Mira's POV
Two days later
The past day has been really silent.
No mons on the streets.
The weather was a little rainy, but nothing too serious.
I was laying on the couch of our den.
"t-that f-f-flareon w-was s-so n-nice." I said to myself.
"I still w-w-wonder w-why?" I wondered out loud.
"he has been through some drastic events." Amber said, seemingly appearing out of nowhere.
"eeekk!!" I screamed out of fear, jumping slightly in the air.
I thought I was alone....
She stood in the archway, of the hallway.
I was watching my sister in shock.
"s-sorry s-sis. I didn't mean to s-scare you." She apologized.
"I j-j-just didn't expect y-you to be t-there." I said, blushing a little.
My sister padded over to me.
She sat down beside me, on the couch.
"sis?" my sister said.
...
"y-yes?" I said, looking at her.
"what's on your mind?" she asked.
...
I didn't know how to answer her.
"I-I d-don't know." I answered her.
My sister was looking closely into my eyes.
She can read pokemons eyes, to see if they are lying.
she hugged me, suddenly.
"s-sorry, sis." She apologized.
...
"why did she apologize?" I wondered.
"why?" I asked her.
She had damp eyes.
"I'm sorry, for doubting you"
"I tried to read you"
"I didn't believe your answer." She explained, hugging me closer.
"a-amber"
She looked at me.
"d-don't b-beat yourself up o-over a s-small m-mistake." I said, hugging her back now.
...
"b-b-but, I-I d-d-doubted y-you." She said, a tear going down her cheek.
"I-it's okay sis, I f-forgive you." I reassured her
...
She calmed down.
"w-w-what d-do y-you mean, d-drastic e-events?" I asked her, curious about what she said about the flareon.
"huh?" she said.
"the f-f-flareon?" I clarified.
...
"h-h-he said, t-that h-he hates to see other m-mons I-in pain." Amber said.
I was watching her with a questioning look.
"h-he spoke the truth, but t-there is s-something b-bigger." She answered my questioning look.
...
"I w-w-wonder w-what?" I wondered, out loud.
"it's probably something, he doesn't want to talk about." Amber said.
"y-yes." I agreed with her.
I looked at my paws.
They were still wrapped in bandages.
But, they felt a lot better.
I could pad around by myself again.
If they start to hurt, my sister would carry me.
My thoughts got interrupted, by a letter through the door slot.
Both me and my sister watched it for a second.
...
Amber stood up, padding toward it.
She picked it up with her jaw.
Padding back toward the couch.
She sat down beside me, and began reading it out loud.
"hello"
"you have been invited to a special announcement"
"please meet at the fountain at 01:00pm for clarification"
"this is a private message, only meant for the inhabitants of the den"
"don't be late."
...
"what a weird letter." Amber said, out loud."
"I w-wonder w-why I-its w-written l-like that?" I wondered, out loud.
"it doesn't sound like a message from chief rillaboom." Amber clarified
"n-no, I-it d-doesn't." I agreed with her.
...
"b-but." I started.
My sister noticed. "what's wrong, sis?" she asked.
"w-w-we w-would g-go to t-that f-f-flareon today." I told my sister, my ears going down.
"aww, don't worry sis"
"we'll visit him before we go to the announcement." She said.
"r-r-really?" I squealed.
"yea, we asked him to meet at 12:00pm." She reassured me.
I squealed softly.
...
"we'll go to him after breakfast." Amber told me.
"o-o-okay." I said softly.
Amber made us some delicious food for breakfast.
When we started eating, I savored the taste.
My sister always made the most delicious food.
"t-thanks f-for the d-delicious food, amber." I thanked her.
"aww, no problem sis!" amber responded.
After we ate our breakfast. We padded towards the door, side by side.
We left the den, padding toward the flareon's den.
While we were padding to the den, we noticed some water types around the village.
Some looked at us.
"w-w-who a-are t-they?" I asked my sister, softly.
"I d-don't k-know, stay c-close to me." My sister responded, also whispering.
I listened to my sister and padded closer to her.
Then, one stopped us.
"what happened to your paws!?" a poliwrath demanded to know.
"she scratched her paws..." amber said, defensively.
"are you sure!?" he asked, getting closer.
I got afraid, padding back slightly.
"I'm certain!" amber said, in a harsh tone.
The poliwrath eyed my sister closely.
He walked out of the way.
My sister pawed at me, she wanted me to follow her closely.
We padded past the poliwrath.
When we were far enough away, we whispered.
