"Technoblade..?" I muttered out his name
All he was doing was standing around, petting my horse Remi. Though he turns to me a little surprised when I said his name.
"Y/N..? What are you doing out this late..?" He questioned
"Me and Snowflake were going to sleep in my carriage... what are you doing out this late?" I asked
"Uhhh, just came passing by and I saw this horse here" Techno replied
"His name's Remi" I said, walking closer and petting my horse "Schlatt got lost in the forest one day and Remi here have him a ride back home. And he's just stayed at our house ever since. He's probably one of the fastest horses I've seen"
"Oh really..?" Techno says
"Yeah! He's also the coolest horse..!" I said
"Oh, not as cool as my horse" He says
"And what's your horse's name?" I question
"Carl" He replies
"You named your horse Carl?" I questioned
"And you named your horse after that rat from that one show" Techno says
"Oh wow" I say
I then notice Snowflake jumping into the carriage, probably wanting to go to sleep.
"Uhmm... So, Mr. Blade. Were you just passing through?" I questioned
"What? Do you think I had other intentions?" He asked
"I mean--" I was shortly cut off
"The answer was yes. Yes I had other intentions" Techno says
"Ohhh?" I hummed, a little surprised by his reply
"Actually, I was kinda hoping to see you out here" He mutters
"You wanna hang out with me?" I questioned
"Well--- If you insist..." He shrugs his shoulders, a smirk appearing on his lips
I then smirk back at him, walking past him to walk back into the forests.
Wow- I come to realize how often I go into the woods now...
We walked into the woods, we didn't talk at all. It was just calming silence. That was until we found a random flowing river.
This seems like a nice place.
I decided to sit onto the grass and remove my shoes and socks, placing them beside me as I swung my legs down and dangling them over the edge so they just touched the cooling water.
I then turned to Technoblade who was just staring at me, slightly confused.
"Come on, sit down" I said, patting the empty patch of grass beside me
He then hesitantly listens to what I asked of him, sitting down besides me we both looked down into the river.
"So, what happen to you when you got back to Pogtopia?" I asked, meeting his gaze
"Well... I was being yelled at by a small child- which was Tommy. He was pretty angry about me almost killing Tubbo and wanted me to pay for it" He explained
"Make you pay? Did he want to fight you or something..?" I asked
"Uhh, not really- but we did end up fighting it out--- me winning of course, no one wins against me" Techno chuckled
"Hmm... I'm not confident in my strength, but I think I would be able to stand my ground if I ever fought you" I said
"Is that a challenge?" He questioned
"More like a statement, but take it however you'd like" I say
"Wanna fight now??" He asked, trying to joke around
But I just smirked.
"I'm up for the challenge"
I then proceed to lay down on the grass, lifting my legs up and bringing them close to me. I then maneuver my hips to shift my body to the right and with all my strength I pushed my legs against Techno's back.
And because of the force he was not prepared for, he fell forward and tumbled into the river.
I sat back up as soon as I heard the loud splash that echoed throughout the night. And I just saw him face first into the water, not moving.
My eye widen, slightly scared.
Did... I accidently kill him..?
I really hoped I didn't, or else Pogtopia would be mega pissed.
I cautiously made my way down into the river, luckily the current wasn't too strong, so I wasn't stumbling around. And I was even more luckier when I come to realize that the water was shallow.
I hurried over to Technoblade, but before I could make any contact with him, he manages to move his leg swiftly between mine and trip me up, causing me to fall on top of him.
We both let out a quick grunt of pain before we both began to laugh out loud.
"This wasn't how it was suppose to go" He chuckled
"You'd expect me to fall straight onto my ass with what you just pulled? Don't think so buddy" I laughed
I then get off of him and both stood up out of the water.
The wind clashing with the water against my skin sent a shiver down my spine.
It's been a while since I've been this chilly...
"I don't know if this is just speculation, but you seem cold" Techno mutters out
"Eh, it's whatever. I don't get cold easily since I pretty much live in cold climates- hence why I own Snowflake" I explained
"You lived in a snow biome?" Techno questioned
"I currently live in a snowy area. But that's only because of work" I said "After I left home, a year later Schlatt ended up going on his journey and we've messaged eachother ever since"
"And uhh... speaking of your brother... Is he..?" Techno trails off
"Looking for me?" I finished his sentence "Possibly"
I then looked up towards the sky, watching the moonlight through the leaves of the trees.
"But... he's most likely drinking right now. Since he usually does that in high situations... or just as a hobby" I muttered out
"High situations?" Techno questioned
I turned back to Techno "Uhhh... He and Quackity got into an argument" I bluntly said
Techno gave me an understanding look before moving to get out of the river. I followed suit, him offering me a hand to help me get out, which I did end up taking.
He helps me out of the river, but before I could fully get out of the water he ends up loosening his grip onto me, causing me to fall back into the cold water.
As another loud splash echo's throughout he forest I couldn't help but scream at him.
"Idiot!! What was that for?!?!" I exclaimed
"That's what you get for throwing me over board...!!" He laughed
"Oh my god- I hate you" I chuckled, standing up once again
"No one hates me. Just mildly dislikes me" Techno explained
I rolled my eyes at his words before helping myself out of the water.
We both sat on the grass, our clothes completely soaked in water.
I don't think I have another set of these- at least that I know of... I wonder if Schlatt will be mad....
I then took a stand, causing Techno to do so too.
"Hey Techno, it was fun to talk with you again..." I said with a small smile
"I wouldn't of blamed you" Techno says
"Ay-" I said
"--But I guess I can say the same for you...." He mutters
"But- hey. Blood God. I'll have to get heading back to Manberg, kay?" I said
"Yeahh, I think the people back at Pogtopia would want me back anyway... They're all a little sus of me already" Techno says
"Haha... Seems so..?" I said
"For the most part" He replied
I nodded. Then I walked over and crouched down by my shoes and socks to pick them up on one of my right hand. I then stood up straight again and turned back to look at Technoblade.
"I guess i'll see you whenever fate allows us to meet again" I say
"Knowing fate, we're going to meet again soon. But maybe not in these circumstances..." He mutters
I knew he was right.
I knew we were probably not going to meet like this again.
But I could only hope.
"Have a good night Techno" I said, taking my leave
I didn't hear what he said properly as I was walking away, but he did mutter something under his breath as I was leaving.
But that's not what stuck my interest anymore. I just waned to get to sleep and see Snowflake again.
The quiet chirps of crickets, the swaying of the grass and leaves, the wild animals. I could hear all these things as I walked through the forest what was dimly lit by the moonlight.
It seemed so nice. So peaceful. And with what just happen with Technoblade not that long ago... I felt like everything was perfect.
I wish every day and night were like this...
But life doesn't always go like that...
