let me tell you the tragic story about my hot pocket and me.
so when i was in high school, twelfth year, i was a varsity cheer leader. and i was an active bitch. i would get up at four thirty in the morning to go to the gym. i would get there at five and work out until seven. then i showered and got ready for school. i would arrive there at seven in the morning and school ended at three thirty. then i had cheer practice until five thirty.
i would eventually get back home around six and depending what day it was, i had church activities. but that's not the point. this was one of those days where it was six in the afternoon and i had nothing else planned, so i got home and heated up my dinner (a hot pocket, THEE LAST HOT POCKET IN THE FREEZER, I MIGHT ADD).
the microwave dinged after the minute and a half of heating my food up.
i opened it, took my hot pocket out and literally planned to savor every moment, like my mouth was WATERING. but i had to take the pepperoni out cause i hate pepperoni and back then they didn't have the cheese ones like they do now.
so whatever, i tookt he pepperoni out and just as soon as i was ABOUT TO take a fucking bite and my dad walks into the kitchen.
he said all casual, "what are you eating?"
and i muttered, a bit annoyed, "a hot pocket."
and he was like, "let me try." and took it from my plate. he ate hALF OF Itttttttt. i was internally screaming. but i kept quiet cause come on, thanks to my dad i had that damn hot pocket since he pays for everything in the house.
so he just set it back on my plate whilst my head was down and i didn't know what to do. and he left the kitchen and i just stared at what was left of my dinner. i fucking started crying right then and there. and i shit you all not, i never forgot that horrible moment in my life. of course i ate the rest of it, i was starving. so i had to eat some fucking cereal to balance it out.
and that was the tragedy of my dinner in the winter of 2011.
