"It's partay timeeee!" Izzy shouts walking into my room, Lydia following closing behind
"Yeah I'm not going anymore" I say lying down
"Why not?" Izzy asks
Lydia gasps, "did you and Alex break up?"
"No we didn't break up" i sigh, "I'm just not in the mood"
"But it will put you in that mood" Izzy says cheerfully sitting down next to me
"Will it though" i say grumpily
"What's going on Lily?" Lydia asks me
"I just want to be on my own for a while" i say and they both look at each other
"Well if you change your mind we're going to be at the party" Lydia says and i nod before they head out.
It's been about two hours since they left for the party and I've just been staring at my ceiling, I've been missing home a lot.
Well, I've been overthinking every life decision I've ever made. Thinking about home and my grandad, all of the shit I'm going to have to do these next couple of months. It's getting quite overwhelming really.
I hear my phone buzz and I look over to my phone on my bedside table before answering it, "hello?"
"Lily, it's me your grandma" an old frail voice says making me smile
"Hi grandma, how are you?" I ask her
"I'm good, what are you up to?" She asks me, "I hope your having some fun!"
"Hmm well not exactly, I was invited to a party tonight but I'm not going" i tell her
"Why not?" She asks
"I'm just not in the mood I guess" I say
"Lily, you need to stop stressing" she tells me
"How do you know?" I ask
"I know everything. Anyway, your voice gives it away. Look, this is your time away from the pressure sweetheart, enjoy it. It's not going to be easy after you come back home, enjoy your time off. Have fun, live a little. Life's too short to mope around everywhere darling" she says and i nod
"Your right" I sigh
"Of course I am" she says and I grin to myself, "okay now get yourself to that party and have fun"
"Okay, I'll go" i say
"Great! I'll speak to you soon" she says
"Love you" i say
"Love you too" she replies for hanging up
I head over to my wardrobe before getting changed.
I head downstairs before opening the door to reveal Alex putting his hand out ready to knock and i laugh.
"What are you doing here?" I ask him
"I came to see why you deserted me at that hell hole by myself" he says and i grin
"Well we're going back to hell because I changed my mind" I say before walking past him towards his car
"You changed your mind" he repeats catching up to me and he grabs my wrist gently before spinning me around.
"mmm, I did" I reply as my arms form a loop around his neck.
"You look beautiful" he says and i blush looking away
"And so do you darling" i say before kissing him and i carry on walking to his car
"Alexander if you don't move your ass, I do have the right to commandeer this vehicle" I say
"Of course you do" he says before I hear him walk after me.
We get into his car and i fasten myself in, "we're picking up a friend before we go"
I narrow my eyes at him, "who?"
"Ryan" he says
"Ooi yay! I love Ryan" i say happily, "he's so funny and-"
"And you do realise your boyfriend is sat right next to you?" He asks me
"Don't you want your girlfriend and your best friend to get along?" I ask him
"Yeah there's that" he grumbles and i smile before looking out of my window
"So what are you doing this weekend?" He asks me
"Just working, I took some extra shifts" i tell him and he nods, "what are you doing?"
"Mike is making Ryan move in with me" he says and I look at him, "why?"
"Like 3 new kids are moving in? There isn't enough room so that dick is moving in with me" he says and i laugh
"It should be nice to have roommate" i say
He shrugs, "you have no idea how annoying he is"
"I think your just jealous of his comedic value" i say and he laughs
"I do not need his comedic value, I am a hoot!" He says and i laugh
"Great friends reference there" i say and he grins at me
It's not long before we pull up outside of the orphanage and Ryan rushes out.
He runs up to the car before bowing at me whilst I'm sat inside and i laugh before he gets into the car and greets me with, "your majesty"
"Hey Ryan" i say smiling
"What's up roomie?" Ryan says and i smile at Alex and he grumbles curse words
"Your lucky you have Ryan as a roommate, you know it could be a lot worse" i tell Alex as he sets off to Gracies house.
"She's right" Ryan chimes
"She always is" Alex grumbles
"So how was your day Ryan?" I ask him
"Good Lily, how was yours?" He asks
I shrug, "it was okay, a bit boring"
"That's to be expected, you didn't hang out with me until today" he says and i laugh
"That's true" I grin
"So I have a question" i say
"Go on" Alex says
"Why don't you go to the same school?" I ask
"Ryan goes to a posh academic private school because behind his idiocy some how he's smart" Alex says and i turn around to face Ryan in my seat.
"Really what's that like?" I ask him
"It's shit, everyone is so serious all the time. I can't hardly joke around" he says
"So that's why you joke around so much at home, you have nowhere to express yourself during the day" i say
Ryan stops moving and I can practically see the cogs turning in his head, "I mean I guess yeah, I've never thought about it like that"
"That means you have to be nicer to your bestie Alex" i say and he looks at me before looking away and I see a smile appear on his face.

"I told you she'd come" Lydia tells Izzy as we walk into the back garden, a drink in my hand away from the drunk teenagers dancing sloppily in the house.
"Yeah well someone changed my mind" i say with a shrug and I sit down next to Alex and Lexie.
"Alex" Ryan says happily holding two drinks in his hand, "one for you"
"I'm driving" Alex says
"I'll have it" i say instantly and Ryan laughs before handing me the other drink
"So Ella" Issac says and I look up to see him watching me
"Yes?" I ask
"We good?" He asks me
I nod, "we're good"
Why is he being nice?
"Truth or dare" Gracie sings before sitting down amongst everyone.
"For fucks sake" i grumble, "do they not have any other games to play"
Lexie laughs and I grin at her.
"Issac truth or dare" Lydia says
"Truth" he says
"What's the worst thing you've ever done?" She asks him
"I once stabbed a girls hand with a fork because I missed the plate of food and her hand was right next to it" He says and my jaw drops open
"Oh my god" Lydia says shocked and everyone laughs
"Mental" Alex grumbles and I giggle
"Alex truth or dare" Issac asks
"Truth" he says
"Is it true your a bastard orphan" Issac asks and I glare at him
"Shut the fuck up Issac" I hiss before I can stop myself
"Aww getting your girlfriend to stand up for you I see" Issac says
"Who does this dick think he is?" Ryan asks Alex and I look at Alex to see a glare planted on his face.
"Who the fuck are you?" Issac asks standing up and Ryan stands up, instantly towering over him and Issac backs away
"Alright calm down Ryan he's not worth it" Alex says standing up next to him, "trust me this guy can't afford to lose any more brain cells, there's nothing in there as it is"
I giggle and Issacs head snaps towards me, "shut up you dog"
"I'm not a dog, you looking like more of a dog than I do so fuck off you fat mother fucker" I snap and my eyes widen
What the fuck is wrong with me today?
I'm so short tempered.
Ryan let's our a wheeze off breath in laughter and Alex smiles at me.
"Your messing with the wrong guy" he hisses at me and he takes one step towards me aggressively and Alex is inbtween us in seconds
"Don't you fucking go near like that ever again or I swear to god I'll french fry you, you little freak" he snaps and I glance at Ryan who have a massive smile across his face.
He's enjoying this way too much.
I watch as Issac storms away and I sigh.
God, can't I have one day without drama?