"who does he think he is!" amber whispered.
I didn't say anything.
We continued to pad towards the flareon's den, coming across several water types along the way.
When we finally arrived at the den, my sister knocked on the door.
...
Before my sister could knock again, the door opened.
"hello, please come in." the flareon said.
We padded inside the den, he quickly closed the door behind us.
He was leaning against the door.
...
We were watching him.
"did you two come across any water types on the way here?" the flareon asked us.
Me and my sister looked at each other.
"y-yes, one even confronted us." Amber said.
The flareon seemed to be thinking about something.
"they seemingly appeared this morning, out of nowhere." He said, looking at us.
"what did the confronting mon say?" he asked us.
"h-h-he w-wanted to k-know w-w-what happened t-to my p-p-paws." I answered him.
"hmmm." The flareon thought out loud.
"let's sit down." he said.
We both nodded.
The flareon sat down on one of the chairs.
Me and my sister sat on the couch.
"want some berries?" he asked.
My sister shook her head.
"we just had breakfast." She explained.
The flareon nodded.
"how are your paws?" he asked.
"t-they f-feel g-g-good, I c-can p-pad a-around a-a-again." I answered him.
"that's wonderful news!" he cheered.
I blushed slightly.
"talking about news, did you read that strange letter?" amber questioned the flareon.
He tilted his head "what letter?" he asked gently.
"It was a private letter." My sister said.
The flareons eyes got large.
"hold on." He said, getting up.
He padded towards the door, opening it slightly.
He stuck his head out the door, looking around outside.
Closing the door again, he padded back to the chair.
"what did it say?" he asked in a concerned tone.
"it was pretty weird." Amber said.
"we have been invited to a special announcement"
"meet at the fountain at 01:00pm for clarification"
"this is a private message, only meant for the inhabitants of the den"
"don't be late." My sister told the flareon.
"hmmm"
"seems more like an order." The flareon said.
Amber nodded, agreeing with the flareon.
"strange thing is." He began
"I never got one." He explained.
"that's strange, why didn't you get one?" amber asked.
I became nervous.
"s-s-sis?" I asked nervously.
She looked at me.
"d-d-do w-we h-have to g-g-go?" I asked her, In a scared voice.
"don't w-worry, sis"
"I'm t-there with you." Amber said in a reassuring tone.
I became scared, ears going down.
"w-w-why a-a-are a-a-all these w-water t-types a-around o-our v-v-village?" I asked her, beginning to shake from fear.
Amber hugged me.
"I-if y-you don't w-want t-to, then I'm n-not g-going." Amber said reassuringly.
I began to shake more.
"perhaps, I can come with you two." The flareon stated.
I looked at him.
"w-why would you want to c-come with us?" amber asked the flareon.
"well, it sounds important in a way." He said.
"and, If I was there with you two. All eyes would be on me." He explained.
"I'm also pretty curious, what it is about." He admitted.
I looked at my sister.
She was looking at the flareon In disbelief.
"w-why w-would you r-risk y-your p-position l-like t-that?" amber asked him.
...
"this is not a-about me, b-but about you t-two." He said in a reassuring tone.
My sister eyes lit up.
"I-I-if y-y-you w-want t-to." Amber said, making up her mind.
"gladly." The flareon said.
I calmed down when I heared that the flareon would come with us.
"hmmm, what to do in the mean time?" the flareon said out loud.
"ow, I know"
"I've wanted to explore the village for some time now, but never got the chance to." The flareon said.

"we can show you around." Amber suggested.
"I'd appreciate that." The flareon said.
"ok, let's go." My sister said.
The flareon grabbed the leaf bag he had a while back.
He got it around his left shoulder, diagonally to the right side of his body.
Also taking a map with him.
"ok, I'm ready." The flareon said.
Amber got out the door, beside me was the flareon.
We padded around the village, stopping at various places to explain what they were about.
At some point, we stopped at the battle fields.
I noticed an accessory shop.
"hey, that's the leavanny from the stall 3 days ago. I wonder if she still has that item I wanted?" I wondered to myself.
Then, I noticed a floatzel staring at me.
It was with two other pokemon, a prinplup and a dewott.
The floatzel was smirking creepily at me.
I got nervous from the water type.
it continued to stare at me, never looking away.
I didn't know what to do.
I became paralyzed from fear.
"h-hey?" the flareon said, waving a paw in front of me.
I snapped out of my trance.
"is everything alright, mira?" he asked in a concerned voice.
...
