VALENTINE'S SPECIALS FOR BLACK CLOVER (2/3) ! A LOVE LETTER for the simps of WILLIAM VANGEANCE from me! ✌💌

You don't know how it got to this,
it all started when you were enjoying an evening with William at one of the balls the Royal hosted when he suddenly pulled you aside to an empty pathway after a few glass of wines,
"Let's get some air, love." he said, pulling you with him, away from the crowd.
"William? But Yami was just about to beat Nozel in fist fight-" you protested but he casted a 'Do you really want to watch that?' smile at you. Truthfully yes, you wanted to see Nozel's high braid gets knocked down by drunken Yami after Nozel had commented "Why do foreigners get to enjoy Royal balls? They are clearly lacking in ballroom etiquette. Look at the food they're shoving down their face." clearly putting an emphasize that the foreigner he meant was no other than Yami Sukehiro.
But when William tugged on your hand again, you remember that William comes first to you, everytime, no matter the circumstances, so you forget about your wants and followed him with your hands intertwining, his hands protecting yours.
In any normal circumstances, William would have smiled, realize your wants and entertain them but he seemed to have a different agenda altogether,
"Too much crowd?" you asked playfully when you two are finally outside, but you soon realize that he was jittering, "Hey, is everything okay?" you look at him worriedly. The question seemed to take him back to his focus and he shakes his head at you, "Yes, love. Everything is fine. I just needed some alone time with you, that's all." He said whilst guiding you to an empty sitting spot at the open pathway.
The open pathway made it possible for the light of nature to reach you and you never knew he could look even more beautiful with the moon shining at his features. He had taken off his mask after knowing that you two are away from preying eyes, and the light casted by the night seemed to have taken a liking to his beautiful face, shining his beautiful white hair and deepening the depth of his purple orbs, making him altogether all the more deserving of his title "The Captain of the Highest Ranking Squad." He looked high and mighty underneath the Golden shine of the morning, and yet so soft and tender underneath the soft light of the moon.
Oh how wonderful to know that this man is yours. Prompted by a sudden impulse, you raise your hand to his cheeks to caress it but he catches it before it even reaches him and pulled your hands with his to his lap, softly creating circles with his thumb on your hand. "Y/N....you know that we've been together for a while, right?"
There's seriously something wrong with him, he was afraid to be touched and he's asking questions he'd normally not ask,
"Yes." you replied, searching for his eyes but he just keeps on looking away. "And you know how much I love you, right?" he added,
"Yes, William. Is something the matter?" you pushed for it now and he just seemed to cower at your question. 'Oh what could make a man this grand suddenly seem so little and fragile to you now.' you thought to yourself.
"How do you feel about me, Y/N?" he suddenly asked, nervousness apparent from his tone of voice.
"Wh-why are you suddenly asking these kind of questions William, I don't get it." panic started to rise inside of you but you kept your head leveled because you knew it was what William would have wanted you to do, "I...well...I love you. I can't describe it into words but I just know that you're the one I want to spend the rest of my life with.", upon hearing that, William seemed to roared back to life, like he finally heard what it is he wanted to hear.
"Y/N~" he said, placing his hand to make sure that you stayed sitting in that position while he takes on a kneeling position in front of you. "Oh-" is the only thing you can say.
"I was afraid." he started, keeping your hands inside of his protective grip, "When you came into my life, I never knew you'd be someone this dear to me. You've shown me much kindness and love, much like Julius...but in such a different way." he paused, "I enjoyed and crave your company more than ever, and I am such a lucky man to have the honor of your time spent for me." he was tale-telling of your shared past with him, "I was always scared that you might get taken away from me. It sounded so selfish to want you all for myself....." he paused, "But I can't help it, dear Y/N!" he was looking at you straight in the eyes now, this time it was hard for you not to cower at his gaze, "I was also so afraid that you might reject my request.....but after hearing what you just said....I should have known that you have most accepting heart....and I should know...because you have shown me love and acceptance even with the scars embedded in my face." he seemed to regain his nervousness again but managed to make a small tree growing with a beautiful flower sprouting open at the end to reveal a small box. He took the box and opened it in front of you, revealing a diamond ring, "Y/N...would you bless me with the honor of being my wife?" he was biting his lips at this point.
