"I'm not pretty..." she trailed off while looking at the ground. She remembered all those times when people bullied her and abused her verbally. A lump formed but she swallowed it trying to be brave, trying to show how it didn't affect her when people told her she wasn't pretty, she wasn't attractive, she wasn't.....

"Beautiful... You're beautiful." His voice broke the chain of thoughts and his smile made everything okay.

She kept walking, leaving a trail of footprints behind her. The blue water was hitting shores in a rhythm and sun was glistening in the sky. A small smile graced her lips when he squeezed her hand raising an eyebrow. She just shook her head. 
"You think too much!" he said. 
"I'm not thinking I'm listening." She answered. 
He smiled softly knowing he couldn't beat her with words. "What are you listening to?"
"My thoughts!" she smiled cheekily, "And your heartbeats!"

She felt like her heart was going to explode. She felt like she was losing it for once and for all. A small wave of tears made their way down her soft cheeks like kissing them in the gentlest way. 
That night she understood one thing, "You can't hold it forever. Sometimes you need to let go."

A roar of a motorbike broke her chain of thoughts. She looked up to find her past, passing by a blur. 
A small sad smile spread on her lips. But she averted her gaze knowing he didn't want her anymore. Her place was already taken and again she was a lonely soul in this pathetic world.

He saw her and his lips curved into a beautiful smile, not a smirk but a smile. 

He looked around to find everyone gaping at him but he shook his head because of the realization that she was the only girl who bended and mended his cold broken heart and brought out that gentle part but at the same time she was the reason why his beast wanted to come out and rip anyone apart who would even look at her. He was that whipped. But maybe it was too late.
