MELANIE HENDERSON; what's there to
say about Melanie Henderson? Well, shes
actually the opposite of her little brother Dustin Henderson. She's very sassy and can be sweet
when she wants, she's very self -absorbed at
times but one thing she and her brother have in common is confidence. The brunette is very protective when it not only comes to her brother
but the kids. Mike wheeler, Lucas Sinclair, will
Byers and eleven.

DUSTIN HENDERSON, always looked up
to his sister, and is very protective of her, in
Dustins eyes he admires his sister as a legend.
Sure there are times the two don't agree on
some things but no matter what their both there
for each other. Dustin would come to his sister
when there's trouble or when he just needs money for the arcade. Even when Dustin has his bike, his sister still gives him rides to school. Melanie loves her brother even when his protectiveness gets too annoying deep down she loves it.

MIKE WHEELER, was one of the kids
Melanie seemed to have something in common with. Rather it be always annoyed with the others
or something. Mike always looked up to Melanie even had a little crush on the brunette. If there was something wrong or if he needed to go to someone for something he would go to Melanie, even though he had a older sister Nancy Wheeler who was almost the same age as Melanie he saw Melanie more as a sister then Nancy.

WILL BYERS, was the one Melanie kept her
eye on the most. After the whole thing with the creatures and will being taken. Melanie always made sure to keep a close eye on him when she
would babysit the kids. Melanie understood Will
in ways that no one, not even his friends or mom
and brother could. A reason why Will loves her
and would come to her when he had a episode.

LUCAS SINCLAIR, besides being the best
friend to his eldest sister Iris Sinclair. Melanie always admired Lucas loyalty and the way he would be there for his friends. Like Will, Lucas always admired Melanie as a another sister.

THEN THERES ELEVEN, meeting Eleven
for the first time Melanie was a little hesitant
about the young girl with powers. But after
getting to know Eleven, Melanie grew to love
the girl, and also protective of her. Eleven found Melanie as a sister -mother figure in her eyes.

In Hawkins Indiana, the town adores the eldest Henderson. Scratch that, the town worships the brunette rather it's because of her attractiveness
or her personality. The towns people, mainly parents love Melanie, parents like Mrs. Wheeler,
Mrs. Byers, Mrs and Mr. Sinclair. To Melanie
she thinks it's because she watches their kids.

Let's not forget her friends, well her one friend
who is her best friend. Iris Sinclair. the two have been best friends sense third grade and have been through thick and thin. Both tell each other everything neither of them keep anything from
each other. Melanie looks to Iris as a sister.
as the same for Iris.

Melanie wasn't that close to her brothers friends siblings. They went to the same school yes. They see each other lots, yes. But Melanie just wasn't
that close with them based off their personality
and who they hung out with. The only too people
Melanie manly talked to at times when she had
the chance were, Steve Harrington and Jonathan Byers.

She didn't talk to Mikes sister Nancy wheeler
when the too would see each other Melanie
would only say 'hey' or 'how's it going?'
that's it. Melanie doesn't know why she isn't
friends with her maybe it's because the two
have nothing in common. in the Henderson
girls eyes she sees Nancy boring and just
wished the girl would figure out what she
wants. but that's how it is. But anyways! She
didn't need more friends when she had Iris.

RIGHT NOW, THE BRUNETTE WAS IN
HER ROOM LOOKING FOR HER BLACK
LEATHER JACKET THAT WAS DWAYNES;
A VAMPIRE CHARACTER FROM THE LOST BOYS MOVIE. Melanie bought it last year at the store due to her obsession of the vampire movie.

Her room contained a brown dresser that had
lots of kits on it along with her perfumes. A big
bed that had red and black sheets. And on the
wall were a whole bunch of posters; mostly the
lost boys posters but there were others like
Prince, Michael Jackson and more. The girl
had taste.

"Ugh! Where the hell is that jacket?" Melanie
grumbles pushing a frustrated hand through her
hair.

"Son of a bitch!" Melanie heard a voice yell.
with a roll of her eyes, knowing who it was
the brunette leaves her spot from the pile of
clothes and steps out of her room walking in
the living room to see her brother rushing in
the living room. Where her mother and mews
their pet cat was, watching what looked to be
the news.