I nodded my head, hesitatingly.
The flareon tilted his head slightly.
He watched me for some seconds.
Then, he turned toward the group of water types.
They weren't watching anymore.
"hmmm, let's move on." He said.
I was glad when he said that.
We padded away from the battle fields area.
The flareon must have noticed my depressed emotion, because he was looking at me worried.
He didn't say anything however.
We continued to pad around the village, until It got near 01:00pm.
The sun was exactly at 12:55pm.
I noticed it and told my sis.
"s-s-sis, I-it's a-almost t-time." I said, still a bit depressed about the ordeal earlier.
"let's not miss it then." She responded.
We began padding towards the fountain.
When we got there, a big group of pokemon was standing around the fountain.
We padded toward the back of the group.
Then, two pokemon climbed onto the fountain.
I saw chief rillaboom standing beside this unknown pokemon.
"welcome, welcome." The unknown mon said.
"it's good to see that so many listened to the letter." He spoke.
"I'm chief swampert." He said.
I noticed that a really large amount of water types, standing behind the fountain.
I pawed at my sister "look at all t-the w-w-water types, b-behind t-t-the fountain." I told her in a nervous tone.
She noticed them as well "why are they there?" amber asked.
"that's must be the water 'explorer ' group. They don't look like explorers to me." Flareon said, also noticing them.
"w-w-who's t-t-that s-swampert?" I asked.
"hmmm, looks like their leader." Flareon answered.
We looked back at the two pokemon on the fountain.
"sadly, I have some bad news" The swampert said.
"it seems that a mon is missing from the village"
"the mon seemingly disappeared, we have not been able to locate him yet"
"the disturbing thing is, we found a dead tsareena in the forest"
"it may appear that the missing mon may be a betrayer"
"we have been searching for him since he disappeared"
"because of this, I've ordered my water types to guard the village from now on, until the betrayer is caught"
"it's important to stay indoors, as much as possible from now on"
"only mons with a proper reason have the permission to leave the village"
"remember, the betrayer is most likely hiding out in the forest"
"you're all dismissed." The swampert said harshly.
I was paralyzed.
Everything stopped around me.
My sister picked me up with her vines.
We ran away from the middle.
We stopped in an alleyway.
All three of us were silent for some time.

After we came to our senses, The flareon began to speak.
"a betrayer? " he said.
"s-s-sis, I-I-I'm s-s-scared." I said.
"don't w-worry mira, t-they won't get to y-you." Amber said, wrapping her paws around me.
"there is something else going on." The flareon said.
Amber looked at him.
"why do you think that?" she asked.
"why would a water type kill a grass type?" he asked.
"because it got in the way?!" amber spoke.
The flareon shook his head.
"that tsareena, was a guard"
"it guarded the front entrance with a breloom"
"if that breloom is alive, it means that the breloom is the betrayer"
"not because of its typing, but because it didn't help the tsareena"
...
"perhaps the breloom is plotting something." The flareon explained.
"okay, but why would it do that?" amber asked.
"he never liked chief rillaboom"
"whatever you do, don't trust any of these water types"
"especially not their chief" the flareon said.
"why would chief rillaboom allow something like this?" amber asked the flareon
"he didn't"
"did you see his face. He never agreed with anything"
"not even he knows what's going on at the moment"
"he needs to wait until he can take action, so he can confirm it all." flareon told us
"that's.......wow." amber said, impressed by everything the flareon just said.
We were all silent for a while.
I was hugging my sister as well.
"h-hey mira?" flareon asked.
I looked at him.
"what happened at the battle field?" he asked me.
"you've been rather sad since then." He stated.

"h-how did he know?" I wondered in my head.
I squeaked from embarrassment.
"it's okay sis" amber said, rubbing my back with her paw.
I didn't know what to do.
I wanted that item from the accessory shop, but I was too scared to tell them.
Then.
I felt a really soft tail stroking along my tail.
"calm down mira, we're here for you." The flareon said, reassuringly.
For some reason, his really soft tail, calmed me down.
A blush appeared on my face.
"do you want to say something, mira?" flareon asked me.
"I-I w-w-wanted s-something f-from t-t-the a-a-accessory s-s-shop." I said, nervously.
"how about we go there now, we'll be nearby." He told me.
I lightly squeaked, again.
"come sis, let's go to that shop." Amber said.
I lightly nodded.
We padded toward the battle field area again.
When we reached it, the floatzel was nowhere in sight.
I got happy, again.
