"Tommy where they hell are we?!" Wilbur said as he looked around in shock at the room and then the many tunnels that seemed secure, Tommy seemed a bit sheepish but also proud of himself as he helped up Fundy
"well- it was meant to be a way to travel underground without worry of being caught by Dream and his goons, but it seems to be perfectly useful now yea?" he said, and he sighed but he was relieved to see that his family was safe and he ran his hands through his soaked hair surprised as he was engulfed in a hug by Y/n, Tubbo, Fundy and Niki and was given a pat on the back by Wilbur.
When they were sure the explosions had stopped Wilbur slowly climbed out and helped everyone out and looking around he was filled with dread. Most of the buildings were in ruins and he fell to his knees as he felt like puking as he was filled with fear and he was hugged by Y/n and Fundy. Niki was looking for any useable resources but Tommy was pissed as he clenched his fists looking over his home and he marched to the gate where Dream was waiting arms crossed and a smirk but seeing Tommy emerge from the dust he frowned having wanted them to be dead but seeing Tommy practically untouched upset him greatly.
"Y-YOU GREEN BASTARD! This is it WE HAVE DONE EVERYTHING TO TRY AND WIN AS A NATION BUT IM SO FUCKING DONE!! Let's duel right now! Me and you a bow each and no armor!" he screamed at the royal prick before him who seemed to think a bit but in the time that took Wilbur and Y/n had gotten up and ran over to try and stop Tommy as there was a panicked attempt of reasoning
"T-Tommy no- you can't-only-but i- y-yo-you" Y/n's usually calm and soothing voice was rushed and panicked as she trembled trying to calm "Tommy you can't- h-he-.....it's not w-worth it" she finally got out. She wanted to say so much more but Wilbur didn't want Dream to know they were related by blood if he could help it or anything else personal, but it was hard since they were as close as you could get as siblings. Tommy was still pissed but seeing her so scared he sighed and seemed to calm a bit as he looked to the side in shame at his home in shambles
"Don't go soft on me now Tommy- Don't you want to even try?" dream hissed, and he seemed pissed quite honestly that he would even be challenged like this but even the small insult threw him over the edge and Tommy had to be held back again as Dream smirked seeing him seethe in anger, he was absolutely beyond pissed.
"TOMMY STOP!!" Wilbur hissed but his harsh words did nothing, and he sighed softly "Dream, I don't condone what he's doing but if you're both really willing to do this...I...I'll allow it..." he said trying to keep himself professional but anyone could tell he was being overwhelmed by the stress of Tommy's poison filled curses, Y/n's whimpers of fear and attempts at reasoning, Niki's soft cries and even just the sounds of Fundy trying to rummage around for anything good still.
"I'LL DO IT! IF I WIN WE GET FREEDOM!" Tommy Shrieked as he gently pushed Y/n away from him so he could be more face to face with Dream as he was shaking with rage
Dream grabbed the more lanky boy by his collar and he held him up not letting his feet touch "And if I win I expect white flags and that stupid fucking disc of yours" he said and he dropped him and he crossed his arms after pushing him away a bit roughly only to be caught by Y/n who was speechless and horrified by what Will had just agreed to do. "tomorrow on the bridge at noon...." he left after that quite quickly to get home and prepared leaving Tommy stunned, Y/n terrified and Wilbur once he realized what he had just set Tommy up for was even more petrified by what he had coming for him.
"....how could you...he's going to be slaughtered.....HOW COULD YOU!" Y/n took hold of Wilbur's overcoat and he shook him as she herself trembled terrified by the thought of losing her brother and tears streamed down her face "Why did you have to r-run your mouth?! All you had to do was say no and we could still have a ch-"
"WHAT?! A CHANCE?! ANOTHER CHANCE TO DIE LATER?! I've done EVERYTHING I could up until now! I don't see you doing ANYTHING to help!!" Wilbur snapped shoving her lightly but the moment that it left his mouth he regretted it. Her hands loosened from his coat as her face contorted into further pain and she let go of him as she stumbled back a bit almost cowering away. Seeing her act like this petrified Wilbur, he panicked a bit as he saw as she was shaking "Y/n wait I-" he couldn't finish as he watched her back away more and he felt a lump in his throat.