Dustin searched under the couches. Melanie
watches with her arms crossed over her chest
and her back leaning against the wall.

"Son of a bitch! Son of a bitch!" Dustin kept
repeating.

Dustin picks up a what looks to be penny and
looks at it with unsatisfied eyes. "Another stupid penny!" Then he threw it like it was nothing.

"Dusty, watch it! You almost hit Mews." Claudia their mother said, petting Mews.

Dustin turns to look at their mother. "Can I please check under your cushions?" He asks.

"Dusty." Claudia warned, giving him a look.

"Mom, please? It's an emergency!" Dustin expressed. Melanie rolls her eyes, at her brother.
It wasn't even that important or serious.

Claudia moans mockingly, and Dustin returns
it. Melanie watched them with almost amused
eyes. Claudia stands, with Mews still in her
arms. While Dustin searched under the pillow.

Dustin checks under the cushions and finds
some money. With a huge smile planted on his
face. Dustin says. "Love you, Mom." Then runs
off towards his room.

Sighing Melanie goes in the direction her brother ran to and watches from the doorway as he grabs his walkie -talkie.

"Lucas, you copy? I've got four quarters. What's your haul?" Dustins asked into the walkie -talkie.

"Take your puny haul and multiply it by five." Melanie heard Lucas.

"How?" Dustin asks.

"While you were scrounging around like a homeless bum, I mowed Old Man Humphrey's lawn." Lucas told Dustin.

"Old Man Humphrey's got that kinda cash?" Dustin asks sorta shocked.

"Just call Mike already." Lucas ordered ignoring Dustin's question.

"You call Mike." Dustin whined. He was propped up against his bed, his walkie - talkie in his lap and his headset over his ears.

"I have to go take a shower from doing real
work, like a man. Over and out." Lucas tutted. Melanie snorts. Dustin lifts his head up and looks
at his sister.

"Oh. Hey Mel." Dustin smiles at his sister.
Melanie nodded in return not shaking off her brothers adorableness when he smiles, the way
his temples would quirk out in the right angles.

"So, were are you heading off to in such a rush
that you needed money?" Melanie asks Dustin.

"The arcade." Dustin tells her.

"I don't know why I bother asking, knowing
you." Melanie shakes her head with a smile on
her glossed lips. "Do you need a ride?"

"I was gonna ride my bike but, yeah.
Sure." Dustin told his sister. "Just, wait."

Melanie nods. "I gotta go grab my jacket."
The brunette walks out of Dustins room and
goes into hers, we're she left her pile at she
begins digging in it again. In search of her
leather jacket.

"Mike, do you copy?" Dustin asks into his
mic. "Mike, do you copy?" He repeated.

Soon Mikes voice come in. "Yeah?" But the wheeler boy sounded disgruntled. "Yeah, I
copy."

"What are you doing on this channel?" Dustin
asks, raising a eyebrow.

"Nothing." Mike said too quickly.

"Well, Lucas and I have ten bucks total. What's your haul?" Dustin asks shrugging off his friends
odd behavior.

"I, I don't know yet." Mike said with a little
stutter in his tone.

"What do you mean 'you don't know'?" Asked
Dustin with confusion. Still digging in the pile
of clothes, Melanie begins to give up on search
of the jacket but a grin over takes her features
once her eyes caught sight of the yellow leopard
print on the side of the jacket. "Yes! There you
are."

"Hold on. Call Will." Mike told Dustin.

"Dustin! I found my jacket, let's get going!" Melanie yells, slipping on the black leather
jacket.

IN MELANIE'S CAR, WITH 'ANOTHER
ONE BITES THE DUST' BY QUEEN BLASTING. Melanie taps on the the steering wheel while bobbing her head to the rhythm.
Dustin sitting in the passenger seat admires
her. Every moment he gets, Dustin admires
his sister. The teenager has always looked up
to his sister.

"What's up bud?"Melanie asks, turning the
music down and looking towards her brother.

"Nothing." Dustin shakes his head, looking out
the window watching as they passed by buildings.

"Dustin?"

Dustin turns away from the window and looks
at his sister. "Yeah?"

"You okay?" Melanie asks concern laced in her
voice. "Do you need more money? Is it something with the boys? Are you feeling ok——"

"Melanie!?" Dustin cuts his sister off, placing
his hand on her arm. "I'm fine. Yes, I might need more money. No there's nothing wrong with the boys, and I'm feeling fine."