"so, this is the store?" the flareon asked.
I nodded my head.
"we'll wait here, good luck." Amber told me.
I got slightly nervous when I padded into the store.
I saw the leavanny behind the counter.
Padding toward the counter made me even more nervous.
"hello, how can I help you?" the leavanny asked.
I flinched slightly.
"c-c-could I g-get t-t-that s-s-scarf, p-p-please?" I stuttered nervously, holding out a paw to the scarf.
"this red one?" the leavanny asked.
I nodded.
"sure! Here you go." The leavanny handed me the scarf.
Just when my paw made contact with the scarf.
Somemon grabbed my paw.
And took the scarf.
"eeepp!!!"
"hmm looks like you DID have one left!" a pokemon said, still holding my paw.
I began to shake from fear.
I looked at the pokemon....
It was the floatzel.
"hey! That one was for the glaceon!" the leavanny called out.
"I asked for one first! You lied about not having one!" the floatzel yelled at the leavanny.
The leavanny flinched.
I began to cry from fear.
"aww look at you! Why don't you run home to mommy!!!, hehehe!" the floatzel laughed at me.
That did it for me. Terrible Memories rushed back to me.
He released my paw.
I immediately ran to the door, crying loudly.
When I ran out, my sister embraced me open pawed.
Anshul's POV
I was waiting outside the accessory shop with amber.
Suddenly, mira rushed out the door.
Crying.
Sad.
Broken.
I was confused.
"mira!!! What happened?!!" amber asked the terrified glaceon, now hugging her closely.
Mira was shaking so bad, it scared me.
I padded closer to them.
I laid a paw on mira's shoulder.
She looked up at me.
"mira? What happened?" I asked really gentle.
She tried to answer.
"a-a-a f-f-floatzel s-s-stole m-m-my s-s-scarf, a-a-and g-g-grabbed m-m-my p-p-paw." Mira answered, completely terrified.
"woa woa woa!!! HE touched YOU?!!" I yelled.
She nodded.
Something in me broke.
I removed my leaf bag from my shoulder.
"amber?" I asked her.
"y-y-yes?" she answered.
"hold onto my leaf bag for a bit." I asked her.
"w-why?" she asked.
"to enjoy the show." I answered her.
"what sho-" she couldn't finish.
I padded towards the shop.
"w-w-wait!" amber yelled behind me.
I ignored her and entered the shop.
I saw a floatzel with a red scarf in his claw and a terrified leavanny behind the counter.
"you are lucky!! I'd report you to the chief without a second thought if you didn't give it for free!!!" the floatzel screamed at the leavanny.
"you have something that doesn't belong to you." I said.
He turned around.
"and what are YOU, pathetic fire type going to do about it!!" he screamed.
"simple, I'll pulverize your knuckles, if you don't give it back NOW!!" I told him.
He placed the scarf on the counter.
"ow this should be good." He said.
He used aqua jet on me.
I blocked the attack.
The attack knocked us out of the shop.
The both of us conveniently landed on the battle field in the process.
He didn't hesitate to fire a hydro pump at me.
I dodged the attack, now running toward him with quick attack.
To my surprise, he dodged it.
"he is fast" I thought.
I saw both mira and amber staring at me.
The floatzel ran at me with aqua tail, I used iron tail.
We began to duel with both moves, repeatedly hitting the two moves against each other.
When he started to lose control, he quickly got away.
He shot a water pulse at me, I shot a fire blast at him.
It completely obliterated the water pulse.
The surprised floatzel got hit head on.
"hgrgg I'll make you REGRET THAT." He screamed.
He did some weird dance.
When he was done, it began to rain.
He then used hydro pump.
I dodged it again.
I shot a shadow ball at him.
He dodged. He was so fast that even I had difficulty.
"it's the rain, he boosted his speed with the rain." I said to myself.
Then, out of nowhere.
The floatzel hit me with aqua jet.
I received quite some damage cause of it.
I also got knocked back for some distance.
He used aqua jet again.
I listened closely this time.
I closed my eyes and focused.
...
...
!
I got hit by another aqua jet.
But
Next time he uses aqua jet, he'll be in for a little surprise.
Just like I thought, he used it again.
I closed my eyes and listened.
...
...

I sidestepped and used iron tail where I stood.
My iron tail hit his leg.
He resulted to miss me, and scrape his knee across the entire field because of the speed.
He grunted really loud.
"ow you're DEAD." He screamed from rage.
He got up quicker than I thought, resulting in me getting hit with hydro pump.