Oh, you thought it was so silly of him to get this nervous when of course you'd say yes! You always felt like you are the lucky one to be with him but after hearing this, it seemed that you two were completing each other in ways you haven't known before, "William...of course! I could never say no to you!" and his eyes lit up, he stood and pulled you into his embrace, and you enjoyed this moment of tender warmth from the love you shared until Yami came shouting and laughing "HAHAHAHA, He finally have the guts to ask you out!" while Fuegoleon was trying so hard to keep Yami in check so that he doesn't ruin your and William's special moment. "I told you, we shouldn't have invited him." Nozel stared at Yami's action in disgust, and you so badly want to beat Yami up for ruining your special moment with William, but you took one glance at William and his face was painted red from heat and you knew that you had to protect this man at all cost even if he is the Captain of the most prestigious squad. "Fuck off, Yami!" you said to him and everyone seemed to be taken aback of your choice of words but Nozel seemed to be impressed NOT by your choice of words but by you asserting your dominance on the foreigner. And even though William was standing behind you at this point, you could practically feel William's eyes widening at your choice of word, and then Yami laughed and said "Geee....so feisty! You've got a wild one here, William." and William chuckled and took your hand once again, "She's perfect for me."
and that was the beginning of the chaos that has been going on for the past few weeks, with you running around trying to plan the wedding, pick the right wedding dress followed by the perfect cake, going through the guest lists (thinking whether you want to invite Yami or not, but William have picked him as his best man, which you thought was a bad idea really.....but given their history, it's only fitting that he is William's best man.)
Out of everyone you told about the news, Julius was the most ecstatic to hear. He practically told Marx to broadcast this whole wedding similarly to the broadcast of Captain's team fight and you had to explain to him that you want it to be private and intimate. Marx stepped in and had to scold Julius, saying something like "Just because you're a Wizard King doesn't mean you get to dictate someone's wedding! You should be doing paperwork not planning over wedding sitting list!" and Julius just pouted and said "But William is like my son." and he turned to you and cheerfully say, "You're of course like a daughter to me too, Y/N!" and continued rambling about Wedding details while you sneakily left the room.
"Those two!" you laughed and made your way to the Black Bull's base to ask for their help, Charmy for the food buffet and Finral for invitation delivery. Finral was clearly exasperated at his own circumstances of being single and wanted to get married like you and William too and you had to assure him that someone will come and love him as much as you love William but Yami just snorted at your words to Finral and added "Do you need me to sort out your booze selection?" and Vanessa said she'd help with that too but you declined both of their help as you walked out of the base, "Seriously, how can this squad survive with a captain like that." you laughed but remembered that Yami is one of the most dependable man even with his questionable actions.

"Ha...seriously! It's never-ending." you said as you plopped your head to the table, softly knocking the woods with your forehead repeatedly when a hand came sliding to protect your forehead from the bump,
"Y/N, don't bruise yourself like this." he laughed and made you face him, "Tell me love, what's bothering you?" his smile seemed to comfort you instantly,
"It's just...with the wedding preparations." you sighed.
He was always there to help you, but he also has his duties as a Captain so he left the Wedding preparation in your hands, perfectly knowing that you're capable of it. He'd ask about your progress and leave a kiss on your head and forehead after saying "You've got this, love." as he marches to his daily duties.
But today, he clearly saw how this task had burdened you and he felt incredibly guilty for it.
"Is it much more than you can bear?" he asked and you nodded, him pulling you to his body and circling his arm around your waist,
"Should we call off the wedding then?" he added, and you never jumped out of his embrace as quickly as then, "W-WHAT?"
He smiled mischievously, pulled you back into his embrace and laughed softly, "I am just kidding, dove." he caressed your hair and you soften considerably, "Why would I be so silly to lose a woman like you." he pulled back enough to be able to see your face, resting his forehead on yours, his scars softly grazing your forehead. "I will ask Alecdora to cover for me for a while." he paused, "Let's relax for a bit, and I'll help you with the rest of the preparations." he knew it wasn't enough, he wanted to help you from the beginning, he didn't want to burden you with anything if he can, but his duties was also very important to him.