Melanie felt herself relax and looks over her brothers face to see he was being honest. Nodding her head Melanie drove up to the arcade and put
her car in park, she saw Mike and Lucas were parking their bikes and waved at them. And Joyce pulled up with Will.

"Here." Melanie pulls her black bag from
the backseat and takes out some money, handing
it to her brother.

"Thank you! Mel." Dustin hugs his sister.

"You're welcome bub. Now I'll be here to pick
you up around five——"

"Wait, you're not coming in with us?" Dustin
asks his sister with furrowed brows. Since the
events of last year Melanie has been spending
most of her time with the boys.

"Hey, Melanie." Mike says as he steps toward
her car window along with Lucas and Will.

"Are you coming in with us." Will asks the
brunette with a twinkle in his eyes.

Smiling softly at the boy Melanie nods. "Yeah,
I'm coming in. You guys can go in, I'll be in there
a sec." the boys including Dustin nod and run inside the arcade.

Getting out of her car, after parking it in a parking spot. Melanie looks over towards Joyce who had her window rolled down with a smile on her face. "Hey, Joyce."

"Hello sweetheart. Thank you for watching him." Joyce told the brunette with thankful eyes.

"Of course." Nodding Melanie adds. "Don't worry I'll keep a close eye on him."

"Thank you." With that Joyce leaves. Going into
the arcade. Non of the boys complained that the
brunette was there, simply smiled at her and ran
to their favorite game, Dragons Lair.

"Ugh. Every time I come in here the smell
seems to get worse." Melanie said slightly
cringing.

"Then why not you just go sit in one of those booths?" Mike asks.

Melanie looks over towards the booths then back
at the wheeler boy and shrugs. "I could, but I don't wanna."

The boys all huddle around the machine, focusing on Dustin's game play.

"To slay the dragon, use the magic sword!"
Melanie sighs, taking her orange scrunchie
out from her messy bun. Letting her hair out
she fixes it.

"Oh Jesus!" Dustin exclaimed, his eyes glued
on to the screen. "I'm in uncharted territory, here. Guys."

"Down, down, down!" Will, Mike and Lucas suddenly started chanting. Dustin forced the stick down, making his character on the screen duck
under the dragons claws. "I'm going, I'm going!" Dustin responded.

"Right, right, right." The boys continued to yell a series of instructions to Dustin who kept yelling at them to shut up.

"No." Dustin said. Melanie watched while
taking a piece of gum from out of the pocket of
her jacket. Putting it in her mouth the brunette smacks on it.

"No! No! I hate this overpriced bullshit! Son
of a bitch! Piece of shit!" Dustin exclaimed.

"You're just not nimble enough." Lucas said as Dustin kicked the machine. But you'll get there
one day. But until then, Princess Daphne is still
mine!" Lucas said. This causes Melanie to roll
her eyes at the boys infatuation with the game
character.

"Such Boys." She muttered.

"Whatever." Dustin grumbled. "I'm still top on centipede and Dig Dug."

"You sure about that?" A voices booms, the
boys and Melanie turn to see Keith; the creepy arcade worker who always seemed to be there
when they were, specially when Melanie was
with them. Melanie cringes seeing the crumbs
of the Cheeto puffs around the edges of his lips. Melanie found Keith creepy and would call him
a 'pervert.' or 'Cheeto boy'.

He shoved Cheetos into his mouth once more.
With a smirk, looking triumphantly at the brunettes brother.

"Sure about what?" Dustin asks, his eyes wide.
All Keith did was shove another Cheeto in his mouth. Dustin started running around the corner
to another game. "You're kidding me! No. No. No."

Melanie followed the boys, very aware of Keith's eyes following her, the Henderson shuddered in disgust prying in her head her brother and friends hurry so she can go home. "Take a picture. Maybe it'll last longer."

"No. No!" Dustin screamed when he reached the game. Melanie looked over the boy's heads to see 'MadMax' above Dustin. She was shocked to say the least.

"Seven hundred and fifty- one thousand, three hundred points!" Will read out loud, clear shock coating his tone.

"That's impossible." Mike said incredulously.

"Obviously not." Melanie said, folding her arms over her chest.