I flew some distance.
I heard both mira and amber gasp in shock.
After hitting the ground I stayed down for a little to fake the floatzel out.
I got up slowly.
Then, when I looked up.
I saw another hydro pump coming.
I swiftly rolled to the left of me, avoiding the hydro pump.
charging up a flare blitz, I began to run toward the floatzel.
He kept shooting hydro pumps at me, I must have injured his leg really badly with that iron tail.
My entire body was surrounded with fire.
I was nearing the floatzel.
He continued to shoot at me the entire way.
He missed everything.
I slammed into him with flare blitz, sending him flying this time.
He got up, shooting another hydro pump at me.
I got sick of him using that move, so I used flamethrower to shut him up.
I inhaled as much air possible and exhaled as fast as possible.
A giant flame pillar emitted from my muzzle.
Both the hydro pump, and flamethrower hit each other.
To the floatzels surprise, the flamethrower was stronger.
It quickly gained on him, resulting in him getting hit.
He was pretty tired from all the hydro pumps he used.
Not giving him any time to think, I ran at him with iron tail.
He saw me coming and used aqua tail.
We dueled again, repeatedly slamming the attacks against each other .
I jumped up in the air and brought my tail down, straight toward the floatzel.
All he could do is attack with aqua tail.
When he did, we clashed.
I was in midair while he stood on his front paws to reach me.
After a short while I threw the attack up.
He lost his balance and hit the ground.
I slammed the attack down into his stomach.
He flinched heavily from that.
I landed on all of my paws.
He got up slowly.
He then charged up a focus punch.
I charged my super power up.
He ran at me, one paw ready to strike me with.
Just when he was about to hit me with it.
I caught the attack with both paws.
Then, I forced all my build up power into the floatzels paw.
A repeatedly loud breaking sound was heard.
The floatzel emitted a blood gurgled scream.
I chopped his shoulder, making his entire arm go numb.
And then, I pulled on his entire paw.
Resulting in me spinning him around.
I then released all of my power to chuck him into a wall.
A loud crash was heard when he made contact.
I looked at the floatzel.
He fainted, out cold.
The rain stopped...
And I calmed down.
Both mira and amber watched me with their muzzles open.
I began to pad towards them.
The leavanny was there as well.
When I reached both mira and amber, the leavanny ran towards me.
"oh my arceus!! Thank you so much!!" the leavanny yelled.
"that floatzel has been terrorizing all shops lately"
"he even stole from that glaceon right here." The leavanny said, pointing to mira.
"you have my deepest gratitude"
"how can I repay you?" it asked.
"give my friend her scarf, that's all." I said, calmly.
"of course." The leavanny said, running toward the shop.
It came back with the scarf in her leaf like claws.
"please, take it." It said.
It handed the scarf to me.
I looked at it in my paw, it was extremely soft.
I then padded over toward mira.
When I reached her, I gently wrapped it around her neck.
After I was done, I padded back a bit.
"I-it l-looks w-wonderful o-on you." I said to mira.
The leavanny smiled and returned to its shop.
"I-I-I'm s-s-sorry y-you t-two h-had t-to see t-that." I apologized.
Then..
I became paralyzed.
When...
Mira..
Hugged me...
"t-t-thank y-y-you s-so m-much." She said.
I didn't know what to do.
I just stood there.
When the glaceon realized what she did.
She squealed loudly, now hiding behind her sister.
I was blushing so badly, it might have been visible through my red fur.
Her fur....was so soft. I swore it rivaled mine.
She didn't make eye contact anymore.
"I-I h-h-hope I d-didn't s-scare y-you t-two t-too b-b-badly." I said, scared that this would end my friendship with the two.
Amber was just staring at me.
Mira tried to hide herself behind her sister.
...
...
My ears went down and my tail stopped moving.
I felt a tear forming.
Did I ruin everything?
...
...
My head went down.
...
Then, a soft paw was placed on the bottom of my muzzle.
It gently made me look up.
I saw amber's tear stained eyes.
She proceeded to loosely wrap one of her leaf vines around my paw.
It calmed me down.
She used aromatherapy.
...
It was her way of telling "thank you"
I knew it was.
My mother used to do it too.
It's when she's unable to pronounce her gratitude in words.
Is this what amber meant?
I got my answer when I looked at her eyes.
It weren't tears of sadness.
It were tears of gratitude.
"would you two like to go to my den?" I asked them, also baffled.
Amber nodded her head.
