today was going to be a tough day
you promised your friends Christina, Allie and Ana you would hang out with them

WRONG... THEY WERE BRINGING ALONG THEIR BOYFRIENDS
christina was dating ponyboy, allie was dating dallas and ana was with sodapop. ofcourse their friends, a greaser gang, was coming along too but your friends already took the hot guys.
you could flirt with steve a bit but from what you heard he was talking to someone named ava and his teeth and nose didnt exactly sit with you ...
johnny was too cute
and two bit... no. he- no just no.
but wasn't there seven guys in the gang? maybe.... you didnt know. that math test today restricted your brain from thinking properly for at least the next few days. ugh quadratics. when would you even use that in real life anyways *insert eye roll here*.
you shook math and all its equations out of your head and got ready. some simple leggings and an oversised sweatshirt would do.

you heard a knock at the door
"coming!!", you shouted, and quickly walked towards your door
opening the door you saw your friend ana here to pick you up. she was wearing black sweats, her brand new white airforces and a grey crop top showing quite a bit of cleavage.
"hey y/n", she waved
"uh ana whats with the shirt", you paused, "you do know were playing football right?"
she rolled her eyes, "yes duh"
you were so confused. her boobs could literally fall out of that shirt it was so low. "then-"
"GIRL CHILL!", she interupted you
"but-"
"my knee is still bad from surgery remember?", she laughed, "i cant play sports on it yet".
"ohhhhh im so sorry", you felt bad now
"nah its fine, me and sodapop will just end up making out by the fountain most of the time anyways", she giggled
"oh my goodness ana", you laughed, "lets just go pick up the girls".
"oh yea allie went with the curtis' with dally for dinner and christina lives right beside them anyways so we can just go to their house"
"oh okay thats easy... also ana i realy need a boyfriend, we need to find me one".
you didnt think she would respond since she was too busy texting but you thought you heard her say 'yes you will date karen'. you didnt respond back but were kind of confused.
who was this karen? who would even name their child karen in the first place? and what the fuck did she mean.

*time skip to when they get to the Curtis' house*
"hey ana, hey y/n", allie waved as she exited the house with dally's arm wrapped around her waist
she was wearing grey sweats, a black FRIENDS hoodie and some black runners
"hey guys", you waved at dally, and ana jogged inside the house to find Soda and you could see him wrap her in a huge hug through the window
again your heart sank. 'why can't i have a boyfreind', you thought.
"hey y/n whats good", dally said in his deep voice
"everythings good dal", and he nodded and went back to talking to his girlfriend
the rest of the gang exited the house but there was another person you didnt recodnise. he was tall, handsome and VERY muscular. immedialty he made eye contact with you and smiled
"i dont belive weve met", he stuck out his hand, "im darrel, but everyone calls me darry"
you took his hand "y/n, nice to meet you", and you smiled at eachother
in the backround you heard two bits ouuu and ahhhs before steve and johnny both slapped him
"hey wheres tina and pony?", soda questioned while holding in a laugh
allie, dally and ana and soda simultaneously glanced at eachother and burst out laughing
"what?", you questioned
and you heard the story of how ana and sodapop met while also hearing the story of how they saw pony railing the shiii out of christina in the curtis kitchen
"im going to have to give that boy a little talk after this" darry angrily said
"karen", ana replyed and everyone started laughing
then you realised. THATS WHAT SHE MEANT BY KAREN! ana thought you would look good with darry. then again, you had developed a bit of a crush on him since meeting him...
the laughing started up again when everyone saw christina and ponyboy coming around the corner, ponys blue shirt wrinkled quite a bit.
christina wore black high wasted shorts, and ponyboys blue sweater with black runners too. ugh and her hair even looked good all messed up
wait... then you remembered the story you just heard and began to laugh too
"hey christina", dallas chuckled "fix your hair"
"u- uh ok?", and then she realized and elbowed ponyboy
"aw shit NOT AGAIN DALLY", ponyboy shouted, "STOP SPYING ON PEOPLE".
"um pony he wasnt", johnny said quietly and everyone held their breath
"well now we know exactly why they were late", steve teased
it was dally who burst out laughing and soon everyone joined in even christina. i felt bad for pony, it must suck to be the butt of the gangs jokes.
in the midst of all the laughing and joking around you felt a hand on your back and you jumped
you turned to see darry
"oh sorry y/n didnt mean to startle you there", he apologized
"oh no its fine Darry", you smiled back
again he made eye contact and he touched your arm. shivers races along your body and your heart pounded. for the 20th time these past minutes you thought again 'wow hes sexy'.
darry cleared his throat, "we dont always make fun of him like this you know"
"yea i know", you giggled, "but it seems like its impossible to not joke about him sometimes... no offence"
he laughed, "none taken, and thats what im always telling him, to use his head"
"it would help him a bit"
"he just cant get it through that thick skull of his", he shook his head
you grinned. and looked around at all the couples, talking, laughing and... kissing? ana and sodapop were going at it around the side of the house.
darry seemed to follow your eyes "oh no they dont", he whispered and went to break the two up
now you understood what ana meant by Karen. Darry did kind of remind you of one, just a male, hot and muscular version.
just then you heard a bang as steve flipped off a car.
"c'mon man lets go play some ball now", dally shouted at everyone with one hand around his girfriend and the other around Johnny.
you followed beside Darry, wondering where the night might take you...