"Who's Mad Max?" Dustin asks, turning towards Keith.

"Better than you." Keith only responded.

"Is it you?" Dustin asked the creep. Keith only scoffed. "You know I despise Dig Dug."

"Then who the hell is it? God! I don't feel like
being here all day. Spill!" Melanie ordered, already fed up with the Cheeto boy.

"Yeah. Spill it, Keith!" Dustin nodded backing his sister up.

"You want information, then I need something in return." Keith moved his gaze towards a impatient brunette. Melanie visibly gaged and was ready to punch him square in the throat.

"I don't know why the hell you're stirring at
me. You and me will never happen." Keith frowns.

"I know it sucks doesn't it Keith, life is full
of disappointments and I just added you to the
list." Melanie pouts in fake mockery.

"You'll never get a date with my sister. She's too
hot for you. " Dustin said.

"Yeah." The boys nod, glaring at Keith standing
in front of Melanie protectively.

Keith shrugged and let his eyes trail to Mike.
Mikes eyes widened. "No, no. No. No way!
you're not getting a date with my sister, either."

Melanie scoffed, disgusted with the boy. Now
he was trying Nancy. Pig she thought.

"Mike, come on." Lucas complained. "Just get
him the date." It was a different story for Nancy then Melanie. The boys loved Melanie, she's been there for them as they were for her. She understood them better then anybody. They admire her. And even have a small crush on her specifically, Mike.

"No, don't get him the date." Dustin objected. "Know why? He's gonna spread his nasty- ass
rash to you're whole family."

Keith's smug smile faded. "Acne isn't a rash and
it isn't contagious, you prepubescent wastiod."

Melanie had just enough, moving the boys
gently aside she was stood in front of the boy before anyone knew it his left cheek had a red handprint on it.

"You call my brother one more name and you'll have to find another job to be a creep at. Better
yet you'll have to deal with me punching you in
the throat!" She threatened with a clenched jaw,
as the boy looked at her holding his red cheek in fear.

The boys smiled looking at Melanie with such
'awe' as if she had saved them from a very bad storm.

"She wouldn't go on a date with you anyway!" Dustin said. "With or without the rash!"

"It's called acne." Keith said annoyed, but took
a step back at Melanie's glaring face.

"You make like what? Two-fifty an hour? Dustin continued. Melanie scoffs.

"Were would you take her. The gas station? You don't make much. Probably because you're to busy being a pervert." Melanie looked at the boy in total disgust. The boys all high-fived the brunette.

"Nice. Perm." Keith said, his voice wavering slightly.

"Gonna make fun of my hair?" Dustin asked.

"Cheap shot, noodle head." Lucas told Keith.

"Hey, I can't help if my hair is greasy." Keith defended himself. Melanie rolls her eyes.

"There's this thing we use it's called 'shampoo'
try using it. Dumb ass." Melanie bluntly told
Keith.

Keith made a face and went for a come back,
when the phone at the front started ringing. He threw a glare at the children and Melanie.

"This isn't over."

"Oh, I think it is. There's no way you can stand against Melanie you could barley come up with a come back." Lucas said with a smirk. Keith walked away, and the boys cheered. Hugging Melanie's waist.

"Let's beat Mad Max's score." Dustin proposed.
as he turned back to the game. Mike and Lucas watched from either side. This makes Melanie furrow her eyebrows. Will, where's Will?

Seeing the boys were to invested in the game,
she started looking around. After a few turns, she noticed the back door of the arcade hanging open. When she got there, Will was standing outside
his back facing her.

"Will?" The brunette asked, standing at the
door. He didn't turn around. "Will? Honey." Still
no reply.

Melanie took slow steps towards him. She
tugged her jacket closer to herself as the wind
picked up. It was a little chilly, for the night.

"Will!?" The boy turned around with a startle,
his eyes wide. Melanie smiles in concern. "Hey, buddy. You okay?"

He turned back around to look at something in
the sky, Melanie followed his gaze, squinting her eyes, it was too dark; only to see nothing. "Yeah,
I just— I needed some air."

"Sure." Melanie trailed off not fully believing him and a little weirded out. "Well, why don't you come back in?"

"Will?" Mikes voice was heard from behind Melanie.

When he kept stirring. Melanie walked over,
putting her arm around his shoulder she guided
him and Mike back inside.