You giggled at how close your face is to him and smiled, "That would be greatly appreciated, Captain!" and he chuckled, "I'm not your Captain, love." and it's true, because you're not a magic knight and you don't belong to any of the squad, you're just a woman who associates with their kind. "Tsk..tsk..you'll be the Captain of our household, love." and with that he blushes and smiled gently, "That, I am." his arms circling tighter around your waist, swaying you softly as if dancing to a music that only you two can hear, "Mrs.Vangeance." he announced softly, as if still not believing that you'd be his wife soon, "I can't wait to be with you forever." you smiled and he stopped swaying, took his gaze to the window and you followed, "Even nature agrees of us." he smiled as you both listen to the birds chirping on the strong branches of his trees, resting your head on his chest....you can listen to his nervous heartbeat that accompanies the beautiful melody the birds are singing.

He is a man of his words, that's why in the past few days, you always catch him in the dining room waiting to have breakfast with you when he's usually already deeply buried in paperworks by this time,
"Good morning, princess." he said while pulling the chair beside him for you to sit. "You don't have to do that, William." you'd always grunt but he'd always wave it off and keep doing it anyway, 'It's what a man should do.' was his reason.
"So...what's the plan for today?" he asked while pouring tea onto your tea cup.
"Hmmm~" you said as you bite the toast that you have already spread with butter, making incoherent noises as you eat and talk at the same time.
He chuckled and finds it rather quirky that you'd talk and eat at the same time but he was happy every time you gave him a smile whenever he finished wiping the food near your mouth with a napkin,
"We're mostly done with everything, just need to finish up the decorations and pick..." you paused, slightly looking away, "undergarments."
"Oh." even William didn't want to comment on that. "Well, let's get to it once you're finished eating then, love." he pushed the plate full of toast to you. "Yes, Captain!" and he could only smile at the woman who is about to become his wife.

You spend several days with him finishing up the things that needed to be done, he suggested to use his magic for decoration purposes and you were glad that you agreed because his magic was, just like him, beautiful in every way.
"Oh, William! That looks wonderful~" you said in awe when you see the big tree covered in flowers in the middle of the area. He'd bashfully rubbed his neck and look at you, "You think so? I would have thought you would be bored of my magic by now." he smiled, and added "I'm glad that I can still surprise you once in a while.".
"Silly! You surprise me all the time! I fall in love again and again with you every day~" you added a cheesy line and poke his nose which earned a soft growl from him. "Don't do that in public, Y/N. That's embarrassing." he protested with a small pout on his lip, but his coy behaviors only made you want to tease him more and he'd protest again but he knew he'll lose the fight every time.
Once the decorations were finished, it was time for you to face the dreaded moment of choosing an undergarment with him. You protested and said that you can go with the girls but he protested back by saying that he has already cleared his schedule and Alecdora kept shooing him away from his office so that he can spend time with you, and you both sigh at Alecdora's persistentness.
It would not have been an embarrassing and awkward moment for you two had you love-birds had already done 'it'. You've stated your desire for it occasionally, leaving hints and lingering on his room longer than intended, telling jokes that were inappropriate and bragging about your friends who have done it with their partners, one time you've had enough of his ignorance and straight up told him, "I want to sleep with you." which made him sigh and take your hand onto his, "Dear Y/N, I know of your desires. I am not innocent and don't think that I don't want the same thing you do." his cheeks going red, "But, I want to do this the right way with you. I know you probably want to do it now, but I want to keep and protect you until the day comes that I can lavish you fully." he explained, "when we are married." and added.
