It's the next day, James mate we found yesterday had to stay at the hospital room throughout the night because Dr.Z said she had to be watched over after he checked on her and seen she was injected with wolfsbane which luckily didn't get to her heart or she would've been a goner. She hasn't woken up and we don't know her name, but the whole pack knows James found his mate, their Luna and my parents are so happy for him, especially Mom because she's been dying for a daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
Derek and I didn't finish our conversation but I plan on finishing it soon, Chris doesn't stop smiling at me, being nice to me, and staring at me, I like it but it's annoying that he is managing to revive the mate bond for Star and me. Right now I'm outside the door of my brothers mates hospital room, well it's not really a hospital it's just one two story building with like six rooms that are used for different things and we have three pack doctors, Dr. Zaul, Dr. Sam, and Dr. Lily.
"James, calm down, Z has this" I say as my brother paces the small hall, Z had to go in because my sister in law woke up and started freaking out causing her heart to pick up speed and the machine to go crazy. James lets out a frustrated sigh and sits next to me but then stands right back up as Z walks out
"She's okay Alpha, she's awake and ready to see you guys" He says, James smiles as Z walks off and stops his hands an inch from the door
"Open it!" I say
"Do I look okay?" He asks, I giggle
"James, you look horrible but open the damn door! I want to meet my new sister!" I say, he rolls his eyes then we enter the room to see the brown haired girl looking down at her hands, she looks cleaner than yesterday, Lily must have cleaned her up a bit. James slowly makes his way to her and I stay at the feet of her bed
"Hi, I'm Rose" I say, she looks up at me, green eyes wow
"Kingsley?" She asks and I nod slowly
"I'm James" My brother says and she looks at him, her green eyes brighten at the sight of him
"My mate" She says, he nods smiling a little making her turn pink
"What's your name?" He asks sitting down near her
"Samantha, but close friends call me Sam" She says, I smile
"Well Sam, you're now my sister so, I'll call you Sami" I say, she giggles
"Sam, what happened to you? We found you passed out and beaten in our lands, then the doctor found wolfsbane in you" James says, she turns pale looking down at her hands again
"Ian" She says, I look at my brother with furrowed brows
"Who's he?" I ask, she looks at me
"The guy that wants you all to himself. His men beat me wanting to take the one thing I have, my virginity, he stopped them for some reason but all he said was that I was going to be freed, if I lived long enough to deliver a message," She pauses ,"That he will come for you when you all least expect it, to train well because he will come in strong for the one that he wants and will kill whoever stands in his way of it" She says, I look at my brother then walk out of the room mind linking him to talk too his mate, to get to know her that I was just going to let everyone know that our Luna was okay.
My mom and all the other older she wolves are in the kitchen making dinner, a welcome dinner to our Luna Sami. I told the guys, Dave, Riley, Chad, Chris and Derek what she said, they all swore that nothing was going to happen to me, even Derek swore to it. I am currently on the roof of the pack house watching the stars slowly start to show then I smell my favorite scent, Derek, his scent is very nice to me, it's a smell of the woods, with a hint of sweetness and something else I can never put my finger on. I feel his presence next to me.
"I'm sorry" He says, I turn my head to see him already looking at me
"You don't have to apologize for anything. You did nothing wrong" I say, he shakes his head
"Yesterday, I was being a dick for a stupid reason" He says, I lay on my side holding my head up with my hand
"What was the reason" I say, he sighs
"Nothing" He says, I raise a brow but drop it, Derek is hard to get things out of, he is mysterious and keeps things to himself. I look back at the stars that are now fully visible and shining bright in the dark sky
"Chris spoke to me yesterday" I say and he stays quiet
"What happened?" He asks after a while
"He wants a second chance, a chance to prove he isn't the same as three years ago, that he regrets what he did and that he wants to be with me" I say, he stays silent again, this time for longer
"Are you?" He asks
"Am I what?" I ask turning on my belly and looking at him
"Are you going to give him the second chance?" He asks looking at me, I stare into his hazel eyes, his stare on me sends electricity through my body and Star gets all jumpy
"I don't know" I whisper, I move my head onto his chest to look at the sky again, he puts one arm of his under his head as a pillow and with the other he starts to play with my dyed strands of hair
"Why don't you know?" He asks
"The mate bond for Star and me is coming back to life, Chris is reviving it somehow and part of me likes it but the other doesn't want it to come back to life. I don't know why, I just don't know" I say, he runs his fingers through my hair making me close my eyes, I love when people play with my hair like this, it's soothing.
"Do what makes you feel true happiness, if it's next to him then be with him, if not then don't be with him, fight the mate bond and be with the one that brings you true happiness" He says, I smile then open my eyes to make eye contact with him
"You're the best Derek" I say, he chuckles
"I know" He says smirking
"Now you ruined it" I joke making us both laugh then we see James coming with Sami, talking, smiling and laughing. We both rush through the window and go downstairs
"They're coming!" I yell, the whole pack goes beserk, the older she wolves and my mom are making sure the table is set, the rest are just getting to place and the men are trying to hold the children still, my dad is with my mom calming her down, the Black Moon pack are just trying to help the Red Moon make their new Luna's greeting nice.
