time skips to morning, and Demo still to be wide awake
she's just staring at the sun. just waiting.
"my eyes don't hurt." she randomly said.
she thinks it's time now.
"rise and shine, lovebirds." she said, waking the two up.
huh, her voice was loud enough.
"huh?! why did you..?" Burt had a red face, made Demo laugh a bit.
"don't sweat it Burt, Sven told me last night." Demo got her claws out to check them.
Burt looked at Sven, kind of surprised. but mostly shocked.
"you.. you promised not to tell." Burt reminded him, but by now it's too late.
Sven sighed.
"i just couldn't keep it in me anymore." he scratched the behind of his neck.
Burt took a look at Demo, though for some reason, she doesn't look okay.
"is... is she mad?" Burt asked. kind of worried based on the look on her face.
"no.. but if i hurt or breakup with or.. something like that, she'll be fucking mad" Sven explained, as he remembered what Demo said to him.
"your darn right" Demo flicked a stick with her words.
Burt was glad she was okay with this, but her face wasn't about Sven or Burt.
it was about something else.
"Demo? are you okay?" Burt asked, Sven let go of Burt in order for him to get to Demo.
"okay? i'm better then okay!" Demo forced a happy smile.
but she could smell herself lying. if that was possible
but lucky for her, Burt didn't seem to push the questions much further.
Burt walked away and gave Sven a hand to get up.
Sven got up, by the help of Burt.
Demo cleared her throat before standing on her four legs.
"should we get going??" Demo asked.
Sven nodded and Burt shrugs
"i guess.." Burt said
Sven was shocked on Burt's voice.
and he couldn't brush it off.
they started walking, heading off into the woods.
but it seems to be dark.
real dark.
but that didn't bother the three.
"Burt, you didn't sound so good. are you okay?" Sven asked Burt, catching Burt's attention.
"am i okay?! ask that to Demo! is she okay?!" Burt exploded, making Sven's skin jump a bit from Burt's outbreak
Burt noticed, and tried to clam himself down.
"sorry. i'm just worried about her. she hadn't told what was wrong. she's acting like she's fine, but her face tells a whole new story." Burt's eyes were locked on Demo, she was waving her tail back and forth, not caring about the talk Burt and Sven are having behind her.
Sven sighed. he clearly didn't know it would make her behave this strange
"do you know why Demo acting this strange? do you?" Burt asked, Demo paused her tail wagging, waiting for a answer from Sven
Sven shook his head.
"no. i don't sadly." Sven lied. he hated lying to Burt, but he's doing it for Demo at least.
Demo smelled Sven lying. good.
Demo was glad that Sven lied. though he hated it as she could tell.
Sven kissed Burt's cheek to relax
Burt felt his face heat up, and then he smiled a small smile.
but he was still concerned.
Burt pinched Demo's right ear, making her jump.
"... why did you do that?" she asked.
Burt cleared his throat.
"clearly your not okay. what's on the doggy mind of yours?" Burt asked.
Sven facepalmed softly and shook his head.
Burt noticed what Sven was doing and smacked his shoulder.
the smack was so hard it made Sven wince in pain.
"HOLY MOTHER OF CHICKENS!" he shouted, rubbing his arm.
Burt smiled.
"cute. but don't do that again. or next time it'll be harder" Burt warned, still having a smile on his face.
Sven playfully rolled his eyes.
"sure. but one day i'll hit you hard" Sven joked.
Demo didn't like that joke.
Burt face heated up with deep red blush.
"SVEN! REALLY? IN FRONT OF DEMO??" Burt still had that blush on his face, and Sven was dying of laughter.
Demo cleared her throat, making Sven calm his laughing down and Burt quiet.
"Burt, to be clear i'm a wolf not a dog. where in the world did you get the fact that i'm a dog?" Demo really brought it up.
Sven was holding his laughter. clearly failing.
"what? a dog is like the same of a wolf. so you might be a dog." Burt explained, and Sven was taking deep breaths so he could keep it together.
Demo shook her head.
Demo is not like those dogs out there with their humans.
urg.
Demo would rather ignore everything if someone called her a stupid dog.
y'know what that's what she gonna do.
"holy shit snake." Sven whispered.
Burt laughed a bit.
"nice try Sven. i know your tricks. you and a damn snake" Burt waved his hand.
Sven wasn't joking.
"no really, A FUCKING SNAKE" Sven pointed at a snake staring at him.
Sven ran behind Burt, clearly scared of the snake.
Burt, now knew Sven wasn't lying about this said snake.
Burt grabbed this large stick nearby and pointed it at the snake.
trying to get it away, he scooped up the snake with the stick and placed it in the bushes.
but only for it to get out again.
"shit! i don't wanna hurt the poor snake!" Burt shouted.
Sven shrugs and was still trembling.
Burt scooped it up again and this time, fucking threw it, making it become a dot.
Sven eyes were widened.
"weird snake encounter." Burt chuckled.
Sven was frozen as a frozen icy pond.
"Sven?" Burt puts the stick down and walked towards Sven.
"are you okay?" Burt asked.
Sven unfroze, nodding.
"yeah i am."
Burt smiled.
now, where the fuck is Demo.
right behind them. Demo's eyes were also widened from the sudden act Burt did to the snake.
Burt walked towards Demo.
"should we get going?" he asked. and Demo nodded, snapping back to reality.
"c'mon blonde, we need to go" Demo said, turning around and started walking forward.
Sven almost had to run to catch up with them.
but at least he managed to.
