(Y/n)'s Pov
I walked into the gym still a little mad from what happened awhile ago in outside the gym.
"(Y/n) over here!" I heard Kaitlyn call. I went over to her and she helped me with the full water bottles. Our team was on the last set against a team. "Are they playing another games after this?" I asked her.
"Yea, after this match they have lunch and then they have a 15 minute break and then they go up against a team called Karasuno." A loud spike was heard through out the whole gym, I turned around to see Lev celebrating after scoring the last point. He may suck at receiving but geez he can spike. It kind of gave me chills.
"Ok everyone time for lunch!" Coach Nekomata shouted. Before they went we handed the boys some water so they won't collapse out of dehydration. I went up to give Kenma one first because I know he doesn't like getting all sweaty and worked up and he seemed kind of tired. "Thanks" he said and smiled. I couldn't help but blush at his cute little smile. What?!- Stop (Y/n) he's just a friend. I slapped my face with both my hands lightly getting the thought out of my head.
"(L/n)-channn!" I heard Lev coming from behind me. I already knew what he was going to ask. "Can I please use you phone?" he tried smiling sweetly at me.
Over the months I got closer to the team. I only talk to Kenma, Kuroo and Kaitlyn but I've become comfortable with the team and there all my friends. Of course I haven't talked to any of them yet but I talk to them through writing something down or texting something down on my phone.
I grabbed my phone and typed in notes,
Where's your phone?
"It's dead I was watching youtube on it last night and forgot to put it to charge." he frowned. I swear sometimes I feel like i'm taking care of a 5 year old. "Pleaseee (L/n)-channn i'm bored and ive been working hard here haven't I?" he gave me puppy eyes. I can't. He's too adorable. I signed and typed,
Fine but save me a seat with you guys so that way I can make sure you don't break my phone.:)
"Thank youuuu." he smiled and took my phone with him. I went up to Kaitlyn to finish handing out food. "What's up with Lev?" she asked. " He wanted to use my phone since his is dead." I told her. "So i'm going to sit with them today to make sure he doesn't break it or anything."
10 minutes later
" I can finish up here there's only 5 more guys left." I told Kaitlyn. "Ok i'll go get our lunch then, i'll be in that table over there so come get ur lunch when your done." I nodded and she left.
I was on the last two guys when I realized who it was.
The blonde from earlier. Wow great, just great.
"Oh it's the shortie from earlier." he said with his annoying smirk. "Hm and she still haven't given me and apology for running into me earlier." he told a green haired boy with freckles. I gave him his food so that way I can go already. "Now hold up i'm still waiting." I rolled my eyes and went to grab a small notebook. I wrote one the paper.
I'm sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going. Now please take your food and go.
He was about to say something else when Kuroo walked over. "Hey (Y/n) is he bothering you?" I nodded no and quickly gave the other guy his food. I took of my apron and walked went with Kuroo.
"What's up with him?" he asked. " When I was refilling the water bottles I ran into him and fell, he told me to apologize but I got to scared and left without a word." I told Kuroo. "Yea Tsukishima can be like that."
"Tsukishima?" I questioned. "Yea yesterday he was blocking spikes with me and my friend." We got to our table that's right behind where Lev was using my phone so I can keep and eye on him.
"(Y/n)?" Kuroo called me. " Hm?"
"I totally forgot but the first day you came in the gym you received the ball the Lev spiked at you perfectly." Oh yea I did do that I totally forgot about it too. "Did you ever play volleyball or was that a fluke. "Wait you guys didn't know?" Kaitlyn slightly got out of her seat. "(Y/n) has been playing almost all her life."
"Really?" Kenma looked up from his game. and everyone was looking at me now. "Well I stopped playing a year ago but yea." I said quietly. "That not only it though." Kaitlyn continued "She so good she even got invited to go to the Japan training camp this year and last year."
"Whoa so you must be crazy good." Kuroo said. "What position did you play?"
"I can play all positions well but I prefer to play setter or libero. But libero is my favorite position to play." "Wait so your telling me-" Kurok said. "That your manger for a VOLLEYBALL team at a VOLLEYBALL training camp and you NOT PLAYING VOLLEYBALL?!" I was taken aback from how shocked he sounded. I nodded yes. "Nope nope." he said as he sat down again. " Tonight after practice is done your coming with me to play a match." I could feel the radiant heat coming off him, and I didn't want to die so I agreed.
I could hear Kaitlyn and Kenma giggling from my reaction. "Well Kaitlyn plays too can she come?" I asked. "Yes she's coming to." he said.I looked at Kaitlyn and stuck my tongue at her while she threw a plastic fork at me.
Later on that night after practice.
"Kuroo we don't have any knee-pads or elbow-pads." Kaitlyn said. "It's ok I asked my friend to bring some for you both." We we're already walking to the gym when I saw a very familiar face.
Keiji?
I couldn't believe it. How could I not have seen him. I ran up to him and hugged him from the side. He looked confused until he saw me. "(Y/n)?" I nodded "What are you doing here?" he gave me a big hug.
"She's our manager." Kuroo and Kaitlyn came up to me and Keiji. "Really? How come you didn't tell me?" I grabbed my phone and quickly texted.