The front door starts to open and we all stop and smile then James walks in then Sam and her eyes widen at the amount of people here, it's a lot of people, Red Moon pack isn't that big but some Black Moon wolves are here too so the entrance of the pack house is full and it makes the pack house look small when it's not. The Red Moon pack members all bow their heads to their Luna
"What are they doing?" She asks looking at James and he chuckles
"Bowing down to their Luna, you" He says, her eyes slightly widen looking at everyone and they raise their heads then my parents step up
"I'm James mother, Susan, but you can call me mama. Gosh my baby boys mate is so beautiful" Mom says smiling, Sami blushes
"I'm his father, John, but you can call me papa, and my wife is right, you are beautiful" Dad says, Sami looks down blushing harder
"Give her room to breathe" James says giving our parents the look and they roll their eyes but back up. I smile at James and he grins at me then dismisses the pack to the table and he leads Sami to her chair, us Black Moon members stay behind and go outside, I convinced them to leave us out of it because we aren't part of this pack, that we were going to do parole tonight.
Chad, Dave and Riley shove each other while the other warriors go to their stations and I stay walking next to Derek
"You should be in there" He says, I look up at him
"Where?" I ask
"In there, with your family. You're a Red Moon via bloodline, you should be in there with them all" He says, I roll my eyes
"Derek, don't start. I'm a Black Moon, ever since three years ago, I've been a Black Moon and I'll always be a Black Moon until death takes me away. This is where I belong, I can feel it in me" I say, he sighs
"Whatever then, do you" He says, I groan
"Why have you been so mad at me lately?!" I ask stopping by the trees and he stops ahead of me
"I'm not mad at you Rose" He says not turning around to face me
"Well you sure are acting like you are. Since yesterday you've been acting weird, what's up with you?" I ask and he sighs
"Nothing, I guess I just miss being on my own lands, I'm worried that something will happen to you, I don't know these lands so that's also bugging me" He says turning to me
"Derek, nothing will happen to me. I can defend myself, you and the guys are with me, and we'll be back on Black Moon land in no time. Stop stressing" I say walking to him and I hug him, he hugs me back and tightens his grip around me
"C'mon stop distracting me and let's get to keep watch" He says and I roll my eyes
"You're the one doing the distracting" I say and he chuckles as we start to walk deeper into the woods looking around with our wolf eyes because they can see clearer in the dark than our human eyes can.
We stop by the end of the pack house territory, the rest is still pack territory but there are wolves out there already and we are to watch this area up to the point. I go one way and Derek goes the other, we don't go too far from each other though, we just stand a couple feet away. I then get a strange feeling go through my body, Star gets on full alert
"Something isn't right" Star says to me and I agree with her, I look around cautiously and slowly, then look back to Derek and see he isn't there. I slowly make my way to where he was but I can't see him, I sigh when a nasty smell hits me, it's not strong and I know why, the rouge used something to try and hide its scent. I look around and let out a low growl.
"Shh, it's just me, I came alone" I see a pretty attractive guy walk out of the darkness in shorts, the disgusting smell is harder as he gets closer, he's the rouge
"Who are you?" I ask keeping my guard up
"Ian" He says and that name sounds familiar, then I remember, Sami said that's the guy that wants me to himself, I growl at him making him smirk
"You know of me" He says, we start to slowly walk in a circle
"You can't have me, I'd rather be dead than be with you" I say even though I wouldn't really mind it since he is attractive but he's a creep
"I know you find me good looking, you haven't stopped looking at me" He says with that stupid smirk on his face
"That's one thing, now get you're attractive creepy ass away from me" I say and he chuckles
"Look Rose, I'm not going to stop until you're mine, you're a very powerful wolf, I bet you didn't know that" He says, I furrow my brows, what is he saying?
"Powerful?" I ask and he nods
"I'm surprised your parents haven't told you this, but then again you have been gone for three years. Anyways, that mate isn't your true mate, he is your mate but not the mate for the type of wolf you are. That's why I need to kill your true mate and I will, and you won't know who that is until I kill him" He says and now I'm confused.
"What the fuck are you talking about?!" I yell, he smirks evilly
"You'll soon see, keep training your people, they'll need to be in good shape to take me and my pack down" He says
"Who is my true mate?! What are you talking about that I'm powerful?!" I ask, he just laughs then runs off in full wolf speed not giving me a chance to grab him, I growl loudly in frustration then Derek shows up.
"Rouge" He says, I nod
"Where the fuck were you?! It was that sicko that wants me to himself, he got my mind all fucked up now" I say and stomp my way out of the woods, Ian's words repeat in my head, Chris is my mate but not my mate? Because I'm a powerful wolf and I have a true mate that isn't him and I won't find out who that true mate is until Ian kills him, fuck.
I need to talk to the moongodess but first to my parents, they have a lot of explaining to do. I am snapped out of my thoughts when I am pulled to a stop and turned around
"What did that mutt say to you?" Derek asks
"Shit that my parents know of, that they haven't told me about myself and my wolf" I say