You were frustrated and it wasn't fun dating a goody two shoes when all your hormones was exploding here and there but you've never found a man who wanted to protect you instead of taking advantage of you, and that's when you knew that he is special and you'd honor his wishes for your own good. "Okay?" he asked, "Okay." you said. [[[ p.s: did you get the reference to this? he he, let me know if you did! teehee. ]]]
And yet all that good behavior have led you two to this awkward moment when you entered the undergarment shop. He wasn't much of an help with him looking away and saying things like "I'm sure you know which is best, love." so you shooed him off and told him to do something else with his time. He again wanted to protest but he also knew that he wasn't much of an help there and the idea of you in those undergarments displayed at the shop made his head spin, so he left to wait at a nearby cafe outside.
Once seated near the open area, the waitress came with hot tea which he smiled politely and said his thanks. He pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket and started dribbling words, "Uh..I can create a plan to save the Kingdom but I can't even write a vow..." he smiled at his own innocent fails, "What am I going to do?" he groans softly out of frustration after scratching out a hundredth time on his vow drafts. He remembered the time he first showed his scars and told you of his past, the time you've cried because he was too busy doing his duties as a Captain, the time you'd defend him when someone made a nasty remark on his involvement with the elves, and even after all that major part, he finds himself smiling through the little things you get to spend together too, especially in the past few days of preparing your wedding, the way you'd hold his hand and make excuses so that you don't have to go home and have more time with him, the way you blend in perfectly with his comrades and his dearest friends, Yami and Julius. The way you'd notice his every feeling and smile at his shy behaviors without any judgements. "No one prepared me for this much love." he sighed and felt his heart becoming whole from thinking how you and him will never be apart after this.

"Are you ready, Y/N? We're so excited for you." Vanessa had said as she brushes your hair at the morning of your wedding day,
"I'm so nervous Vanessa." you looked at her and she smiled at you, "He has been so gentle with you, you are in good hands, Y/N." and continued brushing your hair when a knock came from the door. Vanessa ran to the door and was taken aback when she saw the man behind the door, "Oh? Shouldn't we be meeting you later?" she squinted at him but disappeared for a man to walk into the room.
"William? You shouldn't be here in here!"
"I know, I know, love. But..." he made quick steps to you and held you tightly before pulling you back slightly, he rest his forehead on yours and you can feel his soft breath on your face, "Forgive me. I just...." he paused, "I got so nervous and I just had to see you." he pulled you into him again to close the gap and rest his chin on your shoulder, "You're the only one who can calm my nerves." he sounded so much like a helpless wreck seconds ago, but his body quickly relaxes as you caress his head. "I'm here, William~"
He sighed softly as a sign of relief and again rested his forehead on yours. You came to realize that every time he does this, it's a sign of his vulnerability and wanting to be held, and also as a sign of the trust he has for you. "I'm sorry that you'll be stuck with this for the rest of your life." he said, referring to himself.
You smiled to him and said, "There's nothing I'd like more, a lifetime of falling in love with you."
"Through bad and good?" he asks,
"Through bad and good." you confirmed and he kept you in his arm for the longest time until the door was open abruptly by Vanessa, "Come now lover boy, it's time for her to get ready."
he smiled and placed a soft kiss on your cheeks, "I'll see you soon." he paused as if thinking whether he should say the next word or not, "wifey." he finally said but not without having his cheeks burning red.
You were slightly shocked at his choice of words and Vanessa seemed to be holding her laughter. "Thank you for taking care of her, Vanessa." he bowed to her as he walks out of the room.
"Now now, Y/N. What a lucky woman you are to have such a gentleman as a husband! All the boys at the base are rowdy hooligans." she complained though you know she'd not change a thing about them,
"Yes, what a lucky woman I am." you smiled.

You could literally feel your heart pounding when Yami offered his hand to you with his cigarette still stuck between his teeth, "You ready, Y/N?"
You both agreed that Yami would walk you down the aisle since your family have their duties on a different kingdom, it only took them one meeting with William for them to approve of their soon to be son-in-law.
You took a deep breath and received his big hand, "Don't worry. I'm sure he's more of a nervous wreck than you heh." he laughed lowly while guiding you off the door and to the aisle,
Time seemed to stop for you and William especially when you appeared in front of everyone. You gulped and took in the view, Julius grinning like the child he is, The Black Bulls excited to see their Captain doing something good for once in his life, and even the elves were there, Patry...a long-lost friend of William was smiling warmly at you as if saying 'Thank you for taking care of my dear friend.', and on top of all that, William standing at the end of the aisle with a longer front of the usual cape used in the Golden Dawn with a touch of luxurious fur at the top. He truly looked like a Prince to you, even as he is trying so hard to hold back his happy tears.