"Well it's really good to see you I feel like it's been forever." I nodded in agreement. "So guys are we gonna go or..?" Kaitlyn asked from behind. "Yea yea we're going let's head inside already." Kuroo lead us in the gym where there was a two toned haired guy yelling and talking to a familiar oranges hair boy,Lev... and blonde guy.
I rolled my eyes and signed. Kuroo must have noticed and said "Sorry chibi-chan i'm also helping out Tsukki dude with his blocks since he's completely weak." he laughed.
The two other boys who were talking came up and greeted us.
"Hi i'm Hinata Shoyo." He bowed slightly
"I'm Kotaro Bokuto." He also bowed
I looked at Kaitlyn for a little help.
"Hi i'm Kaitlyn Ackerman and this is (Y/n) (L/n)."
"Hm how come you didn't introduce yourself (L/n)?" Hinata asked.
I looked at Kaitlyn and gave her a slight nod.
She went up to them and said, " (Y/n) has a condition call Selective mutism which is and anxiety disorder. She can talk but chooses not to due to personal reasons, she only talks to people she feels completely comfortable around."
While Kaitlyn was explaining I could see Tsukishima with a distressed look on his face.
"So who does she talk to?" Bokuto asked
"She only talk to me, Kuroo , Kenma and her sister."
"Oh ok well thanks that helps a lot ." Hinata smiled
"Well now that we have explained things let's get started." Kuroo said clapping his hands.
"Who will be on whose team?" Lev asked
"Kaitlyn, (Y/n), you and me will be one team and Akaashi, Bokuto, Hinata and Tsukishima will be the opposing team. "Ok that's good enough." Keiji said.
"Yesss (Y/n) this means I can set for you just like back then!." Kaitlyn jumped excitedly. I smiled with her, to be honest I was kind of exited since I haven't played in awhile.
We were on our side of the net getting ready for a small game. Kuroo and Bokuto did rock-paper-scissors to see who would serve first and Kuroo won.
Kuroo jump-served the ball over the net. His serve is fast and powerful but Tsukishima managed to hit it up, it was a bit sloppy but Keiji set it up for Bokuto.
Everything seemed to be in slow-motion. Bokuto was in the air almost a second before making contact with the ball, at the speed of light I revived the ball up perfectly, Kaitlyn ran over to set it and tossed to Lev who powerfully hit the ball into the ground.
Everyone was quiet for a moment or two.
"WOAHHHH!!" Kuroo and everyone else except Tsukishima and Keiji shouted and looking at me. "(Y/n) that was amazing you were so fast and that recieve was perfect!" I smiled and blushed a little from the attention.
"If you think that's cool just wait till she gets to her other positions." Kaitlyn said proudly with a smirk on her face.
"Well it's (Y/n)'s turn to serve so we'll be sure to see what she's capable of." Keiji said.
I went to the back of the court getting ready to serve. I didn't want to waste my energy so I didn't jump with everything but I threw the ball up and did and Oikawa serve. The ball hit the other side of the net with a loud SMACK!!
Again everyone was in shock. "(L/n) teach meee!" I could here Hinata from the other side of the court. I couldn't help but giggle a little bit.
"Whooooo!! That's my best friend!" Kaitlyn screamed in the gym. I covered my face out of embarrassment. "That's also my best friend!" Kuroo screamed after her, I slapped my face and laughed quietly at them covering my smile.
They gave me the ball again and we continue to play
2 sets later
We were tied in sets. who ever won this set won the practice game. I've been focusing on libero and setting position, not once have I spike except for serving if that counts. I get a lot of attention from my jump so that's why I try not to spike.
Tsukishima and I were at the front of the net facing each other. "Havent been spiking much huh? Maybe if you grew a few inches you might be able to get it over the net." he said with his annoying little smirk. I didn't want to give him the satisfaction of getting annoyed of him (which I was already) so I nodded with an expressionless face.
It was Keijis turn to serve so we got into position. He serve it right to the center of our side of the court, Kaitlyn dived and got the ball up straight to me, I set it up and did a quick with Kuroo who slammed it through Tsukishima and Bokutos double block.
Timeskip cause I'm lazy
We were at match point, with Keijis team a point behind. Throughout the match Tsukishima would throw little insults at me about my height and how I couldn't spike because of my height. I've never really ever been mad at anyone before but this guys was pushing it. We just need one more point so I didn't care about attention at this point.
Bokuto did a powerful serve which went straight towards me. I received it easily towards Kaitlyn, right before she set it I raised my hand signaling her to set it to me, I got back a little and jumped.
(My jump is a few inches higher than Hinatas jump)
I stretched my arm back ready to spike, Tsukishima was trying to block my spike but I saw a spot that I can get the ball through perfectly but before I spiked it I looked him straight in the eye and hit right through his block, the ball slammed into the ground making a loud BAM!
When I landed everyone again was silent and shocked except for Kaitlyn who was smiling proudly. I turned around and looked at Tsukishima who was also shocked with slightly widened eyes.
He looked at me only I didn't have an expressionless face on this time...
I was smirking right back at him.
