed and be ready in 10 minutes, we are going to Jake's and Jay's game! Niki and I will pick you up, SO GET UP!
I groaned as I read the text, especially while reading Jay's name. I can barely remember anything that went on last night, but the only thing I remember was me on top of Jay, while we were just staring at each other. That image kept playing in my head over and over again. It felt like my brain wanted me to keep remembering that embarrassing time.
It was like my body was trying to replay the terrifying moment I had with the person I hate most, and with the person I love the most.
At the game, Author Pov:
"Why would he try to kiss you if he clearly stated that you were his friend?" Jay askes while stretching. The boys were having a home game this time, so they didn't have to wake up early for the game. "I don't know! You tell me." Jake said while also stretching.
"Well of course I don't!" Jay said while standing up. "Exactly" Jake said with his sarcastic voice. "Do you even like Sunghoon?" Jay asked while looking away
'Oh shit' Jake thought, he really never said that he had a crush on Sunghoon, but never said that he wouldn't date him. And he never really thought of himself as fully gay. Jake always thought he was bisexual because he liked both girls and boys, but kinda only liked girls. He's always thought that boys were cute, but never really got into a relationship with a boy...well that was until he met Sunghoon.
"I honestly....don't know?" Jake said, his statement kinda sounding like a question. "So...your gay?" Jay asked, turning his head so it faced Jake.
"I still don't know!" Jake said while looking back at him. "If I am, are you ok with that?"
"Yea I mean I don't really care, you love who you love, and you can't control that."Jay said while looking over at the bus that was pulling up.
Jake felt more relieved after what Jay said, but soon started to tense up again when he saw the other team's bus pull up. The team they were competing was a very aggressive group. The team took a year away from that team because of how aggressive and physical they were. Always tried to pick fights with the other team and would never take no for an answer.
Both Jay and Jake HATED competing against them. Jake always got scared whenever he saw them, and right now, he was on the verge of having a heart attack. The captain of the team, Hyunwoo, was the worst. Jake was gonna quit soccer because of him. Always picking on Jake, pushing him, saying mean things, and quote on quote from Jay, "Flirting" with Jake.
Jake never felt comfortable around Hyunwoo and would always avoid him during old games, and it would work for the most part, but this time was a home game, which means that he will have to see him at the gate.
Both Jake and Jay stayed on the further side of the gate along with their other teammates. The bus pulled up to a stop and door flew open. The first person to come out was Hyunwoo. His hair was jet black, but had some blonde highlights. His cheek bones a lot more firm, and his jawline could cut a paper in half.
"He changed a lot.." Jake whispered to Jay while staring at Hyunwoo, who was combing his hair with his hands. Hyunwoo looked up to see Jake and Jay staring at him and smirked. He walked up closer to Jake and whispered, "Good luck today...Jakey~" He whispered as he shoveled Jake with his elbow and walked to the other side of the field.
Jake was a mess, he felt very uncomfortable and was ready to give up. But at the same time, Jake had a moment of Deja vu. Everytime he thought of Hyunwoo, he thought of someone else. Except, the person he was thinking of, he never felt afraid or stressed around them. It was like....
he wanted to keep that person in his life.
About 35 minutes later, the game started and boy was it a whole roller coaster ride! The amount of Jake and Jay got glared at by the other team was so crazy that Jay lost count at number 15. During the first 15 minutes of the game were pretty normal, besides all the glares and small comments, but once the first 25 minutes hit, that's when things got really messy. Jake would casually look in the crowd and see Sunoo, Niki, Heesung, and Jungwon cheering them on.
'Where is Sunghoon?' Jake thought.
Whenever Jake or Jay would make a goal, Hyunwoo would go over to them and threaten to do 'something' them or just straight up hit them. But once Hyunwoo noticed that his time was losing, he was not gonna let it happen without a fight.
Almost towards the end of the game, everyone was feeling the pressure. Jake's team was winning by two points, so if they can make one shot in these few minutes, they would win. But the other team had the ball, so in order to win, Jake's team would need to screw them over and trick them.
The other team was running towards the goal, getting ready to kick. Jake was following right behind the person with the ball. He soon crossed in front and kicked the ball away from the team's feet.
Now they had the ball. Jake wasn't even thinking about what was going on. He just want to win. His legs weren't listening to his body and started sprinting to the other goal. Jake saw Jay closer to the goal and kicked the ball to him. Jay caught the ball with his feet and kicked the ball into the goal. They heard the whistle blow and turned their heads towards the score board.
25-22
"WE WON!" Jay yelled as he ran over to Jake and started hitting his back. The crowd was screaming, especially all of their friends. Jungwon was screaming Jake's name, but never saying Jay's name. Sunoo was screaming some weird song. Niki was just laughing at Sunoo while also cheering for them. And Heesung was just standing there, like he was watching his children. Everyone was too busy screaming and cheering, without realizing what was about to happen.
Hyunwoo and his team were pissed. Hyunwoo was there just staring at Jake with fire and hatred in his eyes. "Calm down." One of his teammates said as he put his arm on his shoulder. Hyunwoo shoved his hand off of his shoulder and went over to the goal that had the ball. He grabbed the ball and walked over to Jake and his team. He wasn't completely out of site, but the team was too busy to notice him. And before anyone could stop him, he chucked the ball right at Jake's head. Hyunwoo quickly ran over to the team and started a huge fight. The ball came right at Jake's face, because of how hard and fast Hyunwoo threw the ball, it ended up knocking the wind out of Jake as he fell on field.
Screams and Yells were coming from everywhere around the field as coaches, parents, and other students started running to the field. Hyunwoo got to Jake first and started kicking Jake in the stomach and shoulders, and even kicking him in the face a couple times. Jay was trying to stop him, but was being held back by Hyunwoo's teammates, while getting punched in the gut and mouth.
Jake's whole body and mind were barely holding on. The last thing he heard was: "SOMEONE CALL THE POLICE!!!" by someone in the crowd.
Then he blacked out.
