Asami joined the group sitting next to Korra. She was surprised when Korra wanted her to stay.
Lin: "first and last name"
Mako: "Mako Suzuki"
Bolin: "Bolin Suzuki"
Korra: "Korra and Kai Johnson" she spoke for Kai
Lin: "wait your last name is Johnson too?"
Korra: "no, I don't have a last name"
Lin: "whatever you say kid" she wrote the names down "the bodies that were reported diseased were part of the red lotus?"
Mako: "yes"
Lin: "what was their cause of death"
Korra: "me" she cleared her throat
Lin: "all 6 of them?" She earned a nod 'holy fuck' She continued "aren't you part of the red lotus?"
Korra: "yes"
Lin: "so why kill your own people"
Korra: "I was lied to, they made me think we were doing the right thing, thinking the white lotus were the bad guys, I found out the truth and had to stop it before it got out of hand"
Lin: "and how'd you find out the truth?"
Korra: "I went to the organization and went through the files and documents"
Lin: "were you the ones who attacked Phil during his delivery?"
Bolin: "yes"
Lin: "what for?"
Mako: "the blueprints Hiroshi was sending out to you"
Lin: "how'd you know about the blueprints?" She noticed as the boys looked down
Korra: "during the after party of the car show" she sighed "we installed cameras around the Sato estate"
Asami: "woah" she was shocked "what?"
Bolin: "don't worry we didn't put any in the bathrooms" he tried to make it better "but we did put them in your rooms but we blocked the camera from seeing anything, we just wanted the audio"
Mako: "Yeah, and you outed me to my brothers" he argued pointing at Asami
Asami: "how the fuck was I supposed to know there was a camera in my room"
Lin: "are the cameras still up?"
Korra: "yes"
Lin: "when did you attack?"
Bolin: "like around 4:50" he said "but Korra was at the south and Tonraq took over the mission"
Lin: "and who is Tonraq"
Korra: "my father"
Lin: "where is he now?"
Korra: "he's 1 of those 6 bodies you found"
Lin: "what else can you tell me about him" 'did she kill her father?'
Mako: "he was the best agent until Korra took his spot"
Lin: "and what did you do to earn that spot"
Korra: "I killed Gio Leiva 1 out of 3 leaders of the white Lotus, during a solo mission" she sighed "but this was before I found out about the White lotus"
Lin: "okay, I want to go back to where you mentioned files and documents" she looked through her note book "what were they about"
Korra: "I asked for Tonraq's files, Gio and Yasuko's documents, I also asked for a Sam Johnson but my father made him up so I wouldn't figure him out"
Lin: "who was this Sam Johnson supposed to be"
Korra: "Yasuko's kidnapper" she sighed "so when I got there they told me a sam Johnson never worked for them so I put two and two together, Tonraq was the original kidnapper"
Lin: "alright" she wrote everything down
Kai: "Korra?" He said in a low voice
Korra: "what's up?" She brought all her attention to Kai
Kai: "what now?"
Korra: "well, after I know you're safe I'll be leaving for one more mission" she whispered to him
Kai: "but you promised you wouldn't leave me again"
Korra: "I know and I'll come back to you"
Kai: "promise?"
Korra: "I promise" she gave him a smile
Lin: "Everything alright?" She asked unable to hear the low whispers
Korra: "yes" she sighed "can we have a break?"
Lin: "of course" she got up and left the room
Asami: "what mission?"
Korra: "oh um, I'm going to the organization"
Mako: "what!?"
Bolin: "without us?"
Korra: "I can't risk you guys getting hurt again"
Asami: "you can't go, you not fully recovered"
Korra: "I have to go now before they find out what I did"
Bolin: "you're not going until you recover"
Mako: "she shouldn't go at all!"
Korra: "I have to!"
Asami: "why?!"
Korra: "Because I promised your mom I'll come back for her!" the room fell silent
Asami: "what?" She didn't believe the words that came out of Korra's mouth
Korra: "they imprisoned her and faked her death" she sighed "I can't let her stay there"
Mako: "you're taking me with"
Korra: "no"
Mako: "I'm going with you and so is Bolin, We promised to stand by your side through any battle"
Korra: "idiot" she chuckled "for now we rest, tomorrow we leave"
Mako&Bolin: "yes ma'am"
Asami wanted to know more but she was interrupted by the door opening
Doctor: "that is enough for now, you need a break" he walked in
Korra: "I'm fine"
Doctor: "I know you want to continue but you need to rest as well" he turned off the machine "you gave him enough to steady his heart beat"
Korra: "when can I continue?"
Doctor: "in a hour or 2" he took off the tubes "for now rest, and I bet you haven't ate yet" he smiled and looked at Asami "are you Asami, I have teens looking for you"
Mako: "come on Korra" he grab the handles of the wheelchair "let's get you to your room... Bo get the girl a sandwich or something"
Bolin: "on it"
—2 hours later—
Korra woke up from her nap finding Mako and Bolin talking in the corner of the room, she yawned which called her brother's attention.
Mako: "what's the plan"
Korra: "the doctor said this is the last blood transfusion Kai needs, if I'm fine, we leave tonight if not we'll wait till morning, the sooner the better"
Bolin: "what do we do meanwhile"
Korra: "Bolin I need you to go to the house and get our equipment, Mako I'm going to need you to buy tickets use the money we have left over, the last thing we need is the organization knowing about our arrival"
Mako&bolin: "got it"
Doctor: "ready for your last blood transfusion?"
Korra: "yes"
The doctor took Korra to Kai's room, this time she walked, she wanted to test out if she'll at least be able to walk, if she couldn't the mission was a no go. But she managed to make it. The doctor set everything up and left the room.
Kai: "when are you leaving?"