And mira was completely paralyzed.
Amber picked her up with vine whip, laying her down on her back.
We began to pad our way to my den.
They were silent.
I was too.
They were so grateful, words couldn't express it.
I was happy for them.
When we reached my den, I opened the door for them.
They sat down on the couch.
I offered them some berries.
They nodded.
I padded over toward the storage room.
I noticed that I was running low on berries.
"I'll have to gather some berries, tomorrow." I stated to myself.
I grabbed a lot of sitrus berries, putting them in a bowl.
I padded back towards the living room.
They had a smile on their faces.
It made me happy as well.
I placed the sitrus berry bowl, on the table.
I sat down in one of the comfortable chairs.
They began to talk about some of the funny things they experienced while they lived here.
After some time of talking.
They grew silent.
I knew why.
I decided to talk about it.
"both of you are worried about the chief, right?" I asked them, in a gentle tone.
They both nodded.
"I advise to stay away from those water types, they are bad news." I stated to them, worry in my voice clear as daylight.
"you were so amazing, you're a really good battler." Amber said in an impressed tone.
"ow, come on. It wasn't THAT impressive." I said them, rubbing the back of my head with one of my paws.
"y-y-yes y-y-you w-were!" mira suddenly said.
"y-y-you w-w-won f-from a w-w-water t-type, in t-the r-rain!" she said.

Then, when she realized what she just said.
She squeaked and hid behind her sister, again.
"who thought you to fight like that?" amber said, now feeling mira's forepaws wrap around her.

"I-I-I d-d-did m-m-mys-self." I answered her nervously.
I didn't lie.
My dad only helped me in the beginning.
...
A tear slid down my cheek.
Amber must of noticed, she didn't ask about it further.
"w-w-what I-I-is y-y-your n-n-name?" mira asked, now peeking over her sisters shoulder.
I quickly returned to my senses and answered her question.
"m-my name I-is anshul." I answered her.
Mira duck back behind her sister.
"anshul, what a cool name." amber complimented.
"th-thanks." I responded.
they stayed for a bit, just enjoying each other's presence.
Sometime later.
"I think we should go now, it's getting pretty late now." Amber said.
"y-yea, before t-those water t-types patrol around."
"how long will they patrol for?" amber wondered out loud.
"probably till 12:00am, then the ghost types come out"
"and in the morning, from 06:00am to 10:00am I'm assuming"
"they probably still roam around over daytime, probably to be absolutely sure that the betrayer doesn't come back." I explained to amber.
"I'll try to avoid them as much as possible." Amber told me.
"ow thank arceus, please do. I don't thrust those water types for a second." I stated.
Then, mira peeked out from behind amber again.
"w-w-when s-should w-we m-m-meet n-n-next?" mira asked.
"both of you are welcome at any time, just be careful with those water types, please." I answered mira.
She still had her scarf around her neck.
It really looked good on her.
Amber got up, mira as well.
"perhaps, we can meet over two days again. Maybe 12:00pm, is that ok with you?"
"of course, you two are always welcome here." I told them with a smile.
"aww, thank you." Amber said with a reassuring voice.
"t-t-thank y-y-you." Mira said, a small blush showing.
"please, stay safe." I said to them.
"we will." Amber responded.
They padded out the door.
I waved at them until they disappeared.
"wow, they actually see me as a friend"
"I'll do anything to protect them"
"whatever is going on, it's something else than their saying"
"why would somemon betray another mon without clear reason"
"I don't believe them." I said to myself.
I padded towards my bedroom.
I was pretty tired from the battle I had.
Crawling under the soft covers, while getting in a comfortable position.
I fell asleep rather quickly.
The next day 03:00pm
I woke up.
my minor wounds have healed.
The long sleep, did me good.
I yawned and slowly got out of bed.
Padding towards the bedroom door.
Closing it behind me.
I softly padded towards the kitchen, picked up a bowl with my jaw and padded towards the storage room.
I grabbed some oran and sitrus berries, putting them in the bowl.
Also getting an apple, I rolled it with me.
Now in the living room.
I sat down on the couch.
As I began eating, I realized that I had to get more berries for a resupply.
I remembered the swampert chief talking about a valid reason to leave the village.
"it's also for my patients, they have to let me leave." I said.
I ate my breakfast and padded toward the door.
Also grabbing my leaf bag on my way there.
I opened the door. And closed it behind me.
I padded towards the entrance of the village.
To my surprise, none of the water types stopped me.
They looked at me.
The entire time.