THE NEXT DAY, MELANIE WOKE UP
IN A RUSH GRABBING HER CLOTHES
SHE TOOK OFF TO HER BATHROOM. HURRYING AS FAST AS SHE COULD.
Her outfit for today was, a dress. A long sleeve
shirt with puffs on the edges, and a red velvet strapless dress that covered the long sleeve. To
pear the whole outfit off she slides on her black
doc martens.

Fixing her hair which was brushing it, she left it
out on her shoulders. She didn't need that much make up so she only applied brown nude lipstick
on with a 'pucker' pop of her lips she walked back into her room grabbing her bag and hurried down stairs.

"Morning sweetheart." Claudia, Melanie's and Dustins mother greeted from the kitchen.

"Morning mom. Did Dustin——"

"He already left, you can pick him up from
school." Claudia told her daughter.

"Ok." Melanie reached over, grabbing a toast
from off a plate. "Bye mom, love you." With
a quick kiss pressed to her mother's cheek she
quickly left.

"Have a good day at school. Love you!." Her
mother yelled.

Biting into her toast, she hoped into her car. Leaving the house she had 'livin' on a prayer'
By Bon Jovi blasting in her pink 1958 Cadillac.

"Take my hand we'll make it I swear." Melanie mumbles hitting her stirring wheel to the beat.

Getting to Hawkins High school, Melanie parked
in her usual parking spot. She didn't turn the music down. She just sat in her car a couple of minutes, seeing two people she knew, Nancy and Steve.

But as she parked into the parking spot eyes
were already on her, specifically her car.

Steve and Nancy opened their doors from Steve's car and got out. Melanie leaned back in her seat, studying her face in the review mirror. She was suddenly startled as there was a knock on her
window. Moving her head Melanie calms down
once she sees who it was.

Melanie rolls down her window. "Jesus, Don't
scare me like that!"

"Sorry." Iris smiles softly. "Are you getting out
or am I gonna have to come in——"

Iris stopped mid sentence when a Chevrolet
Camara raced into the lot. Iris and Melanie
shared a look. A girl with fiery red hair got
out and skated away on her board. She looked
around the same as her brothers age. Then, on
the driver's side, a tall guy with a mullet got
out. He was fully decked out in denim with a cigarette hanging loosely from his lips.

To be honest, he was handsome. It was like he walked out of a magazine.

Turning her car engine off, Melanie got out of
her car. And time seemed to stop once her doc martens hit the ground pavement. Eyes that were focused on Billy went directly to her, all the boys and even girls looked Melanie up and down. Boys because obvious reasons, girls as they gossiped and took notes in 'awe' of what Melanie was wearing.

Swinging her bag over her shoulder Melanie looks over at her friend and hugs her. "Hey, best friend."

"Hey." Iris smiles before directing her eyes over towards the knew kid, who's eyes were already
on them, Melanie specifically. "Check out the
new kid. He's hot. And looking over here."

"Wait. What—" Melanie backs away and turns
to look at the gorgeous blonde.

He shuts his door with a bang. Melanie looks
down at her shoes before looking back at him,
he wore a smug smile and winked at her. Melanie was taken back. He then turned around threw his cigarette onto the pavement and waltzes down the path to the school like he already owned the place.
Melanie for some reason liked his confidence.

"He winked at you." Iris expressed breaking the silence.

"I know, such a bold move. I like his confidence." Admitted the brunette.

"Hey Melanie! Love the outfit!" A couple of
girls exclaimed towards Melanie, squealing and gushing over the brunette.

Melanie smiles and blows a kiss towards
them. It wasn't new. For her, this happened everyday. It was like she was a celebrity; Girls would compliment her outfit ask her where she'd get it. Some would even try to mimic her look
but it stood out and didn't look good. Melanie Henderson was the queen of style in Hawkins
high school.

Both Iris and Melanie shake their heads with a chuckle and walk arm and arm into school.

Melanie had history, she sat with her arms
crossed over her chest, leg on top of the other.
Her face blank as she looked in boredom. She
thanked the lord her next class would be science
sense Iris was in it.

Sighing the brunette reached in the pocket of
her jacket, pulling out a gum she popped it in
her mouth. Chewing it, ignoring the lustful
stares from some boys.