Korra: "tonight or first thing in the morning"
Kai: "I wish I can go"
Korra: "hey Kai.." she earned a hum "thank you" she hugged him
Kai: "no Korra, thank you" he smiled "for everything" he hugged her back
Korra: "where's Jinora?"
Kai: "she went home and so did the others"
Korra: "alright" 'let's hope they don't get in the way'
—20 minutes later—
Asami walked into Kai's room finding Korra asleep with her head resting on Kai's bed, Kai was asleep resting his hand on Korra's hair. She noticed the machine was still taking blood from Korra and giving it to Kai. 'They're so adorable' she was about to leave but a faint voice called her
Korra: "Asami?"
Asami: "I didn't mean to wake you"
Korra: "it's fine" she lifted her head having Kai's hand fall back to the bed "I've been wanting to talk to you, I know you have questions" she yawned "have a seat" Asami took her seat next to Korra
Asami: "is my mom actually alive?"
Korra: "yes, I've talked to her"
Asami: "really? About what"
Korra: "she was the friend that confirmed her kidnapper"
Asami: "what's she like?"
Korra: 'poor girl doesn't even know what her mom's like anymore' "she looks like you but is the opposite of you" she chuckled
Asami: "really?" She smiled
Korra: "you have her beauty, but you got your dad's personality"
Asami: "does she know you know me?"
Korra: "I didn't tell her, but you managed to call me at the perfect time, she saw the name tag on my phone and saw it was you" she smiled "I put you on speaker so she can hear your voice"
Asami's eyes began to water, Korra noticed and held the girl to comfort her. Asami was great full to have someone like Korra to walk into her life.
Korra: "don't worry 'sami I'll get her back to you" she sighed "and I'm sorry for lying to you and hiding things"
Korra moved away from the girl to have a look at her, she gave Asami a warm smile. Asami couldn't help but connect their lips into a passionate kiss. Korra groaned at the sudden action, but she kissed back. Asami broke the kiss and looked into Korra's eyes.
Kai: "if I die I hope that's not the last thing I see" he made the two jump back
Korra: "Jesus Kai, where's the warning"
Kai: "I'm going to disturb your make out session don't get scared" he laughed
Korra: "smart ass" she groaned
Doctor: "how's everything going?" He came in
Kai: "I'm doing better"
Doctor: "that's good" he smiled as he turned of the machine "how about you Korra?"
Korra: "light headed as fuck, but I think I'm good"
Doctor: "alright, I will have to keep you over night, taking this much blood from you can make you become more weaker than normal, so I'm going to need to keep my eye on you"
Korra: "okay" 'now I have to think of a way to leave this building. We might have to leave tonight'
Doctor: "can you stand?"
Korra: "I think so" she stood up causing her sharp pain but she had to hold it in her screams "yup" she smiled but she wanted to die to stop the pain
Doctor: "try walking"
Korra: "you got it" she let out a nervous chuckle 'you got this, don't be a little bitch' she took a step and she felt as if her hip was being sliced again 'fucking bitch' she took stepped one after the other not making a sound "see I'm fine" 'I have to do this mission'
Doctor: "huh, I guess you are fine, that's good" he smiled "let's go to your room and get you well rested
Korra: "alright" 'kill me now'
The three made it to Korra's room safely, Korra was proud of herself for not collapsing, she was thankful to finally be at her destination. Once inside the Doctor left the two alone.
Asami: "I'm not buying it" she crossed her arms as Korra sat on her bed
Korra: "huh?"
Asami: " I know damn well you are in pain"
Korra: "I'm fine"
Asami: "Korra?" she crossed her arms
Korra: "fine" she sighed "yes I'm in pain but I can't let him or Kai know that"
Asami: "the doctor I understand but Kai?" She sat next to the girl
Korra: "if he sees me like this he'll think it's his fault and I don't want him to feel guilty" the door opened revealing her two brothers
Bolin: "I have everything all set in the car, and I brought you a change of clothes" he tossed a bag onto the chair
Asami: "I think you should call it off, she can barely walk"
Korra: "I'll be fine I just need to rest"
Mako: "well it's 6:39 and the plane leaves at 3 in the morning"
Korra: "perfect"
Asami: "no not perfect" she argued "she needs a couple of days, she was stabbed twice and went through 2 blood transfusions"
Korra: "Asami I've already rested for 3 straight days and if the red Lotus hasn't come for me yet then they still don't know, once they find out they'll send someone to come and get me"
Asami: "I don't care, you're not going got it!" She gave Korra a glare
Korra: "but"
Asami: "no buts" she crossed her arms "you're waiting at least one more day"
Korra: "it's your mom we're talking about here"
Asami: "you think I don't know that!" She grew an attitude "it's better for you to rest and go prepared than go weakened and unable to defend yourself"
Mako: "she has a point"
Nurse: "visiting hours are over, if you have a pass that you're staying over night show them to me"
Mako and Bolin showed their passes to the lady while Asami was saying goodbye to Korra
Asami: "I'm gonna go, my dad wanted to talk about something over dinner" she looked into the girl's eyes "you're not going, not until you're better"
Korra: "alright" she was upset Asami wasn't letting her go
Asami: "hey don't be mad" she grabbed Korra's hand
Korra: "I'm not mad" she was clearly mad
Asami: "liar" she gave Korra a kiss on the forehead "goodnight" and walked out the door as she told the boys bye
—12:00–
Bolin: "you ready?"
Korra: "yup" she slipped on her blue hoodie with a groan
Mako: "you sure you don't want to wait another day"
Korra: "as long as I'm breathing, I'm going" she said sternly
They made their way outside the building without getting caught by security, doctors or nurses. The found their way to Korra's car only to find a figure leaning against it.
Korra: "shit"