I ignored them and made my way to the entrance.
When I got there.
I saw a breloom and a poliwrath.
When I padded by, I swore I saw the breloom nod at the poliwrath.
As to indicate something.
Continuing along the path, picking any berry that were useful.
While I was looking for berries, I got the feeling that somemon was watching me.
It didn't take long at all before I heard them follow me.
I got as many berries as possible.
"now, the special growing area." I said in my head.
When I got there.
A lot of the berries had regrown.
All except for one.
The passho berries were all gone.
"that's strange, why would only the passho berries be gone?" I wondered.
I continued on my way, hearing the pokemon behind me several times.
"they are following me, somewhere." I said in my mind.
When my leaf bag was full of important berries, I tried to backtrack.
That was a mistake.
I tried to turn around, but got hit with an powerful attack.
I flew for quite some distance.
Scraping across the ground because of the speed, slowed me down .
When I tried to get up, I got hit with another attack.
A pokemon pounced on me.
It was bigger than me.
It had me pinned down with one of its big hand.
"so, looks like the murderer finally decided to leave his den." The pokemon that pinned me down said.
I looked up at it.
It was the swampert.
"do you know, how long it took to get to you?" he asked
"when I saw that the bridge was broken, I instantly knew somemon got across it."
"that mon was YOU"
"a fire type, the murderers."
"of COURSE it had to be a fire type"
I grunted from the pressure he put on my side.
"ow don't worry, the pain shall soon be gone." The swampert said, now smirking.
There were a lot of water types behind him.
Many I saw when exiting the village.
"when I sent my best recruit out to deal with you, he betrayed us"
"I heard you completely destroyed a water types hand yesterday"
"there is only ONE death fitting for your pathetic typing"
"drowning, BRING THE BETRAYER!!" he yelled.
I then saw.
The vaporeon.
The one that I gave a second chance.
He had bruises everywhere.
Some water types dragged him toward me.
"clyde, you failed me the first time and betrayed us by letting this pathetic creature live"
"if you finish him right now, we forgive you and let you live"
"better hurry up clyde. We are waiting." The swampert said to the vaporeon.
The vaporeon padded toward me.
he was terribly wounded.
he got closer.
We made eye contact.
He grabbed me by the neck, and dragged me toward the nearby river.
However.
I didn't struggle to escape.
The look in his eyes, told something.
He was about to throw me in.
...
He jumped in with me.
I instantly felt my body heat lower to critical levels.
I opened my eyes under water.
The vaporeon, he was watching me.
Then.
He nodded.
And threw me up.
Before I knew what was happening.
I landed on land again.
My vision was blurry.
I saw the vaporeon jump out of the water.
I then saw him use surf on all the other water types.
We were on the other side of the river.
He used surf a bunch of times.
"can you run?" he asked me.
I then realized, he was saving me.
I quickly ate a tamato berry to heat myself up.
After, I yelled at him to run.
He used surf one more time and turned around.
We both began to run.
"DON'T LET THEM ESCAPE!!! KILL THEM!!! KILL THEM BOTH!!!" we heard the swampert chief scream.
Both of us were running.
...
...
The vaporeon was slower than me.
He fell down, grunting by the pain of his wounds.
"grgrhh." He grunted.
I stopped and looked back.
"go on without me!" he said.
I wasn't going to abandon him like that.
I quickly ran to him, picked him up and laid him on my back.
I began to run again.
"w-what are you doing? Your never o-outrunning them with me on your back!" the vaporeon said.
"I'm not leaving you here to die!" I said back.
"if you don't. we'll both die!" he yelled back.
"they are after me! I'm the betrayer" the vaporeon said.
"p-promise me o-one thing, take g-good c-care o-of amber and mira f-for me" he said.
I was still running away from the water types.
"their locking the village down! I can't enter without being attacked!" I said
"then, d-don't g-get s-seen." The vaporeon said.
"I'll only promise you if you do the same!" I said.
"what?" he asked.
"if you survive, come back to me." I said to him.
...
"dead mons tell no t-tales." He said.
"just do it!!!" I yelled.
...
...
"f-f-fine."
I stopped.
"paw print it." I said, holding up my paw.
"I promise you to come back" he said, pressing his paw into mine.
"I promise you, I'll protect amber and mira with my life!" I promised him.
"good luck!' I said to him.
"d-don't m-mess t-this u-up. And, tell amber......I love her." He said, tears going down his cheek.
I nodded to him and ran away.
He ran the opposite direction.