"You chewing that gum is getting me turned on."
A husky voice whispers.

Twisting her head around, she sees it's him the handsome boy who winked at her outside by the cars.

Still chewing her gum she takes him in. Even
closer he looked more gorgeous. Her eyes found their way to his eyes. Big blue eyes that reminded her of the ocean. She was broken out of her trance by his laugh. His soft laugh.

"See something you like, babygirl?" He asks
her licking the bottom of his lip as he took her in.

"You're the guy that winked at me." Melanie said. Ignoring the nickname he gave her.

"That's me." Billy smoothly said with a grin that held charm and flirtation in it.

Melanie had to admit, she was swooning in the inside, but on the outside she wasn't gonna admit that, specially not to him. Knowing it'll only boost his ego and cause him to keep on flirting with her. She's heard many 'gossips' on the new kid. From girls on how hot he was, or how his ass looked so fine. And soon she knew he'd become the new
king of Hawkins high, hell he already was once
he stepped out of his blue car. Poor, poor Steve.

"You ok, babygirl?" Billy asks causing Melanie
to come back to reality.

"Hmm? Yeah. I'm fine, just spaced out for a second." She turns around going back to being
bored, but still thinking of the 'new kid'.

"Billy Hargrove." He tells her. Seeing her
confused face he repeats. "My name. It's Billy,
Billy Hargrove." He flashes her a huge grin.

"And I'm Melanie, nice to meet you Billy. You don't mind if I give you a nickname do you? seeing as you've already gave me one." Melanie looks at Billy.

"I——" "great. Thanks, Michael Emerson." She quickly cuts him off.

"Why Michel Emerson from the movie
lost boys?" Billy asks the Henderson brunette.

"Well, probably because you give off the
lost boys vibe. not to mention your choice of
style." Pointed out Melanie looking him up and down.

"I didn't take you as the type of girl to like
the lost boys movie. And I'm taking that as a compliment, babygirl." Billy winks at the end.

"First of all, you don't even know me. So
how can you say 'type of girl' if you don't
know what type of girl I am? Second, stop
calling me babygirl." Melanie glared at the
mullet haired boy, who in response chuckles.

"Feisty. I like it."

Groaning Melanie turns around in her seat, to
her pryers the bell rings. Swigging her bag over
her shoulder Melanie makes her way out of the class room as the rest of the students did, filling
up the hallway.

"Need some help sweetheart?" Of course there
was no way she was gonna get away from him. Even if she tried. It seems Billy Hargrove had
a infatuation for the Henderson girl, of course everyone who they passed by in the halls sees
it. And there were whispers flying by as the
boys and girls stared at the two 'hot people'.

"Nope. but thanks for asking, Hargrove." Melanie
told the boy walking over towards her locker to collect her books for science.

"Come on. Let me hold your bag, seeing as
you already have your hands full."Billy licks his bottom lip tugging at the bag over her shoulder.

Melanie sighs, knowing he's just gonna keep
on pestering and pestering her, giving up Melanie shrugs off her bag and hands it over to him. Getting her books, with a shut of her locker Melanie starts to walk off, Billy not to far behind.

"What class you headed to, sweet face?" Billy
asks, her bag in his hand.

"Science." She told him.

"What a coincidence, I've got science too." Billy said a glint in his eye as a smirk crosses his lips.

"Great. That's just great." Muttered the brunette.

CLASSES WENT ON, IN A GOOD DAY
FOR EVERYONE EXCEPT MELANIE HENDERSON, ALL DAY TODAY SHES
DELT WITH GIRLS ASKING QUESTIONS
ON HER OUTFIT, ASKING WETHER OR
NOT SHE AND THE 'HOT GUY' WERE A
THING WHICH SHE HAD A GOOD LAUGH AT. Sure, the new kid was handsome. Scratch that gorgeous and a sight for sore eyes. But he was already starting to get off Melanie's nerves. She
has five classes with him, and when the seats are either full and taken he seems to find himself a
seat beside her. And he'd constantly flirt with her
or stare at her with such lust. Melanie could feel
the burning gazes on her flash, and even smell the 'jealousy' in the classroom as Billy would move
as close to her as he could until his jeans were in contact with her skin. And her hands clenched
the yellow pencil in her hand, she could feel his
eyes graze over her and tell he was 'amused' by
her frustration.

