Lots of wolves walk through a forest. They follow a white wolf. My gaze zooms in on the white wolf. The white wolf has turquoise eyes. That's me! Behind the white wolf is a black wolf with red eyes. Elijah. And two black and white wolves walk between them. One slightly bigger than the other. They both have the same eye color. Purple. What? What is this? Who are the little wolves? Is it the kids from the pack? Before I can think any further I feel a nauseous feeling going through me. I wake up and the image of the wolves leaves my mind. I have to go to the bathroom, and quickly. I jump out of bed and dash to the bathroom. When I get there I throw up in the toilet bowl. Where does this come from? No idea. Well actually, maybe.
Elijah comes into the bathroom and pulls my hair back. After a few minutes I finally stop vomiting. I carefully stand and Elijah hands me a cup of water. I accept it gratefully and take a sip to wash away the bad taste in my mouth. "We are going to the hospital today," Elijah says. "This cant be good." Oh no not going to happen. "No, not necessary. I know what's going on." He looks at me with a clear question in his eyes. But I cannot answer his question. Not yet. I pass him and go to our room to change.
I pack sportswear, gray pants and a pink sports top. I slowly walk downstairs and see that everyone is already at the table, Elijah too. When I walk into the dining room, the conversations stop and they look at me. Great, now everyone knows. Without looking at them, I walk to the kitchen to get something to eat. There are still a few things and two apples. I grab an apple and walk outside, ignoring the eyes of everyone in the dining room. First I walk a bit while I eat the apple. I'm already thinking about the route I'm going to take. I'm probably going to walk a bit on the edge of my territory. Yes, that will be the route. When the apple is finished I throw the core ( remains of an eaten apple) in a garbage can and go for a jog. On the way I meet half the pack. I greet them all nicely and sometimes stop to have a conversation. When I get to the forest I suddenly get very dizzy. So dizzy that I have to grab a tree to keep from falling over. I stop like this for a while until the dizzy feeling subsides. Then I immediately start jogging again. After a while I arrive at the playground with the five swings. I slowed my pace until I walk. There is a girl on one of the swings. I keep walking.
A moment later I hear someone calling my name. I turn to the sound. It's Lizzie! I jog over to her and squat down so that we are about the same size. "Hey big girl." I say to her as I toss through her hair. "Hey" she replies. "Shall we walk?" I nod in response. I have noticed she really is an outdoors person. We walk along the edge of the forest when I get dizzy again. Lizzie frowns. "Are you OK?" I take a deep breath. "Yes of course." She stops walking and looks at me with concern. "Are you sure?" I like that she is worried about me, but it is not necessary. "Yes"
It's already noon and I just brought Lizzie home, so I have some time for myself. I go to the lawn, which is my second favorite place in the pack, ranked # 1 with being Elijah. Duhhh. I walk to the lawn and lie down on the grass. I now have time to think about what is happening to me today. 1 I have to throw up. 2 I am dizzy. 3 My period is late. Yep, I already understand. I'm pregnant.