"DON'T LET THEM GET AWAY!!!" I heard the swampert scream.
"I need to get back to the village, without being seen" I said.
"wait, maybe they are all following me from the village. Most are out here perhaps." I stated.
"please arceus be with me." I prayed.
I began to carefully pad around the forest.
"I think I lost them." I said in my mind.
"don't go near the path again." I warned myself.
I began to slowly make my way back to the village.
"ow no! how could we lose a fire type IN A FOREST!" a pokemon yelled out of frustration.
"that must be some of those water types, I have to tread carefully." I said, padding really carefully.
It took me an hour to get back without being spotted.
The water types lost me.
I saw the entrance to the village.
"should I make a run for it?"
"I don't see anymon"
...
"no, I can't risk it." I made my mind up.
I had to enter the village via an alternate route.
...
Then, I came up with an idea.
"I can use the trees to jump." I said.
I began to climb a tree.
Making it to the closest branch near the village, I jumped.
I landed on a building.
I then jumped down from the building, into an alley way.
"now, how many water types did he leave behind?" I questioned myself.
Using every corner to my advantage, proved rather helpful.
I made it past a lot of water types by watching the corners carefully.
Some water types were just screwing around, not even paying attention to their surroundings.
"I'm getting closer to my den." I stated.
My heart was beating fast
The suspense was unreal.
...
Every alleyway was my friend.
There were still quite some water types around.
I hid in another alleyway.
"luckily they are dark enough to hide in." I stated.
...
I then saw my den.
Bad thing was, there was a pokemon somewhat near the entrance.
"hmm, how am I going to get past him?" I asked myself.
"perhaps." I said, brewing a plan.
I smashed a barrel in the alleyway.
"who's there!!!" the water type yelled.
I heard paw steps coming toward the alleyway.
Making myself as small as possible.
It was dark enough to hide myself.
The water type was now in the alleyway.
He walked slowly.
I got ready to pull of my move .
When he was really close.
I blew some steam at his paws.
"the hell?!" he called out.
He looked down at his paws.
I pounced over him, softly landing behind him.
He was still looking around in the alleyway.
I softly padded out of the alleyway.
There was no other mons on the street.
I cautiously padded to my door.
I opened it slowly, and closed it behind me.
Quickly running away from the door.
"I'm home, finally."
"I'll have to talk with mira and amber about this."
One day later
02:00pm
Amber and mira weren't here still.
They would be here at 12:00pm.
I was sitting in my chair. Waiting for them to arrive.
30 minutes later I heard something by the door.
I immediately got up and opened the door.
Two eeveelutions rushed inside.
I closed the door.
"oh my arceus, I was so worried about you two!" I said.
"sorry, we were slowed down by some mons." Amber said.
"what?" I asked
"we were forced to go to another announcement."
"we aren't allowed to leave our den at all anymore"
"they said something about another traitor ." amber said.
It shocked me.
"so you're locked in your den?" I asked
"y-y-yes." Mira answered.
"I have some bad news as well." I said in a sad voice.
Both mira and amber looked at me.
"I'm probably the second traitor " I said to them.
"I also know who the first traitor was" I said, now looking at amber with a sad look on my face.
"w-w-who I-I-is it?" amber asked worried.
"it's that vaporeon." I answered.
"c-c-clyde?" she asked, even more worried now.
"y-yes, he-"
...
A tear went down ambers face
"he s-s-sacrificed himself, to safe me"
"he promised me, he'd return here if he survived"
"and I promised him, I'd give more than my life for you two"
Amber broke down, crying with her paws in front of her eyes.
Mira hugged her.
"h-h-his l-last w-words t-to me w-were 'tell amber....that I love her" I said.
Mira sat amber down on the couch, hugging her the entire time.
They came up with a plan to meet every day 5 minutes before midnight. Most water types would be gone by then because of the ghost types that arrive at midnight.
Anshul talked about the swampert chief and that he's the reason why clyde did what he did. He was forced to fight in the water rebellion.
Anshul, amber and mira agreed to call the water types the rebellion.
Amber was destroyed that she would never see her boyfriend again.
Mira was extremely sad because of her sisters state.
Anshul was also sad to see his friends in such a destroyed state.
All three knew
They couldn't
Continue
To live here
Anymore.
They needed an escape plan, a good escape plan.
"Amber? mira?" they looked at me.
"I promise both of you, we'll all make it through this"
"I'll always stay by your sides"
"and"
"I'll never abandon you two"