But she wasn't gonna let Billy Hargrove get
under skin so quickly, no, she had a plan.

Once the final class was over, walking into the hallway with nothing but giggles coming out of their mouths Melanie clutched on tight to her bag.

"Oh my god, I can't believe that actually really happened. Did you see the look on his face when you said no?" Melanie asked Iris in between laughs.

"Yeah, it was priceless." Iris nods.

"That won't be getting old anytime soon."
Melanie stops laughing and walks over towards
Iris's locker. Soon Tina Tran walks over towards
them with orange fliers in hand.

"Hey Melanie!" She chirps loudly, handing one to her she turns to Iris. "Iris." She hands her one too.

"Thanks." Both girls responded, looking down at the paper. "Hmm. Come and get sheet faced."

"Are you going?" Iris asks the Henderson girl
who stares at the orange flyer.

"Uh duh. I mean it's either go to this or watch
the lost boys with lots of candy, which I don't
mind doing." Melanie told her friend.

"How many times have you watched that movie?" Iris asks with a eyebrow raised.

"I think one hundred and fifty times. Not sure."
She shrugs. "Why?"

"You and your obsession over that movie. I'm
not even surprised if you dress up as one of the vampires from the movie." Iris looks at her, only
for Melanie to give her a wink.

"Who knows, you'll just have to wait and see." When it came to Halloween. Melanie Henderson would dress up as different things, from movies shes watched. And when people would ask her
what she's dressing up as her answer would be 'you'll just have to wait and see'  the brunette
liked to surprise people.

"What about you?" Melanie looks at Iris watching as the black hair girl closes her locker.

"I'll try. I mean my parents want me to take
Lucas trick or treating, but knowing him he'll
be with his friends and won't want me there."
Iris told her. Nodding, before she could ask further
an arm wrapped itself around Melanie's shoulder.

"Hello! Ladies." Steve Harrington greeted with a huge smile, looking up at the male Melanie smiles.

"Hey Steve." Iris nods at the boy before looking
at Melanie. "Hey, I'll see you later. After I take Lucas to his friends I'll meet you at Tina's party."

Melanie nods waving at her best friend she
watched as she left before looking at Steve.

"What's up, Steve?" Both walk away from the lockers Steve's arm wrapped around her shoulder they get outside heading towards Melanie's car.

"I just wanted to know if you'll be at the party.
But from what I just heard I guess you are." Steve said.

"Yeah, I'll be there. But before I go to the party
I have to make sure Dustins with his friends,
sense he's trick or treating." Steve opens the
door for her watching her get in the passenger
seat. "Where's your girlfriend? Usually she's
with you." Melanie asks Steve, looking around
to see no Nancy.

"Oh, she's waiting in the car." Steve points
towards the direction of his car, Melanie looks
and sees in fact Nancy who's already looking
in their direction with what she can point out in unamused look. Rolling her eyes at the duly girl, Melanie turns and throws her bag in the back.

"So——" before Steve could say anything they heard a loud engine, turning they see it was Billy Hargrove.

With his arm hanging out from his window,
and sunglasses on his face. He was looking in
their direction. "Hey, sweetheart! You going to
the party?" Billy asks Melanie who shared a look
with Steve who in return gives a small shrug.

"Yeah! Why?" Billy chuckles.

"Just asking, can't wait to see what you'll be dressing as." With that said he sped away in his
blue car.

"Ok. Why the hell was Hargrove asking you
about the party?" Steve asks the Henderson girl.

"I——" "Steve! Let's go!" Nancy's voice
booms.

"Well, Nancy calls. See ya at the party Harrington." Before Steve could utter a word Melanie shuts her door starting the engine she takes off towards her brothers school that wasn't that far, just near hers.

"Hey buddy. How was school?" Melanie asks Dustin after he got into the car.

"It was great. We have a new student and I
found out she's the MadMax that beated my
score. I thought I would be mad but after meeting her she's awesome!" Dustin expressed to his sister.

"That's cool. What's her name?" Melanie asks
as she drives away from the school.

"Max." Dustin said, her name sliding off his
tongue in a trance. Melanie looks at her brother
and could see a twinkle in his eye when he talks
about the new girl named Max. Her little brother
has a crush.
