"So you're taking her out tonight?" Louis smiled as he stripped off his jersey.
I nodded with a smile, "Yeah. I guess I am. I'm extremely nervous."
"Why?"
"I haven't been on a date in like forever. And i-" I stopped, "I don't know, mate."
"You know its what Dawn would've wanted. For you to move on. I know it's hard because she was your wife."
I closed my eyes, "Yeah."
Louis touched my shoulder, "Are you okay?"
I nodded, "Just really, really, extremely nervous. I don't want to screw things up and-"
Louis chuckled, "Oh mate. Come on. I want to hear what you have planned and I'm sure El does to."
When we got to Louis's house, El was yelling at the girls. "Ugh, you two crazy monkeys are driving me insane!"
"DADDY! UNCLE NIALL!" Dottie and Maya yelled as they ran to us.
Dottie latched onto Louis, her light hair contrasted against her dad's. "Hi monkey!" He kissed her forehead.
"Hey red!" I hugged Maya.
"Niall!" Eleanor emerged from the living room. Her brown hair was barely to her ears, she'd cut it last week, despite Louis's pleads.
"Babe." Louis set down his daughter and kissed Eleanor. I looked away the second Louis's hand touched her butt.
"Louis stop." She pushed away, her face was red, "So, Niall. Are you staying for dinner?"
"Oh no. I have plans."
"What he means is, he has a date." Louis grinned.
El's face brightened and she squealed with delight, "Oh yay! I want to know everything." Her phone buzzed. "Oh my mother is here. I'm going to run the girls out to her and then when I get back. Niall." She smiled, "I want to know what you have planned for tonight. Now say goodbye to the girls."
After we said goodbye, the girls went outside. "Dick." I muttered as I followed Louis to the kitchen.
"El can give you some good advice. How many years have you been out of the game?"
I sighed as I pondered the question. "Well, dawn and I were for four years we dated four years before that. Dear God," I looked around, "Where's El?"
Louis laughed. The door opened and El came into the kitchen, "Louis, my mum wants us over for Sunday dinner."
"Okay. Ele, Niall needs your help. With girls. Because he can't get 'em." He elbowed me.
"Piss off." i smiled.
Eleanor laughed, "Alright tell me what you have planned." I began to tell her.
"Oh hell no." She shook her head when I was done. "No, no, no. That's all got to go. Niall James, why I am ashamed of you."
Leonora Williams
"You look beautiful." My mom smiled as I finished putting on my earrings.
"Thanks mom. I'm really nervous." I bit my lip.
My mom sat in my bed, smoothing out the wrinkles, "Why?"
"I don't know. I just have never really been on a real date."
"I know, honey. And I am so sorry."
"Mom, it's not your fault. I'm just scared I won't know what to do. Like what if we start talking and then run out of things to say. Or that I am going to have a meltdown in front of home. I don't want to mess this up. I really like him."
My mom smiled, "I knew you did. Nora, all I can tell you is," She stood up and grabbed my hands. "Have fun, and if something goes wrong or you run out of what to say, go to the bathroom and call me."
I smiled, "Thanks mom. Where's Kenny?"
"Your dad took him out to go to a movie so you don't have second thoughts." I looked down. "Nora, you owe this to yourself. Go have fun."
I looked up into her soft brown eyes and smiled, "Thanks mom." I hugged her. The doorbell went off. My mom tried to pull away. "One last hug, I'm really nervous."