Tommy who had been petrified as well made his way to his startled sister and he wrapped his arms around her and he pulled her close trying to comfort her but he was trembling a bit, "lets go for some air...." He said softly to her "I'll grab Tubbo and we can go calm down a bit ok?" he was only given a small nod but it was enough as he let go to call over Tubbo who had managed to find a good chest and put what they had left to avoid his siblings fighting.
Soon enough the three had managed to slip out leaving Niki, Fundy and Wilbur on their own for a bit. Tommy led them away from L'Manburg and the kingdom to a lovely flower field, it was small but it was hidden and they felt safe as they practically crashed there. Tommy let himself sprawl out in the grass and Y/n followed his lead letting Tubbo look at them and laugh a bit at his friends before he joined them.
The three laid for what felt like hours just in the open, no armor or uniforms on for once so if they were to get caught they couldn't be recognized too quickly. Y/n soon sat up and just looked around them seemingly out of it until she was nudged gently by Tubbo who looked concerned.
She was silent for a moment "why are we here anymore?..... why before even being able to have a drink or be adults really are we here instead of home.. Why did we join a war of a failing country? It's not even our real home for god's sake! We should be HOME w-with dad!" she finally choked out as her tears started to pool in her eyes again
Tubbo's eyes held remorse in them as he gently sat up and wrapped an arm around her but before he could speak Tommy was up in front of them "Y/n! we are here because we're in this together! Even if we went with dad you know Wilbur wouldn't! Salmonia was here and its Fundy's home so that makes it Wilbur's and we can't leave him here with a two-man army against a kingdom! Those bastards can't take everything from our family like that!" Tommy tried to argue and raise her spirits
"B-But what about you..... t-tomorrow...." Tubbo chipped in softly as he looked to the blonde who went quiet clenching his fists. "Tommy we need to step back.... We've lost Eret and so many others...we can't be a five man army either..." he spoke a bit slow as if trying to pick his words delicately
"Nothings going to happen.....we'll be fine.." Tommy tried to argue as he sat with them but was met with two sets of eyes that bore into him, one was Tubbos blue eyes filled with doubt ad then Y/n's fear filled E/c orbs making him frown "at least have a little faith in me- I've made it this far for a reason I can't lose dads disc like that-" he said crossing his arms and he was met with a slight smile from Tubbo but Y/n was still filled with worry as she gently squeezed Tubbos hand a bit. To Tommy his most valuable meant the discs his father had made for him and dream knew that they were important as they had mini fights over them for a while.
"Tommy I can't lose you.... or Tubbo...or Wilbur or anyone else.... Please Tommy.. don't leave... you can't" Y/n said weakly and she pulled them both into a tight hug. "we...we can leave...never look back and be happy.... We can leave this little disaster place and ju-just find dad" she tried but Tommy just sighed and shook his head as he held her gently.
"let's.....just end it ok.... what happens tomorrow happens...we'll be ok just have trust in Tommy ok? Then maybe we can go see Thomson and let him see our home?" Tubbo spoke trying to cheer her up and put a little more faith in her. While Y/n, Tommy and Wilbur were the closest siblings Tubbo, Y/n and Tommy were three peas in a pod and it could be said that they were even closer then siblings but this was new behavior from Y/n
After a bit they managed to stop the waterworks and Tubbo suggested they make flower crowns to lighten the mood. Only Y/n and Tubbo ended up braiding the flowers together as Tommy couldn't sit still long enough so they had him help find colorful flowers and soon there was a flower crown for each of them each made up of at least some pink carnations then Tommy's was adorned with amaryllis and yellow tulips after him Tubbos was made up of bits of lavender and begonia's, lastly Y/n had clematis and just a few crimson roses that left small cuts from the thorns on their hands.
They had to fight Tommy to wear his practically but when they got him to wear it Tubbo looked quite proud while Y/n just smiled softly at the blushing blonde who didn't make eye contact with them in embarrassment. They stayed in the field for a while just being kids and taking a breath from the madness around them until they noticed the sun starting to go a bit.
Tommy got up first pulling the other two to their feet "c'mon- Wilbur's probably going to kill us when we get back" he sighed as he imagined what his uptight older brother would do when they got home especially after the events of their hectic day, he held both of their hands tightly out of instinct as he led them towards their home.
