Rosaleé had finished her last detention after the incident with snape two weeks ago. Mcgonagall had dismissed her and she had packed up her things ready to leave.
"Mr Lupin? Can I help you?" The Professor spoke causing Rosaleé to look up from her things.
"Oh er no thanks Professor. I- er I was just here for Rosaleé"
"Oh of course" the Professor smiled between the two of them before leaving the classroom.
" what are you doing here?"
"I don't know I- er... justwantedtoseeyou"
"Huh?"
"Sorry I'm muttering, I was saying that James is with Lily, Sirius is god knows where and Petes asleep so I though I'd come see you"
"Oh okay, well do you want to come with to get some hot chocolate?" The girl asked flinging her bag over her shoulder "I'm heading down to the kitchens now"
"Yeah that'd be great"
And so the two made their way down to the kitchen and was handed a couple of mugs of hot chocolate. Rosaleé thought it would be a nice idea to take them up to the astronomy tower so Rosa grabbed a blanket from her dorm on the way up and was currently wrapped up within it next to Remus.
"I can never get over the view here" Rosaleé sighed gazing out onto the lake and rolling hills. The sun disappeared behind them causing a beautiful orange glow to be cast over the land. December had come quickly and the air was sharp. Rosaleé gripped her mug tightly enjoying the warmth it was emitting while Remus tugged his sleeves down attempting to warm himself up.
"Get under here" Rosaleé laughed as she opened up the blanket for Remus to slide under. He did so silently, watching the sun set and the moon rise.
"I much prefer the view here than at beauxbatons" she continued playing with her rings on her fingers.
" do you miss it there?" He asked as his fuzzy jumper tickled Rosaleés side.
"Not really. I just miss my friends and family"
"The same friends who sent the howler?" Remus asked chuckling at the memory.
"That's them. Georgine, Emilie and Cecile. We were really close. Kind of like you and the boys I guess. It was Georgine that gave me this tattoo", Rosaleé pulled down the collar of her shirt to show a Chinese Fireball Dragon resting on her collarbone. It's body slightly moving up and down as if it was breathing.
"It looks like it's moving" Remus said eyeing the dragon.
"It is" Rosa confirmed "he's asleep right now, sometimes he likes to move around. He enjoys resting on my neck sometimes, in my hair"
"Wow, that's so cool. Wait until Sirius finds out he's going to be so jealous your tattoo moves"
"I've actually got multiple" she said pulling her top back up.
"Really where? Of what?"
"Maybe you'll find out one day" she winked with a seductive smile. Her Veela charm subconsciously coming out leaving Remus slightly shell shocked and in a daze as his cheeks blushed.
"I- er- err"
"Relax rem. I'm joking with you...Partially"
Remus cleared his thoat pulling the blanket tighter around him as a gust of wind blew through the tower " why a Chinese Fireball?" he asked.
"It's in honour of my mum. From the stories that I've been told she was quiet feisty. Beautiful. But dangerous. I like to think the dragons a good representation of her"
"Mother like daughter" Remus chuckled
"Hey! I'm not dangerous"
"Rosie... you literally broke snapes nose like two weeks ago"
"Huh oh yeah. Maybe I am" she laughed
Remus only shook his head at the blond next to him. The fading light illuminated her hair making it look like spun gold. Her skin glowed, free of any imperfections. Her cheeks rosy from the cold wind and her lips parted breathing in the fresh air. It was no wonder she was the face of every wizarding magazine and advert. As Remus could not find one flaw in the girl.
He couldn't help but feel inadequate next to her. It seemed she had it all. Money, fame, looks and a personality to match.
What was he? A halfbreed. A boy that could only afford second had clothes, that were tattered and frayed. He didn't deserve to be friends with such an amazing girl. For everything about her life seemed to be perfect. And by him being in her life, he ruins it, taints it.
Rosaleé tapped his head gently with her finger, brushing a strand of hair off his forehead as Remus gazed off into the distance, thinking hard. "Where'd you disappear to?" She smiled playing with the lock of hair.
"Oh- er nothing" he stammered gaining his composure. Remus couldn't help but feel at peace as he and Rosaleé watched the Hogwarts grounds, pressed up together, wrapped in blanket and sipping hot chocolate. A warmth settled over the pair. Something unspoken.