"Ha, you better not ruin this, Will." Yami said as you two arrived at William's standing place, "I pledge my heart to try as best as I can for her, Yami." William smiled as he took your hand, guiding you so that you stand in front of him.
"What a beautiful couple we have here." The priest said with the earnest smile to the crowd, and the crowd cheered on for you two, Black bull being the loudest.
"We are gathered together to witness the union of these two by love."
"William, do you take Y/N to be your wife, to live, be happy and endure together in marriage? Do you promise to love, comfort, protect and honor her in better or worse, in rich or poor, in sickness and health, and be faithful to her and only her till death do you part?"
"I do." he said,
"Y/N, do you take William to be your husband, to live, be happy and endure together in marriage? Do you promise to love, comfort, protect and honor him in better or worse, in rich or poor, in sickness and health, and be faithful to him and only him till death do you part?"
"I do." you said,
"I now pronounce you husband and wife!" and it was like the whole pressure of the wedding planning has been taken off of you and now you're just greeted with endless joy as he uncovers the veil that hid your face.
"Beautiful, as always." he said.
"KISS! KISS! KISS! KISS!" Luck and Magna had chanted and everyone soon followed,
You two looked at the Priest and he just smiled and shrugged, "Well you have got to give the crowd what they want."
William smiled in defeat and pulled you in for a soft and lingering kiss. "Mine, forever." he said.
"Yours, forever." you giggled.
And the crowd erupted especially Yami with his endless "Let's go to the booze business now!" and with that you are now husband and wife, bound together by the thing you both share, that is: a love for each other.

When the party died down and you said farewell to the last guest, you find your heart beating loudly from the idea of being alone with William.
He was also having problems on trying to hide his nervousness, it was painfully obvious that you two knew what was to come.
"So...." you said, and he let out a small nervous laughter, "So...." as he pulled you to him to a designated bedroom,
"Ready?" he said,
"For what?" you asked, trying to sound innocent,
He knew that you are not innocent, but he entertained your playful manner anyway, "Ready to live your life with me?"
You were taken aback by his answer and you flash him the most genuine smile, "From this moment, our life has begun."

Hi loves! So sorry for taking this long to update this part 2 of the Valentine's special!
I had intended it to be super short but it somehow ended to be longer than I expected (as always SIGHS, LOL). Super duper sorry if some part were really cheesy! I was trying to get into the mood but after reading it again, I think some part were quite too cheesy hur hur, but I hope it made the butterflies jumped anyway! (not from cringe I HOPE HAHAHAHHA).
p.s: honestly the hardest part for me was trying to write William's wedding day outfits LOL. I was going to put him in a black suit but decided that it's probably not a good idea lel so I googled Licht and Tetia's wedding (and said a silent prayer that the wedding doesn't end up like theirs lolol. What if the elves just started killing everyone for revenge (like the Red Wedding from Game of Thrones wedding-) gulps.
Anyway, I was really inspired to write this after listening endlessly to Shania Twain's From This Moment On. I grew up listening to this music at people's wedding and somehow forgotten about it only to rediscover it lately, and I just love how old love-songs are just so pure, gentle and loving.
I wanted to write about someone to showcase this newly perception of love to me, and one person came to mind, WILLIAM! HAHA. The only other candidate is Licht to be honest because he is also very gentle, but I have a request of Licht x Tetia in my ask and I'M SUPER DUPER EXCITED TO WRITE FOR THEM TOO!
Truly I also wish that everyone gets a partner that loves, protect and care for them as much as William with his s/o in this story. I've been through lots of broken relationships and my ideas of love have been so tainted and ruined until I had a chance to reflect about it again these past few months and I'm thankful to be introduced again to these type of slow, innocent, always protecting kind-of-love.
